Purchase to mount an outdoor CCTV cameras on an iron railing, which was very successful. However, it seems to be more suited to indoor environments as corrosion has started to be evident in the Chrome plated components.

Haven’t used it will an SLR only a camera phone. But it’s ideal for what I wanted it seems study and well made. I’m very pleased with it.
I use it with my walking stick as a monopod
It is a bit heavy and movement of some elements are not as smooth as one expects. It would have been better if it was made from aluminium! Design of the arm operating the bolt mechanism is very basic.
If only manufacturers asked themselves where someone would use something like this? If it is to carry around with camera and other equipment then it needs to be light and slim
This is a well designed item that can fulfil its function admirably. If used for heavy duty tasks, this can result in some slippage of the jaw-lining material. Some users might wish that a double-ended quarter-inch length of threaded rod was included, in addition to the already included ‘shoe’ mount accessory.
I’m quite pleased with this mount I use it on my laser level and was glad to see all metal parts. Would recommend
Not much to say other than bang for buck they are great. There are many iterations of these on amazon and I have a suspicion they are all exactly the same units. These were the cheapest incl the ball head clamp, just great overall. If you need a lot of them, which I did, buy them.
Mostly ok not that adjustable and does come loose sometimes unless you tighten A LOT.
I got this clamp for a trail camera I wanted to secure more to an old piece of machinery in a barn to capture Barn Owls flying in and out.. it is very secure and strong, well built with nice ball head to position camera.. This will also be used for when I find a tripod difficult to setup for space etc.. ie clamp to something stable for low shutter speeds.. All in all a good clamp with rubber grips on both jaws..
Used to clamp a baby monitor to a ceiling beam.
It’s nice and sturdy, and seems as if it would hold a heavier load if necessary.

This clamp is all metal and will lock down very tightly letting it support a full size SLR with no problems.
