Perfectly articulate
Purchase to mount an outdoor CCTV cameras on an iron railing, which was very successful. However, it seems to be more suited to indoor environments as corrosion has started to be evident in the Chrome plated components.

Haven’t used it will an SLR only a camera phone. But it’s ideal for what I wanted it seems study and well made. I’m very pleased with it.

It is a bit heavy and movement of some elements are not as smooth as one expects. It would have been better if it was made from aluminium! Design of the arm operating the bolt mechanism is very basic.
If only manufacturers asked themselves where someone would use something like this? If it is to carry around with camera and other equipment then it needs to be light and slim

This is a well designed item that can fulfil its function admirably. If used for heavy duty tasks, this can result in some slippage of the jaw-lining material. Some users might wish that a double-ended quarter-inch length of threaded rod was included, in addition to the already included ‘shoe’ mount accessory.

I needed to mount a shotgun mic and this worked perfectly for that. Super small but plenty sturdy to hold the mic (which is actually pretty light weight). It was smaller than I expected but worked out well.

These are amazing for the price
Not much to say other than bang for buck they are great. There are many iterations of these on amazon and I have a suspicion they are all exactly the same units. These were the cheapest incl the ball head clamp, just great overall. If you need a lot of them, which I did, buy them.
Bought one of these last year to make an adjustable mount for our trail cam. Over the course of the year the screws rusted to the point we couldn’t turn them at all. We bought another and are being more careful about rust proofing and protecting it.

Well made, and strong clamp
I got this clamp for a trail camera I wanted to secure more to an old piece of machinery in a barn to capture Barn Owls flying in and out.. it is very secure and strong, well built with nice ball head to position camera.. This will also be used for when I find a tripod difficult to setup for space etc.. ie clamp to something stable for low shutter speeds.. All in all a good clamp with rubber grips on both jaws..

Strong metal clamp with a sturdy metal single ball 1/4 20 thread camera adapter that locks securely. I bought one from another seller with the same clamp but a double ball adapter and that one won’t lock my camera in place. This one is solid.
When i ordered many had reviews of this unit not being sturdy well i have experience that. The ball that it uses to lock in is metal with hard plastic. it does the job that i need it to. But the stability of it is not sound. Thats why it got my review.

The clamp is pretty good quality for the price. The fastening screw is fast and moves nicely. The mini ballhead tightening is not as smooth, but seem sturdy. I'll be using this to fasten a tablet to my tripod.

I bought this to hold my audio equipment to my tripod, which it does well. The small ball head is poor quality and can not hold much weight but for my use it fits the bill. Do not attach a camera to this as it will not hold it reliably. I would hesitate to even put a GoPro on this head. The clamp itself is well made, with some time and effort the ballhead could probably be replaced with a better head.
Bought this to go with my 7″ external monitor for my DSLR. I can completely trust this thing to stay rock solid on the tripod and keep the monitor in place. No worries.
Like my title says it’s all metal with the exception of the rubber pads on the actual clamp of course, which are a little thin and will most likely wear out quickly with vibration and the such but I feel this will be a great mount for my needs. It does open wide enough to clamp to the engine guard on my motorcycle which was my only real concern. If it fits that it will fit anywhere else. Once you figure out all the pieces and clamp techniques it then becomes a pretty invaluable tool to your action camera shooting needs.

This clamp is a small and useful way to steady a camera for long shots if there's something available for the clamp. It's solidly made but I probably would limit weight to a small compact system camera and light prime lens.
