The Velcro closing makes them easy for children with dexterity issues. Lovely looking boots, and ideal for youngsters.

These are great. No laces. My son can put them on and off and these have trumped his expensive Nike ones as much easier to put on and off.

Got for my little lad who’s just getting in to football. Didn’t want to get anything expensive in case it wasn’t for him.

They’re not leather, and have a plastic feel to them. They also seem to take an age to dry out.

However he loves them, the colours are bright, they’re comfy and they do the job perfectly. As a first pair of football boots they’re perfect for the price.

Nice fitting, soft material. Reportedly very comfortable from my son.

Looks nicely made. Given how quickly feet grow at this age I’d expect these to last the distance.

    No complaints. Would buy again.

These are great little boots. They are for my six year old who hasn’t yet mastered laces. The good thing is there are no laces on these yet the Velcro keeps them nice and tight and easy for him to take on and off.

He loves the gold and black pattern and found them quite comfy to wear. They are a big hit.

My 9 year old always starts growing as soon as we buy new clothes or shoes. He is 9 and is already a size 5. We spend so much buying new shoes half way through the term. When I saw these on Vine it was a great opportunity to replace his boot which are too small.

They look good, obviously they have no branding visible which is probably a good thing in schools.

They fit like any other football boot and the quality looks good.

If they last I will definitely buy the next size to save some money

    These football boots are excellent.

They have a moulded stud rather than a removable stud which makes them suited to grass rather than astro. The stud length is pretty average which would offer good stability and grip.

They have been modelled on a design from a mainstream brand and the stud design in theory gives you more movement when you twist.

In keeping with modern design the boots are very lightweight and will offer limited support but this seems to be the norm nowadays.

    Modern and comfortable

What young lad doesn’t like football? Not many I’d guess, and with a hyperactive five year-old grandson to keep entertained running off excess energy in the local park with his siblings has involved many a kick around, so it seemed perfectly natural to get him his first ever pair of proper football boots when these Rhyme-Zeal manufactured pair were offered for review under the Amazon Vine programme. Available in red and blue patterns as alternatives, I chose the more neutral gold pattern as loyalty to a team hasn’t yet been established, a colour which is repeated on the end of the 13 rubber studs in three different shapes which will give sureness of footing on muddy pitches given they are all good length, with the round ones about 12mm long.

The boots arrived in a simple, re-sealable LDPE bag, which given how muddy boots can get is a great way to transport them home after a game. I’d normally not be happy with this type of packaging as a committed recycler, but in this case the bag can be put to good repeat use. UK children’s size 12 were selected and fit as expected, almost immediately they arrived, with enough time for a back garden kick around for a delighted five year-old before sunset. The boots have what looks like traditional laces, but these are sewn in and don’t require tying cleverly, rather the fastening system is a simple Velcro strap, a system I know fastens securely from my own cycling shoes. This is ideal for a young man still learning to tie his laces, so a good choice for the typical age range this size will fit.

The upper outer of each boot is suede leather, with the inners a mesh which allow sweat to be wicked away so they don’t end up clammy. There is no raised insole, the insides are flat. Leather is naturally breathable, unlike many man-made materials which don’t help. That material choice also means they will soften up with repeated use and form to the foot, adding to comfort. The sole is completely rubber, so a good material to aid grip, working in the same way a tyre might. The other major selling point is these are extremely lightweight — built well enough to cushion and protect the foot but not feeling heavy and tiresome as a game progress, allowing for movement as required. At 25.99 I think these boots offer very good value for money, and a delighted grandson is definitely going to be getting plenty of use out of these, meaning his parents will get a bit of rest after he falls off to sleep worn out from emulating his footballer heroes’ efforts. I like the build quality, I like the stud length which will help when playing football in the local park with siblings and friends, I like the design which is modern, particularly the ‘false’ laces, and I like the light weight. They are available in boys and girls’ models (the difference typically being the design of the sole) in sizes from Children’s 10 to adult 5, which should fit many teenagers.

Some clever, practical features; great for young football players

We got this for a friend’s son who loves football. He was very impressed by the fit and the design.
The son got lots of compliments from his friends at his first training session with them on.

Will have to wait a bit longer to see how durable they are but so far so good.

Possibly a little bit pricey for an unknown brand but they are about the same as other unknowns on amazon and about 10-15 than known brands.
