Chlorine
Ensure you have the correct amount of chlorine in your pool or hot tub to help prevent bacteria and harmful organisms.
Chlorine levels should be 1-3 mg/litre (ppm) for pools and 3-5 mg/Litre (ppm) for hot tubs
Bromine
Ensure you have the correct amount of bromine in your pool or hot tub to help prevent bacteria and harmful organisms.
Bromine level should be 4-6 mg/litre (ppm)
pH
Measure the pH levels of your water to so you can ensure the water is safe and comfortable to use.
pH levels should be 7.2 – 7.6
Total Alkalinity
Measure the total alkalinity levels to help prevent your water becoming corrosive.
Levels should measure 80 – 100 ppm or 100 – 120 ppm

These test strips certainly seem to give accurate results. My only very slight frustration is that the differentiation in colours for the chlorine levels is so small that it can be difficult to distinguish between low and’OK’.
Seems to be ok, easier with only three items to look at.

I particularly like the chlorine/bromide feature that turns black if you have too much chlorine in your spa – my previous testing strips didn’t have this feature

These are perfect for testing the chlorine levels of your pool/hottub. Comes with a handy chart so you can read your water levels correctly.
This is a pack of 70 strips, they are easy to use and I think they are very curative.
You can take the measures of chlorine, PH, alkalinity and bromine which is good and can be used for a hot tube, swimming pool and any Spa.
They are fast and simple, I recommend them.

These strips also apparently have an added safety feature of turning black if either of the bleaching agents it too high to read. I haven’t tried that out.
As you can see from the photo, the colours are easy to determine. The pads don’t quite line up with the colour panels, but I don’t think it is far enough out to make it difficult to read.
Am important take away is that one is expected to read the values within 30s, which is shorter than many other types
I have had some kits that have way to much to look at by the time you have looked at all them all the colours change.
This is simple total alkalinity, chlorine/bromine and ph they are spaced well and are very clear to read. The best before date on my pack is 07-24 this is great although I wish they would last me this long.
Overall great value and super simple to use I couldn’t ask for more!

They work and they are fairly easy to read. The only issue was that mine shows yellow-orange where it should have shown white or a tinge of blue …not sure what that’s about.
A good container of test strips.
Easy to follow instructions, with the colour/result chart on the side of the bottle which is really handy rather than referring to an instruction leaflet.
Owning an above ground pool means needing to keep on top of the water quality so it’s safe for the kids (and the dogs) to swim in. These strips are easy to use and measure chlorine, bromine, pH and alkaline levels. Just dip a strip in the water for a second, dab the excess water off then compare the strip’s colours to the colour chart on side of tub. While not the cheapest test strips out there, they are not the most expensive either, and Safe Swim is a brand that I’ve used a few times.

This set is very easy and quick to use. The bottle that the tablets came in is small, and storing it takes up no space at all. Also, all the information that I need is on the bottle, which I find very convenient.
In under a minute, I can find out the levels of chlorine, bromine, PH levels, and total alkalinity in my swimming pool or hot tub.
Even though now is not swimming pool season, I am not worried because these strips have a use-by date until the middle of 2024.

These hot tub test strips are great! They give me consistent, reliable readings on the pH and alkalinity levels of my hot tub. They’re easy to use and the results are quick and accurate. Highly recommend!
This pack of 70 costs only 6.99 (at the time of this review) which makes the strips cost 10p each. A small price to pay to ensure that the water is safe.
These strips test for pH, alkalinity, chlorine and bromine, it’s important to maintain these levels as I have learnt the hard way in the past!
I have tested them and so far they work as well as their branded competitor, the instructions are easy to follow and are great value!
They are so easy to use and the instructions and results chart are clear and easy to follow.
I’m so pleased I ordered these – at least I can now monitor the water and avoid excess chlorination in future.

Nice long use by date of July 2024
Simply take a test stick and wiggle it in the water for 5 seconds,
shake off the water and
after 15 seconds you can compare it to the colours on the outside of the tub.
Adjust your water and test again, keep going until it is safer..
