Easy to assemble and to attach tools. Light and easy to charge and to empty. Good with hard and carpet picks up all the edges and cat hair! Wish I’d had one sooner!

The folding storage is absolutely brilliant. A winning feature. The machine is easy to use and seems effective. The dust compartment however is small and fills very quickly. But that’s minor for me but worth pointing out. Looks good, decent pick up. Quality

What a joy to not have to pick out the hairs from the cleaning end of the vacuum cleaner! Vacuuming is a small chore compared to that. Old lady, ancient bones, even more ancient cottage – I didn’t need anything huge or tethered to an electric socket. I’ve been using a cheap one for around the last three years and I knew it wasn’t picking up all that well. Well. When I received the Shark and put it together (easy), charged it, I was amazed at the power (a bit noisy) and how much more it had picked up than my old one. I charged it at the extension socket next to my chair – you don’t need to have a wall charger, and it’s still going strong enough to show my friend, who was suitably impressed and going to replace his Dyson with one. I don’t know where to store it (I have no cupboards), as it folds up unobtrusively and I’m in danger of forgetting where I left it! It has only a couple of accessories, and they look useful, but I don’t need more than that, so a huge plus for a person who has nowhere to keep stuff!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy wife had been on at me for weeks to get her a new Vac.I thought that the old one (10 years) still worked OK.She disagreed so we looked round for a new one.Looked at Dysons but they were stupid prices. She suggested that we look at the Shark Range and I was pleasantly surprised by the price. The icing on the cake was that Amazon were doing one she liked (Shark Ninja)on 5 months interest free credit, didn’t know they offered that service.Got it next day on free delivery from Amazon Prime..She vaced the lounge carpet and the result was amazing, the collection part was nearly full, she was amazed,I was impressed. She uses it every day and is still very happy, she happy me happy,Simples.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery pleased with my new vacuum cleaner. Easy to handle, love the idea of simple flip switch to go from hard floor to carpet, plus the extra suction power . Very easy to store as it folds over neatly thus taking up less space.

Being able to bend the vacuum cleaner to my needs came in handy quite a few times. I also love the fact that I can just open the trash compartment and then put it back instead of buying new bags. The attachments fit on the very end which is useful when needing attachments fairly low on floor level and as well as on the middle section which also was very useful when vacuuming something relatively high at knee level or higher. Overall a cleverly designed vacuum cleaner. The foot of the vacuum cleaner likes to get stuck the tube sometimes though so you need to walk a bit further back for this to not happen. This is the only negative which can be avoided by just stepping back a bit, all the rest is really nice

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI would have given a 5 but I feel the suction is could have been better when using hand unit although my husband disagreed and said it was better inside the car than the last one. Overall a great unit, lightweight and easy to charge, clean/empty and fold for storage.

I previously had a Dyson stick. This cleaner doesn’t seem to have quite as much power. And the main head on the vacuum keeps locking in the upright position while pushing backwards and forwards at an angle any steeper than 45. Not massively impressed, but I’ve bought it now

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersIf you don’t want to spend much like Dyson vacuum cleaner, then shark is the best option to clean your lovely home, it has best hair wrap technology which I am totally satisfied with, it solved my big problem , hair stuck like in carpet which was really make me crazy while cleaning but now it’s so easy to clean with shark, it’s bit noisy but that’s okay, this baby doing its work best. Highly recommended.. I feel like I have magic cleaning wand .. it’s wireless so it’s very handy and comes with two attachments so u can clean anywhere in house.. must buy and it is very easy to store , it’s foldable so takes very small space

Golden Review Award: 29 From Our UsersI’ve waited for months deciding to go Dyson or Shark & once I decided which Shark upright flexible model to get…

I’ve now had it for approx 4-5 wks & I couldn’t have made a better purchase, in fact how did I ever manage vacuuming without it. It’s light weight, super easy to piece together & switch out the different tools needed, handy push button switches to change for the different type of flooring or surface.

I totally love the front light for those dark spaces & as someone with long hair, the anti hair wrap is the best invention ever. The plug & charge is also brilliant with plenty of juice for my 5 bed house or the odd spillage as needed.

Every now & then you make a purchase that makes life so convenient, you can hardly imagine how managed without it. This was one of those purchases. May it last long 🙂

Golden Review Award: 54 From Our UsersAn excellent product that for 170 was excellent value. I already had a full sized Shark which I purposely purchased for dealing with long hair which I am very happy with. This one also deals with long hair very well. The problem with long hair is that it doesn’t fall out of the dust box easily, but wraps itself around the inside filter. However, it DOES pick it up for which I am delighted and pulling a lump long hair off the filter when emptying is a small price to pay. It is light enough and the battery lasts for a number of quick whizzes around the heavy hair/traffic zones. The facility to hinge the pipe in the middle on this model is far more effective than on the larger mains model: in deed it’s easy to unlock the hinge and use it all over in that mode. It’s a little heavy in this mode and you almost have to get into a swinging rhythm using it. In any case, I would never use or recommend it as a substitute for a whole house machine. I suspect that the turbo brush head augments the main motor because the suction is not as strong when using either of the two tools. The dirt box doesn’t empty as easily as the videos suggest, but probably would if I were only picking up rice crispies or plastic beads from a polished floor. In real life, dirt is a mixture of different things which tangle together so you might need to use your hand to encourage the dirt, dust and hair to fall out. If this isn’t for you, get a bagged vacuum! It’s possible to remove the dirt container completely to make emptying easier and also to carefully rinse out the container (there does come a time when the build-up of dirt becomes ugly to behold). Just make sure you dry it thoroughly.

Tools provided, just ok, bag a bit silly. Rather have had a storage hook. A full charge from empty: 3 hours.

In spite of all my apparent criticism, when you use it within the parameters I have outlined, it is worth every one of five stars. For light use: excellent, for 170 great value.

I’ve had it just over a month now and like it even more.

5.0 out of 5 stars For occasional use around the apartment.

Exceeded expectations. Very good vacuum. I read the reviews about the weight & noise, but don’t see it myself. It isn’t that heavy, and if it is a bit heavy it’s because it’s quite well made. It is a bit loud in max power in a small area (like a porch) but really no cause for concern. Very good Hoover with quite a good battery life. I have a 3 bed bungalow and got round 3 times on one charge. Grea

It seems to glide over carpets and you wonder if it’s having any effect and then an incredible amount of gunk comes out of the bin when you’re done. Folds in two for easy storage in tight spaces. Gets into and under most areas. Very impressed.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is a great lightweight vacuum and a bargain price. The suction, as promised, is excellent and there’s a choice of two pressures depending on whether you’re vacuuming wood or carpet. There’s even a super boost. I love the way it folds in two for storage and doesn’t take up much room. Everything is very easy to use and comes with great instructions.

I have this as my day to day vacuum cleaner. It’s light, decent suction, easy to maneuver, great at getting under furniture, and perfect fir the stairs. However, for a deeper clean, I still rely on my wired Shark vacuum cleaner. I would definitely recommend this item though, it makes it much less of a chore!

I had a shark corded hoover, which had great suction and was easy to use. I decided to purchase a cordless one, despite having issues with the suction power on a previous cordless i’d returned.

This one is great, while it doesn’t feel as powerful as the corded one it copes very well with my house. The fact its cordless means I can just grab it at any time so I hoover more often and less is required.

One thing I miss that was included with my corded one, was a wall mounted bracket/hook. It made it easier to store. Luckily it does have a hook molded onto the back, so with a bit of adaptation (cutting a slot out of my old sharks bracket) I was able to mount this one in the utility for easy access.

It comes with one battery and a plug to charge it, where as a previous cordless version (the one I returned because it was terrible) came with two batteries and a dock.

I like almost everything about it. It is lightweight, easy to use, easy to clean, the attachments are quick and simple to change, and it has excellent suction. The only drawback, if it can even be called that, is the two little wheels at the front of the main head clog with hair and I’ve only been able to clear them with tweezers. Hardly a problem.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersSo far so good. We’re about a week in, already the anti hair wrap is making a massive difference as my hair sheds like a yeti but hasnt clogged up the mechanisms at all. It is quite loud when on, but does a really good job and the suction is powerful. A good range of accessories are included as well as a storage bag to keep them in.
It is great for stairs, especially with the pet tool. All of the settings are good at brushing up the pile on my carpet so that it looks freshly cleaned. Battery life is holding well.
Only qualm so far is that when the waste hold is opened it doesnt all fall out and does need some agitation to get it all out.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersAfter having the use of my friends Shark hoover, after my old one died on me, I knew this was the one I wanted!
So I already knew how it would perform.
It’s easy to use, not being too heavy plus I love the flexibility, so no bending required!
Charges pretty quickly, gives a good clean and is so easy to swap from full to handheld.
Very easy to store, especially if you’re short on space, with the fold down.

Although it’s not a cheap hoover, it’s not as expensive as other brands, but this is great value and now that I know what it’s like performance wise….I won’t use any other brand.
    Loving the colour too!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI don’t normally write reviews, who has the time, but I do feel the need to write a review for this! I have had many cordless sweepers over the years and my favourite was the always the Gtechs as they seemed to last and do a decent job on small messes, but this has been a whole new experience as the Shark is actually a cordless vacuum cleaner and it does exactly what it says. We have had this cleaner for over a year now, I have only had to take it apart twice in that time to clear blockages and neither of those times were due to hair on the roller which was a daily chore with the GTech. The Shark is really loud, that would be the only negative I would share about this item, but ours is still going strong a year on (which I would expect), it cleans brilliantly on all surfaces and what a revelation the anti hair wrap is when my daughter and I both have long hair and it’s great on animal fur as well, I love it, as much as I can love a cleaning gadget!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersEverything is pretty good. To empty is easy. To charge battery is easy. Looks good. Down side is it’s really quite heavy and the long arms seem quite flimsy. It doesn’t come with a wall stand to clip it to while not using so we have to lean it into a corner where it keeps slipping down and hitting the floor. Still it does what it should and definitely helps with picking up hair and not tangling in vacuum. The suction is not bad it’s pretty good too.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis was a Black Friday purchase, with the approximately 100 reduction in price sealing the deal. The floor head is fitted with two sets of brushes, one for hard floors and a second for carpets that agitates the fibres. Not only does this help it pick up dirt from the carpet, it also revives it somewhat. You select the setting by moving the on/off switch progressively. There is also a pistol grip you can press to get a turbo boost. This only works whilst being pressed.
This pack came with a good selection of tools allowing you to easily use it as a powerful handheld for things like the stairs and others for upholstery and use in the car.
Some people have mentioned it as being a bit heavy. I disagree. I just think it is solidly made. My only gripe is that it is not easy to move the floor attachment, with its long pole, in order to empty the canister or use a different attachment. It is very unwieldy to do on your own. I have found the easiest way to do this is to lay the machine flat on a sofa for stability.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have 2 golden retrievers and a mixture of stone floors and carpeted floors downstairs, and need to hoover almost daily because of dog hair. I have tried (mainly by buying second hand on Marketplace) seemingly endless hoovers – but I finally decided to bite the bullet and bought The Shark anti hair wrap, thinking I would most likely find it like all the others, pretty useless. However, nice surprise – it is fantastic! It copes with both the types of floors, has headlights that allow me to see those clumps of hairs that are hiding and breaking the stem means I can get under all the chairs and kitchen island. Highly recommend!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI was shocked when I did the initial swoop of the whole house once the battery had been fully charged – the amount of dust my old hoover just wasn’t picking up anymore.

Yes the unit is a little heavy after a while of hoovering, but it’s not often I need to do that much of a hoover. Overall, I’m really pleased with this hoover. And a final plus, as the head is small, it reaches some places that are pretty hard to get to

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersFor me this is worth every penny, I used to hardly ever vacuum as was such a pain, now I genuinely enjoy it and do it multiple times a week because it is just so insanely easy and gives such good results, it’s very rewarding. I have a one bed flat with wooden floors and the first time I used it it honestly looked like I’d polished the floor, it gleams now. Also amazed how much dust it still picks up between regular vacuums.
I was surprised how small it is, especially when folded down
I can do the whole flat easily on one charge
I love how you can take off the stick so you can use it on sofas and smaller items
Also like how you can then charge it wherever you want
The feature where it bends to vacuum under sofas etc is very cool
It’s also very nimble, that’s probably one of the best things, so going round corners etc is easy as the head can sort of swivel side to side
    Obviously great to be cordless
The onnnly thing I’d mention is that it would feel slightly weighty if you were doing a whole house, but you can’t really expect less when the whole machine is in hand and it’s really not bad
Previously I may have felt it silly to pay so much for a vacuum esp when I had an old fashioned one already, but I’m now a big believer in buying good appliances to make housework easier so you can enjoy your weekends and live in a clean home that makes you calm and happy

On first use, it looks like the right decision, and a few people we know have said they also have and are happy with Shark.
The thing that struck me most was there was no plastic packaging. (See photo) Everything was card or paper. Extremely good example. Other electrical items we have bought recently have come with loads of plastic wrapping and polystyrene. All manufacturers should look and learn.

First whip round our 1 bed flat using the battery already in situ and I was turned! Attachments should do the trick elsewhere, had a little go in our camper too. Boost helps for car mats with dog hair but didn’t want to deplete the battery. I have chronic pain so wanted lightweight and easy and although it may not be as light as others, the speed in which I can do the whole flat will be a lot less strenuous. Anti hair wrap works really well . Two batteries but I’ve only ever used one so far for a three bedroom semi even when I use extra power pull. Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersI am so pleased I made this purchase. I already own the grown up model pet Anti hair wrap vacuum which is quite heavy but does an excellent job. The cordless has excellent suction and so much easier for me to maneuver, ( I have an accute back injury) I can literally zip around with this one, dog and cat hairs are lifted easily. The booster for max power on my carpeted hall where my big hairy retriever likes to base him self is no problem for this wonderful cordless vac.
It comes complete with a handy bag to keep the tools in, which is a nice touch and saves you hunting around for mislaid heads. The charge lasts very well. This Ninja does such a good job that when I want to have a deeper clean the collection bucket on mama Shark barely has anything in which proves that little Ninja is doing a great job. I have 2 cats & my Goldy so animal fur & my long hair strands get “about” but I dont have to worry about anything as the Anti hair Wrap works a dream. Thank You Shark your products make my life a cleaner place to be.!

One little extra I would like for my OCD is the option to add the correct size brush to clean out the tricky bits of static dust inside the bucket & head as I like to clean inside my machines after every use.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersNeeded a cordless hoover, as using a conventional one had become really hard with my disability getting worse. This machine is fantastic. The Flexology wand is amazing for getting underneath furniture, but because it can’t be “locked in” to that position, there is no additional support and you are bearing all the weight of the machine at the top.

The lock system for attaching and detaching accessories is really straightforward, and the “extra power” trigger is also really useful. A massive bonus is also that the battery is detachable and can be charged as such, so there is no need to mount any fixtures on your walls.

This review looses one star, because it doesn’t come with any useful “dusting” attachments like other hoovers, which is really annoying. You should be able to buy them separately, but you won’t be able to to, because they’re never in stock on the Shark website (or indeed anywhere else!).

Would highly recommend, as long as you don’t want to buy any useful extras for it!

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersI bought the Shark steam cleaner a few months ago and was highly delighted with it, so when my Dyson started playing up I decided to try the Shark. It compared well against the Dyson and was much cheaper than the latest model.

Even though this vax is heavier than other market leaders, which is not good for my arthritis, I love it.

It compares well with the main market leaders in every way, except the weight. I love the way it stands on its own when unfolded as well as the way it folds reducing the amount of space it needs.

The Shark gets into corners better removing all dust and dirt and lights up the floor so you can actually see it picking up the bits much clearer and reduces the need to go over the same surface over and over again . The storage compartment removed easily and quickly and is easy to clean and, unlike the others, does not collect dirt in the closure plates as some of the others do. It is generally a much cleaner process to empty it.

Being able to move directly from one surface to another at a touch of a button and boost the suction where necessary is a very smooth and quick process.

It has a number of add-ons, including a very useful pet attachment, a suction surface attachment which is great for work surfaces and a stair brush, as well as the proverbial corner attachment.

To top it off there’s the two batteries. There is nothing more frustrating than getting part way through the cleaning to find the vac has run out. Not with the two battery Shark. Two batteries and a double charger ensure no interruptions and a continuous clean.

The only negative for me is that there is no separate extension attachment for overhead cleaning but I still have my old one for that and the other benefits certainly make up for it.
