I would recommend anyone to buy this game. The graphics are much better on the Xbox and ps5 but the switch does hold out well.

Plays well on switch
A great sonic game , I am really enjoying this on my switch it looks great when handheld although sometimes I do find I miss some things that are happening on screen causing me to run into or miss landscape as it pops up. This does not really affect gameplay and it is not as bad on the tv. Overall really fun to just explore and play .

Our son is obsessed!
Our son has always liked his switch, but usually because he plays fortnite and minecraft. It’s been a really long time since he’s found a game outside of those to sink his teeth into and he loves this! He’s been making us all watch him play it as he’s been so excited about getting through the levels.

One of the best sonic games of all time. Must buy. The gameplay is great, cyberspcae is great, though the controls could have been better, the combat is great and the story is the best we’ve seen in the franchise.

I have been a Sonic fan for at least 20 years now and I can easily say it is one of my favourite titles so far. It keeps the old formula but adds new elements that keep it fun and fresh. The graphics on the switch aren’t quite as good on other consoles but it’s definitely worth it.

For a switch port it’s runs really well
An excellent and fun new step for Sonic games, sadly held back by a mixture of hardware limitations and lack of development. Even on the PS5, this game struggles from pop-in and dodgy textures so it’s no surprise it’s worse on Switch. Resolution is 720p max docked and around 540p in handheld. That wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for the heavily paired back graphical settings which give things a blurry look. Still, if you can look past the graphical issues the game is still fun to play.
Great combos and story is fine, and overall gameplay is amazing. Open world aspect is new and interesting for a sonic game. 10/10 must buy
