Most of the previous reviews reflect my opinion on this product. People buying this know what it is used for and I will echo the opinion that the bucket is an excellent idea. However, there were several comments about difficulty in opening the bucket and being myself a person who has, at different times, had difficulty opening eye drop bottles, soap dispenser bottles, and indeed on 1 occasion a hair lacquer can felt that I could help on this occasion. A litre tub of ice cream has a button on one side which when broken allows removal of the lid. The bucket has a similar button and I inserted the blade of a pair of kitchen scissors into the gap and eased it sideways gently which gradually broke the seal on the lid and about halfway round was able to manually remove the lid. The scissors need a pointed not rounded tip and to be of larger size than nail scissors. Because of the nature of the contents the seal has to be quite strong but if you take a bit of time the lid can be removed undamaged. Hope this helps as I think the bucket such a sensible piece of packaging
Lightweight. Ideal for the flower trays on the balcony. Permits good drainage for the summer display without the struggle to carry gravel up a flight of stairs. Not to mention the mess should the gravel create if spilled!
Yes it does the job then it does another job when this soil mixture is added to the clay based borders.
My only gripe is I couldn’t get the lid off the bucket. I ended up cutting a hole in the lid to get to the product. Otherwise it was fine to use.
Cheaper than anything I could find locally. The big tub is useful, previously used a box, which got messy, this is much better. Other than speedy delivery there isn’t much to review. Happy with purchase.
Item arrived swiftly. I love the fact the Perlite comes in it’s own large hard plastic storage tub which is much better for storing rather than in some kind of thickened plastic sack which can be difficult to seal out the damp. Would recommend and will buy again when needed.
The bucket is massive first and foremost. It may only be filled halfway but now I have a 60L bucket I can reuse in the garden!! No packaging on the outside and no labels or anything. I like the lack of material waste! I’ve never used perlite before so hopefully it does what I need it to but delivery was great and it looks like all the stuff I’ve Researched so, so far so good! Took me like 10 minutes to open the bucket though.
