It works great in my old car with the AUX input using my Samsung Galaxy S22 USB-C output. I needed a USB-C converter to auxiliary input in my car since my S22 only has USB-C output. So, this cable worked well in my old car when used with Samsung s22.

With all the myriad of plugs and adapters and input : output choices it can get ridiculous carrying around adapters and dongles to convert everything. So I’m happy that this cable exists. I use to send the audio out of an iPad Pro into the aux input of my older model car. Well made, good build quality and nice material. Very happy with this.

I use this to send music from my phone (Samsung Galaxy A33 - with no headphone jack) to my car speakers (Honda Odyssey 2009 - with no Bluetooth). The USB C side plugs into my phone's charging port and the other side goes into my car's aux port. It works great. I have to turn up my car speaker volume a notch or two higher than I did with my previous phone/aux cable to get the same level, but it's still very reasonable with good sound.

Great Cord for USB C phones
This is a great cord for any USB C device that supports audio out.

Having a phone, especially one with a built in DAC allows a great experience when using this cable.
I noticed no issues with the audio and everything sounded crisp and clear.

The length of the cord was generous and allowed for good placement wherever I needed it.

This cable works great for applications that require 3.5 mm to USB C connections such as older cars that have AUX ports or using USB C headphones with a laptop that has the headphone port. I have an older laptop that does not have Bluetooth capabilities and this cable allows me to still use my headphones. Same concept for cars that have AUX but no Bluetooth support, this allows you to still jam out to music on your phone and use all the music apps. Great for phones like Samsung and potentially future iPhones that may move to USB C rather than lightning.

    Works as it should
This product works exactly as you would expect. However, this only works one-directional meaning that you can only play usb-c to aux, not the other way around. This was disappointing because I was planning on using it with usb c headphones and my desktop but I wasn’t able to. This isn’t the cords fault so I can’t fault it there. Using it correctly works great and provides good sound.

I would recommend this to others knowing what it can be used for!

    Perfect!
It’s hard to get excited over a cable, but this is a fantastic cable none the less. It shouldn’t really exist but thanks to certain brands doing away with the standard 3.5mm jack, we’re forced to add yet another piece into our lives. Quality wise, it’s great, being braided not only means it’s less likely to get tangled up, but also lasts a lot longer due to being more robust and can be bent thousands more times than a standard wire.

At its current price of 8.95 I think it’s a fair ask. Sound quality is great, it looks stylish (as far as cables go anyway) and it works as intended. Can’t argue with it really!

    Fantastic cable, great quality
Excellent cable. Useful if you don’t have a headphone jack on your device and feels good quality being braided. Worked perfectly with my phone and found the audio quality fantastic. Perfect.

The price is good, it's a nice braided cable and the sound quality is good as well. This is a simple way to connect quality headphones with a 3.5mm jack to your smartphone that doesn't have an audio jack, and it works as it should. No complaints.

Solves the problem of not having an audio jack on your phone.
The VAKS 1.5 metre cable incorporates an audio DAC so you can connect your headphones directly to your phone – just like the old days.

A DAC chip is housed at the USB-C end of the cable, the other end terminates in a MALE 3.5mm audio jack which plugs directly into your headphones replacing the original cable. The listing does not provide the spec of the DAC chip but Audio Player Pro recognises it as “UACDemoV1.0”

It works perfectly with my Samsung S20 and should work with any modern phone with a USB-C port which is configured for audio.
The other use I have for it is to connect my phone to the AUX-IN jack of my stereo system and stream music through large floor standing speakers.

Note, this cable does not support music control buttons, microphones or device charging, so if your headphones have buttons to change tracks etc or a microphone for call these function will not work.

The cable is well made. Each end has an aluminium casing with rubber stress relief, the audio jack is gold plated and the cable is wrapped in a soft to the touch nylon braid which does not kink or tangle easily. In use audio sounded clean and clear and I could not hear any noise being introduced by the DAC. I would say the sound profile is flat with no exaggeration of bass or treble.

Cost at time of review was 8.95 which is reasonable but there are similar spec’d 1.5 meter cables available for less. 4 stars.

Attaches any USB C audio output such as found on many of the latest mobile devices to any 3.5mm aux port for audio playback. The only drawback for this one is it doesn't allow power delivery. I typically use these for testing various AV components since it won't be used for very long. But other than that this device works just like any other aux cable.

    Very good
If your phone or tablet doesn’t have a headphone output (most recent “flagship” Smart Phones) but does have a USB-C port this will plug in and create an analogue / stereo audio signal on a 3.5mm jack to play music etc on an external source

Connects fine and the output was at a perfect level on my portable speaker

The cable is a woven / braided type so its going to be durable yet flexible

    Very good

This is perfect for my older model truck. I have an AUX port but no bluetooth connectivity option. I've used the type that rely on radio stations to connect the phone to the radio, but driving across the state means frequently having to change the station as I hit various areas where the station I was on is too close to a local station. This cord solves that issue, and the sound quality is significantly better. Great value!

Awesome cable for modern phone and an old car!
Nearly all modern cell phones have dropped the headphone port, and my 2011 car supports Bluetooth for calls but not for playing my music – just a headphone jack aux port. Therefore I didn’t have a way to play my music in the car with these newer cell phones – until now!

This cable works great! It’s plenty long and the sound quality is excellent. I may need to pick up another so I can keep one in my car and have another for when I need to drive my daughter’s car as it’s the same situation with that one.

The cable seems to be made well, and the USB-C connector fits firmly but isn’t too tight.

Definitely recommend and am considering purchasing a second one…

Connect a modern USB C socket mobile device to an old audio input using a 3.5mm jack
If your phone or tablet doesn’t have a headphone output but does have a USB-C port this will plug in and create an analoge /stereo audio signal on a 3.5mm jack to play music etc

It may not clear from the photo but the cable has a lovely woven textile finish that’s really pleasing to touch (maybe not critical for a speaker cable but everything helps 🙂 )

    Nice little cable
We have used this cable to connect my daughters iPad to a pair of non-Bluetooth over-ear headphones (mainly for use in the car) and for this purpose it works very well. The output is stable with really good audio quality. This is far better than the previous solution which was an aux-aux cable with USB-C adapter.

The cable is lightweight with a braided exterior which is good for durability. We have no need to use cable as an input device so not an issue for us that it can’t be used in that way. Overall highly recommended.

Excellent solution with a perfectly adequate D.A.C. for audio data conversion.
I’m continually amazed at how good these little converters are. The sound quality is very good, and to think there is a little converter in there or ‘DAC’ converting the digital music data into analogue to drive your wired analogue headphones.
It is a much neater solution than a separate dongle that can also go straight into a stereo audio 3.5mm input , or headphones that support it.
I tested with my Bang & Olufsen H7 and was happily surprised at the quality. Stereo field was good and no weird artefacts. The cable has a fabric woven shell that won’t knot easily and is certainly durable enough for the price point.
    Highly recommended.

High quality, durable FABRIC ROPE cable...
This is a fabric cord cable (as opposed to the usual plastic-covered ones) so I think it’ll be more resilient when it comes to bending and twisting associated with everyday use. The ends look durable too with a sleek, high quality finish and the cable functions exactly as expected, no issues.

Good length cable to get audio out of my iPad Air 4th Ge
Nice braided cable to get audio out of my iPad Air 4th Gen (or any device with USB-C Port) and into any speakers/monitors system. Great when you want better audio when listening to music, podcasts or watching movies on your iPad (or another tablet)

1.5m length works well for me.

    Very lightweigh
The VAKS USB C to 3.5mm Audio is a well made lightweight cable and while the outer is braided it is quite thin. Both the USC and 3.5mm audio jack are also lightweight, though they are housed in metal outers.

During use, outputting the audio from a tablet to the AUX port of Bluetooth headphones (to avoid using Bluetooth when not needed), the cable works fine. Audio is clear and the quality is on par with that I get using the same headphones using Bluetooth.

Please be aware that the VAKS USB C to 3.5mm Audio Aux Jack Cable is a one-way audio cable, by this I mean the USB C plug needs to be connected to the device emitting the audio (so phone, tablet, laptop, that sort of thing) and the 3.5mm jack needs to be plugged into the speaker, soundbar etc. If you’re looking to a cable to connect from the 3.5mm audio output of a device to the USB C port in a set of headphones, this cable won’t work.

    Works as expected
Great cable, it arrived fast and worked as I expected it to. This is really useful as most modern smart phones no longer have the AUX capability built in and need an adapter such as this to be able to use a traditional AUX cable/output. Great to have around the house.

    High-quality cable!
I’ve been using this cable with my OnePlus 9 Pro so I could listen to my favourite Sennheiser HD650 headphones. It’s a good-quality cable providing great-quality audio. My HD650 headphones sound surprisingly good using this cable directly without using a portable amp.

    Highly recommended!

    Sounds good
This 1.5m braided cable with a USB C plug (comes with a plastic cap protector fitted) at one end & a 3.5mm plug at the other, comes in a small zip lock packet with the cable wound and tied by two plastic coated wire cable ties.

I connected my Android phone up to the 3.5mm socket on a pair of wired speakers and used a music streaming software to play a selection of music. The sound seems to be perfectly fine. I couldn’t hear any hissing or anything else untoward with the sound quality.

    A good USB-C to 3.5mm aux adapter.
The majority of phones nowadays are moving away from the standard 3.5mm jack towards USB-C, so I needed something to continue playing music in my car from my phone to my stereo.

It’s plug and play, so I was able to connect my phone to my stereo in a matter of seconds and it worked immediately.

So far, it’s done the job as expected with a clear sound and no breaks in the signal.

The cable itself is braided and feels durable and well made, so I’m hoping it lasts a while. It’s also a decent length at 150cm.

All in all, it’s a good USB-C to 3.5mm aux adapter for the price at 8.95, which was the cost at time of writing.

I hope you found this review helpful.

    High quality
As electronics cables/cords go, this one is very nice. Soft, braided length is very flexible without crimping, and the two ends are securely embedded in the cord – no worries that this will separate with repeated use.

Definitely worth the price, I would purchase again.
