So far so good! It’s been about a month and it has adjusted to me and my husband well. It can distinguish clearly between both of us. You will need to download the app separately and sign up separately. It also wished my husband happy birthday

I am very happy with the product which seems to be an upgrade on a previous unit I owned. Once connected to the apple health app, I have found this to be a useful tool for monitoring my weight and other measures of health. The unit itself is of good build, and the measurements are consistently replicated if you step on and off, something that isn’t true for the cheaper one I had previously.

The readings are reasonably reliable and fluctuate only by up to 100g or so. The body fat percentage feature is useful. Newer models will also tell you how much visceral fat you have, so it may be a good idea to try them.

Scales were easy to setup, simple instructions, linked to the home WiFi and ready to use. Reading the on-screen display is easy and the system of pointers to ensure even distribution of weight works well. The weight has a +/- compared to the previous day and a trend chart with the last couple of weeks.

Withings App was OK but I linked quickly to my Garmin where all other activity data gets tracked (cycling, swimming and steps) that was also straightforward and now synchronises regularly.

Up and running for a few weeks – no problems at all

Records great insightful data that will motivate you to achieve your goals. Easy to set up. Links to the app on your phone and provides useful insights and measurements over and above normal scales

Like these scales they seem to give you a lot of information and it has been really handy to see progress in our fitness journey. However unless I have my phone right by the scales it doesnt seem to record the data which is a bit annoying.
It also duplicates steps from my fitness watch so I have turned that tracking off.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis set of scales, paired with the Withings mobile app has done a great job of allowing me to monitor my weight over time, in such a hands off and easy way. It allows me to weigh myself daily after my morning shower, without really having to even think about what the scale is saying as it seemlessly stores that information within the app, which sync’s with Apple Health straight away.

This means over time, I’m able to look back at my historic health data, such as heart rate, weight and various other metrics I track and use them when I need it. Such as during discussions with Doctors, improving my fitness levels, or just trying to keep an eye on my general health. The app allows you easily export a full report of the metrics it has available to you nice and easily. I’m not too keen on the app promoting Withings products on various screens to fill the gaps, especially when I own various other devices that do the job they’re advertising that product will fill, but they’re not invasive and typically found at the bottom of various screens so not that big of a deal really.

The set up of the product could have been a bit easier in my opinion as it took a bit of going in and out of settings to get everything set up properly. But once it’s done, it’s a set and forget experience which I love.

The packaging materials are fantastic, and the build quality is great, it really drives home the feeling that you’ve bought something premium that will stand up to the test of time.

Their various other slightly more expensive models will do a few other tricks, such as body composition, heart rate, age metrics etc. If that’s something you want your scales to track for you, I’d suggest you take a look, but for me, the primary goal was weight and body fat percentage, so stuck with the Body+.

Use every morning to track my gains (losses)
The weight measurement seems very accurate and repeatable. Can’t really vouch for the fat/muscle/water/bone measurements. However, as per instructions, measure just once a day at the same time and the trends seem to be reflect the reality of what I can see happening in the mirror.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThe scale itself is smart and well built its functionality would be great if it worked.

Forums are full of messages with same issue.

I set scale up to work with everyone in household in the middle of November. Everything was fine until just after Xmas. Weights stopped syncing to App.

I’ve spent three hours on to support who though all helpful and polite couldn’t resolve issue.

Working in IT myself I have logically step by step gone through all permutations but ultimately after adding third user the syncing stops working.

I’ve even gone gone as far as deleting all accounts. Setting up new ones with different email addresses but as soon as I add third user it stops syncing.

I’ve checked all account for any unassociated weights which Withings suggest is the issue. There are none.

I’ve tried setting up scale using another account as the primary account and again as soon as I add a third account the syncing stops.

I’ve now emailed support who quoted 24hrs to respond that is over four days ago and I’ve heard nothing.

So I may be forced to attempt a return on scales.

So great scales let down by integration.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy only gripe with this piece of bathroom tech is that it won’t work unless and until you connect it to the App.

I have no problem with there being an App. I just don’t want to be dragooned into using it, whether I want to or not.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersFinding these great to use. Set up was a bit of a faff but that was more down to me being a typical man and not reading the instructions but there are some good Youtube videos. Both me and my wife use it, it has separate profiles set up for each of us and having gone through setting it up once for me, doing it a second time for my wife was a doddle – definitely should’ve read the instructions the first time haha.

You do really need the app to get it set up and ideally hook it up to your wifi too. Without using the app it’s effectively just a set of digital scales that’ll show your weight and you may as well save your money and get one of the sub 20 ones if you just want to do that.

Whilst I’m not sure of the actual accuracy of the bone, muscle, fat and water content readouts those in the know have said that it’s within 3% of medical grade measuring equipment for those things so I think for home use that’s good enough.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI bought these to integrate with Apple health, and to replace some fitbit scales I’ve had for a few years that unfortunately can’t be directly linked to Apple health. Setup was a bit painful – the scales wouldn’t connect to my Unifi Wi-Fi, going round in circles a few times. App setup was also a bit finicky but I had them working in about 15 mins. If you’re sharing in a family and those people also have their own Apple health accounts you need to send them an invite and they need to set up their own Withings accounts. The other “family” option is really of no use . Now they’re working I’m happy with them. The weight graph is really helpful, and the he screen is clear – though maybe a little smaller than ideal

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersSet up and use are relatively easy and battery life is very good.
Using the app to track weight is easy.

On Accuracy, I’m happy with the weight. I do see variations between carpet and hard floor, so using the same spot will ensure consistency for the trend analysis.
Other measures are questionable. The Fat and muscle numbers fluctuate too widely in daily measures to give much confidence that it is an accurate measurement.

I’m not sure how it differentiates between users. I’m often asked whether it’s me or my wife on the scales and there is at least 7 Kg difference.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSetting up these scales was a bit frustrating at first, mainly because I was tyring to pair them to my phone, which is 6 years old, so the bluetooth was a much older version so the pairing would never quite finish. (So if you have pairing issues, check the device your trying to pair it to).

In the end (and 30 min later) I had sucessfully paired it to my new tablet on the first try and I set about weighting myself about 4 times in a row to get an idea of any variances. These scales shows fluctuations into the 0.1lb (which I think is extreme really) though any variances I saw was literally to this decimal.

Weighting myself once a week, the scales show you by little arrows that flash on the corners of the screen if you are putting too much weight on the back or front of your feet which does shift the weight by >1lb.

The app could be designed better, though its easy enough to find our way around and it shows you via a graph your progress with each wight in. At the bottom of the front page is tells you your current trend, whether you are stable etc.

At full price of 80 I find this to be more than I am willing to pay, though I did purchase this during Black Friday for about 60.

I bought this to replace a Withings WS30 that we had since 2014 but suddenly stopped working. In terms of functionality, this new scale offers much more information, but whether we will actually ever use bone mass or water mass is not certain!

It looks good, is easy to operate and understand, and easy to wipe clean. I have linked the data it produces into MyFitnessPal, so I don’t need to update that manually each time (I also use Walkmeter in the same way).

I like the way it allows different family members to use it and it automatically recognises who’s who. The iphone app is quite usable if simplistic. I haven’t found a way to export data into a text or csv file, which would be helpful for use in a spreadsheet.

As for accuracy, who knows? I don’t have anything to judge it against, but I have no reason to doubt it – and besides, all I want to see is a decreasing value in the graph – I don’t care if it’s a pound or two out.

One thing I have noticed is that it seems more sensitive than the WS30 to the weighee (?!) not being properly positioned on the scale. It sometimes takes a little big longer for it to lock. Not a showstopper by any means and perhaps it means the result is more accurate.

All in all, I recommend these scales, especially if you’re embarking on a weight loss plan and need something to automatically log your readings.

Golden Review Award: 74 From Our UsersAfter many years of losing half a stone then plateauing and losing interest then reverting back to laying on the sofa eating doritos just to see the weight pile back on seemingly overnight, After some persuading by family I decided to make a good push to lose weight in the new year – signed up to a gym which I goto a couple of times a week (I know, I should go more) and just reduced how much bread and general junk food I eat, I still eat the occasional packet of crisps etc but I don’t binge on a sharing bag of doritos every night – my biggest change is probably staying away from chocolate, I often ate multiple chocolate bars in a sitting (one is just too small for a fully grown man!) but I now realise that isn’t normal behaviour & that has probably been the hardest thing for me to change – but overall nothing too dramatic/life changing really & at the same time I decided to treat myself to these shiney new wifi scales as my previous smart scales were a good 10 years old and offered questionable accuracy.

As per usual, I lost about half a stone and hit the plateau but after checking the app I could see my muscle mass was increasing, as was my water, fat had reduced – weight stayed the same… this went on for a good few weeks, I’d of certainly long given up under normal conditions then the weight started dropping again – now since January I’ve lost over 2 stone (from 18.12>16.8) and its still gradually coming off & its actually staying off despite the occasional pig out session at Family BBQ’s etc

I’ve had Bluetooth scales in the past, but the moment they can’t link to your phone or have some sync issue of some sort that connections broken and realistically you’ll never ‘fix’ it and its just clunky, but these being WiFi scales the moment you stand on them they upload the data to the cloud which can then be accessed online / on app with just your login details – never any worries about syncing or opening your phone app to update it etc

The Accuracy on these scales is pretty good, I’ve certainly had a few phantom results for sure but overall the timelines and statistics it provides are accurate enough plus you can easily remove any phantom results with a swipe on the app if you want to keep things tidy.

It’s a simple thing, not cheap but in the grand scheme of things it was 90 & I can honestly say I wouldn’t have lost 2st+ (and continuing) without them.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersPurchased for my husband who loves gadgets and weighs himself daily. After about 4 months of using them he changed his eating habits and lost 2 stones over about 3 months. Having the visual track of his slow but steady weight loss was very motivating, plus he enjoyed seeing his body fat % steadily going down too. I’m sure the scales were a big factor in his motivation and gave him the feedback he was on the right track. He loves looking at the graph of his weight loss!

It took him a while to set them up with the App but once that was done they are super easy to use. We are both users and at one point we weighed a very similar amount but if you lean over slightly to one side it will identify which person is on the scales very swiftly (ie I have to lean to the right, he leaned to the left).

If you are curious about his diet – He didn’t follow any prescribed diet, He cut out bread, occasional treats and lunch. He found if he ate fruit and yoghurt (not natural low fat yoghurt but one of the tastier thicker varieties) for breakfast and a Miso Soup for lunch (only 44 cals but he found it satisfied his needs – Itsu brand that is a paste and very tasty apparently) he then ate a healthy meal (mix of carbs, veg and protein – spaghetti bolognese with veg/salad or similar but not calorie counted) he didn’t go too hungry and it suited him. He had 2 x Americano coffees daily with milk and sugar (first thing and about 11am usually).

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersFirst I got this in the Cyber Monday Sale. I have to admit it is an excellent scale that myself and my partner love. Takes a teensy weensy bit of effort to set up but once done works flawlessly. Compared it to my own old trusty Tanita Body Composition scale and the two were very very close, which was reassuring. The app is nice, stepping on the scale updates app within seconds. The graphs are excellent. You can customise the scale to show you only the stats you are interested in. The weather option isn’t as gimmicky as you would first believe especially if you do outdoor training. On top of the ability to differentiate between similar weighing users in a fun way (fun to me, you lean one way or the other; twins anyone!) and have the app track steps from your phone which you can then see on your scale the next day. You have a well rounded scale that many casual and hardcore users will appreciate.

So why a star lost… Well my old Tanita did a number of things that the much newer Nokia doesn’t. Such as Visceral fat, metabolic age, body shape and Basal Metabolic Rate. Though these stats were not going to be very accurate they could be relied on to give you a general trend which was motivating. Since these can be calculated from the way muscle mass and water are measured this doesn’t seem like a huge stretch to include especially when in the app you can switch off which stats you want to see. C’est la vie.

To summarise well worth your consideration, especially if you can get it on a deal.
