Incredible fast speeds, long cable. Exactly what I wanted!
I am more than happy to write a 5-star review for the ZYBER Link Cable. This cable is an essential accessory for anyone who owns an Oculus Quest 2 or PICO 4 VR headset. The 5M/16 FT length is perfect for giving you the freedom to move around while you’re in VR, without feeling tethered to your PC.
The high-speed USB 3.0 to USB C connection ensures that the signal remains stable and fast, even when you’re playing graphically demanding games or watching high-resolution videos. The black color of the cable blends in with most setups and doesn’t stand out.
One of the best things about this cable is its compatibility with the Meta Quest Pro 2/1 gaming PC, which makes it an ideal choice for anyone who wants to take their VR experience to the next level. The build quality is solid, and it has held up well over time. The cable is also very flexible, which makes it easy to store and transport.
Overall, I highly recommend the ZYBER Link Cable for anyone who wants to experience the full potential of their VR headset. It is an affordable and reliable cable that will give you the best VR experience possible.
Great value link cable
This link cable utilises a USB 3.0 port which provides high-speed data transmission, and a Broadband transmission rate of up to 2.5Gbps.
It has a length of 16 ft that works as a link cable for PICO 4 with fast and stable performance, while also connecting oculus quest 2 to a gaming PC. Also, it is equipped with a tinplate casing and an oxidized aluminium alloy shell. Its humanized 90-degree plug with trapezoid head design provides easier plug-in and out, with no interference for the earphone port.
I would say that it is designed thoughtfully, with its robust and good quality. It includes a smooth outer jacket, which is ideal if you’ll be moving about a lot while wearing a VR headset. Some reviewers claim that the cable would be more robust if it had a braided outer cover. This may be true, however, I have a braided wire that grips my clothing as I move my head, thus restricting my movement. There are no such issues with this smooth cable, so quite satisfied with that.
Overall, this is a decent link cable and works well and fast. Also, 29.99 is a reasonable price.
Good quest 2 link cable
Got this since my old link cable was getting knackered and this has been quite good, the transfer rate is good and since it is a dedicated product the quality is good. Not much else to say about the product, you get a good amount of length so you can distance yourself from your setup.
Good price
5/5
Works grea
This is brilliant. Works great with my sons VR. Really good length. Highly recommend.
Good length cable
My games room isn’t very big, so no worries with this cable not being long enough.
It is a normal USB A to C data cable, so isn’t restricted for use with my quest, and can be used for other devices that use this type of cable.
It isn’t braided, but feels well made.
Pretty good cable, but could be a touch cheaper given the competition with similar cables.
Used this as an alternative charging cord for PS5 controller and it works fine
Used this as an alternative charging cord for PS5 controllers, and it worked well to fully charge the controller. While I am aware that this is not its intended usage, it functions perfectly, and I can’t really gripe about it because it meets my needs. Being able to plug it in and use it while charging is fantastic because the cable is 15 metres long. The 90-degree USB C connector is a fantastic feature since it keeps the cords out of the way so you can use the controllers without being bothered by them.
good quality
A must-have for those who want to connect their VR headset to their computer for gaming. This cable is super fast and easy to use. We use our cable for PC gaming and it works great!
If you’re looking for a cable that is durable and high-quality, this is the one for you. The cable is braided, making it durable and tangle-proof. It’s also a good length and the connectors are robust. This is a cable that will last a long time and be worth the price.
ZYBER is a must-have for any VR gamer. I love this cable because it is a high-speed cable that is durable and affordable. I keep this cable on hand so that I can be ready for the next VR session. My favorite part is that the cable is compatible with both my Oculus Quest 2 and my Pico 4. I don’t have to worry about compatibility issues. This is also a great cable for other accessories that connect to your PC.
Ideal for quest 2
Good sturdy data cable for the quest 2. Nice long length. Works as advertised. Cannot comment on price as it’s currently unavailable.
Very good quality and works as it should.
The cable is well made and feels sturdy. Slightly stiff at first as expected but softens with use. I love the green LED that lights up when connected because it tells me so. The ends slot in and out easily and they don’t wiggle in the ports. The 90degree angle is excellent at protecting both the cable and port and it just makes it easier to use. Good quality at a good price that I’d be happy to recommend.
Perfect for the Quest 2!
The Oculus (Meta) Quest 2 is a great piece of kit. Full VR in a wireless package. Though wireless comes at the cost of lower graphical quality and you’re limited to oculus store games.
Cue Oculus Link and the cable. Oculus’s own cables are ridiculously expensive, 90 at the time of writing! For a glorified USB-C cable!
In comes Zyber with this little belter. Fraction on the cost but works flawlessly. See pics attached of the bandwidth I was getting through the wired connection. Absolutely no problems at all testing out Beat Saber, Half Life Alyx, Bonelabs. It’s spot on.
I love the traditional rubber cabling here, gives it much more flexibility compared to braided. Time will tell if it lasts as long though.
No complaints here, works perfectly with the quest and at a much cheaper price point than oculus’s own cable. 5*!
Great!
It is extremely long, which definitely helps when you’re trying to play VR games that reuiqre you to stand up and move your body around, even walking around wouldn’t have bee nteh biggest probelm at all. Yes, this is being advertised as something that you’re supposed to use just for the oculus quest and a few other VR headsets, but since it is a USB A to USB C you can realistically just use it to charge your phone, or any of the other uses that you would use a normal USD A to C cable for, except it is much longer, coming in at 5m/16ft.
1st time VR very impressed
I’m not new to USB-C cables, but this is the first time I’ve used one for a VR headset my son brought himself a Pico 4 with his saved up Xmas/Birthday money and while the onboard marketplace is improving all the time PCVR was a requirement of his and as many will know in the UK with older homes Wi-Fi isn’t something you can rely on for speed or stability unless your in the same room as the router, so a cable is a must.
The cable feels great it’s not plasticy and brittle neither is it braided like pretty much all cables nowadays, but that’s not a bad thing, with a length of 5m/16ft this is great for playing in the middle of the room away from anything breakable which is very nice, we may need to pick up a smaller version for other VR experiences that require you to be stationary like driving sims.
The performance has so far been great, it performs just as we expected taking into account our current graphics card(RX 580 series) possibly just within the recommend specs, but it is by no means a bad experience the titles we have tried look good and responsive with no stuttering so far.
There are possibly better cables out there, but I don’t see any reason for us to change cables apart from if we find one that charges and data transfers at the same time but for a 1st time VR user this more than does the job.
Tested on multiple games, maybe a small flaw.
I cannot add photos to this as the cable is long and my flat is small but it is a long enough cable to be able to move about with, without any problems. I did stand on some of the cable on the floor on a few occasions, no damage to it whatsoever, keep in my I had no footware on though. Due to this, I would say it is very durable. It also did not curl up so did not trip over it, so that’s a plus too.
It connects easily, no problems, and the connections stay in place, no falling out with movement and it is not loose.
I did have a possible little problem however I have not taken a star off because my PC possibly could have been updating something, or security running a scan, at the time. At some points, not often, I would get a hitch, like the information did not transfer from the PC to the headset in time. I moved my head but the image froze for a second before, what seemed like, quickly fast forwarding to the point it should currently be at. As I say though, that could have been my PC updating, not the cable, cannot say for certain so it keeps the 5 stars. It did not do this often though, maybe once every 2 or 3 play sessions.
I have had this cable for a month and a half now, still works as well as it did the first time using it so no degradation. The reason this review took so long was because some products I have bought stopped working a month later, so I wanted to be sure. Also, I wanted to test it for 2 hours on all the VR games I own, keeping in mind that is how long I can last before feeling sick, and it worked perfectly well on the fast games, such as beat saber, just as it did on the slower ones, walking dead.
I do recommend this product if you are looking for a long, fast and reliable cable for VR. If the hitches were not my PC and you get them you could return it. I do think it was my PC though otherwise I think it would happen more often.
Good, slightly stiff, VR data cable.
This cable is specifically intended to be used for transmitting data between a PC / console and a VR Headset. It’s not a charging cable and the right-angle connection on the end makes it inconvenient for most other purposes.
I mention this because several reviews don’t. Some of them quote complete nonsense and one of them has cut-and-pasted part of their review from a specialist cablestore website. It’s almost as if they never actually used the cable…
Having said all that, it’s essentially just a 5m USB A to C cable with a right-angled end connection. At 5 meters, this cable is pushing the limits for USB 2 or USB 3. I’ve not had any issues with it so far, though, and it’s long enough to reach anywhere in my small office / gaming room / mancave.
The cable is quite stiff and slightly heavy. Most of my gaming time is spent on driving and flight simulators, so the weight and flexibility of the cable isn’t really an issue – I’m sitting down. If anything, it’s a positive thing, because the cables trail across the room from the PC next to my desk over to the sim rig, and I have a tendency to run them over with my office chair. This is a nice, robust cable.
It has a smooth outer jacket, which is a very good thing if you are moving about a lot – as you will with a VR headset. Some of the reviews suggest that the cable would be more durable if it had a braided outer cover. This is possibly true, but I can say that my gaming headset has a braided cable and its immensely annoying as the cable ‘grips’ my clothing when I turn my head, and restricts my movement. No such issues with this, smooth cable.
Whether or not your VR headset will charge up while you play seems to depend on your PC’s USB sockets. Although this is nominally a data cable, it definitely does carry a charging current. Just to make the point, I charged my earbuds, and also my Xbox controller with this cable. While it was plugged in, I did use the Xbox controller with my PC just to prove I could, although the right-angled connection gets in the way of the trigger on one side. It’s not intended for connecting a gaming controller.
Overall, a decent cable and far cheaper than the official one.
Less prone to cable snag and allows more freedom of movement.
The outer coating on this cable seems to knot less than another one I have for the same purpose. It’s smoother and has less friction so it tends to snag or tangle less. It’s a little more rigid though and needs to be coiled (when not in use) in a wider coil.
It comes with a hook-and-loop band to attach to your VR headset, which helps reduce strain on the USB-C socket. Use it, it helps. Nobody wants to damage the headset for the sake of it.
Oculus works fine with it too and although the room were my gaming machine is is only small, the 5m length means I get a lot more freedom to route the cable where I want it.
Good cable
Good cable that works as it should. Long enough but doesn’t get in the way of game play. Connects great and good price too.
Fantastic for the oculus ques
This cable is 5 meters in length so it is perfect for the oculus quest as it gives you room to move around and play.
The cable is long and durable so I have no worries about moving around with the headset on. It has the freedom to move around without getting caught.
The wire fits into the oculus perfectly and keeps it charged whilst playing.
Simple and well made
First impressions of this cable are that it feels like most of the first party cables I have used for VR in the past, and that’s definitely a good thing. The cable is relatively thin and light, so it doesn’t get in the way of the gameplay experience more than is necessary, and the angled USBC connector is strong and well designed.
Lots of cables around for VR headsets these days, but I really like this one. It’s simple and well made.
Quest 2 Cable - 5M
5m long compatible charging cable for the Oculus Quest Link 2. This cable is finished with the L shape usb c fitting which allow sand gives you maximum movement with the headset while plugged in. It’s a nice strong cable which charges and work well and should also be long lasting. It arrived smartly packaged which could make a perfect gift to the right person and overall I’m very pleased. No issues when in use and I would buy again 🙂
It works!
There you go, I don’t need to write much as my title says it all, it works as advertised, very well made, good connection between headset and PC, super long at 5m and is reasonably priced.
However, as I have some time on my hands I’ll talk a bit more about the cable, grab yourself a tea or coffee, some cake, maybe a biscuit or two, I’d opt for a biscuit as you won’t be reading for that long….
Packaging and delivery
This cable comes supplied in a plastic zip-lock bag, cable is coiled and held together with a velcro cable tie.
Package contents
1 x 5m cable
1 x Velcro cable tie
Function and quality
This is actually a very good cable, I prefer my Oculus cables to have some flexibility which this cable has due to the TPU outer sheath, otherwise none as Thermoplastic Polyurethane, lets call it plastic. This is a thick sheath which will protect the structural integrity of the inner finer cables, even though this plastic covering offers more flexibility when compared to the nylon braided cables, the slight downside is that it can get damaged more too easily.
The plugs at both ends have an aluminium alloy casing, they seem strong and offer 0.8cm of cable support as this cable enters the plugs, this is via a moulded in hard plastic casing.
Connection to both headset and PC is firm and solid, I suppose those two words mean the same but you get what I mean. I’ve had no issues with signal loss or data connection and the plugs have remained in the sockets even with a lot of movement.
Conclusion
A nice cable which works very well and also has others uses.
I hope you enjoyed your cup of tea and biscuit, or did you push the boat out and go for the slice of cake?
Works grea
Great 5m USB cable for meta quest.
Works great for playing while charging or for tethering to your pc to play pcvr games on steam etc.
Well made cable but the competition is hard for these types.
Firstly the build quality is more than adequate. I do prefer a nylon weave outer , but the material here is springy rather than grippy so should prevent tangles in your long cable.
While the quality is above average, at this price point I have used better, however you’ll not be disappointed at all.
Durability is one of the most important things for a cable that is going to see a lot of movement, and the strain relief and moulding is excellent, should last quite some time.
This is a great cable for the money , but the competition is strong and I have seen better, which is testament to how well these cables are produced.
Whilst I don’t have an oculus , I did test it with a long run across a room to a professional audio interface , and it worked without issue.
I can easily recommend it especially if you are worried about tangles. Good stuff.
Oculus Quest 2 cable
A nice, well-made cable that looks like it will withstand the rigours of vr gaming. Also useful to keep the headset charging when playing standalone by plugging into a USB charger. I would strongly recommend using one of the Velcro cable ties that comes with the cable to secure the cable to the strap of the headset to relieve strain on the USB socket. There are many reports of the socket failing with rough use. I can also confirm that the cable works well with the Pico 4.
Easy to use and doesn’t hinder game play.
This link and charging cable for my Quest seems like decent quality.
It’s a little thicker and as such feels a little stiffer but fits snugly with the 90 degree port.
I do not feel like my movement is in any way affected and it’s great to have increased playing time.
The game responds well and seems very stable and smooth, and it’s easy to forget you are connected.
I’m very happy with it. It’s a solid build that allows you the space to move.
It’s great value for money in my opinion.
I hope you find my review helpful.
Good power cable.
I’ve been using it to charge my iPad Pro 2018 as I like to lay on the sofa while I’ve got it plugged in, the 5m cable offered a generous amount of slack while on charge that you don’t feel tied to the well like with shorter chargers. It’s been great so far and does the job perfectly.
Brilliant size
Brilliant size cable for my VR and worked just as advertised! Cable is very durable and high quality! Worked very well and the length is perfect for gaming
Very pleased
Great Quality cable for Quest 2
This 5m cable works really well with my Quest 2. It looks and feels well made, with decent quality connectors. So far it has performed well for me, I have no complaints. Recommended
Great quality cable !
Very high quality cable.
Nice thick flexible cable with a good sturdy coating to protect it from the “action” it will be put through.
Connectors are solid, and very well constructed.
No issues with connection.
Would recommend
Good length, good price, works well
This seems like a pretty good link/charging cable that’s compatible with the Oculus Quest 2 and among other things, extends your playtime if you don’t mind being plugged in while you play.
The 90 degree angle charger works well for plugging into the Oculus, though I’m wary since we had to replace our last cable (a different brand) when the 90 degree charger snapped off. That seems to be the weak point in this design, so I’ll be watching this one more carefully.
Overall, I think you probably can’t complain about what you get for the price, which is very competitive, for a 5m cable that should be more than long enough for any normal situation.
just perfec
great lead, decent quality, fits into the occulus nicely, good lengh cable no stretching. does what it intended too do
Better than standard cables - long length - solid quality.
I got this as a replacement cable for the oculus rift and it is a much needed upgrade. Quality of the cable is solid with high quality connectors and overall feels nice a solid. I think it is a bit heavier than other cables, but to be honest I don’t notice when playing.
At the time of writing the cable costs 20 which is cheaper than what I paid for my old cable. The length is much better with more freedom of movement and the right angle connector to the headset is far more solid than a forward facing connector.
Works at much faster speeds with better quality graphics for rift games off a pc. Overall an excellent product.
Works With My Oculus 2
The ZYBER Link Cable 5M/16 FT for Oculus VR headset comes in brown none branded box. The cable works with my Oculus 2 no issue. The cable seems good quality as it is tough and thick but will allow for movement. It is a little thicker than a standard cable.
The data rate is not exactly what it promises, but it does work. The 3.0/3.1 specification does not specify a maximum cable length between USB 3.0/3.1 devices (SuperSpeed or SuperSpeed+), but there is a recommended length of 3 meters (or about 9 feet and 10 inches).
The notes state that you must be on firmware 1.43.0.324299 for the cable to function as designed. I do like the length of the cable as I can use it from my bed on the other side of the room.
The USB connector are nickel plate with gold pins. However, one down side is that it offers no warranty on the box, or in packaging with the cable.
Overall this is a good cable and I give it 4 stars.
Matchy matchy usb to USBC cable
Working performance white cable ,good quality materials and make ,5m long with no performance issues. Can recommend.
Brilliant - very happy.
We love this cable; it allows us to use oculus link so we can play PC games on our quest 2. This cable has great flexibility and is lightweight. It features a handy led light on the USB C connector that goes into the quest 2 to show the cable is receiving power. Works superbly and is nice and long allowing us to move about freely. Very happy.
Plenty long enough
A very long measuring at 5 meters link cable for the oculus which is strong and also comes with 2 velcro straps to keep it secure in the headset it can link with pc and be used for vr streaming or steam and normally these cables cost more than 19.99 so yea deffinately a bargain and i highly recommend
slightly heavy but...
It works a treat on V.R, its also very long and so can be used across the room.
Strong cable
This cable is for any VR headsets that needed plugged to charge but still use it while on a VR experience. With 16ft, you’ll have plenty of room to move around. The cable is the same as any power cord like an extension socket or the TV power cable. It feels thick and durable so bending this isn’t going to Dave the wires on the inside.
😁👍High Quality Zyber Link Cable 😁👍
The cable is high quality made and durable has a very generous amount of cable easy to connect the oculus headset to your computer I really like the design of the cable very stylish
It’s definitely value for money and i highly recommend
Cables come with handy dust caps👍
ZYBER 5M/16 FT Link Cable for Oculus Quest 2.
High-Speed USB 3.0 to USB C Cable for PC VR and Steam also compatible with the PICO 4 VR Headset.
Good long cable, for Quest or otherwise
Got this for when we eventually order our Oculus, its on the Christmas list but hoping there will be some sales come Black Friday or once the new ‘Pro’ version drops…
With that in mind, we’ve only been able to look at this and try it without the main part so this review, at least for now is simply an opinion on the look and feel of the item.
Of course, you don’t really need a Quest to test this out, its essentially just a really long USB cable that seems well constructed and the right-angled connector is suitable for lots of different devices to help take some of that strain away from the cable end.
Great long cable, gives you good level of movement while being connected
Cable looks nice and in keeping with the oculus. The cable is quite thick but movement feels fine all things considered.
Just by the nature of it its more restricting than no cable if you’re used to using the quest as a standalone VR but you get used to it and its necessary if you want to play from your computer.
In terms of its performance, it has been flawless for me. Despite its long length I’ve noticed no performance issues. Its done what it’s meant to and its not something I even have to think about… Which is what I want from a cable.
Heavier than my current cable
This cable is a little bit heavier than my current cable. The data rate is not really matching its claims. However the price range is quite decent, not much can complain about it.
Does the job
This VR link cable does the job just fine and for a fraction of the cost of the official link cable. I love that the colour matches the Quest, seems like a small thing to care about but it’s nice when everything matches. Had no issues with connection, nice and long and feels decently built. Time will tell how long it lasts but so far I’m not concerned. 19.99 plus a 15% voucher is so much better value than the official one that is just a disgusting price.
Recommended.
Excellent quality and value for money. Instantly connects to devices and holds signal/communication well. Seems well made and set to last.
Used this with the quest 2 to play half life alyx for 3 hours last night. Spot on.
My wifi is spotty so unfortunatly airlink or virtual desktop are a no no for me. I have to use a cable. This is a nice alternative to the official cable and a hell of a lot cheaper. Its very well made and 5m is plenty. I used it last night with no issues for hours and the quality of the stream was top notch. Its not as good as the official cable, i have to be honest. However its also not 90… so save your money and get this one instead.
Well made
This is a well made cable, the connections fit well and secure, it’s long and should meet all your needs, 19.99 at the time of this review and in my opinion that a good price for this cable and I’d recommend i
Great Cable
Pefect cable and stong and long. very well made and will last. very happy with this.
