Does help if you remove hose fitting . Ideas of cutting holes to allow hose to fit are defeating the object . Hose plastic becomes hard and brittle in cold weather . Any water in pipe will freeze and split it . I shall leave this cover on all Winter . I will review again at that time .

The covers are pretty well made with good stitching and decent materials.

They are certainly shower proof but I’ve not had them out in prolonged bad weather yet to test how long this lasts for.

They are a good size being plenty big enough for a standard tap with hose adapters still fitted and are very easy to fit. It takes a few seconds to put on and do up the velcro and the same to take it off.

The insulation is fairly thin but I’m pretty sure they will cope with normal British winter weather but I haven’t been able to test this as it’s the wrong time of year. If you wanted to you could put both of them on to one tap as they are big enough to do this.

The high visibility strip might help stop people walking into them, personally I’d rather it didn’t have it but it’s not really a problem.

At 8 for two I think they are good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to fit and well made.

I’ve previously used the type of tap cover that looked like an upturned plant pot, made with polystyrene. It did the job but the plastic slider to hold it in place broke quite quickly.
This new one goes on like a mitten, then straps in place with Velcro.
Takes all of a second to put on & similarly quick to remove.
The outer nylon material is well waterproofed, running it under the tap saw the water sheet off like a freshly waxed car.
The insulation isn’t the thickest in the world, but will be enough to protect from frost. It’s a pack of two, I’ve only the one garden tap, so I’ll likely put one on, over the other for a double layer of protection.
The mitten is black, but has a high Viz/reflective band around it, so hopefully you won’t walk into it in the dark.

a good tap cover but we leave a hose attached and so had to cut the material to accommodate this
