Cheap and do the job

I don’t understand the relevance of “Remote Control” to this item.
But they are relatively cheap and appear to work as they should.
Good value but only four-year shelf life
Better price than any I have seen in shops for alkaline batteries of this type but the description does say a five-year shelf life and the ones I have just bought in March 2023 are dated 04-2027. Fewer items use this type of battery now, so it may not be sensible to but too many in advance.
They're batteries
You want them to do what they’re supposed to do – fit in a smoke alarm, and work for a good while. These batteries do that reasonably well, for the price. What else is there to say?

The Amazon basics batteries are a really good range. Not been disappointed with any of them yet. Good value for money.
Good for smoke alarms
How annoying when a smoke alarm starts beeping when the battery gets low. I always try to keep a few in the house. These seem fine for such a low power application and last as more expensive branded items

High quality alkaline batteries in line with named brands
I’ve now used a wide range of Amazon Basic batteries and can say for sure that these, while being nearly as cheap, are not the horrible batteries you find in pound shops and such places that are lucky if they last an hour. These are high quality and while maybe not as long lasting as they most expensive batteries out there, are certainly in line with some brand names standard versions, and for a fraction of the price while other batteries just get more pricey in the current economic market.
Long life PP3 batteries
I liked the colour of the batteries and the declared 5 year shelf life. I can’t comment on the mAh capacity or longevity. I’ve fitted one into my smoke alarm so ask me again in a couple of years if it is still working or not.

I had the urge to do a little “proper” cooking, and found the 9v battery in my kitchen scales had failed. Rather than nick the one out of our smoke alarm and risk forgetting to replace it, I thought I’d splash out on a pack of batteries.
The 5-year shelf life of these batteries isn’t the best, as some 9v batteries are rated with a 10-year shelf life, but a pack of 8 should do me for the next 5 years and the price per unit of the 10-year batteries was more than I was willing to pay.
Individually wrapped in plastic, they’re easy to store without risking shorting out the batteries and my kitchen scale now work as they should, so mission accomplished.

A 9 volt battery
When you need a 9 volt cell what are you going to do? Take a punt on Amazon basics. Needed to stop a beaky smoke alarm from beeping and these did the trick. Have many smoke alarms so buying in bulk makes sense.
OK, but like most 9v batteries, don't last very long
These batteries are as good as most others on the market, but I prefer to use rechargeables when I can as the lifetime of 9v batteries is not very long in most devices, and you tend to get your money’s worth from the rechargeable ones after just a few months, even including the cost of the charge

As Good as the More Expensive Brands
I nearly always bought branded batteries, if it was good enough for a pink bunny, then it was good enough for me!
I needed a lot of batteries over the Christmas period and bought the Amazon Basics branded AA batteries, they had a shelf life of about 10 years and I found that they lasted as well as the other brand, or at least they seemed to be within the ball park.
With my previous experience in mind I decided to do the same when my smoke alarm batteries ran out, and so far so good. Shelf life wise, these were slightly less, as the shelf life was around five years on the ones that I got. I would certainly by these, and other Amazon batteries again though.
Crazy Good Value 9 Volt batteries!!!!!!!
These batteries are simply great and much cheaper than buying those cheap 9v batteries sold in certain discount stores that simply don’t last at all.
Performance wise these batteries perform very well in my tens machine and they certainly last much longer than other budget brands.
With a total of 8 batteries in this pack, you’ll never find yourself rooting around the house for a 9v battery again. They really are a great bargain and highly recommended.

I bought an 8 pack of these 9v batteries to fit in smoke alarms in my house as well as my parent’s house.
The batteries fitted perfectly and having tested the smoke alarms each battery worked perfectly. I routinely test the smoke alarms and all still work perfectly after 9 months of use. I will probably change them after a year rather than wait for the smoke alarms to start chirping their low battery warning.
These Amazon batteries are excellent value, l see no point in paying so much more for branded versions particularly as these have proven themselves to be good quality.

Amazon’s own brand PP3 Alkaline batteries
Difficult to review batteries as it won’t be for a long time before I know how long they last.
Their life will depend on what they are fitted to, so it is impossible to say.
They do have a shelf life which is around 5 years, this is printed in extremely tiny print on the bottom rim of each battery. (It was also printed on the box label). This is about standard for Alkaline batteries.
They are quite heavy which indicates a good capacity battery, anyone buying cheap Chinese batteries will know that they weigh very little and don’t last very long.
It’s about the only way to estimate the quality and capacity without testing them (which would mean using them up and wasting them).
They were on offer at 7.49 for 8 Alkaline PP3’s, which is a bargain.
