I was advised to try this wax product by my physiotherapist as therapy for extremely stiff and painful hands following operations on both hands which are quite debilitating. I also have rheumatoid arthritis. This make of wax bath is the one she uses in her clinic. Once set up, it is easy to use although it does take a couple of hours to heat up and regulate the temperature . As described for a cosmetic use, it does make your hands feel very soft and smooth ready for a manicure. For my purpose, after use (I only keep it on each hand for about 5 to 10 minutes) , it has the instant effect of lessening the stiffness and relieving much of the pain , unfortunately, the relief only lasts for an hour or so but for even that short time , it still seems worthwhile. I would suggest using both blocks of wax at once because one block is not quite deep enough. If you are the only person using the bath then the wax you remove following a session can be reused unlike in a beauty salon or clinic where it has to be disposed of. Wax refills are easy to order.

Good sized, easy to use Paraffin Wax Bath which comes with 2 packs of beautifully scented paraffin wax and plastic envelopes. Needed to buy 2 extra packs of wax as the ones included only came up to the minimum level which doesn’t make it a cheap buy but certainly recommend it for arthritis in the hands and for softer skin. Intend to use it on my feet but not tried it ye

Easy to set up. Does take a while to melt the wax that comes with it though but other brands melt quicker (as the additional ones I bought are like pellets were the ones provided are solid blocks of wax). Does what expected. Fits hands easily & foot up to a UK size 5 maximum 6 I would say. Purchased for my daughter who has CRPS as part of her therapy. I have used it on occasion for tired feet & found it nice.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAs a treatment for stiff fingers I’ve used this nearly every night and can tell a small benefit so far.
It takes about 2 hours to melt And you need to buy another 2 blocks (use 3) which I think they know this but you need 3 or more to cover the hand and wrist.
It is very hot even when you’ve turned it down to cool and you have to keep dipping and extracting your hand numerous times to get wax on the hands to deal with leaving in a little longer.
    No patience gets burnt hands.
Put the supplied bags over for 20 mins and stay put.

I suffer with severe eczema and something called Pomphlyx which causes blisters and dry cracked skin all over your hand. During recovery period this paraffin bath really helped moisturise and soothe. Good construction and very professional performance. Shall be using it regularly to moisturise hands. I have a couple of arthritic finger joins – can’t say I noticed any benefit there, but overall a very nice experience

This is a sturdy item, well manufacture., The wax supplied is not suffiecet to fill the tank. It takes quite a time at the max setting, takes at least two hours, once melted, the tempuratuer dial is turned down and its a matter of trial and error to find the tempurature for the individual.
Dont put an uncovered had in the wax, its diificult to remove wax for hair on hand/arm.

Seems to help with arthritic fingers. So far so good!

It is cheaper than using a salon as long as you use the wax for your own use and read the instructions very carefully as it is very easy to burn yourself.
I got this for my arthritis in hands and feet, when used my hands and feet feel much better and the swelling goes down.
    very good home therapy.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersMy hands have been swollen and painful lately and I remembered having paraffin baths to relieve pain, so I purchased this one. The peach scented wax that comes with the bath smells very nice. The bath is easy to use and has clear instructions. I’m not sure it has helped my condition but it does feel nice to use it.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersI brought this product after reading reviews from other people. Having children my hands become painful ever so often at times they are so painful that they swell. Not only that I work as an administrator and my index finger hurts a lot because I use the keyboard and mouse a lot.
after purchasing the spa I have to say, each time I use it my hands become pain-free for some weeks.. it really is worth the price and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to give this to their mum .. it really is a brilliant produc

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThought this might help my arthritic hands. Feels lovely and comforting but alas I feel that my expectations were perhaps a bit too high. Don’t get me wrong it really feels great and definitely softens the ski

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGot this so that I don’t have to keep going to the physiotherapy department for treatment on my arthritic hands. It’s as good an affect as the one used by the NHS (all be it a lot smaller than the NHS one); it does take two hours to warm up, and you then have to turn it down and wait about 15 minutes before it’s cool enough to put your hands in; but other than that it’s great for the price (I paid 58.61).

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersI use the wax bath for my arthritic toes/feet. The instructions included with the bath make the process of use long and this tends to put you off using it. I switch on the bath (high) until the wax melts – test the wax for heat safety as instructed by the manufacturer. This usually takes about 1 hour. I use the ‘slipper’ (plastic bag) and when the wax is ready, soak my foot/feet (one at a time). Because I am the only person using the bath I withdraw my foot from the ‘slipper’ and leave the slipper in the bath, therefore, this prevents wax mess everywhere. I am a size 5 (feet) and my foot ‘just’ fits the bath from toe to heel. I like the bath as it does sooth the toes/feet.

Golden Review Award: 22 From Our UsersI bought this product as I broke my right wrist badly and my hand is taking a while to recover. My physio uses a large model to relax my muscles etc to work on my hand, but recommended that you could buy a similar wax bath more cheaply from the beauty therapy market. i wanted one large enough to get my whole hand and also some of my wrist in. I did have to buy additional wax to bring it from the min level to max level to get my whole hand in. It has taken some time to get the right temp – somewhere in the middle of “warm” but I am thrilled with it. Easy to use, large enough for my purposes and just as good as the more expensive therapist version. The wax smells lovely and I topped it up with a orange and cinnamon paraffin wax. Thank you.

Beautiful perfume when melted, perfect for soothing arthritic hands. A bit difficult to chop up, so a bit time-consuming, but worth it. Certainly warms hands beautifully.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our Usersgreat machine.
fits my size ladies 7 foot.
heats quickly and I found easier to heat at the temp I need it to be for use rather than on high and then to turn it down and wait for it to cool a bit.
starts to cool and set quickly.
neat cord storage under the unit.
as it is for personal use i peel off the used wax gloves/socks and lay them ontop of the solid wax to remelt for my next session.
my skin was very soft after my treatment.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersBought this for a friend who had an accident and was advised to use on her hand by Physio. She reports back to me that she is using the product and whilst you have to think in advance of using it as it takes a while to reach the correct temperature but she says the benefits to her hand is worth the wait.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersJust great for cold hands rheumatism and arthritis a must BUT after a few months it takes hours to melt so it’s disappointing as I put wax on at 9am still waiting for it to melt fully 4 hours later. Shame because it’s not cheap.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this to help with my wrist. My physiotherapist gave it a hot wax bath and I thought it would be good to do at home. I have to plan 3 hours ahead, but it’s worth it.

This was a present and the recipient is too polite to say if the product is rubbish, but she did say that the wax bath was very comforting.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersHave been considering buying this for a while since my physio suggested wax therapy. Takes approximately 2 hours to melt the supplied wax and an additional 1 hour for the wax to reach the required temperature for treatments. Comes with two 450g bags of orange wax (which smells lovely!). Decided to re-use the wax as I’m only dipping my injured hand and not using for any other use. Would definitely recommend.

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersVery happy with this bath and its a good price for what it offers. A little more expensive than some baths on the market but its worth paying for. A nice sleek design and the temperature control dial is great for keeping the wax warm once melted. Many baths I looked at have no temperature control …. just On or OFF. .A plus too is that it also fits my foot length which I hadn’t expected, so it wont just be used for my hands. It comes with a lovely delicate orange scented wax and polythene bags, so is ready to use immediately
