Surprisingly good
Dual hotplates a feature only found on much more expensive jobs. Heats up quickly.
Super price, quick delivery, works well. Be careful to allow space around air vent when cutting worktop.

This is a very fantastic electric hob it works fantastically well is very simple and easy to use easy to setup and it’s easy to actually find the dimensions in order to set up in any household or its portable wherever you want to take you can take it it’s very easy to use its very delicate so you have to be careful you drop it once it’s pretty much it it’s like a glass top layer but it does a fantastic job and it heats how ever hurt you really needed to heat is the tree for any pots and pans my personality problems with that so far start a fantastic job I personally believe it’s definitely worth the price and his sense of touch as well which is perfect and it works and it has worked great so far hasn’t caused any issues in that regard and I think the aesthetics are fantastic it looks amazing and I think it fits in any room any kitchen any place you’d have it just because it’s black and red and that really goes with everything.
Easy to setup and use
It is a single ring, which plugs into a standard UK 3pin socket.
If you already have the dimensions cut out it will slip in okay.
I have used it outside on a lovely sunny day, though definitely should not be used if any dampness in the air.
Make sure you don’t block it’s air vents when fitting or using.
Pity only a single ring, would have been better with 2, even two small rings, definitely has the room for two.
Great when needing an additional ring for those big cooking projects.
Touch controls work well, but you do need appropriate pots etc.
Lots of good features and very easy to install (3 pin plug). Very easy to operate.
Here are a few things that I liked about this hob. Installation is not complex as it comes with a 3-pin plug that seems perfectly capable of powering the single heated element of the hob. Secondly it’s lightweight so its easy to handle when installing or removing it, thirdly it heats up pretty quickly. The touch control buttons are easy to use with plus minus heat buttons, off/on button and a lock button.
Safety wise the heated element is set well back from the controls and from the front of the kitchen work surface.
With regard to ease of operation and safety features you get sound feedback from the device when you operate the buttons. I also consider this a useful safety feature when you get that feedback as you switch the hob off. The readout flashes a red ‘H’ after you switch the hob off. Please note that even after the H stops flashing the heated element is still quite hot, not so hot that a brief touch will cause harm but if you were to rest a hand on it for longer period it could.
The readout for the temperature is easy to see and overall I am impressed by the quality, design features and ease of use. Nothings complicated, nothings excessive. Clean lines and simple controls.
Space wise this is as deep any 4 hob unit but it is at least half as narrow.
Not for portable use, inbuilt only
Note this isn’t a portable hob, it needs setting into a surface by and installed/checked by an electrician. I’ve shown it working on a surface with an electrician present – he wanted to see it working before he went to the trouble of building it into a kitchen trolley.
This is a good quality ceramic hob designed to be built into a surface. This has 9 (from 0-9) heat levels which can be increased/decreased by pressing the plus or minus. The key lock can be used once you have the desired temperature and will prevent it being changed accidentally. The lock will then stay on until you press and hold the lock key to turn it off. H flashes on the display to alert you that the hob is hot, even after it’s turned off. This is a feature I really like as it doesn’t heat up as fast, or cool as quickly, as my portable ones. As you can see on the video, this takes a while to reach temperature and turn red so the H warning is needed. The H flashed for ages when it was cooling, something I’m not used to as my portable hobs cool quickly. Like all ceramic hobs it’s easy to clean.
I did order it thinking it was a portable hob but realised my mistake when I saw the back wasn’t encased. I didn’t want to lose any surface space so my electrician brother suggested building it into a kitchen trolley. That makes more sense in my kitchen and that way I can take it outside too. I can’t fit an electric hob in my home until our electrics are updated and I don’t like using the gas hob. This is why I have several portable ceramic hobs. My portable ones do heat quicker and have temperature settings rather than numbers like this. This takes a lot longer to heat up and I found I need this on a higher setting. However, this doesn’t get too hot too quick so it’s easier to manage. At 54.99 it’s reasonably priced, but I’d go for the larger hob if I was going to build a hob into a surface. However, if you have a large kitchen (with plenty of surface space) and wanted an extra ring this is an economical way to do it.
Love the black glass finish
This is a really nice looking Ceramic Hob. The black glass finish is beautiful. We’ve just had our kitchen renovated with a big gas range and I was looking for a smaller electric hob as a backup and as gas prices are getting crazy. It does say must be fitted by a qualified fitter. However there is a 13amp plug already fitted so the only thing required is cutting a suitable sized hole in your worktop and ensuring all clearance measurements are met, it’s a piece of cake. It’s easy to wipe clean and has a “H” indicator to tell you if it’s still hot. I like that it is suitable for all pans too.
Portable Hob
Nice extra addition to my kitchen and also whenever i go camping or if anyone else i know need an extra hob for outdoor use.
The design looks very clean and contemporary which gives quite an expensive look.
Controls are simple and straightforward as well as being at the perfect sensitivity in my opinion. Has 9 heat settings for finer controls. Cools down quicker than i thought which is great when it’s taken outside and needed to be packed away.
great tempreture control functio
What I really love about this hob is that you simply have to plug it in! It’s sleek, slim and, because it only has one cooking zone. I did not cut a hole to fit it in and it is actually sitting alongside my full size hob. I am using it for cooking breakfast, fried eggs or simple meals for one person as it is much easier to clean than a whole gas hob. It’s touch control and quick to heat up. There are 9 levels of heat settings. Great tempreture control function. Once the tempreture is reached, it stops heating up and the tempreture remains on that level. Very handy and convenient.
Smart looking; fast heating ceramic hob.
Pros:

Cons:
– Surface scratches a little easy, doesn’t feel very durable to be honest.
High quality product; comes with a cleaning spatula, unsure why it’s metal though as I feel this would scratch the hob itself. Excellent value for money – I’d say this is ideal for a second home/holiday home, probably wouldn’t want to use this everyday.

Electric Hob Single Ceramic Hob 30cm Built-in Single Hob with Plug for All Pots.
The key feature of this electric hob is its portability. It comes as a single hob and heats quickly. It can be placed on a flat table and used in caravans or other holiday settings. It is particularly good for stews and curries which you may wish to keep warm following a first serving. At around fifty pounds it’s not cheap but is very versatile. It is also very tough. We accidentally dropped it on a stone floor and not a mark to be seen or a malfunction.
Stylish, easy to use value price
Compact, stylish, eye catching, easy to operate and to clean ( as there is no knobs, just wipe it down with glass/ceramic cooker cleaner).
Warming up quick. With 9 levels of heat and child lock it is perfect little electric hob. Not too complicated or confusing. It does stay warm for some time after switching off, but there is letter H on display to remind about it.
It suppose to be part of built-in kitchen set but, as it can be plugged into regular UK plug, it can be used anywhere really. I used it as temporary solution during kitchen refurbishment. On top of that, I think that ceramic hob is priced very reasonable @54.99 on the day of review.
Ideal
This single ring ceramic hob came at exactly the right time. We’re having a new kitchen fitted so currently cooking in the lounge. I’d never considered anything other than your old fashioned gas bottle camping stove but this is perfect. Plug it in and away you go. It’s neat and sleek, has 9 different heat settings for different foodies, easy to clean, heats up and cools down fast and looks very swish too. I’m now thinking this will be a great addition to our annual camping trips, it’s so practical. Extremely happy with this hob.
practical and easy to use
This Single Ceramic Hob from Hobsir`came very well packaged and the pack included A ceramic hob, A manual, A scraper.
Pros
1. very easy to use, simply plugin and the LED display is very simple to use
2. It has 9 different settings for heat and heats up very quickly.
3. Unlike induction, this can accommodate all types of pans.
4. the controls are touch-sensitive.
5. has a kids safety lock
6. shows residual heat sign which is very helpful especially if you are used to the gas hobs you tend to forget the surface remains hot for quite some time even after it is switched off.
7. easy to clean, even includes a scraper for the occasional spills. The scraper removes these stubborn stains with ease.
Cons
The only thing I don’t like about is the size of the rings, this hob only accommodates a saucepan or a small frying pan. if they made the size of the rings a little bigger then it could have accommodated much bigger pans.
Other than this I found this to be a very easy, practical and good quality ceramic hob.

This ceramic electric single hob works as it should with no any errors. Made from: glass ceramic, glass, ceramic. The size is 52cm. If you have enough kitchen work space to install an additional single hob then this one from ‘Hobsir’ seems an ideal choice, it’s well made and just so long as you’ve had the space cut out correctly then it looks really neat installed plus it’s a plug in version using a 13A plug, no electrician needed at all.
This comes very well packaged, inside the box you’ll get the following:

Ensure your cut out is done by someone who knows what they’re doing, my brother offered to do mine but considering the mess he made of fitting in my 4 ring hob I opted to do it myself and a much better job it was to. You do need to ensure a plug socket is located near by to connect this into, sockets are rarely behind the kitchen bottom cupboards so I have the cable trailing from this hob, underneath the work surface, and then coming up at the back of the surface top into a wall socket.
I like the ease of use with this hob, the 9 heat settings are really beneficial, my main hob only has 5 settings so at least I’m in more control with the temperature. Any saucepan can be used on this hob which is an added bonus, some new fangled nonsense hobs have to have special saucepans, I can’t remember the name but no issues here with that.
The controls are touch sensitive and I like the fact that you are told that the hob is hot, even after you’ve finished cooking, considering this is located on the work surface then this will avoid any unnecessary accidents with my wife placing her shopping bags on it, that’s if she looks first 🙂
Cleaning is very easy at the moment, I mean it’s new so it will always be easy to clean.
We also have over heat and auto shutdown protection, just in case you leave it switched on, done that a few times myself in the past.
The power consumption is up to 1200W.
Overall, the price is reasonably priced at 54.99 for a single hob.

The Hobsir single ceramic hob is sleek, practical and versatile. It’s intuitive to use, with touch-sensitive controls built into the glass. There are only four control buttons: power on/off; lock/unlock; increase heat; reduce heat. It’s that simple. Just plug it in and away you go.
The hob can be recessed into a worktop, leaving the glass almost flush with the worktop surface – extremely space friendly. The ceramic glass is suitable for heating cookware of any material. Power comes via a regular UK 240V three-pin plug. Just plug in the hob and away you go. It’s light enough and small enough to be handy for road trips or caravanning. Anywhere you have access to mains power, the hob can be used. In that respect, it’s a good alternative to old-style camping stoves which need to be connected to a gas canister. Good value for money .simple to operate if you follow the user instructions. The first order though was badly smashed in transition couldn’t be fitted. However we received a replacement next day an electrician fitted. So far all has been first class. Jiro
