Use it to do computer programming . Quick enough to test arduinos and servo. Like a pc but easy to travel with don’t even need to use the keyboard as its got one but in.

This is the best deal I can find from the market for 2 in 1 tablet and I do think I made a good choice. The battery last a decent time, the screen resolution is clear as HD level, the touch screen respond fast to our command and the keyboard is comfort to use. Overall the laptop runs perfect as a work laptop and children tablet when I finish work, wjth touch screen they can get used with it faster. 2 in 1 fulfill the demend we have in the family, plesant with it.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWas quite a gamble purchasing this from a “not-so” recognised brand. So far it’s been really good and I have no complaints. I’m doing more work on it than my primary laptop. At the time I purchased it, I had some vouchers to hand – I’m not entirely sure if this post would exist if I had to pay the full price for it.

Also I’m still yet to fully test the battery life but from what I’ve seen so far it’s standard – nothings exceptional but definitely ok at the very least and depending on use, very good. One thing is the sound – it’s not the best but manageable once you change some settings.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery portable yet powerful tablet / laptop that allows you to use it both as an ideal device as a tablet when on leisure (on trips and holidays), as well as as a laptop when more focused on work activities. Its flexibility is one of its greatest advantages.
The screen is big, really bright and with a very high level of detail, and the device is not too heavy taking into account its size. The stand on the back side comes in very handy so as to not have to hold it all the time, but I would recommend being careful when opening and closing it.
Its 8gb of RAM and its processor allow you to run the day-to-day websites, apps and software without an issue, and the ROM memory will be more than enough for most casual users.
Comes with a stylus pen, which is accurate and may come handy for those using the tablet for design purposes. It also comes with a keyboard, which is detected immediately after plugging it in at the bottom of the screen. The keys have a nice touch and will not feel strange to the user, despite being a detachable keyboard.
Connectivity-wise it has enough ports so no need for plug in adapters for extra USB ports.
If anything, I would have liked the battery to last a bit longer, but the big screen size explains that. In any case, you will be able to get 4-5 hours of usage time with a full charge. It can also be charged via USB-C, so you can charge it with a power bank in any case.

o be specific the Android on this tablet does not allow any GPS satelite navigation except for google maps to use the GPS module, so I cannot use my heavy goods vehicle dedicated applications on it (I had an Asus previously with an older Android from 2014, and that was allright)
I contacted the producer about it one year ago and still no improvement. They don’t care.

Apart from (some) ipads, the only 4:3 ratio screen I can currently find – so much better for browsing, reading, etc.
Nice large 11″ screen feels good and works well – nice device to have.

Only negatives are: suitable case availability (not much choice) & limited Chuwi apps / those I’m used to / like only run on that Mfr’s hardware. But these aren’t directly about the tablet, yet to note any direct negatives about it.

Would definitely buy again if I needed another.

Managed to buy the hipad keyboard too which doubles as a cover. Seamless operation and is an ideal addition to the Hipad

The tablet arrived well-packed and -protected. An ‘open here’ notice on the box would have saved two minutes of me faffing around trying to work out their particular brand of box-folding magic, but I guess that’s down to me! The tablet arrived with a 90% charge, which was nice. The supplied charger is slow and its USB-C charging cable is rather short, which makes things a little more awkward than they needed to have been.

Connection to the home wifi was standard fare, after which the logging in with a Google account and subsequent first-time setup went as usual. The really *un*usual thing was after that first setup process, however: practically no software of any sort is pre-installed, leaving you with a **lovely** and highly-desirable ‘no bloatware’ experience. You get to decide what software gets installed, not Chuwi, which is great. The standard Google apps are already present (i.e., things like Chrome and Youtube), but nothing much else, which I found a wonderful breath of fresh air for these days.

I had read reports about wifi dropping out unexpectedly, but that hasn’t happened to me. The signal strength is not great (compared to my phone, say), but it hasn’t just “stopped working”, either. More annoying is that the screen keeps turning off after 15 seconds when left idle -and, although there’s a setting for increasing that all the way to 30 minutes, there’s no ‘ok’ button to accept the new setting, so it cannot actually be changed. I will need to read up on how to make the increased timeout ‘stick’, but I don’t think it right for it to require that level of involvement to achieve something that’s meant to be so trivially easy to achieve.

I bought this tablet really for only one reason: to be able to display PDF orchestral scores and follow along as they play on my hifi. For this purpose, the tablet is pretty much perfect: even very complex scores display with practically no delay as you jump about them, and flicking between pages as the piece playback progresses is responsive and painless. It’s taken me many years to find an e-score reader I can actually live with: this tablet, with its plus-sized screen and high-resolution, coupled with more-than-adequate CPU resources, has finally scratched that itch. Naturally, full scores do not actually ‘fit’ on a smaller-than-A4 screen, but the scaling involved is relatively minor and definitely leaves the pages more-than-acceptably readable.

Movie playback on the device (via Emby) is excellent, too: vibrant colours, high contrast, fine screen resolution -and, again, no network drop-out during whatever 2-hour movie I’ve opted to play. My battery charge did drop from 86% to 26% having watched one movie, though: I could wish for better endurance than that.

I wish the tablet had come with a protective case. There aren’t a lot of Chuwi Hipad Plus 11″ cases out there, so choice is definitely limited, and delivery of the ones that one does manage to find is invariably on the proverbial slow boat from China. The one advertised by Amazon that’s ‘often bought with’ the tablet, for example, is available for for less than 10, which sounds great… until you notice that there’s an extra 15 postage and a wait until February (i.e., over three weeks at the time of writing) for delivery. That’s not a great option, therefore… but it’s apparently almost the only option you have at the current time!

There’s no stylus, either, which is a bit of a drawback compared with other tablets I looked at (though none had the screensize or resolution I was after): marking up my orchestral scores as I use them seems to be a project for another time. It’s a deficiency I’ll live with in the meantime.

Overall, I’m happy. The price was acceptable; the display is fine; the almost bog-standard Android experience is lovely; its score-reading and video-playback capabilities are more than adequate. On the other hand, the battery life seems a little short; and the apparent inability to alter the screen sleep time is annoying (but probably fixable in due course). Would I buy again? Definitely.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWell I am absolutely thrilled with this tablet, instant connection to WiFi, and can be used all over the house; all these photos have been taken upstairs, the router being on the ground floor. Wonderful clear, bright screen, with instant touch controls; and lovely slim design, which is easy to hold. I have used it for the usual on-line shopping, browsing, reading etc. whilst my grandson was able to access his favourite games, and play them uninterrupted for several hours, well at least it felt like it.
I was looking for a tablet with a large capacity as I also enjoy reading and listening to e books and audio books on this device; I have been able to download them, so I can read and listen to at my leisure. This is where the lightweight, slim design, is the most useful, as holding a heavier tablet can make the arms ache after a while. I was also delighted to find that, probably through my Google account, that the whole menu and my list of favourites, automatically transferred to this new device. I see that it is also equipped with a duel camera, something that will definitely be used this Christmas and New Year. I tried taking a few snaps and they turned out really well, bright colours, and very clear.
When purchasing I always look for the latest technology, even though I am a little ignorant when it comes to technical terms; thankfully I have my son in law to help. All I can really tell you is the connection is superb, the screen ultra clear, touchscreen immediate response, and the battery life also very good. Static pictures or moving images, equally as good, so really a great purchase. It looks and feels very impressive, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tablet to family and friends.

    Brilliant tablet, so pleased

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersI bought this for on a whim as I needed to replace an old laptop that had seen better days. I am really pleased with my purchase especially for the price! Screen is superb 2k quality, 2160 x 1440, and is very clear and vibrant. The keyboard is backlit making it easy to use in low light and startup time is incredibly fast. Battery lasts about 6-7 hours and charging is quick. I use an optional USB type C PD2 fast charger. All in all a really good laptop.

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersThe laptop arrived the next day despite foul weather up in the Highlands of Scotland. Started off fine. Nice screen beautiful colours and definition. I worried about the keyboard change to UK keyboard but it was no bother. One problem was that it froze one evening and would not shut down or anything. Had sorted itself out the next day. I rang the helpline and was adviced to look for and install updates. This seems to have worked but leaves me with a slight worry that it will happen again. The helpline chat person said he would ring me the next day but did not do so.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our Usersexactly what you want from a laptop compact, speedy and an incredibly crisp display only a few minor niggles.
    1. It gets HOT when put under pressure which isn’t too much of an issue for me seeing as I use it mainly for YouTube and Netflix but it is something to look out for.
    2. Around the edges of the display there is some quite bad light bleed which isn’t too noticable until you have anything black on the screen then it is quite noticable

Overall it’s a great wee device for the money and i would thoroughly recommend it!

    Brilliant little and powerful laptop
