Brilliant produc
Excellent surround sound and makes the sfx of whatever game you play that bit more immersive
Great headse
So glad I got these the sound quality is amazing
I ordered these in December 2019, and they survived over 3 years of daily use, multiple house moves, travelling across the country in both public and private transport, being dropped, thrown and stepped on and have only just given up the ghost today.
Pros
They are robust, have a good quality mic and good sound. They are comfortable to wear and look quite good. The signal is strong enough to wander the entire house without it disconnecting, often I would need to go downstairs to get stuff from the kitchen and I could keep talking to people.
cons
The ear padding doesn’t last super long and I have had to replace it twice, the mic doesn’t stay retracted on it’s own, always dropping down to engage with even a slight movement of the head, and they give constant annoying beeping every few minutes when below 50% charge.
Overall they are a very good set if you are looking for a wireless headset, would recommend
I bought these gaming headphones last week at a reduced price of 79.00 which was 27% off after searching for a good pair for weeks. I asked all my gaming friends for recommendations and all of them listed different brands. I wanted wireless to say goodbye to the cord which kept getting wrapped around my chair with my old ones. 7.1 surround. A good quality microphone and speakers. A decent battery was also important as some of my gaming sessions on the weekend with friends can go on for hours. I got all of these things.
WIRELESS
The headphones use 2.4GHz wireless frequency to connect to your PC witht he supplied adapter. It is essentially plug-and-play, with very little setup required (I discuss iCUE below). The range is great, I can go from all corners of my home and it never cuts out and I haven’t noticed any latency with any game, video or song I listen to. I am still getting used to not being tethered to my desk with a cord anymore and realised today I can actually go and make a cup of tea while still talking to my friends now.
BUILD QUALITY
Strong plastic design with a lovely shape and adjustable headband. Combined with the comfortable ear rests which do a great job with external noise reduction, I happy with the quality of this product. I also love how the mic can be raised which mutes all input audio if for example you want to go to the bathroom but still want to listen to a video etc. The charging is fast (cable supplied) and has a great length in case you need it while working/gaming and the battery starts getting low. However, I’ve not needed to do this yet. The lights on the side are nice and funky and can be changed to suit your style.
SOUND AND iCUE
Music, gaming and video sound quality ARE crisp, with a nice balance of bass. A massive upgrade to my old ELO headphones. The surround is amazing and I can hear the location of every footstep in my games. I have nothing bad to say about the sound quality, absolutley out of this world! I can also hear my friends a lot clearer in Discord calls. You can download the supported application iCUE which can change the colour od the lights on the side, change the levels of bass etc. You can pretty much customize the entire headphone experience via this software and I highly recommend downloading it. It also supports Nvidia Broadcast which only adds tot he overall sound and microphone quality.
MICROPHONE
When I joined a call the other day using these for the first time, my friends noticed a massive improvement to my voice quality. They background noise reduction works extremely well, and makes my voice very clear. I haven’t tested this with games I own which use voice recognition yet but I am sure I won’t have any problems with these either as after hearing my voice back, the feedback was faultless. Sounded like I was in a recording studio!
OVERALL
Excellent value for money, fantastic quality. I would highly recommend these to any gamer and people who work from home and need to take conference calls. 10/10
BEST HEADSET EVER
I will recommend this headset to everyone!!! I brought mine from a year ago with me from my move from Florida to the UK and I lost the dongle. BUT this headset is THAT amazing that I bought the exact same one. I use it for gaming and it has a great battery, noise cancellation, and everything else you might need. It also can reach incredibly far wirelessly. I walked away from my PC to make food or something and I could still talk to my friends. It’s so great. The comfort is completely perfect and one feature it has is that it mutes you automatically on Discord (etc.) When you put the mic piece up. I think all headsets should incorporate that. The mouth piece also lights up red if you are muted some other way. Overall, this is just an amazing headset. BUY IT!!
I use this all the time when I am gaming with friends on the computer.
the sound quality is very nice and I am able to tell from which side enemies are coming from by listening to their footsteps when I play call of duty. i have had another headset which has an option to enhance the sound even more but i love this headset.
you can adjust the size of the band to fit your head more, and it has really nice cushioned ear pads so it is really comfortable to wear for hours of gaming.
it is wireless as well so that’s great and has a long battery life and charges easily with a standard USB cable.
The Corsair VOID ELITE RGB Wireless Review.
So like all my reviews I try to give products time.
And this was no different.
I got this product from the Amazon Warehouse as new, and well it was.
Box came in great condition with the headset showing little to no wear.
Let’s break it down, The headset is big, so if you have a semi-small head like me this may not be for you as it kind of weighs on the head, but if your average then you’re okay.
The RG integration is great, the Mic is brilliant in Wireless and the sound quality is magnificent once you tweak the settings I have attached a picture of what I use.
Pros:
The headset is well built.
The mic is excellent.
The RGB is a nice touch.
The battery life is Ok.
The Padding in the headband and earcups is good.
Handy Red light when mic is muted.
Mic Mutes when upright.
Cons:
The headset is quite Heavy, but nothing crazy.
The battery life is very low when RGB is on.
The headset is large so may not be comfortable on your head/ears.
The Microphone stem is large and in your face.
Overall I think this is a 5/5 headset for most people, but for me after giving it hope for a month it is just too big for my head so will be trying to return it.
Please rate this as helpful if it helps
Decided to finally upgrade (if you call it an upgrade) from my aging Astro A40’s I’ve been using over 6 years. I wanted something new, and more importantly something wireless. Getting tangled up on my chair with the headphone wire, having a mixamp on my desk and optical cable/usb cable it was messy. The microphone tells you when it is on/off for reassurance that you aren’t accidentally saying something for others to hear!
These are solid headphones, they look the part. They’re very comfortable and have adequate padding on both the headband and surrounding you ears. I find these a much tighter fit than my Astro A40’s to the point it blocks 90% of background noise out on 35% volume. I find 35% volume is more than enough for me, any louder and I’ll be deaf by the time I’m 50. I can often hear my heart beating when the sound goes silent that’s how good a fit these are.
I’d say they sound quality is slightly inferior compared with my old Astro A40’s, but it’s a “budget” gaming headset. I wasn’t convinced on the sound quality at first until I discovered and downloaded Dolby Atmos for 7.1 surround sound (spatial audio). This transformed the sound quality and headset making me start to enjoy it. I highly recommend downloading Dolby Atmos off the Microsoft store and turning on the Dolby Atmos via the spatial audio on Windows – it will transform the sound quality.
Battery life on a full charge, I can’t seem to get a full charge yet I usually unplug it around 92-96% battery, that will last me about 6 hours of continuous use before I need to recharge it. This is on 35% volume. The advert claims up to 16 hours of battery life, I think this is highly optimistic by Corsair you’d be lucky to get half that on low volume.
The range is good I can walk downstairs and into the hallway before the sound cuts off. As soon as I’m back in range it will auto reconnect.
Overall I’m happy with my purchase. Because the battery life isn’t as good as stated, and the sound quality is slightly inferior to the Astro A40 I’ll give them 8.5/10.
Decent wireless headse
Brilliant for my new pc. Works an absolute dream but is abit loose so wouldn’t do any head banging with it as may fly off and break a monitor or something
Sound was a little quiet for me at max volume, but I am hard of hearing, but after applying a volume hack to windows it is fine which means I caan control it rather than being limited (I think it is more a windows 11 issue than the headset) but my old creative headset didn’t have this issue.
I use it for both phone VoIP and gaming so I use the headset many hours in the day, the battery is not great I find it discharges in around 5 hours of constant use, where as my old creative used in the same way would last a few days at 5 hours or so a day.
Overall a good headset though for the price, the old headset was around twice the price.
I bought a cheaper item from argos in September
It was returned for a fault in December and February i had a refund in May and bought the Corsair
And i am overwhelmed! Hands down beats the old set!
3 years later, still using!
Bought 3 years ago tomorrow and still using this as my main headset, durable, and foam cushioned so doesnt disintegrate like “other” leather headsets (looking at you logitech) battery still decent as well. Cannot falter. Highly recommended
Void elite
Not disappointed, only criticism would be the bass, not heavy enough if required but otherwise its spot on for gaming/movies/music. The wireless range is superb, mic quality is clear, and the icue software is great.
Good Headset for gaming
Great headset, for the money. Even greater when paired with the headset stand. Love the 7.1 audio sound coming through when setting has been enabled. Battery life is really good and if you leave on, then auto shut down will ensure your headset is good to go the next time you use them.
Windows 10 user, last for a good 4-5 hours if not longer. Mic auto mutes in the up position which is great! Audio quality is very good, customisability is good in terms of volume, voice relay, mic volume to others, lighting and fitment! Sit really well on your head and easy to wear for long durations.
Not sure I make too much of the 7.1 surround however as with all headphones ultimately it’s still just stereo.
A great “cheap” gaming headset imo
Great for a glasses weare
First headset I’ve had that doesn’t cause discomfort due to my glasses. Sound quality and charge length also quite respectable, also not big and chunky which a lot of wireless headsets are.
I’m a comfy man and these fit the bill perfectly for me, 10/10.
I ordered these from Amazon, looking around for another pair of headphone since the mic died on my other headphones which turned out to actually be a fault in the headset anyway. So I bought these been using them around a week. First problem I have is trying to get any sort of acceptable sound out of these headphones. It’s sounds “OK” out of the box and what you would expect from headphones in this sort of price range. However. Tuning surround sound was tricky and not that satisfying. They just sound terrible in the highs and mids. I got a really good response though in the lows so bass was thumping.
The problem for me is not only the audio quality but also there is random often irritating “pops” or or brief muting on the audio as if the transmitter is getting interference. I don’t think it should be the case but makes listening to anything unenjoyable.
I think I might return these I am not completely happy. Software was easy to install and set up and configure though. Other than that suffered some quality issues.
Overall good
I really like the headset and I wanted them for a while, bought them on a sale and I am mostly happy with them, my ears hurt a bit after long sessions and if you move a lot they can come off, another thing I don’t like is the microphone, I’m not entirely sure if it’s just me or if it is a design flaw, but if I look slightly down or move my head the mic comes down prompting the “mic on” “mic off” thing which of course can be turned off in the software… other than that I am pretty happy with the purchase.
Good set of wireless "Gaming headphones" Would recommend for the price
Love the design, rgb is okay for the price if your bothered about that, solid build.
Only issue sometimes can disconnect or take a while to connect. This is on PC though not PS.
🙂
This headset has some setup issues, but is otherwise a great piece of ki
I will forewarn you, look up the name of this headset and “connection” or “startup issues” and the like, you will find it causing trouble for people. If you can tolerate that, read on.
The funny part is, the moment you get it connected it is absolutely fantastic as a headset, it outcompetes a 150 sennheiser set I’ve had for years, and, as a quick note for the unfamiliar, Sennheiser are supposedly incredibly good at sound work, while Corsair tends to be seen as a bit pricey for what you get (paying for the brand) – in this case though, the Void Elite is a clear winner for me.
The RGB can be fiddled with using Corsair iCue which may be a plus or minus for some, as iCue is a big bit of software – 1gb+ may not sound like much, but its a lot if you only use it for monitoring battery and lights.
Just be warned you should probably be ready to mess with unplugging, replugging, rebooting, and powering down and back up for about 20 minutes to an hour before it starts to work properly for the first time – after that it’ll cause you no issues again, but boy the initial experience is a mess.
Incredible value for money
10/10 comfort, and the weight, They’re so light!
The audio is so clear and crisp, with great bass and a easy to download software that lets you change the audio via equaliser.
Good but battery doesn t last long
100 for wireless gaming headset is not a bad price. The only issues i have with this headset is the battery and the sound controls. It doesn’t last for too long and it doesn t automatically turn off when you turn your pc off, even tough i ticked that box in the settings. The second issue is with the sound controls, sometimes the settings reset, so you may have to change your settings a few times a week, which makes it really annoying. In rest, everything works fine, they are really comfortable, noise cancellation is the best one i ve seen on gaming headsets.
Banging.
Audio is fantastic. Wireless is an entirely new experience. The robot voice when you turn the headset on/off, mute mic etc can be a bit annoying. Not looked into how to deactivate this yet.
Corsair’s Void Elite Wireless Headphones are great headphones for gaming and movies.
On its own, the sound is pretty good, but I advise that you download Corsair iCUE to take full advantage of these headphones. When paired with iCUE you have access to 5 preset equalizer settings with the ability to create additional EQ settings that you can set up however you like.
If you have the extra cash I would also recommend instilling Dolby Access, which applies Dolby Atmos to the headphones.
Build quality feels sturdy and they are light enough to be worn for hours at a time with no pressure on the head or ears.
Battery life does last around 16 – 17 hours however make sure the lighting settings are turned off or the battery drains significantly faster.
This headset has been through it all: water encounters, hitting the ground multiple times and heavy usage. As written in the title, I’ve had this headset for three years and not once have I had an issue with it. The sound quality is great, I can wear it all day and the battery lasts for a very good time considering its age. If I were to recommend a headset this would be the one without a doubt. (not a paid-for bollocks review. This is genuinely a review I wanted to write because of how happy I am with the headset)
The RGB is pretty much pointless
(its on the side of your head, so you can’t actually see it in use)
I also found that by switching it off, the battery life pretty much doubled.
sound quality is fantastic,
microphone is clear (from what i’ve been told from people listening to me)
cushioned ear pads are nice and soft, (i wear glasses and other headsets have given pain where they rub against the arms of the glasses, but these have been fine for 4+ hours of constant usage)
overall, i’m very happy with them.
only tip i would advise, is turn off the RGB and enjoy much longer wireless usage! 🙂
Mostly a good review here, but the default options out of the box are not described well by iCue…
The voice notifications are volume 105% so deafen with little effort…
The unit also seems to beep randomly during playback like a low battery beep but it can be on charge, think there are some bugs in the firm/software causing that…
Otherwise its a great headset, clear mic and great sound.
Surround sound works really well, extreamly immersive with the right audio source.
Battery life is reasonable, I get about two days (5-6 hours each) of use before it requires charging again…
Overall, I recommend, but I hope you like odd qwerks here and there… 🙂
There’s no words to express how happy I am with this gaming wireless headset.
The quality of the sounds is top notch.
The range of the wireless signal is more that whats being advertise.
All in all its an Amazing buy for me
Good sound, although my microphone volume is low.
Can’t seem to get the firmware to update and seems to be a heap of online issues with the same thing. Icue is fairly awful.
Don’t fit great, not snug on the ears.
But it’s still great value for money considering it’s wifi and works.
First time I’ve bought branded headphones and not some cheap knock off pair. This are comfortable and great to use, bass for music is good. not the best but their wireless so I didn’t expect the top of the range for sound quality, got them on discount too and worth every penny!
First impression were looks great, but kind of heavy but you get used to that. One solid piece of advice start very low on volume as the missus can hear them clear across the house so imagine how deaf it will make you when you first use them up loud. Sound quality is crystal clear, very good for listening to music, and heavier rock music isnt distorted. I use them when working and gaming so with constant and continuous use i get around 13 hours before they run out of battery, the good thing is the included usb cable is long enough to charge them whilst i use them. The range on them is pretty good unless you live in a house with solid brick walls everywhere. So to conclude, im very happy with them, they are exactly what i need and would purchase them again. Dave
Have used these for a while now, and have to say once you twist the foam ear pads to suit your head, they are very comfortable. Battery lasts all day a you can still play while charging BUT my only grip is the position of the charging port and its not USB C.
I bought these as I do a lot of gaming but also need to work at 3D printers a lot which requires me to move from one room to another. I can still chat to my mates all around the house while I’m working which is grea
Great headset, doubt the pricier ones could be much better than this.
Had this a year now, so think I can write an unbiased review.
I trust Corsair, most of my PC components are Corsair and recently got a chair from them too. So if they make something I need I will normally put them at the top of the list. This headset is one of the reasons why. It is light given it is a metal frame, that does give away a bit of flexibility and as others have mentioned it means it sits quite loose on your head but you get used to it.
Sound quality is great and noise-cancelling is brilliant too. Have used the mic on Discord while gaming, it is much better than any other I have had. Old ones picked up the sound of my fan in the summer, this filters it out.
Fit is a little loose even with a large head, but it’s otherwise comfortable. Battery life isn’t as good as my last headset which was a logitech G930, but certainly looks better, and the sound / mic quality is better too.
All in all a mixed bag. Got mine on sale, unless in a rush recommend doing the szne if your heart is set on these.
Very comfortable and easy set up
Bought for my PS4 but it needs to use one of the USB ports. The only other Downside is that when speaking in the in game chat the microphone is very quiet, and the speakers are quieter than I was expecting
Bought for WFH zoom calls. Sound quality is great but the mic is awful. Considering how much you pay for these. The guys on the other end need to be able to hear you. Besides that though, they fit well, look awesome and sound good.
My first pair of Corsair headphones and I am really pleased so far. Im using them on PC having previously had some Turtle Beach Stealth 600’s, they sadly snapped as the headband wasn’t very flexible. I am pleased to say the Corsairs are really flexible and incrediby comfortable. I don’t have the RGB on, i’ve read it uses a fair bit of battery and let’s face it, when they are on your head you can’t see it anyway. Compared with the Turtle Beach these headphones are much louder, while I would say the Turtle Beach have a warmer sound which would be good for movies etc. when playing Warzone I can hear much more details with the Corsair. Overall I am really pleased with my purchase, just hoping the reliability is better than the Turtle Beach.
Overall I’m very happy with the headset.
Its comfortable and the quality of both the audio and the mic is great.
My only complaint is the beeps that signify the mic being muted or unmuted are really obnoxious. Its a series of 7 or so very rapid, irregular beeps. If you’re frequently moving the mic up and down to mute/unmute, it gets annoying. I can’t for the life of me understand why they didn’t just go with one beep for mute/unmute.
Also after about 5 months of use the mic arm became loose and would not stay locked upright by itself.
This was easily fixed by taking the headset apart and tightening the hinge screws.
Minor complaints. Good product all things considered.
people said that they add problems with charging but I have add no problems with the headset at all they are perfect I love them and if I had to rate the from 1 to 10 I will get give them 100%
The headphone sound quality is great.
The comfort is superb.
However…..
The dongle is ridiculous, I cannot connect it to my surface laptop without having to pocket clip pushing the whole laptop to a slight slant.
Unlike it’s predecessors, this headset has a much nicer build quality to it and feels strong and sturdy.
The ear-cups are comfortable and fully submerge the ears inside the headset, leaving it usable for hours without any aches or pain on the ears. the wireless range is fantastic if your doing something in the room next door and listening to music, or watching a film and want to relax on the sofa without keeping others awake.
I will be honest in saying that I do think that the USB style connection is a little out-dated, but this is a reasonable sacrifice for the product you receive.
The audio leaves more to be desired when you are using the built-in iCue equalisers but if you create custom ones and use peoples settings provided on the corsair forums, you can get a fantastic audio experience – you just have to put that little bit of work in. Alternatively, these are Dolby Atmos compatible and can be used with the Dolby atoms spatial feature on windows and pairs up with the Atmos app provided on the Microsoft app store for a phenomenal cinematic sound experience.
Overall, very good headset and very happy with the performance.
Though it may not apply, the old versions of the corsair voids had issues with battery quality diminishing within months – But I expect the battery performance of these will be far more better. I will update my review in time with feedback on the battery, though right now it’s holding a good 10 hours with no need for charging.
I needed a new pair of gaming headphones and wanted wireless after looking around I had noticed this set had a number of positive reviews, I brought them and they are perfect, very comfortable amazing features and sound plus microphone works perfect.
sounds quality is really good and its well put together, battery life is pretty good and when it does need charging the cable is plenty big enough so can still be used comfortably. one thing it struggles with is going into bootloader mode and it becomes unresponsive and there doesnt seem to be much help online with how to get it working again, the best way to get it out of bootloader mode is to hold the mute button and then plug into the pc with the usb cable, might take a few tries but it should work and get you back up and running
Took some getting used to over the original void wireless but it works well and it’s fine, the added noise cancelling padding or whatever it is that’s going on works a treat but I’m now constantly accused of shouting to compensate!
Probably the best headset I’ve ever bought. Sound quality and noise cancellation is fantastic, my only gripe is that I have piercings, and the ear pads are not very accommodating for piercings so my ears get really sore after a while. I wish we could fit bugger pads for more room.
Other than that, they’re fantastic. You can use them wirelessly or plug in the cable and use them whilst on charge. 🙂
Battery lasts me about 5-6 hours before it starts to beep and needs charging
I bought these for streaming as my current Sennheiser 363d wired headset was having rubbing noises come over my stream when the wire rubbed on my fleece zip.
Pros:
They look really good and are fairly comfortable.
Mic can be disabled by moving the arm up towards the top
Fast charging.
Ear lights can be configured via iCUE to match other lighted peripherals.
Long wireless range.
Very sturdy.
Cons:
Battery charge is greatly shortened when using ear lights (expected)
Sound isn’t as clear or defined as my Sennheisers.
Gaming Review for PS4/PS5 Corsair VOID Elite 7.1 Surround Sound
Works great on the Playstation via the dongle provided only, no wired option available, simple connectivity and sound quality is fantastic. The mic seems slightly quiet initially but no ones has stated a problem online. Very comfy, so wearing for long periods of time is not an issue, they are light on the head and does not cause sweaty ears. Battery life seems to go on fir hours and hours certainly enough for a solid gaming session. Charge time is quick about 1-2 hours max depending on your power source connection for example via Phone charger USB plug or USB on PC respectively.
The RGB is a telltale disappointing as o ly the Logos on each ear light up which is controlled by a PC using downloaded software wher you can also setup audio settings. There are several preset audio settings accessed on the side volume toggle button by pushing in to switch between the preset options.
Verdict….
Sound quality 10/10
Microphone 9/10
Comfort 10/10
Overall 9/10
I use this headset for work, not for gaming, so I can’t comment on how it works for gaming.
I am often in online meetings for several hours a day and, while this headset is quite heavy, I find it really comfortable, well balanced, with excellent sound and a really good mic.
I literally use this product every day and it’s phenomenal. The sound quality is pristine, the mic quality is great for casual play, and the mic feedback allows you to hear better whilst walking around the house with people around. The only possible downside would be the weight of this specific product, however, there are lighter versions of this headset for similar prices, so there’s no real issue there.
Good set of gaming headphones.
I really like these. Corsair do some really good stuff! Very comfortable, fairly good battery life and well built. Sound quality is a bit tinny but they are for gaming, not listening to music. Microphone is one of the best things about this, and it being wireless.
Love the headset, i had the original Void headset (not pro/elite) and it was amazing. a few years later and its finally died on me. Upgraded to this headset and it is comfy and then some.
Oddly enough though, it is an upgrade from the first version yet sound quality is worse, you have to mess around with settings as the iCue software either has 7.1 surround or Stereo. Needed to purchase Dolby Atmos software to have a more enjoyable gaming session. Other than having to purchase additional software, the headset is outstanding.
I got this headset with the intention of finally going full wireless with regards to my peripherals, and this headset is a great addition to my setup!
The sound quality out of the box is alright however I recommend messing around with the EQ silders on The “iCUE” application required when using this headset so as to fully utilise the headset when listening to music. This brings me to my other point, pressing the volume knob allows you to go through all your EQ presets so you can have specific EQ settings for different situations; I love it since I personally have been using the FPS EQ preset provided by Corsair. Going back however, I mentioned there being a volume knob, it’s self explanatory, just a knob on the left earphone which you can rotate up or down controlling the volume. In my experience I usually have it at around 35-50% as the headset can get super loud and may be even damaging to your ears.
The gameplay experience is something we must talk about before continuing. For general gameplay and competitive games I cannot recommend this headset enough. Being able to have a custom EQ preset in order to hear footsteps and the like easier is so helpful that I almost feel like I’m cheating. The only type of game that this headset cannot be paired with is rhythm games. I feel too much latency when trying to do anything on the beat: I noticed this on the game “Osu!”. I am not simply blaming this headset for my poor timing as I personally have no problem tapping on beat. However, after using this headset for the first time on “Osu!” I found myself having to change the song offset to around +5 or +15ms as the latency was too noticeable. It’s a simple fix on “Osu!”. However playing a game like “Beat Saber” where song offset isn’t a feature of the game really begins to aggravate me as I find myself completely screwing up songs I was previously able to do.
This isn’t just a pair of headphones though, you also have a mic to use which even has a setting to where you can hear yourself in real time! The mic quality is what you’d expect from a headset, it’s very clear but it does sound like you’re talking through an early 2000s brick phone. The mic has two ways of muting and unmuting, the first one through a button on the left side and the second one through lifting the mic up. Using the second method (although satisfying to do) is also somewhat risky as I have experienced it dropping down before leading to the mic unmuting. If you have your setting enabled, you’ll have a tone play whenever it mutes and unmutes so it’s not hard to figure out if your mic is muted or not.
Lets go into how the headset feels on the head. Frankly, it is too loose a fit. You cannot have these headphones on while playing VR as it will fall off your head. With this, I cannot recommend this headset if you are thinking on using it for VR. I hope they fix this issue if Corsair decide to make a revised version of this headset as it may be a deal breaker for some: having less wires to worry about when playing VR is so advantageous!
With all this in mind, this is a great wireless headset with a lot of very useful features! The audio quality coming out of the drivers are great. The mic is not too different to any other headset mic and even has pretty good noise cancelling since other headsets have the problem of being able to pickup what’s coming out of the headphones. Although not great for rhythm games, you can find ways around this. Lastly, the fit of the headset just isn’t good enough for VR where wireless can really be handy! If you’re looking into going wireless, this is a good headset but please do take everything into consideration! The last thing we want is to have to get another pair!
Really, really good headset! I’ve beem using it for couple of years since I’ve got them. I can use them literally 12-18 hours per day and my ears doesn’t hurts. The only thing I’m unhappy about it – it is too lose. When I tilt front my headset is about to fall down off my head. So, thereforce, the only the way to using them is sitting straight.
I bought a SteelSeries headset for Zoom and Teams on the advice of my Gamer son. I liked it and the wireless system works well – even though it uses USB-C and I had to buy an adapter.
What’s that got to do with the Corsair? Well, when lockdown 3 started and schools went online, my 12 year old daughter needed a headset, so I gave her that SS set.
This meant that I was back on a search for another set – and I thought ‘do I buy another SS set or buy what my son uses – a Corsair Gaming set?’ I researched, read up and looked around and came to the same conclusion that my son had – that these are very good value for money.
For music I only use Bose as they suit my music choices, fit very well and sound superb. Yes they’re expensive but they are, for me, the best.
When reading about these Corsairs, I saw posts that the fit isn’t great and the sound is not always what is expected. Now my online headphone requirements are modest; I’m no gamer but I am a songwriter and collaborate with my music partner regularly.
These fit me nicely, the sound is great and I love the Mic which when you flip it up, turns the mic off. The American voice that states ‘Mic on / Mic off’ is annoying and perhaps you can turn it off – the software ‘iCue’ is easy to use and can control a host of other Corsair gadgets.
My main gripe is the size of the USB Dongle – it’s the same size as an old thumb drive and could be damaged fairly easily. Unlike the SS version which is a lot smaller (but I accept that brings other issues).
For the price I paid; this set is comfortable, very configurable (the lights on the sides of the headphone cup can be altered to your own taste like a lot of Corsair products), the mic flips up out of the way (and is turned off when in that position) and the overall sound of the set is very pleasing.
You can adjust the sound to a variety of settings and although I’ve not played with that much, it does make a noticeable difference if you like that sort of thing and could enhance games.
I’m very pleased with them and would recommend them.
Very good headset, the lighting (both colour and brightness) is fully controllable with free iCUE software and can sync to any other corsair RGB things you have. It sounds pretty damn good, battery could be longer but its definitely long enough, the convience of being able just to walk from my computer to wherever and back without having to fiddle with taking it off is a lot better then you’d think.
I especially recommend this headset for people with VR headsets, as less wires is more good and the sound quality (at least compared to the quest 2’s speakers) is much better.
Absolutely fantastic headset I use theses for pc and I can’t fault them I bought the razer nari gaming headset and I had to send it back as it was to complicated to set up and there was echoing all the time on party chat these where easy to setup and great sound only annoyance is when you mute the mic there is a voice that comes through the headset telling you it’s muted I don’t know if this can be turned of but I can live with i
Want a bf to never listen to you again?! Just buy them this for gaming. You will disappear into the void while he happily ignores you. Nice headset and good value when on sale 70 lasts long battery wise and has good sound quality
I’m no audiophile but the 7.1 sounds tinny as hell. Stereo is fine so just using that for now.
Battery life for me is about 5 hours from full, with only a static colour on RGB. Adequate, but for long gaming sessions I end up using it as a wired device for a few hours at a time.
They’re comfy, they don’t make your ears melt, but the massive flaw in these headphones is that it’s one size fits all…. No option to adjust to a smaller head. If I nod, or move my head (slightly agressively) they fall off.
The mic on this product is really good! Much better than most of the premium gaming headset mics. Soun quality is really nice and rich and it’s very convenient. Comes with a receiver so it’s plug and play and the RGB and sound settings can be controlled via the corsair icue app.
Work perfectly on PC with MS Teams, clear sound, good fit around ears to block out any background noises. The easiest setup I for any wireless PC device… just plug in the USB dongle and turn them on. If I lean right forward there is a bit of movement, but they stay on my head and tbh I wouldn’t want them to fit any tighter as they are perfectly comfortable just how they are. I read some other reviews that complained about this but honestly don’t see a problem. If you’re expecting headphones to stay put when you’re leaping around doing a fitness class then you’ll probably be better off with a proper sports headset.
A headset with good quality sound. Love the ability to mute the mic just by flipping it upwards. The ICUE software is a must to download and work on getting the right sound quality for you.
An excellent headset, great sound quality and the features when used on PC are great.
My only gripe was there’s some background static when the volume is low but this can be resolved by ramping your output volume up while lowering the volume on the headset.
Unfortunately for me however I bought this as a wireless headset to use in my living room on my Shield TV. It was only after purchasing and testing out this headset I found the Shield will not accept mic input from any headset, unless you run it through a proprietary shield controller.
I’ve sent it back for a refund as even though its a great headset, it’s not suitable for my needs. This doesn’t count towards its rating in this review though as its NVIDIAs problem, and I’d you want it for PC or aren’t bothered about voice chat I highly recommend it.
Slight static buzzing at times on the left side of the headset but usually is unnoticed, charging is slow but it’s okay since the battery lasts way more than I’d expect, had older wireless headsets which only last 4 hours yet I can play 11 hours per day in lockdown and not have to charge it for 3 days
Absolutely LOVE these headphones.
Absolutely LOVE these headphones, I think ive got 3 pairs in all the colours. 1 for the PC. 1 for the laptop. 1 for just wandering about. im just lazy. and i use in several rooms. They can connect seamlessly, i just don’t wanna get up and get the headsets so i have seperate ones.
As the title says. Not worth the extra cost for RGB unless you enjoy checking yourself out in the mirror.
Easy to install and use, just plug and play the USB drive included.
Can’t comment on battery life as yet, because I’ve not had to charge but so far they’ve lasted 3 or 4 gaming sessions at roughly 3 hours each.
Not clued up enough to comment on the sound quality but seem ok for myself on PS4 and PC!
Definitely not as fitted as most seem to mention, but as long as you don’t flail around / mosh constantly, you’ll be ok!
Good pair of headphones for gaming and watching movies with excellent sound quality and battery life.
For PC: Make sure you install the iCUE software to install drivers and keep the headset updated and customisable.
After trying some 30-40 Bluetooth earbuds with Windows, I had to concede defeat and try and something more traditional that would simply work. Previously I’d been fighting with intermittent connection issues and fluctuating microphone volumes.
None of that though with Corsair Void Elite, the sound quality is superb and those I’m on calls with can hear me clearly. Every time I pick them up to use them, they work and the battery is good enough to last through the working day even with many hours of usage.
I particularly like the Sidetone feature that plays your own voice back to you through the speakers so even though these are fairly noise cancelling you can still hear yourself speak and without any delay. The latest release of the iCUE software has also fixed a bug where the Sidetone would remain muted after unmuting the microphone so now these are near enough perfect.
Whilst I mainly use these for work, they so get some gaming use too and they are excellent for that with the gun shots in Hell Let Loose bouncing around the cans nicely.
