This alarm system covers all the smoke detection and carbon monoxide plus you get a couple so can put them around the house. The best part is you dont need to spend tome trying to test all individually as theyre all linked already just test altogether! I needed a bit of help installing them as ceilings are high and just getting them set up.

CPVAN Wireless Interlinked Smoke, Heat & Carbon Monoxide Alarm Bundle with Remote Control, Scotland & England Law Compliant, 10 Year Battery, CE & BS Certified, Pre Linked. 5 Pack is currently at the price of 129.99 including next-day delivery and 30 days returns if anything goes wrong with the item.
I got this interlinked Smoke, Heat & Carbon Monoxide Alarm system for my parent’s house, as they are a bit older now and because they have a pretty large house I wanted to make sure its safe for them to live in, socially as recently some of their neighbours had issues with gas leaks and the is just not something I want to risk.
It’s just been a few weeks since my husband installed it, so I cannot defiantly comment on the battery life, but I do hope it is as promised, and that at least we won’t have any issues for the next 5 years – or 10 if it will work as promised.
My husband didn’t have much of an issue installing it around the house – he is an IT engineer so I would hope he knows more than me, but from what he told me is that he used the QR code to watch the video about installation and that helped him a big time.
All in all, we are happy at the moment, and defiantly feel safer having these around my parent’s house, so fingers crossed there won’t be a need to have them go off, but in case they will have to I know my parents will be safe.

A really great setup every home needs. A heat alarm for the kitchen, 3x smoke alarms for sensible spots around the house and a carbon monoxide detector for the boiler. Super simple to link if you watch the YouTube vid which is nicely done and so easy to follow. Double sided foam pads make install a breeze. One goes off they all go off. Remote control allows easy checking of operation. Highly recommended. Not cheap but what price your safety?

This box of interlinked alarms is well worth the price, because home safety is beyond cost! I tried the sticky pads and I also tried the provided screws, both seem to be effective. The only awkward thing is separating the mounting plate to fit the screws through it, but somehow I did this without breaking anything.
Although I live in a simple 3 bedroom house, I found that set this was an ideal size but I would have to add another CO detector because in my house there are two different rooms where I need to have one – but this doesn’t in anyway minimise that this set would fit a majority of homes.
The remote control is definitely an asset, giving you a really easy way to test and operate them.
The smoke detectors are east to test and work very well, the CO detector is very difficult to test without killing yourself, but it seems to me that as much as I can tell they all seem to work well.
Battery life if as advertised is simply brilliant, but they should be checked regularly for safety reasons.
This set is really helpful and offers a lot for the asking price. I think that the construction allowing disassembly could be better, but frankly I see this as a general issue these days.
This is a great kit and I feel very positive about it.

Clearly the most important aspect of such a safety system is, does it actually work and is it reliable? In my experience, this system satisfies that requirement. All three sensor types triggered for me as expected, when met with a corresponding test challenge (smoking match for the smoke detectors, hairdryer for the heat sensor, and a commercial CO test spray for the carbon monoxide sensor). In that aspect, I have trust in the installed system.

I had no issues with pairing units and the “mesh” concept is what initially drew me to this product. It’s a great idea for a larger house and/or multiple levels, to have multiple alarm sounders which are triggered by a remote sensor.

The one aspect which detracted from the experience was, as others have noted, the attachment of the units to their base. The tolerances of the plastic clips are way too high, resulting in it being very hard to achieve a positive engagement (or be certain that you have). A number of times I thought I’d fully engaged the sensor with its base plate, only to check it again and find it still easily dislodged. I think this is exacerbated by the base plates being very thin and flexible – if the ceiling isn’t itself perfectly flat (e.g. an artex finish), then it can distort and make positive engagement of all of the sensor retaining lugs even harder.

The manufacturer supplies adhesive pads which could be used for mounting, although they do describe this as a “temporary” option and I would concur; I wouldn’t trust the longevity of the adhesion.

One star deducted for being a pain to mount but otherwise a very functional alarm system.

150 reduced to 130 at time of review

Once installed these blend into the background and you hopefully you can forget all about them for 10 years or so, until the batteries finally need replacing. There’s 3 fire detectors and a single carbon monoxide detector, which for me is fine as I live on a single floor, but for anyone with two floors etc, check your regs as I think you are required to have a monoxide detector on every floor (but I could be wrong, may depend on other factors).

Anyway setting these up is OK, not super simple, but not painstaking either, there’s a handy video link that’s worth a watch. Mine were all linked out of the box, so that was all good. My place isn’t too big, so getting them interlinked was ok too, only slight issue was adding the detector to the base plate, was a little fiddly first couple of times, but otherwise no huge issues.

Fingers crossed I never have to deal with these again, I can forget about them for 10 years!

    Hope my review was helpful

Having had boiler issues in the past and being told I’m lucky to be here this is a must to keep yourself and your family safe with a warning if there is an issue. I can only assume this will work though as I havent got any issues at present. I do test it regular to make sure its still working. I know its a 10 year battery life but you still have to be sure. It is easy to install and very discreat so doesnt get in the way. I do think this is of a reasonably price as these things need to be well made to ensure safety so I wouldnt trust a cheap one. If you want piece of mind this is a must.

My other half has fitted this in about an hour, but only after watching the video by following the QR code.

Everything is pre linked which is a good thing and testing indicates everything is working as it should. Hopefully it will last the 10 years claimed as that will make it well worth the cost. You can add to the system too so if you have a bigger house or more floors it shouldn’t be a problem buying extras.

The QR code linked YouTube video made these very easy to set up. I had system installed in 30 minutes. I like how the sensors are plain white with no stand out buttons which means they aren’t that noticeable. The fob is handy for initiating a test and for pairing. I’m glad our house now meets the new regulations set in Scotland.

This pack comes pre-linked and was really easy to install and set up and is fine for a flat or bungalow. However the pack only comes with one CO alarm. The recommendations state there should be one CO alarm on each floor i.e one at ground floor level, one at first floor level etc. Separate interlinked CO alarms are available to buy though pricey in proportion to the cost of this pack.

Well packaged, opened up and all items looked quality. Only slight complaint is it’s a little fiddly to get the back plate off from the detector, ended up pulling apart using my finger nail. Also before you start looking at instructions to start, use the QR code and watch the video, it’s a lot easier to set up. It’s again slightly fiddly setting up. It took me a few times but super easy, keep watching the video and you’ll get there. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Not straightforward to install. It’s easy to fit the back plate to ceiling, can use existing holes if replacing previous alarms. However, poor product design when it comes to fitting alarm to the back plate. Its a nightmare. Alarms designed to look good, but the click and twist on feature on the alarm is much too neat and poorly designed to allow a simple joining of the alarm to the backplate. Varied 5 – 10 minutes jiggling for each alarm to finally get alarm fitted to backplate. V tiring on the arms reaching up. Carbon monoxide alarm was easy to fit as it was a different design. Promises a 10 year battery life but Heat Alarm was already a year old out of the box so it only has a replacement (expiry) date which is 9 years away. Strange that alarms in the same box set all have different replacement dates! Glad I bought the set with the remote as linking the alarms wouldn’t be easy without it. Although supposed to be pre-linked prior to purchase, only 2 out of the 5 worked first attempt. Another 10 minutes with the remote to get them all to work as described. Too early to tell if they will last the expected 10 years.

I jumped at the chance to get these. I have a bit of a thing about fire safety, and although we have smoke alarms, the idea of having them all linked makes me feel much safer. Not only that, but it could add valuable time for us to make our escape if the worst does ever happen. As we know, time is of the essence in that situation because smoke kills.

    In the box you receive
    3 x Smoke Alarm,
    1 x Heat Alarm,
    1 x Carbon Monoxide Detector,
    1 Remote Control

The system is pre-linked, so they are super easy to set up. All you need to do test them and then attach them to the ceiling.

If you have any issues, there’s a QR code which will take you directly to a set up video.

I think every new build should have this system put in place as standard.

I am very grateful to have received this system as part of the vine programme. Thank you.

    It’s 5 stars from me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just feel safer!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHad a few issues turning the smokes and heat on to begin with but there was a handy QR code which took you to a YouTube video of the setup which was very useful. They were all linked out the box, so it was just a simple task of screwing the base onto the wall and then connecting the heads. The remote is great for testing they work, saves getting your ladder out and the house feels a lot safer, especially as they’re interlinked, meaning the upstairs ones will go off if any downstairs do! Devices aren’t too big either, so they aren’t an eye sore.. would recommend to anyone looking.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis kit had all items I required and seems good value.
I used screws to fix as I would not trust adhesive on ceiling, all items tested functional but early days so cannot comment on battery life.
One niggle was the instructions, somewhat less than an easy logical flow to set up units and test.

I recently got this carbon monoxide alarm and I’m so happy I did as I needed one for my new house! What stood out to me most about it is the 10-year battery life – it gives me peace of mind knowing it will work even if I forget to check the battery. The clear LED display is super easy to see and the test button is a lifesaver, giving me the confidence to know it’s working properly.

One thing I would suggest improving is the instructions – they could be clearer and more detailed, but I think there might be some difficulties with translation.

Overall, this alarm offers all the necessary features I need to keep myself and my loved ones safe, it’s simple to use and maintain, and it’s a fantastic value for the price. Here’s to hoping it will serve me well for the next decade. 4 stars!

Installed easily, replaced old mains linked alarms which had to be replaced anyway. If the batteries last 5 years it’ll be a snip.
