If you’re just doing word processing and internet surfing, this screen is just the job.
I use two with Cubase 13. Nice sharp image.
Maybe not suited to video editing, gaming etc..
Ideal
I needed an extra screen since working from home and being used to 2 screens in the office. Easy to unpack and set up with the cables included. Good clear picture. Light weight.

Great monitor. Just be aware that it doesn’t have any up/down movement so if you need it a bit higher then you’ll need to put some old magazines under the stand

Good Value Monitor that Does the Job Well
I bought this monitor to add a second screen to my mini PC. I in fact use it as the primary monitor, since the original one is smaller and older. It works absolutely fine for my purposes. These do not include cutting -edge games or picture/video-editing, so I can’t comment on it from that point of view, but the text and picture look fine to me.
This is my review of the Dell SE2222H – Not any other monitor gathered here!
I was looking for a smaller monitor for my DAW rig with a VESA mount.
I already had 2 lovely (larger & more expensive!) monitors but I wanted a third monitor on an arm to view plugins whilst playing my main keyboard.
This is a cheap monitor – but great value!
It feels sturdy enough and it does have the standard VESA 100 arrangement – despite what some other reviewers say!
I was able to fix a monitor arm to this very easily – see my photo. It comes with the required screws already installed.
If you don’t require the VESA mount, you can blank it off with the included blanking panel.
The picture quality is never going to be as good as a 200+ monitor, but it is pretty good – see my 2nd photo.
Yes, there is some loss when viewed at an angle, but that’s what I would expect for a low budget monitor.
This has 1 HDMI and 1 VGA input (why VGA? it’s 2024!!).
I used a DVI-D to HDMI adapter to take the third output from my graphics card (DVI-D) to the HDMI input on the monitor.
The monitor was recognised instantly by Win 10 and I was able to arrange it to be the third, rightmost monitor in my rig very easily.
I was able to tweak the colour balance and brightness etc to my liking from the graphics card driver software utility.
Overall this does the job well. It’s a low budget monitor with a good name and a nice picture with even illumination.
It doesn’t have built in speakers – thank goodness! I never used the built in speakers in monitors – they never sound good.
Recommended if you’re on a lower budget and want a quality 22″ monitor.

A Good-Quality Monito
I’m enjoying this new monitor, which works nicely for gaming; I am using a rather competitively priced USB powered soundbar with it, also from Amazon of course. The only reason I don’t give it five stars is that fitting the screen onto its stand was a bit awkward, and the screen itself is tilted very slightly forward, though that’s no problem for me as it’s at eye level. I do like the fact that the on/off button, on the lower edge, is an actual illuminated button that one pushes, rather than just a touch-point. Very thoughtfully the shortcut bar includes a link to Amazon, which of course is rather handy!
I bought this 21.5-inch Dell Monitor to use alongside my 32-inch 4K monitor. It is set up in portrait mode to work on documents and for reading. The monitor was easy to connect to my dual monitor arm and it is very sturdy. The control panel on the bottom right-hand side of the monitor allows me to adjust the settings to my preference.
The picture quality on this full HD monitor is excellent. However, I am still attempting to find the ideal setting for a more visually comfortable typing and reading experience. What I find strange is that I cannot focus on the screen for too long when the ‘ComfortView’ feature is activated!
While unboxing this monitor, I noticed that the screen’s protective film was missing and there were smudge marks on the monitor; this is not a new product! For this reason, I will have to scrutinise its performance in case of any technical issues. Aside from that, I can recommend this monitor.
My old one stopped working.. So I purchased this and very happy with it. Easy to use. Good clear screen. Sound quality also great.. can be tilted and adjustable ..I wish there was an option to plug in headphones
Pleased with the size of this monito
Pleased with purchase, already had one so now have the two screens for better visuals as laptop was straining my eyes. Not too big for the desk size. Only thing is that can only tilt, no height adjustment but you could put height boxes under to solve
Good value for money.
Price increased by 25 a couple of days after I bought it, so keep an eye on the price.
Nice sized monitor and QHD generally seems to scale better than 4k for my PC’s.
Buttons are bit fiddly, but thankfully DDC/CI is fully supported, so you can use the Dell Display Manager software to adjust it and switch between different inputs with a chosen hotkey.
This is the most useful feature for me and not properly supported by all monitor manufacturers.
There are also a number of useful free 3rd party software utilities so you can share 1 keyboard and mouse and 1 display with multiple computers and Firesticks without needing to fiddle with any buttons or buy any extra hardware.
I’d have liked a USB hub and speakers or nicely integrated soundbar and ability to swivel, but hell it’s at least 100 less than models which do have those features so I can live with that.
I haven’t checked the power consumption, but it does run incredibly cool compared to all my other monitors.

I forgot to say, echoing some previous reviews, I did have to spend some time fiddling with colour settings to make the images acceptable.
I didn’t need to do this on previous U2515H and P2418D Dell monitors.
To start with any white text on a dark background had green edges which made it horrible to look at.
The monitor only has preset modes not full adjust, but Nvidia control panel and WIndows Display Colour Calibration App helped adjust.
Check windows colour filters are not enabled as this will make adjustment even harder than it needs to be.
I ended up with maximum contrast and 50% brightness on the warm setting.
Black is black and no flicker.
Slight pink edge to white text on dark background is bearable, but I can see why a designer might lose their mind.
Having said that it performed all the Passmark Monitor Test program tests pretty much perfectly, so maybe the bleed is caused by Windows font rendering settings, I’ll keep searching…
The font smoothing setting made no difference either way.
I don’t think QHD would be good enough for any larger than 27 inches up close, might explain some of the negative comments from 32 inch purchasers.
Great screen for home working.
I have two of these screens and they are brilliant – working from home on a laptop has been transformed by having a pair of screens to plug into. Great big screen with perfect screen quality. Good value for money I would say. No issues in over a year – very happy with my purchase.

A nice scree
This screen works as expected. It’s not the best screen I ever used but it’s perfect for what I need it for and functions well as a second monitor for my laptop. It’s easy to connect (just plug and play) and a good size.
Really good for home working
I’m using this monitor for remote working, it’s been a few months since I bought it to test to see if its still good and it is great! The screen fits nicely on my desk so I can have a second monitor. The brightness and quality is top!
Excellent monito
I’m really happy with this monitor, the colours are nice and vibrant (but not too saturated, it looks realistic if that makes sense), supports 4K at 60hz so it looks smooth and fast. The only downside is the stand it sits on is a bit short, so you’re looking down at it unless you put it on a small stand. No biggie
All clear and good.
It is a big help to me. I was having trouble reading the text on the laptop screen, even though it’s 15 inch. This screen at 24″ is just about the optimum size for what I want. Maybe, if you want something for games, you may want to get a 27″, but that would be a bit too clumsy for me.
I have so many Dell screens at home and at work, this one didnt last – screen flickering and double vision – tried it on several other PC’s but same result. Let’s see if DELL hold up their end with the 3 year warranty….well its 2 days later and after a few emails, checks and photos they are sending me a parcel today, let’s see what it is, parts or a new screen 🙂
EDIT: Wow a brand new screen !! and the old one back in the same box the next day! Not great that it failed after 18 months but the professionalism of Dell Customer care was very good – no problem – Would feel safe buying more Dell products.
After checking many reviews and product details my final choice was this monitor and although not over large in size fits perfectly on my desk allowing periferals space to work comfortably. I particulary chose the DELL as I have found over many years this brand to be reliable, and as a designer and photographer the colour match is important when editing images and creating graphics. The price was great, and spec well presented on the website. When it arrived was easy to set up and begin WFH with a professional monitor which added to my business remit…hope this helps someone else make their choice of monitor on Amazon UK…

The only thing that is a little annoying is that the
Warranty started in November 2022 and I bought the screen in February 2023 (can be checked on the dell
website with a service tag).
That is the reason that i gave it 4 stars and not 5

Leider lsst der Monitor sich weder in der Hhe noch in der Neigung verstellen, dass habe ich bei der Bestellung leider bersehen. Trotzdem erfllt er seinen Zweck als Monitor fr mein Homeoffice.
Gute Auflsung und sicherer Stand
Here’s my 2 cents having used it for 2 weeks:
1. The colors are a bit washed out. The dark mode(where everything is black) looks grey on the monitor.
2. The monitor keeps randomly switching off for a few seconds then gets switched on automatically. This happens only when I am watching movies and not when I am working. I was not able to isolate as to what caused this issue.
3. The video freezes on the monitor very frequently for a few seconds.
To sum it up, if you are fine with a bit of washed out colors, the monitor works well if you are going to be using it for work. For gaming and watching movies it probably would not be that apt, since it randomly freezes and that would be very inconvenient.
I purchased this at around March 2021 to work from home and used it for a month and a half before taking a career break. So going off in May and returning towards September, I started using the monitor again and noticed a flickering issue around Dec 2021/Jan 2022. So the screen would go blank and then reappear every 10 minutes or so which became increasingly annoying. I changed HDMI and performed a factory reset but to no avail. I reconnected my 8 year old 22 inch Dell monitor and it didn’t even blink! I suspect there may have been a known issue with the product which is why it may have been discounted. So disappointed as I have never had an issue with Dell. Anyhow spoke to Amazon and performed troubleshooting and eventually gained return authorisation. Now I will be very wary of buying another monitor simply because my Dell HD monitor from 2014 is perfect till this day!
C’est un bon cran d’appoint. Le contraste de 3000:1 mesur par le constructeur est compltement faux l’oeil. Un cran d’iPad 1000:1 le ridiculise sans le moindre effort.
Au visuel, on jugerait le contraste 400:1, autrement dit, les noirs sont gris foncs, a saute aux yeux.

J’ai achet cet ecran car il convenait tout a fait a l’usage demand, pas besoin de plus, il a integr une regie DJ de 4 platines.
seul MEGA bemole, c’est que je voulais en acheter un deuxieme, mais avec 62 de plus la ca calme

It works with my desktop PC
This is a really good monitor. It matches and is the same size as my other Dell monitor.
It is kinder to eyes and does not flicker. It is very easy to set up and the instructions were very used friendly. I really liked that there was a HDMI cable included
Picture quality excelle
After reading all the reviews I nearly didn’t buy it, however contrary to popular opinion it seems well built, picture quality is excellent and as I use it for work it gets 8 hours a day with no problems whatsoever. would I buy another- YES
Great Monito
This came quickly and was securely packed. It was easily set up for I kept the wires of my old monitor in place. I found the instructions rather poor- could be done much better. picture quality is very good and at the moment just a few weeks in, I have no complaints apart from the instructions.
Monitor overall good, slight hiccup.
I was in need of two new monitors but ordered just the one so I could give it a try. I was pleased with the first monitor to begin with and ordered a second one. The second one arrived unusually early (I live in a rural area and items usually take 5 – 7 days to arrive. This one took just 2 days) and was in a bigger box than the last. I opened the box and found a 23.8 inch wider screen monitor instead of the 24 inch monitor that I had purchased previously.
The monitors together are useable but just feel a bit too wide and clunky.
J’utilise cet cran pour le tltravail en remplacement de mon Samsung prcdent qui a rendu l’me aprs 12 ans. J’aime le niveau de contraste et le rendu des couleurs, l’autodetection de la source: HDMI (ordi perso) ou VGA (ordi pro).
A noter le rafraichissement de 75 hz n’est dispo que via HDMI, le temps de rponse est rglable via l’osd (12 ms, 8ms, 5 ms).
Pour la bureautique/home office les 12MS suffisent largement, et pour les jeux (assasin’s creed origin, civilization, Doom eternal) le 8ms est tt fait satisfaisant.
Livraison parfaite en – de 24H et livreur trs aimable.
NB. comme la plupart des crans de ce type il n’a pas d’enceintes intgres.
La priode pour le remboursement Dell de 40 tait valable pour les achats du 01 au 15 dcembre 2021 ce qui n’est pas spcifi sur la page Amazon et devrait tre retir car publicit mensongre, je vais faire une rclamation.
Good but not grea
I bought this because it had good reviews. The quality isnt as good as I hoped for but again we get what we pay for. Overall its alright but could be better if the height was adjustable and quality was better.

I was worried after ordering and then seeing reviews saying sent back because no VESA mount. Behind panel, 4 screws, remove these and use M4 bolts to add your bracket. Pictured here with my bracket, obviously monitor doesn’t come with one.
Good for the price
Good for the price, but I do find that there is sometimes a lag, although not sure if thats because of a using i’m using a macbook to connect with!
Brilliant monito
Brilliant monitor. Mine Samsung died suddenly so I just made a quick Google search “27 inch monitors 2021 benchmark and it came as top one, so I bought it and I don’t regret. Also using it for gaming and it fullfill my expectations.
Excellent Monitor for the price
I really like this monitor for the size, picture quality etc., but am a trifle disappointed it doesn’t have any speakers, but the picture is great, and I can use it with my two computers plugged – one in VGA, and the other in the HDMI, and I use the on screen menu to switch between the two.

Wer ein super sattes farbenreiches Bild erwartet , wie z.B. einem 400 Monitor des gleichen Herstellers,

Fr Office Kram auf jeden Fall brauchbar , Reaktionszeit lsst sich auch auf “extrem” stellen , was auch immer das lt. Datenbaltt Dell sein mag.
Monitor wackelt leicht wenn man die Bedienknpfe drckt ( soll heissen die mechanische Anmutung ist jetzt nicht super solide).
Ich habe 1 Pixelfehler , zum Glck ganz am Bildrand , sonst wrde mich das mega nerven.
Fragt man sich ob der Preis aufgrund von Pixelfehler/B Ware zustande kommt, hat da jemand die gleiche Erfahrung gemacht?
Allerdings ist (war) der Preis gut da htte man gleich 2 kaufen sollen/knnen.

Very happy. Bought for a warehouse and work perfectly well for that. No graphics work so cannot judge that but for admin of our business, perfect.

Wanted a bigger monitor for work from home. In my opinion, 27 inches is just right for me. Mind you this is not 4k, or high refresh rate gaming monitor. But a really good HD monitor, which is perfect for my work. I don’t do gaming, and all the movies I watch, is on the living room 4k TV. Very happy. There is another model from DELL, with a thinner bezel, which looks better, but costs more. This one was on a huge discount, so a no brainer for me.
Good budget scree
The screen is fine for the price I paid (around 110). It’s nothing special, it does the job. If you work in design or want it for gaming, I’d probably swerve this and opt for something higher budget. The screen quality is good, but a little grainy. I use it for work and it will suffice, but I’ll be looking to upgrade.
Vibrant colours
I got two of these monitors for my Intel Nuc desktop PC. The colours are really vibrant – not as good as an Apple Retina display but certainly approaching that quality. The Nuc (running Linux) recognises both automatically although I did need a USB-C adaptor for the second monitor as the Nuc only has one HDMI out. I’m very happy with my purchase.
Use the HDM cable
I used the other cable in the beginning and it was glitchy. Loosing connection and changing the colours. Some how it was too heavy or not connecting well at all. I was quite annoyed. And was considering to return the monitor. Then I decided to give it a one last chance and changed the cable to HDM and it works perfectly. Have not had any issues since.
Dell 2422 Great value for money
quality Dell screen that is perfect for the home work set up, running it along side a laptop as a 2nd screen. very happy with the quality and performance so far.
