Battery lasts about a week. Heats up super quick and blades give really close shave. I miss the vibration of Gillette Fusion Power on it though.

Any bloke of an age who loves shaving stuff will have gone through all the gillette razors as they were released and each one certainly was better, Mach 5 better than Mach 3 for example. This new Gillette Labs shouldn’t bring anything new to the industry but it does. It is by far the closest shave of any of their modern day products and the heated element, the new tech which should be a gimmick, isnt. It is actually awesome on the face. Somehow soothing and warming and really makes a difference. If its too expensive for you fair enough. If you love your shaving and think it expensive, that’s all true, but for me it’s worth every penny as its the best modern day razor and blade I’ve ever experienced. Good know how the heated blade makes such a difference to a shave, but it damn well does, try it for yourself.
Have waited a month before leaving a review and must say this razor has exceeded my expectations.It took my face around a fortnight to get used to this razor and for it to be a great shave but everyone will be different as my skin is sensitive.I’m still using the same original blade after 1 month of daily shaving and I reckon I’ll get another two weeks from the blade going by the blue line on the blade which is exceptional because with my fusion 5 razor blades I was lucky to get ten days so in the long run this razor will pay for itself many times over.There is two heat temperatures to choose from and I prefer the lower heat but again everyone will have their own preference but all in all I get a very smooth shave with no rash so if you’re thinking about purchasing one my opinion would be go for it,you’ll be pleasantly surprised and if you use Gillette razors this one will be so much more cost effective in the long run.
however, the exfoliating bar did provide some irritation for me – something to keep in mind if you also have sensitive ski
I started by looking at high end electric shavers, some as much as 400.00!!……but even at that price range the reviews were awful, could not find one at any price with good reviews.
I then looked at my existing Gillette shaver, a simple three bladed shaver that gives me a clean shave every time and never lets me down….based on this I decided to look and see what else Gillette had to offer.
The heated shaver by Gillette is a fabulous piece of kit.
Well made, comfortable, lovely grip.
Slightly heavier than the standard razor which give a reassuring feeling of quality.
The blade head swivels giving me a perfect shave every time.
The heater works perfectly, heats instantaneously, and you feel the warmth against your skin.
It comes with a nice charging base, plugs in on a two pin shaver point, razor stands in in magnetically.
I bought the razor from Amazon because its selling at half the price it is selling for on the Gillette site?
Regarding the cost, its very cheap if you compare it to a good electric shaver, its very expensive if you compare it to a standard shaver…….

I love this razor, although it needs frequent charging the shave is comfortable and close, completely comfortable to hold and the heat on max is just right, I shave 2-3 times a week and after 3 months I am still comfortably using the first blade
Excellent heating shave, it’s closer, the razors last 3 times longer, so even though more expensive it pays in the long, wouldn’t go back to the little razors now,
This is the new daddy of all wet razors. It’s a pleasure to use. Now who would of thought that about shaving.

Got this for Father’s Day and it feels just like a hot shave from barbers
Gives feeling of warn massage, if you can afford higher price that it’s good and give some confort
But you should lower your expectations as it’s not Revolutionary it’s just a small improvement that is mostliky not worth price
The results are exceptional. However it is not quite as soothing as hot towels. I wonder if Gillette have kept their best blades for this razor. They are very expensive, but shave closely and well
Over the years I’ve probably tried every cartridge razor on the market and most of the DE ones also. This heated razor from Gillette is the smoothest, most comfortable shave I’ve ever had by far.
I have several blade shavers and have to admit this is the best of the bunch. Always do a double pass shave ( first downwards and second up). This saver is a warm smooth shave and end result is excellent, providing a very smooth face well into early evening. Downside is cost of shaver and especially blades, time will tell.
I bought this as a treat for myself as I have found my experience of shaving to become mundane. I therefore decided to buy this product to allow me to enjoy shaving again.
It is firstly, super easy to charge and very portable to get around, with a carry round case, meaning that it is ideal for travelling.
Upon using, the heating option for the razor feels amazing. It genuinely feels like a hot towel with every stroke. Like with all Gillette razors, the quality of the actual razor is second to none and I feel assured that given this is a durable product, it has a long life and will pay for itself over time. Post shave my skin was very smooth with no irritation. All in all would recommend.
I decided to take the plunge after deliberating for a while and must say I am pleasantly satisfied. The razor came well packaged, much like a quality smart phone. It has a high quality feel about it and nicely balanced. My first shave using this was good, the heat from the razor gives you a pleasurable surprise and overall gives a close shave. Since then, the more I’ve used it, the more satisfied I’ve been. No nicks or cuts so far. The only drawback is the price. Of course, it’s a lot of money for a razor and for the blades but if you’ve a spare few quid in your pocket then I’d recommend giving this a go.
Firstly I will say that I find the shave from this razor to be be a great quality shave. It’s close, effortless and feels smooth. The heated blade does help with the quality of the shave helping the blade glide smoothly on my face. However wether this is substantially better than my old technique of just running the blade under a hot tap between strokes I am not so sure. It does however make it easier to shave in the shower if you are inclined to.
A couple of improvements I would like to see are a better battery life 18 minutes for 6 hrs charge?? Also why not include a travel case as part of pack, why not have a stand and travel case?
That aside the razor as mentioned is a good close shave, blades are more expensive than a standard blade but nothing that will make your eyes water.
Overall pretty happy with my purchase.
This is a premium product at a premium price. I had high expectations and am happy to say I wasn’t disappointed. The heated blade is a real game changer. I have sensitive skin and usually have some discomfort if I don’t shave for a few days, but this wasn’t the case. I went for the high heat which gave me a smooth and close shave. Really impressed.
I was happy with the quality of the shave with the product and having the heat on the razor made it more comfortable as I shaved. The price of the product is quite expensive when you look at other razors that are on the market but you do get that premium fill with this product. It is nice to hold and glides against your skin nicely. The blade did not cut my face. I was overall happy with the shave and like the feeling of the heat on my skin.
This was my first Movember so I wanted to treat myself. The shave was by far the best I have had outside a barbershop. I had a ten-day beard so I expected the experience to be quite a struggle but it wasn’t.
First, the razor comes in smart packaging similar to the one you get with an iPhone so it really makes a good first impression. It makes it ideal to gift. Second, the machine itself looks and feels like a well-made luxurious device. The charger base looks sleek and modern although it was a bit heavier than I expected.
Before shaving, I charged it for about an hour. Once it was ready to use, I turn it on and found out it heated up pretty quickly: in less than 10 seconds. I used regular foam and purposely prepared the sink with cold water to really test the heating capability. Even after submerging the razor in cold water, the temperature came back up quickly.
Now the shaving: I could feel the warm feeling even on a longer beard than I would have usually had; it was powerful but without getting too hot. The heat made it less of a struggle to shave against the grain With each go, the razor kept the same temperature, which made it a quick shave. I would only stop to rinse and immediately continue.
In conclusion, the razor does perform better than any other I had tried but what I enjoyed the most is the constant warm feeling on my face. There is just something soothing about shaving with heat.
The Gillette labs heated razor was a special treat to myself as an early Christmas present. It’s more than I would normally spend on a wet razor however I was intrigued by the heat function it offers.
It came beautifully packaged in a secure box along with a unique wireless, magnetic charging dock. The only issue with the charger is that it’s 2 pin like electric toothbrush chargers and requires an adapter unless you have the specific outlet in the bathroom.
On first use after charging, I saw it has two heating settings depending on your preference. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of shave I managed. I thought the heat function would be unnoticeable and wouldn’t offer much, but it really helped!
Shaving has become a more unique experience for me now.
It was really easy to set up, charge and use. I particularly liked the heated warming bar which I felt gave me a more comfortable shave which has left a much smoother feeling than I have had with other Shavers! Great product!
I have been using Gillette products for years but this is by far the best. The heated razor on it is fantastic and its glides through your skin without a problem, your skin feels super smooth after as well. Very easy to use. Its also very well packed and feels like a very premium product. Highly recommend.
I found this product to be very well made and it certainly adds a little luxury to the every day taks of shaving. I used to use a Mach 3 and found the extra blades in this razor a real bonus.
The heated part cannot be felt around the neck but when shaving the cheeks and lip area it is very warm and does feel like a hot towel shave.
Great product the heating feels like having a hot towel shave. Amazing how close the shave feels compared to other products. Rechargable is great and good stand to charge in. Product is a bit expensive but great, the only other down side is they have to be Gillete Labs blades.
Wasn’t sure if this razor would live up to the expectation, but I was pleasantly surprised!
The heating feature was the main reason for purchasing, as wanted to recreate the hot shave experience at home and it felt brilliant.
I really like the wireless charging, certainly adds to the overall feeling of this being a premium product. Can’t recommend it enough.
The heat bar is really nice and comforting, really likw how you can adjust the temperature if its not to your liking. the blades are especially good and sharp and cut easily with each pass. the unit has a good weight to it and feels a quality product.
I really like the two temparture settings, it allows a change if my skin is feeling particularly sensitive one morning while still giving the experimence of a hot wet shave from a professional. Well done Gillette for making an incredibly product. This will be the future of personal shaving
A nice touch from Gillette, however, more of a gadget mans razor. You get 5 blades, a fancy box and the charging kit included. The razor has a water proof warming bar which you can select how hot you would like your shave, you can feel the good quality from the word go. The design is really cool and it looks the piece. You can shower anywhere as its fully water proof. I feel it is more of a Gadget than an essential as it does all the same things a normal razor does, however if you can afford to spend this amount on a razor then why not? I really like how comfortable it is when shaving, I feel like it doesn’t pull no where near as much as my other razor and I think the heat helps this, it feels like a hot towel shave every stroke and really does get the results. The docking is magnetic and the charging is wireless. It would have benefited from a UK plug however. The charging dock is neat and looks expensive. It is definitely a nice to have over a need to have, but considering most men have to shave every day, why not treat yourself to something nice.
