Pros:

With a VERY strong Wi-Fi connection and high speed internet, auto upload of files works.
Cons:
To get battery life of approx 1 hour 20, ensure Wi-Fi, GPS are off and brightness set to 20% (which is sufficient)
I gave up trying to get the Bluetooth transfer of files to the app to work. Auto upload of files was the only option other than placing the card into a card reader and saving to my laptop (then, editing with dedicated video software as there is no Windows version of GoPro software).
Using as a cycling camera, my rides are often 2 hours plus. I have bought a spare battery and also an after market replacement door to allow connection to an external power pack.

If buying the GoPro Handlebar mount, measure carefully. Even with the minimum packing, that did NOT fit my road bike handlebars. I ended up buying a ‘large pipe’ mount. Not ideal, but it works. See other reviews for the extra items.
So, the quality of the video swings it for me, but there has been far more ‘discovery’ than I would have liked; I was not prepared to spend time on the phone to tech support to try and resolve the iPhone connectivity issues (but tried all the solutions that were posted on the discussion boards – even when the GoPro Qwik app claimed to have downloaded files, they were not playable. The auto upload to the cloud requires very good network and connection speeds, and of course it requires a subscription, but it did work .
Overall I like it, but it’s a good job I’m persistent and was happy to buy some add – ons.
Als ich die Kamera eingerichtet habe, war ich berrascht wie einfach und problemlos das geklappt hat. Ich habe die Kamera mit meinem iPhone gekoppelt. Das ging sehr schnell.
Die GoPro 8 lsst sich auch per Sprache steuern, sehr praktisch, wenn man die Kamera am Krper befestigt hat.
Man kann die Sprache fr die Sprachsteuerung unabhngig von der allgemeinen Spracheinstellung der Kamera whlen.
Hat man z.B. zwei Kameras, bei denen das Men “Deutsch” ist, kann man eine der Kameras in Englisch oder jeder anderen Sprache ansprechen.
Beide Kameras mit der gleichen Sprache zu steuern, wrde nmlich fr Chaos sorgen.
Ich habe die Kamera hauptschlich fr Videos angeschafft. Die Bildstabilisierung ist super. Man knnte glauben, dass bewegte Aufnahmen mit einem Gimbal stabilisiert sind.
Dann gibt es noch einen Modus fr Fotos und einen fr Zeitraffer Videos.
Beides auch gut zu nutzen.
Sehr cool finde ich, dass aus den Videos, die man aufgenommen hat, auf der Smartphone App ein automatischer Film dazu geschnitten wird. Das ganze sogar mit Musik auf den Takt geschnitten.
Whrend der Aufnahme kann, man Stellen markieren, die unbedingt in den Film reinsollen.
Aber auch ohne markierte Stellen gibt die App sehr ansprechende Filme aus.
Man kann unterschiedliche Musik und unterschiedliche Themes fr den Film whlen. Auch die lnge des Clips kann man variieren.
Das spart sehr viel Arbeit.
Ein Clip zum Teilen ist so schnell erstellt und im Netz verfgbar.
Sehr praktisch ist auch die Mglichkeit, sich verschiedene Presets fr alle mglichen Aufnahmesituationen anzulegen.
Einstellmglichkeiten gibt es ohne Ende.
Wenn man sich vorher schon ein wenig mit dem Thema befasst hat, bekommt man sofort sehr gute Ergebnisse.
Ich habe mir als Zubehr noch den passenden Media Mod zugelegt.
Wenn Ton und Sprachaufnahmen wichtig sind, ist das Teil sehr zu empfehlen.
Ich bin von der Kamera echt begeistert. Es ist fr mich die perfekte Ergnzung zu Smartphone und DSLM.
Dank der geringen Gre und Gewicht kann man die GoPro immer dabei haben.
Zu empfehlen ist das Ausschalten der vorderen LED. So kann man ziemlich inkognito in der ffentlichkeit Filmen, ohne gro Aufsehen zu erzeugen.

Was waiting and waiting for a GoPro. Amazon Friday delivered and this came on offer. Love it!
Had a few holidays booked and wanted to take some footage no matter the terrain or weather and wanted something other than my phone as good as it is!
I am so happy with my go-pro and all the the kit it came with!
This is now in my bag most weekends for trips away, it’s our go to for capturing all of our travel memories!
Honestly if you have ever considered buying one…believe me you will not be disappointed
Just remember to grab a couple of decent sized (class 10) SD cards…all that glorious footage needs to go somewhere to live until edit!
The GoPro hero 8 black is a great camera but after using it for a few months the front screen doesn’t work and I do t know how to get a 4K photo.
Good product , but returned due to son changing mind on his requirements , refund took nearly three week though
Bought for grandson who loves it and has used it often for all sorts of events
