We’ve had about 3 dishwashers over 15 years and being in a busy house, they do tend to get run into the ground. Our last one was a John Lewis branded Indesit (I think) machine and cost more than this one several years back. So my immediate comparison is with this previous machine. I had looked on the JL site but couldn’t quite find a machine that would fit in our kitchen (colour-wise) at an acceptable cost. So making a choice on colour is quite superficial though the number of place settings was important with a few washing programmes from ‘quick’ to ‘super hot’ running a few hours.
Having lived with the machine for a few weeks now covering the Christmas day dinner dishes I can say it does what it’s meant to do. It washes dishes and cutlery well. It’s possible to load up lots of plates in the bottom and pans in the top and various other odd shaped cooking dishes squeezed in at various angles. Initially I was using the recommended 1.5 hour cycle then found the 39 minute rapid cycle did a good job. It doesn’t seem to dry the dishes that well though I’m just happy that they come out clean and with a small wipe get packed away. So much easier than washing up in the sink.
The overall construction is fairly light (in comparison with my previous dishawashers) though I guess this is reflected in the price. I was able to move it around very easily in the kitchen and plumb it in. We paid for the ‘unpacking’ and ‘removal of old appliance’ service and this worked well – saved me a trip to the dump and hopefully the old appliance will get recycled somehow.
Reading the instructions was slightly ‘heavy-going’, they are not very ‘read-able’ in their layout. Sure all the info is there, though just looking for particular detail is not easily findable. As with any new appliance trying to understand what all the buttons do and what combination is needed, plus the various indicator lights, does take a little time and patience. I haven’t used the wifi feature so no comment on that.

So overall, yes, very pleased with this dishwasher for the price, the ordering and delivery service as well.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe machine washes the crockery and cutlery very well, and the controls are easy to operate.
I note that although it is a Hoover, it was made by Candy, hopefully in Italy and not by some poor Uighurs.
Although I have no idea why I would need to operate it from my phone, curiosity led me to install the Hoover app. What a joke that is – the bluetooth only works on 2.4GHz, and will not allow you to enter a special character in the password. So if you use special characters as I do, forget it, you can’t connect. As this machine has wifi and bluetooth etc, and as I have not changed its internet settings, presumably some blokes in North Korea now know how dirty our dishes are.
