Strong Stainless Screw Fixing( no rattle or pole movement) . Rigid Wide Dia Tubes. If you want something for a Tarp or Awning these are probably the best. They are not light, and dont fold up small so not for back/bike packing (mine are in my campervan). They also have limited adjustment, so you can only choose height by the number of poles you use (normally 3 or 4) so not truly telescopic. Perfect in a car or on the back of a motorbike, but you wouldn’t want to cart them up hill on a hike. Sturdy, well made, and look cool to boot!
These are well made, think a cross between some of the aluminium poles on amazon in the at the tops are the same, but made with nice quality stainless tubing and with nicely made anodized aluminium or alloy fittings, they lock solid and as long as the stated length is long enough and you don’t want to carry them up a mountain (as they are a little bit heavier and the sections are longer) they are great. I wanted something good quality to hold up a tarp with my roof tent and these are perfect, slightly more expensive, but they appear to be worth the extra money. The carry bag isn’t great and they don’t come with guylines or tent pegs. I knew this already, but these are premium poles and I’m happy with them, time will tell water te extra investment was worth it.
