360-degree lighting. Extremely useful and easy to use.
Pros:
This LED camping lantern is extremely useful during an emergency situation such as (a power cut). It came with two items. I put one in my emergency essentials box. It is multifunctional too. You can use it outdoors for walking, camping, or even a Halloween decoration. It is lightweight too and has no buttons. The brightness level is ok but not extremely bright. However, it provides 350-degree lighting … not focused/pointed lighting as in a flashlight. The price is good for 2Pcs
Cons:
Although the quality is good, it is not that durable. I am not sure if it is shockproof or not, but I do not think it can handle shocks.
Brigh
When I got this, I didn’t realise that there would be 2 in the pack. So I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. Very handy and so easy to use. I have one in the cupboard in a stashaway emergency bag. And the other is in the cupboard just sitting there for when I need to find something inside. Light is very bright. Nice and compact. Very good quality.
Bargain of the century
These are brilliant. Definately the Bargain of the century. You get two lights for 15.99. These are very robust for something that feels very light although not cheap feeling. The batteries (not supplied) go in the base. Then to turn on the supper bright LED lights within the lantern, just pull the two handles or top of lantern upwards. It automatically comes on. To turn off the light, just close it back down again. With the many power cuts happening now, these are ideal for use in the home. Also ideal for camping, working outside on your car in the dark, etc. I like these so much I have ordered another pair.
Great for power cuts
Definitely a must to have handy in case of power cuts (which we all might soon be facing) plastic does feel on the cheap side but the led light is good for lighting up a sizeable area, you need to supply your own batteries for this (as with most camping lamps) so I would keep plenty handy just in case, reasonably low price and I would definitely recommend
Perfect for outdoors
You get two lanterns in the box.
These are simple to use just unscrew the bottom (no tool needed) insert 3 x AA batteries and you have a very bright light source.
Unscrew the top and the is enough space to store spare batteries inside.
They are waterproof and collapsible for easy storage.
The lanterns are telescopic so pull up for the light to come on and push down for less light or to turn off altogether. They would be great for camping, caravaning, fishing and many more outdoor activities plus if we were to have power cuts they would be alot better and safer than candles.
15.99 for both is a really good price.
Compact and bright, multiple uses
These lamps are light and compact, they don’t take up much room when closed, which also protects the bulbs if they’re bumping around in your bag.
Really simple to use and the clasps that keep them closed can be used as a carrying handle or to hang them in a tent.
Powered by 3 AAA batteries, which are placed in the base.
Simply pull the light up from the base to activate it, the more you open it up, the brighter the light and it is very bright when fully opened, you definitely don’t want to look at it!
Good for camping but also handy for garages with no lights, sheds, lofts and maybe to provide illumination if we do get any power cuts.
More convenient than a torch in certain situations and the price is really good considering you get 2.
Hope you found my review helpful
Very bright and perfect for power cut emergencies
These lanterns arrived in a pack of two. They are lightweight and made of ABS plastic. To operate you simply need to unscrew the bottom of the lamp and insert 3 AA batteries (batteries are not included). The lamp is telescopic so to operate, you simply pull up the top, and to switch off just push it back down again. Couldn’t be simpler !! No buttons, no switches, no problems !
Opinion:-
Easy to operate.
Compact and lightweight
Good value
Very bright when fully extended
Handle means it can be carried/hung up/or supported at an angle
Batteries not included
I can see these lamps being very useful. On occasions when staying in our caravan, there have been power-cuts on site. A lamp like this would have been extremely useful, as we’ve not always had a torch to hand. It is easy to put on, so no fiddling about feeling for buttons in the pitch dark. The light is very bright, but the brightness can be adjusted depending on how far the top is pulled out. I intend to keep one in the caravan and one in the car in case of emergencies.
At the time of writing this review, these lanterns retail for 15.99, which I think is excellent value for a pack of two. Highly recommended.
I hope you found my review helpful.
A bright portable lantern.
The camping lanterns come boxed in a set of two and are ready to go after you insert 3 AA batteries (not supplied) in each.
I like that these lights are bright, and sturdy and have two stainless steel handles so they can be hung up or placed on a table or the ground. The material which is ABS is strong and durable and more than suitable for camping and hiking in the countryside in the dark. It can withstand light rain. They are switched off by pushing the whole light into the base and switched on by pulling the whole light up out of the base. You can also control the height and light intensity of the lantern.
Overall, I’m happy with this pair of lights which I intend to take camping and use in a power emergency.
These are o.k
Build quality isnt the best but ok for the price, the plastic is a bit light weight and some screws that were threaded into the plastic body were stripped when checked.
Dont expect thees to be water proof or even water resistant so dont go using them in the rain.
The lens is clear on the LED’s which means you get dazzled by the leds , these need a diffused cover to be used for camping really as you get kind of blinded by your own light in the dark . not very relaxing around a camp fire or in a tent.
No batteries included
Very bright and easy to use
We always like to have torches available for missions to the garage, coal bin or just random spaces in the dark. Torches often just have a spot light which give me a headache after workimg in the dark for a while so these looked like a good alternative.
This is a pack of 2 lanterns. These are very easy to use. Unscrew the bottom (no tools required), insert 3 x AA batteries, screw the bottom closed. The lantern is telescopic so just slide it open to switch the light on, close it to switch off. I was skeptical that it switched off so i slowly closed it and you can see it switch off. You then have 2 swinging handles for carrying or hanging. The handles can be used to lean it over on it’s side.
You can also unscrew the top for a small storage compartment or maybe for spare batteries at a push.
This gives lots of light. We have a large living room and were easily able to hang this lantern and light the room comfortably. It’s a white/blue type light so gives good visibility. You can control how bright it is by sliding open or closed the lantern. It doesn’t control how much power is used or how bright the lights are lit, it just partially covers or uncovers the lit LEDs.
We’ve used it for a few hours already and the light has held up. It is useful in emergencies or when camping to be able to just insert batteries instead of having to charge. Because this uses LEDs this should be very efficient.
Good quality and value. Recommended
Very compact and portable lanterns*
The camping LED lanterns arrives boxed and requires 3 x AAA batteries (not included). You recieve 2 x lanterns
The lights comes in a nice light, compact and portable size, and can be compacted down into a smaller size when not in use
They take 3 x AAA batteries each, which are inserted into the battery compartment on the bottom of the lantern by turning the bottom off to remove
It’s a simple light to use by extending the LED light upwards with the brightness of the light increasing with the selected height. No buttons are required to be pressed which is handy for when outdoors or camping and not having to fumble about in the dark for buttons.
Although small, the intensity and brightness of the light is decent, it makes it visible to be able to read from a book and see what you’re doing in the dark.
The light can also be hung up with the two wired handles and stays secure whilst up due to how light and compact it is.
Overall these are handy little lights that can be used for numerous purposes including camping, hanging by a front door, being used indoors in a dull room etc. These lights will be handy for me to use in one of our large cupboards that doesn’t have mains lighting. I think the only real downside is that they’re not rechargeable which would have been preferable.
Very bright, lightweight. Ideal for power cuts or camping.
These lights (it’s a pack of two, so it’s pretty good value) are ideal for keeping in your camping bag, or in the cupboard in case of a power cut.
They run off 3x AA batteries, which are not supplied. I have a big stash of rechargeable batteries, but in this case I suggest you put cheap disposable batteries with the lamps so they are ready when you need them.
Several reviewers have suggested that the lamp should have a rechargeable internal battery. That’s a really stupid idea if you think about it for more than a second. These are camping lamps – the clue is in the name – for use in places where you don’t have electricity. Also ideal for use at home in the event of a power cut – which are increasingly likely if the ‘energy crisis’ gets worse. If you don’t have electricity, how are you going to charge up your rechargeable lamp?! Rechargeable batteries tend to lose charge over time when they are not in use, so in this instance, disposable batteries are the sensible choice.
Anyway, with that outbreak of common-sense out of the way, are the lamps any good? Yes. They are telescopic, so they don’t take up much space when not in use. To turn them on, all you have to do is pull the top upwards. Don’t look at it as you do so – the light is VERY bright and will dazzle you.
The spread of light is quite wide. It’s not a beam like a torch, so you can see all that far. It’s more of a globe of light, as you’d expect. It’s bright enough to read by, and it lights up the kitchen enough that you can cook by it – although we have an electric cooker, so we won’t be doing much cooking in a power cut!
The lamps are plastic so not mega-robust. At 16 for two, delivered on Prime, they are priced about right.
Powerful
These lamps are fantastic to keep in the car for emergencies or camping. They are lightweight to hold and to use you pull the top part up. 3 AA batteries are required however the light is very bright and you can see a good distance when using.
The lanterns can be adjusted by how much light you want them to be.
Overall a product for everyone.
Bright light that works well
I got these for working in my shed plus also in case of any blackouts if they happen.
This set of 2 lights are larger than others I’ve got and take 3 AA batteries (not provided).
They have a metal handle on both sides to so you can hang it up if required.
The plastic does feel a bit flimsy but I’ve had no breakages so far despite dropping one of them twice so maybe it’s more durable than it feels.
The light is super bright – perfect for a tent but I use them in my small shed at night and they light up the whole place.
I don’t know how long the batteries will last – I put new ones in and so far I’ve used it for about 4 hours and they’re still going so hopefully they’ll last quite a while.
Two nice and bright battery powered camping lanterns
These two relatively lightweight and battery-powered camping lanterns are ultra-bright indeed! They contain 30 LED lights and are a nice compact design; they measure just 12.5 cm in height and approximately 8.8cm in width (when closed).
To use each of the lanterns, you need to insert 3 x AA batteries (not supplied) into the base, which easily unscrews and then screws back up. Once this is done, you can switch on the lantern by pulling it up using the silver metal handles (folded into the body when not in use); its full height is approximately 18cm (excluding handles) and about 25cm with handles extended. To alter the brightness (dim it slightly) then you can reduce the height of the lantern, and to switch off completely then you close the lantern and fold back in the silver metal handles.
Priced at 15.99 (with a 20% voucher at the time of this Amazon vine review) for two lanterns, these seem a bargain for their brightness and portability. These would be ideal for many outdoor pursuits such as camping as well as for venturing in the garden at night. We are happy with this product and are also happy to recommend.
Cheap, compact lighting for indoors or out!
You can’t go very wrong with this pair of LED lamps at their current price if 16.99 plus a 20% off voucher.
The pull out design makes them compact and way to store and while they do feel like they’re made out of fairly cheap plastic that won’t take much punishment, they should do the job nicely as emergency lighting for indoors or for most outdoor uses.
The lamps are powered by 3 AA batteries (not included) and I think this is my only real gripe – most contemporaries on the market are rechargeable now and that would have been nice to have in the case of these lamps too.
The light given off isn’t hugely bright – I would estimate about a 6ft radius, but they do the job if you’re only needing a little bit of gentle illumination.
Clever design and bright LED bulbs
I love the design of these lamps (two included in the pack) as you slide up the top to turn them on and push down to switch off which makes them very compact when not in use.
You’ll need 3 x AA batteries for each lamp and these (sadly) aren’t included.
Really good design!
A Decent Bright Lamp
A new spin on an old design.
Very bright and powerful LED’s make this a very efficient Camping/Fishing Lamp.
It has a simplistic push down for Off switch and pull up for On.
It is lightweight and durable, it is also splash proof but not completely waterproof.
A decent quality lamp for 16.99 and nice looking.
2 x camping lante
I like these camping lights, they’re extremely easy to use and very bright.
You will need 3 AAA batteries for each light as they’re not included.
There’s no switches you just pull the top up and the light automatically comes on, close it down and it goes off. You can control the brightness by lowering the top.
They can be hung up or free standing
Definitely good for camping and one I’d recommend
A bit pricey but an excellent "power-cut" option.
I received this item through the Amazon Vine programme.
This is a handy pair of collapsible lanterns (do note you get two in the pack, when I read the advertising page I thought you only got one…) that run off three AA batteries which are not supplied.
I have had this type of lantern before and found that they last quite a good while on a set of batteries: of course a rechargeable option would be good to have but that would push the price up a fair bit.
More for emergencies than regular use, they are a cold white light and have only the one setting, they are however quite robust, can be hung up easily and are turned on and off simply by opening and closing them, no fiddly buttons to find in the dark.
Retailing at 16.99 they are a bit pricey as a quick Amazon search shows very similar items for 12.99, so not the best value for money. Other than that, I think these are an excellent option as a “power-cut” option.
Cute little lanterns
Those lanterns are great, they have a great light intensity, perfect for camps, summer nights under your pergola or as a path light and decoration, unfortunately, they need 3 AA batteries, advise you to use those rechargeable ones.
Love these, very handy and more rugged than expected
These lamps are great, and as my title suggests I was pleasantly surprised at how rugged they are, the bodies of them are made from a stronger material than I thought they would be, they’re also heavier than I expected, but in a good way, more substantial I guess is what I’m trying to say.
The batteries(not included) go in a compartment that’s is easy to open on the bottom, I like the fact that the “Cap/Bottom” has ridges around it, which makes it easier to open and close, it also seems to do up nice and tight keeping the batteries safe.
The 2 handles that fold out from the body are good too, the fact that they are “rounded” means when you open them and fold them up, they actually make a nice wide handle giving a decent hold on the lamp, which I really like.
The action to turn the lamps on is super simple which is great, because it means even with cold hands when camping it’s easy to just fold out the handles “and Lift”, the sliding action on them is very smooth, I wasn’t expecting it to be that nice, there’s no catching, snagging, or gripping, it’s just a clean, smooth, easy motion.
The light itself is nice. They aren’t the brightest lamps I’ve ever seen, but they do spread the light well and fill a room.
Once you consider there are 2x lamps for the cost, I think they are good value, and we will make great use of them while camping.
Good little, tough lanterns.
Well priced and effective lanterns for the size.
For the size of these lanterns you get a lot of light from the LEDs. The build quality is adequate and they are simple to use, just pull them open.
Three double A batteries are required for power, would have preferred an internal lithium to charge tbh.
Would be great for inside a tent , but glare a bit for around a table , would be nice to have a soft mist screen rather than a transparent plastic screen for this.
I intend to use them in my loft as there is no mains light.
For the price there is nothing to complain about here and they do close down small, so great to keep in the glovebox of a car too.
