We had an issue after purchase after the base broke (not a design fault) but the after sales service from Stanley was exceptional and a replacement is on It’s way. Brilliant service!
Did take a little patience to put together but once assembled has proved a fantastic basketball stand. I have teenage boys that play all the time and it has stood up to it. Instructions aren’t the best, bust overall, fairly easy to assemble. Once up, hours of fun and practice.
Great quality stand. Took a little while to put together but was completed by one person. On wheels to move around garden. Very sturdy.
Adjustable height and at max is 10ft.
13 year old loves it and it should get a lot of use!
This does require 2 people to put up and can take some time.
However everything is labelled and clearly marked so there is no guessing which parts connect to each other and which nuts and bolts to use where.

Very stable and seems well made excepting the powder coating on some parts is a bit poor.
We love this basket ball hoop and stand, definitely need two people to put together as it is awkward but not difficult if you are good at reading instructions and following diagrams, just double check you are putting bits in correct positions. In the pack of fastenings, they had not sent a pair correctly, but we still managed ok with the one sent. Very sturdy once base filled with water. As a family we love it and it is used every day. Still has scope to increase height if need be but we have it on a great height for adults, 13 year old and 9 year old.
The product was easy to assemble once I had deciphered the instructions. It is sturdy and easy to move. My son has not stopped using it, just need a new lawn now.

Took 2 people half an hour to build this basketball net.
Once built the net can be adjusted to desired height. Quite a lot variation in height adjustment too.
The build quality is very good and the poles for the stand are very sturdy and solidly built.
I like the fact that this net is spring loaded.
The only thing negative I can give is that the health and safety disclaimer that’s on the backboard is actually painted on and not a sticker. Would of liked to be able to remove this.
Overall very pleased with this basketball net, my sons are loving playing basketball in the garden.
I was very pleased with this purchase. I especially appreciated the numbered parts which helped me to assemble it.
This stand and hoop was relatively easy to assemble (even one person on my own). We have had no problems with the structure falling over, although I placed a heavy cinderblock on the stand just in case. Rim has good spring-back. Not as easy to adjust the height as some models, but not an issue unless you plan to constantly make adjustments. Backboard is solid and a good size. Overall, I’ve been very pleased with this purchase.

Second hoop purchased after first perished and far superior from another brand of similar price. Spent a while researching and happy with decision.
Hoop has spring attachment to allow for movement (previous hoop cracked at joint) and able to adjust height from (what I assume) is full NBA height, really tall) to as low as around 2m. Son loves the fact he can have it low to practice dunk techniques or higher for standard shots.
Sturdy kit and good quality. Back board is made of hard plastic but strong attachment.
Great hoop, would recommend.
(1) the base has a small hole somewhere, so it doesn’t retain the water (and is presumably leaking antifreeze over our garden!). Not a showstopper – I just keep refilling.
(2) the net started fraying – and snapped – within weeks. We keep retying it but it’s a little poor.
(3) one of the struts holding the hoop has failed at the welding joint. After 3 months. I’ve contacted the seller about this as potentially it’s a more serious issue and makes the hoop very flimsy. I’ll post here what the response is.
UPDATE – within a week of raising the broken strut issue and the leaky base with the vendor, I’d received a replacement hoop via courier. They then followed up with me a few days later to make sure I’d received it. Top service – when something went wrong, they jumped to it to put it right. Thank you!
Anyone could dunk this hoop because it’s adjustable, dwarfs and giants can enjoy this hoop. Super fun! You feel like Kobe (RIP) when in the garden shooting hoops… what a feeling (SWISHAROO). You’ve got no fans, just buy the hoop.
Although the previously stated points lean favour towards the positive applications of the hoop, I must add before any accuse of bias in the review, the negative aspects of the review. Firstly, be careful lifting it up as lift too high you will stretch your bi (bicep) trying to catch it. Secondly, I was very happy with the size of it, but the Mrs knows I’m definitely not 6 foot and not very good at basketball, gutted.
All in all I would purchase this product again, but only one more time. Any more than two hoops would be pointless and stupid, so it should never be done :[.

We had a bit of a problem as this product didn’t arrive on time. I emailed and the company said they would despatch another one straight away, which we received within two days.
We then had a problem with damaged poles and they wouldn’t fit together so again we sent an email and the problem was rectified.
The company sorted all problems quickly and efficiently.
It was a bit of a faf putting some of the screws in but we are reallly pleased with it now it is all assembled and give the product 5/5.
It is adjustable and can go higher and very good value for money.
Even after are problems at the beginning I would definitely recommend.
Very sturdy once assembled. Heavy package and a little awkward to assemble (needs two people) but got it set up within an hour and very pleased with it.
Was undecided on ordering it due to some reviews but it’s really not that hard to assemble just slightly awkward to get some pieces in place hence needs to people.

Bought this for my 13yr old son for his birthday and he’s delighted with it. It’s height adjustable so I can sleet it as he grows. It’s nice to see him and his brother outside getting some fresh air and time off the Xbox. Great product, would buy again.
Takes 2 to build but very easy, had to drop it down a peg as it’s very tall – family love it.

It was something reasonably priced that my 18 year old special needs daughter can practice on in between training and tournaments and it it does that very well.
Got this basketball hoop system as a Christmas present, great price, arrived promptly and was easily put together on Christmas Eve so we could display on Christmas morning. Looks amazing, better than online photos and being height adjustable my son can grow with it. So pleased will buy from Northern Stone again.
