Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this toothbrush for my wife to replace another (cheaper) Braun Oral-B toothbrush,
New version has better battery life and is not far away feature-wise from the top of the range models.
I have an Oral-B io toothbrush, having previous had a Genius 9000 model. While the io is a bit better, the Genius 8000 and 9000 are still good toothbrushes. And the replacement heads for the Genius models are cheaper.

If money is no object, consider the Oral-B io range.
But you can’t go wrong with the Genius 8000/9000 range.

That said, my wife would never use the bluetooth and other gadgetry stuff. So cheaper, more basic Braun brushes might also be worth a look.

A word of caution: always shop around for Oral-B toothbrushes. Never pay more than half the RRP. 50% off or less is – or should be – the regular price.
Sometimes a better model is on offer for a similar or cheaper price.

I’d been searching for a new toothbrush for a while so I got this in the Amazon summer sale. It’s outstanding! I love the app because it allows to see where you’re brushing too hard & it gives you a history so you can see your progress.
If you’re willing to spend a little more money on your oral care, this is definitely worth it. The travel case is so handy if you’re going away or need to go hospital.
I would definitely recommend this product.

Toothbrush is great. Far more powerful than previous however I received white heads rather than black which is disappointing and as you can’t seem to contact seller on Amazon I’m feeling a bit disappointed

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersDefinitely feel like my teeth are benefiting from the brush and it stops you being too forceful. It is on the noisy side though and the charge does not last as long as some other brushes. Overall would recommend for oral hygiene

Even though I was using the given phone sickroom holder at the appropriate level the app connected was unable to distinguish between where I was brushing within my mouth. It was extremely misaccurate! The battery life is not great. However I prefer this tooth brush more than a non electric tooth brush and has helped me improve my overall hygiene.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThe toothbrush works as expected. It has a nice battery and my teeth feel clean. If I was just judging the toothbrush I’d give it 5 stars.

The main downside for me is that they include a lot of plastic you will never use in the box that’s so unnecessary. like phone stands, plastic cases, etc. I feel like they could knock a bit of money off the price and sell all those random things separately for the few that want it. For me I would have preferred a nice UK plug socket with this too, rather than the two pronged razor connector that it has (I don’t know if there is some legislation or not as to why they can’t just include a UK socket).

Anyway overall I’d recommend it, it does what it says and i’ve had no problems over the 6 months i’ve owned it. Just hope next time the packaging is a bit less wasteful.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our Users———————————
I’ve decided to leave a more lengthy review as I thought these points may have helped me make my decision to buy this brush a lot easier
    ———————————-

It’s a good brush, I was hesitant with the price but am pleasantly surprised.

As someone who has always used normal brushes and is currently awaiting a dentist after breaking a tooth I love this brush, it’s brilliant for getting in small crevices or cracks that might cause problems (I’ve noticed I have fresher breath throughout the day I can’t imagine what my partner must have been smelling beforehand if I notice the difference myself)

    Contents
    —————
It comes with 3 different brush heads (whitening, sensitive gums and maximised cleaning) which is good if you want to test out the different heads.

I like the charging station it fits very easily into the bathroom holds your separate brush heads in a little case.

The travel case does the job but seems VERY easily broken and I will be investing in something better.

The app is good but feels like it would be much more useful to use for children learning to brushing requires you to be on the app at the time of brushing it won’t do it passively while in your pocket etc.

    Downsides
    ——————
The only downsides are that it is very intense and there’s no setting that is anywhere equal to normal brushing so for the first week I had a little bit of fun bleeding (even with the sensitive gum setting/brush head on).

And the battery life isn’t as good as advertised lasting me around a week maximum per full charge (which is still fine in my opinion just a little misleading).

    —————-
I don’t see any reason to buy any more expensive model than this one as the further additions seem VERY gimmicky and not worth the extra 1-200 pounds.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe principle of having the app to show how well you brush your teeth is great but really doesn’t work. I have to hold the brush at weird angles to get it to register that I’m brushing top left and not top right.
If anything, trying to get the app to register the correct teeth I’m brushing means im over brushing on some sides just to get my 100% to show in app.

The red light for excess pressure is useful.
I like having a tongue brushing feature though it’s not really helpful that the toothbrush will start back again on tongue mode when you brush your teeth again next time.

Battery life isn’t fantastic but I’d imagine the Bluetooth syncing drains this massively.

The app gives you medals and awards for different achievements which is good if you’re driven by this sort of thing.

It’s a good toothbrush overall but I bought it in the Jan sales and I’m pretty glad I didn’t pay full price. The AI needs some work.

Was expecting highly of this item but was very surprised of how poor it was. Battery life isn’t that good, last about 2 weeks before it’s on one bar and going into red. The motion sensor is terrible (not using the stand, as there is no place to fix it), thinks I’m brushing another part of my mouth when I’m not. The modes have to be pre selected through the app and can’t be changed whilst brushing. Heavily discounted item which is good for money, but wish the motion sensor was better and battery life better. Haven’t really noticed my teeth has got any better after nearly a months uses. Has got challenges on the app which is good, but when you’re not seeing any improvement, it’s not that good. Going to see the dentist next Friday (due to covid) so we’ll see what they say and what they suggest!

Love using this. I had a very basic electric Oral B toothbrush I started using a couple of years ago and I thought that was amazing compared to my manual toothbrush. I instantly noticed a significant difference as soon as I used this product. Compared to my previous electric toothbrush, this is a jet!!! It instantly made my teeth and gums feel squeaky clean!!! I really like the features from the pressure sensitivity to the different modes. It was so easy to set up via Bluetooth and the App and makes tracking so much more manageable. I do t use the coverage since I don’t have time in the mornings/evenings to stand in front of my phone whilst brushing. It automatically syncs the data everyone my phone connects to it.

It came with a portable case with space for the brush heads so really glad about that. I previously bought a separate case for my old brushes so this is much better.

I charge it maybe once every fortnight compared to my old electric brush where it was everyday.

I wish that the brush heads that came along with the brush were labelled as the app asks you to choose the type of brush head you’re using. There’s no indication of any names for them so I randomly guessed the type of brush by looking at the tip and trying to match I thought was the right one. It’s not a major issue but would’ve been nice to make things a little smoother in setting up brush heads.

Overall, I’m more than satisfied with this product. I don’t think I’m ever buying another brush. I love all the modes and the ability to track via the app. So simple. I love it. I even recommended this to my family and friends. They seem to like it also.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI was due a new toothbrush after having my previous Oral-B for over 8 years, it lasted me well so decided to upgrade to this one.
The toothbrush fits in the hand comfortable and is a bit slimmer compared to my previous version, the cross action head works well and leaves my teeth feeling really clean after use, the bristles are not hard and I never had any bleeding after first use either.
Using the Oral-B app on your phone to connect your toothbrush to adds another dimension to using it, most of it is a bit of a gimmick to be honest I used it for a few days to change the colour of the light on the toothbrush and to see how I brushed by using the wall attachment and my phone camera but now I don’t bother, it will keep unguided tracking if the phone is close by when you use so you don’t have to load the app every time you brush your teeth!
There are lots of stuff to do in the app if that’s what your into, it links to Apple health also…. one thing I like is a reminder when to change the brush head.
The toothbrush has a few different modes but I usually only use the basic mode, it has a built in pressure sensor also that lets you know if brushing too hard.
Battery does last 2 weeks from full charge to red when using the basic mode and brushing for 2 minutes twice daily.

Lots of different brush attachments to use and it comes in a nice travel case also.

Overall I’m really happy with the quality of the brush it’s smooth when using and feels powerful, I like the added neck colour that you can customise using the app, even if it is a bit gimmicky, what I do miss compared to my old smart toothbrush is the Bluetooth wall clock, I have since just bought a standard digital wall clock to replace.
