5.0 out of 5 stars I can't go back to normal brushing now
Great quality weight and size. Feels like a proper brush too. After using this for over a year I can honestly say it’s hard to go back to normal brushing. It’s difficult to explain but my teeth feel much cleaner with this compared to just normal brushing. The replaceable heads also tell you when it’s time to change brush for best cleaning results.

Charge lasts long although charging does take a while for a full charge to complete.

Loved how affordable this is for a top end electric toothbrush, wish it came with two chargers though but battery life seems to last a long time. Most importantly the head of the toothbrush is small to reach hard to reach spots like wisdom teeth/molars!

Well worth the money when on a deal! Wish I bought one of these years ago. Helped with hurting my gums from manually brushing too hard. Helped to get a much cleaner feeling after brushing as well as keeping brushing time consistent.

Carry care is a bonus thats been quite useful and a good design. Had small holes on top which stops the case smelling or going damp.

Replaced our aging electric toothbrushes with a boxed pair of Oral B Pros. The improvement was immediately noticable and glad we bought these and recommend upgrading. Buying as a pair meant we git great value for money vs buying as singles.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Users5.0 out of 5 stars great cleaning and brilliant battery life
I bought these for my husband and myself, in June, to replace our old Oral B toothbrushes. Not a great deal has changed from one version to the next but a couple of things stand out: the battery life is immense. We took these on holiday and didn’t have the correct plug charger and they lasted for 13 full days and were still going strong. The are also finished in a shinier, smoother plastic finish that the previous ones we had, which were slightly more rubbery in texture. To begin with, i found the new shiner surface annoying and a bit slippy towards the end of cleaning, when covered in spit and toothpaste, but we soon got used to this and i am hoping it doesn’t degrade in the way that our previous toothbrushes did. Towards the end of their lives, the rubber sort of began to perish and come off when being used. It was also harder to keep completely clean over time.
    Love these and would recommend.

Bought theses for me and my husband, was sick and tired of buying batteries. They come with a little charge, and I’ve charged it once since I bought them last month. My teeth have never felt so clean! Would definitely buy it as a gift for a couple.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great brushes!
Bought this as a replacement for another Oral B brush that we had for about 6/7 years. Can’t remember what model it was but these were the better bang for our buck. Great quality so far, love that I can switch the intensity and the light that comes on warning that I’m brushing too hard. Amazing!

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent, effective toothbrushes
In general happy with the toothbrushes, they provide a thorough clean. The charge does not hold however and lasts just under a week, also selecting which type of clean you want isn’t clear which you’re actually using, it may of stated this on the box but I didn’t keep hold of that. I’ve previously had an oral b electric brush and it’s very similar to that one, only difference is the pressure light really.

    So good
Dentist recommended this toothbrush because it has a pressure sensor. Had it a few weeks now and wish I had bought one earlier. Teeth feel cleaner and I love the 2 minute timer built in, it buzzes every 30 seconds so you clean each quarter of your mouth at a time.

    A quality product.
I was impressed with the (made in Germany!) quality of this toothbrush. Does everything it should – we bought additional heads so that my wife & I can both use it.

The only small complaint I have, & the reason I’ve only given it four stars, is the time it takes to charge. A USB charger would also have been useful, especially as it comes with a travel case -one fewer chargers to take on holiday.

    Lovely toothbrush
Lovely toothbrush. 3 speeds (fast; slow and loop), has a red light when you put too much pressure which is very good, battery lasts a good while (depends on the frequency you use but at least 1 week brushing twice a day). The only thing that could be better is that the head is not very soft but then I bought a separate set of soft heads

    Teeth feel much cleaner!
Moved from a sonic clean brand to oral b rotating and feel that my teeth are so much cleaner! The only issue is the battery life, it last a week but feel it’s quickly deteriorating.

    Noisy!
Really really noisy compared to my previous Sonicare brush (sadly Philips don’t make the small brush heads any more so no option but to switch brands), and I don’t think I get as comprehensive a clean with the Oral B. But it’s adequate.

Great clean and long lasting battery
Have owned lots of these brushes.

This lasts about 2 weeks – depending on whether I brush twice a day or not.

Cleans nicely and the travel case is really convenient.

I was worried the plastic would be a bit slippery but it’s actually not a problem.

My only negative is that the power button is a bit fiddly a you don’t press in the right position, but it’s nothing major.

Bought the double set. For me and hubby. Pink and black. The three modes are useful. I leave mine on standard. Long usage before charging. Very good heads. Also purchased packs of heads for both. Good price at moment. The pressure sound is good to make sure you don’t overdo it. Teeth feel clean after use. Better than ordinary brushes.

Cleans thoroughly and reduces plaque formatio
It was my first time trying an electric toothbrush and saw an advertisement of this brush, so thought to give it a try. It does better cleaning than a manual brush. I like the visible pressure control and visually alert you to reduce pressure to protect your gums. What I don’t like is that There’s is no indication when the charging is and no battery status feedback. If only noise could be reduced while brushing. The brush head should be available in choice if extra soft, soft and medium bristles.

Great for receding gums - very pleased with purchase
I have receding gums which were often irritated and inflamed. I went one up on the standard oral b brush and glad I did (I got this on sale too). Using the gum massaging option after brushing nightly has vastly improved sensitivity and the brush was very soft and no harshness to my gums. I have paired with using the regenerate toothpaste (sorry oral b) but this has also vastly improved my gum sensitivity. I’m very pleased with this brush and it also doesn’t splash the mirror like other ones do and slightly quieter. Battery lasts a few days would recommend every 3 days charge as recommended. I would also recommend a water flosser for sensitive gums I found the brushes sometimes irritated more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Teeth definitely cleaner and whiter!
I was a little sceptical of reviews that said teeth were whiter using this toothbrush but it’s true.
This is a great item if there are two of you as you effectively get 2 toothbrushes for just a bit more than the price of 1. It has 3 power modes – standard, sensitive and whitening. They’re as loud as most toothbrushes but it’s hysterical listening to the whitening mode as it sounds like you’ve got a motorbike race going on in your mouth ! You’ll know what I mean if you buy one!! Slightly disappointed that there is no real grip (smooth body) as it can be difficult to grip when it gets wet during use.
Compared to some of the much more expensive oral b toothbrushes this does what it needs to at a good price.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOral B Pro 3 Twin Pack Black
Have always had an Oral B electric toothbrush but have always bought their basic model and have been very satisfied with them. After deciding to upgrade to a better model I decided to purchase the Oral B Pro 3 Twin Pack in black. I have always been guilty of pressing excessively on my teeth and gums so the Pro 3 with the built in pressure sensor was ideal for me and this now allows me to stop exerting so much pressure as it instantly lights up red if you pres too hard. The increased power and speed of the brush is also much more noticeable and the feeling of my teeth compared to my previous basic model is amazing. In the past I have also purchased non Oral B replacement brush heads from the low-cost pound stores but this really is false economy as after only even a week the rotating brush part comes loose and they just do not work properly. Buy the genuine article replacement brush heads
and you will feel the difference. A great purchase and a good price.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersPro 3 is ergonomically weak. Pro 2 was better.
We’ve been using Oral B toothbrushes for a while. They last for about two years. Our last purchase, the Oral B Pro 2 2500 lasted for 2 years. I bought the Pro 3 3500 for 36, so the cost of ownership is around 18 per year, which isn’t too bad. The battery does not last more than 2 weeks as claimed by advertising. Perhaps it lasts 2 weeks if you don’t use it? On the first full charge ours lasted 6 days. That’s for two people brushing on average 2 times a day for 2 minutes. So maybe it lasts 3 days for a family of four. So not as good as claimed, but fine. It’ll last for a few days on a trip without charging.

We bought the Pro 2 2500 for 25 two years ago. Now the Pro 2 does not seem to exist and has been replace by the Pro 3 which at the time of buying is about 50% more expensive. Is the Pro 3 any better than the Pro 2? Functionally it’s about the same, but ergonomically it’s significantly worse. The Pro 2 was nicely textured, so you could tell which way round it was in the dark, and it was easy to feel where the power button was. I struggle with the Pro 3. There is very little textural difference between back and front and finding the power button is difficult. In the photos the Pro 3 is the black brush.

I’m addicted to using electric toothbrushes. They make a huge difference to my dental hygiene. And I’ve always used the Oral B brushes with the pressure sensor, because they’re decently priced compared to the opposition. There’s no need to go to the higher specced Oral B brushes.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersGood all-round eletric toothbrush
Pleased with my Oral-B Pro 3 so far. I bought mine to replace the Oral-B Pro 1, which lasted around 5 years, so I’m hoping for a similar shelf-life from this one. I can tell the difference in brush speeds with this newer model; my teeth do feel cleaner. I don’t notice the noise much – unless late at night, and then I’m conscious of others – but it’s no different from the Pro 1. I much prefer the design of this one, though. It has good grip on the thumb and around the barrel so I don’t worry about dropping it, but without ridges etc it doesn’t pick up toothpaste gunk so is much more hygienic. It’s a small detail, but really makes a difference.

The brush has three speeds, but I’ve only use it on the highest setting so far. You don’t have to cycle through all the speeds to switch off: just hold the button down and it powers off. I chose this model because of the pressure monitor but either I never press too hard, or mine isn’t that sensitive, as I’ve only seen the red light a handful of times. Battery seems pretty good – at least a week so far, and still seems to be going strong.

Comes with a travel case and a spare brush head, which is a nice touch. However, doesn’t include an adapter plug, so keep in mind if you don’t have a 2-pin socket at home to charge from.

I bought mine on sale at around 45, and that feels about right for what you get. I’m impressed with mine, but at RRP I’d be expecting it to do more. I’ve watched a few YouTube videos from dentists on how to brush your teeth properly with an electric toothbrush. It sounds silly, but well worth looking at if you’re investing in a decent brush, which this one seems to be.

Really pleased to receive this toothbrush quickly – and like the extended guarantee. – had earlier versions before they always last well but time to replace as was draining the battery after every use – this one does the trick and seems more powerful too!

    Slippery handle
I’ve had several Oral-B brushes over the years, and most of them have had a rubber like coating over part of the grip. This seems to go sticky after a time and starts to peel away, and I’ve prematurely changed brushes because of this. The Pro 3 doesn’t have this, and I thought “great”, except that the handle is very smooth and shiny now. Every time that I change my grip on the darn thing, I nearly drop it. I can’t understand why the plastic couldn’t have had a bit more of a texture to it. My other gripe – well, it’s a bit noisier than previous models, and for some strange reason, requires two button presses before it will start after removing from the charging base. I do wonder if I was sent a return, since the retail box was rather scuffed and knocked about. Other than these issues, it works as expected for now.

It’s better than I expected and I love timer functionality – it’s much easier not to overbrush your teeth as time flies when you do it 😀
I love the design (white one is better than black one as does not have stains from tootpaste so requires less cleaning).
It’s easy to charge – don’t forget that you’ll need shaver socket or shaver adapter for the plug (it’s not EU one, It’s UK shaver socket sized).

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersMy Experience with this Electric Toothbrushes
The Oral-B Pro 3 3900 Electric Toothbrushes are a great option for those looking for a professional clean feeling every day. The toothbrushes feature Oral-B’s 3D cleaning technology, which oscillates, rotates, and pulsates for up to 100% more plaque removal and healthier gums compared to a manual brush. The toothbrushes also have a smart pressure sensor that visually alerts you if you’re brushing too hard, protecting your gums from damage. The dentist-inspired round brush head cups each tooth for a deep clean, yet is gentle on the gums. The toothbrushes have a battery life of more than 2 weeks with one full charge, and the brush head fades from green to yellow when it’s time to replace it, ensuring 100% cleaning efficacy. This package includes 2 handles with a 2-minute timer, 1 charger, and 2 brush heads. Oral-B is the #1 brand used by dentists worldwide, and the results of using these toothbrushes are clinically proven. Overall, I highly recommend the Oral-B Pro 3 3900 Electric Toothbrushes for anyone looking for a professional clean feeling and healthier gums.

These are great. The 1st I noticed compared to my previous non-pro Oral B electric toothbrush was that this one also vibrates the head as well as rotating which was a bit if a shock at first. I assume this is also effective at dislodging food etc, in addition to brushing.
The battery does actually last 2 weeks as long as you stick to the 2 minute timer.
I also like the red light for when you press too hard. It’s actually good to know that I wasn’t pressing too hard with the old brush tbh as the light doesn’t trigger when I apply the same pressure as I did with my old brush. I also love the black colour.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersAlmost perfect!
Definitely the best electric toothbrush I’ve had yet!

    Pros:
    1. Charge lasts for ages – Would only need to charge it once a fortnight but I brush my teeth for twice as long so charge mine weekly..
    2. Charges fully in a few hours – I charge mine overnight. Far better than my previous Oral B toothbrush which used to take a good 24 hours!
    3. Previous toothbrushes have been at their best for a couple of uses and then quickly weaken. This one stays powerful right up until it needs charging (it starts to flash red and the power drops at the same time indicating it needs charging).
    4. 30 second timers for each quarter of your mouth – vibrates differently to indicate that it’s time to move on. A great way to make sure you’re brushing your teeth for long enough/more thoroughly.

    Cons:
    1. It’s not the grippiest of toothbrushes and gets quite slippery when wet. This would likely be a problem for anyone who struggles with their grip, especially as it is slimmer than some other electric toothbrushes.
    2. When turning it off you have to go through all three of its modes as they are selected using the power button. Difficulty gripping when wet makes it harder to effectively press the button to change modes/switch off. There is also no visual display on the toothbrush.

  43. EllenFryett says:

    Slippery when we
The only flaw is that the smooth surface of these brushes can be hard to grip when wet. Other Oral-B brushes have a dimpled or more grippy texture. Otherwise, a good no-frills brush. Decent battery life.

My dentist recommended getting an electric toothbrush with a round head, and mentioned Oral-B were good. There are plenty of options – some cheaper, some a lot dearer, but these seemed the perfect for us as hubby’s toothbrush needed replacing too. I’m not a fan of pink but the pink is really subtle so I can get over it. I love the 2 mins timer that gives you a change signal ever 30 seconds so you can work on each quadrant of your mouth in turn. I would give 5 but there is no brush head covers or a case for travelling.

Golden Review Award: 71 From Our UsersAn Excellent Budget Electric Toothbrush, With A Few Downsides.
This is my first electric toothbrush in years and I have to say that I’m very impressed, especially for the money.
My review is broken up into four parts; initial impressions, usability and battery life, features, pros and cons.

    – Initial Impressions:
The toothbrush is packaged well, perhaps a bit too much cardboard for my liking but it wasn’t too egregious, and it was easy to remove the toothbrush. The toothbrush feels well made, despite the glossy plastic, and the replacement heads are easy to install.
One issue I have is that the toothbrush is very loud (especially on the whitening setting), leading a bit of paranoia that I’m going to wake up my significant other when I’m brushing my teeth late at night.
Overall, for what I paid, I’m very happy with the overall impression that the toothbrush gives.

    – Usability and Battery Life:
I found the toothbrush very easy to use, the single button might be viewed as a negative by some, but I like the simplicity, it is a toothbrush after all. In a similar fashion, the lack of bluetooth and app-integration is also a plus for me, I wouldn’t want to pay for features that I wouldn’t use for more than a week.
The included timer is also very useful, offering a vibration every 30 seconds to let you know when to swap over to another part of your mouth, for someone who often drifts off when brushing my teeth, this little jolt proved to be very handy.
The final useful feature is the pressure light, which glows red when you are pressing too hard with the brush. This is in order to prevent damage to gums due to too much pressure being applied. I found it very easy to find the ideal pressure after a few brushing sessions, but the light is still useful nonetheless.

Battery life is stellar, one of the main reasons I switched from an electric brush to a manual one four years ago was the annoyance of having to charge the brush every few days, especially when I didn’t have a 2 pin razer charger in my bathroom.
This is not an issue with the Oral B, the battery life easily lasts two weeks and the brush charges fully overnight.
Unfortunately it didn’t come with a 3 pin plug, which means I need to use an adapter to charge the brush, but that’s not a big deal.

    – Features:
As this is a budget brush, it doesn’t come laden with functionality, only sporting 3 modes and no bluetooth or app-integration.
The three modes that are included are: whitening, daily clean, and sensitive.
I personally just use the whitening mode which is the most intense mode, as my teeth aren’t overly sensitive, however I can definitely see the usefullness of the other two modes for those who would prefer a gentler clean.

    – Pros and Cons:
    Pros:
Very reasonably priced for an electric toothbrush.
    Excellent battery life.
Easy to use with single-button operation.
    Useful pressure warning light.
Three options for strength of cleaning.

    Cons:
Only one charger included in the dual pack.
The charger only has a 2 pin razer plug.
Very loud, especially on the whitening setting.

Overall, this is a great option for someone who doesn’t want to shell out for a feature-laden brush, but still wants the basics done well. If you’re bothered by a loud brush then I’d steer clear, but for the vast majority of people, this is a great option.

If you found this review, please considering clicking the “helpful” button at the bottom of this review, cheers!
