Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat for the price
Been using power A enhanced controllers for years now on my PC. This one feels like a nice step up from the more basic enhanced ones. RGB is nice I guess. Only issue is the company no longer hosts firmware downloads and they don’t explain how to calibrate your controller to get the trigger locks working, look up a guide on YouTube !

    Imperfect but Reasonably priced alternative
Bought this as a replacement controller.

Had it a few months and it’s been good to use. The only issue I’ve had so far is stick drift.

A quick Google of powera stick drift comes up with quite a few results, and solutions.

It’s not really bad but slightly annoying. I wouldn’t pay over 40 for i

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersLT and RT trigger faul
So far had 3 of these, and each on after a few months of use , the LT and RT triggers snap.
    Stick drift occurs quickly.
Other functions are great and work well.
Really like the multi button options on rear, and the functionality of lighting settings.
Read so many reports of this LT/RT snapping issue, was hoping it would be fixed by now. Trouble is , they are plastic fitting , not metal. If they change the component to a metal fixing problem would be solved.
Now need to look for another controller, to replace these faulty ones.

Stopped working this month, just Stopped functioning, I need a replacement , many thx
My son just told me it stopped working, I only bought it in August ending, very disappointed it stopped functioning till now. How do I solve this? Its meant to last longer. A controller should last longer, makes me doubt its quality and value for money.

    Would buy again!
Very suppressed with this one. It has a nice weight to it and the finish on it feel nice on your hand. Button and sticks feel very responsive. Cannot say a bad thing about it. And the price is very good when you look at the alternatives.

    Worth the buy
This solves what I find the number one obvious issue with microsofts xbox controller. the usb port. the design is a poorly thought out design. With this controller not only doesnt it have a a click in saftey slot to comfortably and securely hold it in place. it comes with a braided cable and led. extra buttons , macros which can be assigned to your preference. Twin stick can be calibrated to responsiveness. and overall it jsut nice feel and look. recommend this over the standard controller everytime.

    Beautiful controlle
I always enjoy technology with build in LED.
From the moment you plug in this controller it fills up with life.
Each part of it can be programmed to have a different colour, light level and option to be breathing or solid.
It also features the power a back buttons which are just as easily reprogrammable making gaming much easier.
After using power a controllers I cant use original ones anymore as I just love the feel and benefits of using such a good brand of controller.

    It's Good
So, I bought this controller, and it’s actually very good with some nice additional features.
Such as the RGB backlighting, the trigger lock offs, etc.
However, like some others have mentioned. They seem to fail fairly fast.
I had to order a second one, 8 months after my initial purchase as the left shoulder button
stopped working. But, then, perhaps it was my fault.
So, I’ve docked 1 star opposed to 2. Just incase it was my fault opposed to the controllers failure.

    It is indeed a controlle
Been using this for a few months and its pretty great, adjustable trigger resistance is a nice touch and rear buttons are a must for me now. Programming the lighting takes some getting your head around

    Great controller, one small niggle
This is a great 3rd party controller. Although having it wireless would be nice, comparitively for the price, being wired works perfectly well. This controller has a feeling of weight and heft to it and the face has a really smooth ‘silky’ finish with the numerous LED options finishing off the product nicely, all of which suggest high quality product. My one complaint, however, is the shoulder buttons (LB/RB). Although they work fine for quick pressing, holding them requires are larger amount of sustained pressure than any other controller I have used. It’s not to the point of pain or discomfort, but the slightest decrease of pressure can cause the buttons function to cease. This can be remedied by simply altering your gaming habits a little, but is nevertheless a little bit frustrating for an otherwise great controller.

Fantastic except for the D-PAD issue 😩
Looks great, feels great, a nice braided cable, and my favourite thing is that the USB-C plug locks into the controller to prevent accidental disconnection.

Out of the box and brand new the UP function on the D-PAD doesn’t register correctly unless I apply extra pressure, all of the other directions work with a regular press as normal though, navigating menu’s in-game is an annoyance and it’s hard to ignore now that I’ve noticed it.

Other than that it’s actually the best wired controller I’ve ever used, they should test these a little more extensively before shipping, it seems there are a few issues arising for many other customers.

    Drifting…
Lights are cool and all but it’s started drifting slightly after a couple months. I think this is common with Power A products, however.

not an elite but not bad
what can i say it is a really solid controller the less is nice the extra buttons can be mapped with the elite app and the trigger sensitivity is a nice feature the stick has no drift and I have used it solid for a couple of months now it’s just a well-built controller not much more I can say about i

    Great Controller for the price.
I got this controller because the xbox wireless ones were sold out at the time and thought I would give this a go.
It is a very good controller to use and the back buttons and trigger stoppers a nice option.
The only bad points I have found with the controller is that the triggers feel very cheap imo and the D-pad isn’t the best as you can easily press up or down when your trying to press left or right.

Superior controller for PC [xbox alike] BUY Wired, don't bother with bluetooth 4.0 or 5.0 on PC
Only had it a weak but I also only had the xbox 1 controller a week before I sent it back, this PowerA Spectra Infinity Enhanced Wired Controller I’ll be keeping. It;s a FAR superior experience.
And here’s why : the official Microsoft XBox 1 controller bought for pc gaming, also required me to buy an additional Bluetooth 5.0 adaptor & rechargeable batteries. A total of 78!! But it felt well built, pity it didnt work as well.
Multiple failed key presses or key presses resulting to infinity presses or stick movement would literally “stick” and continually rotate the characters view or have them walk without anything pressed – you might say “low battery” – I had rechargeables that I swapped the moment the 1st pair were fully charged (luckily I already owned 2 excellent expensive chargers else that would have brought the price up beyond the Elite controllers price) Anyway this is a review about the “PowerA Spectra Infinity Enhanced Wired Controller” (with a warning not to but the microsoft wireless controller – i’m sure they work fine with xboxes? BUT if you need a controller for Elden Ring, buy this!, the 10 foot wire insures no need for extensions, the lighting is actually useful, the additional 2 underside remappable buttons are no gimmick, really useful !! great for remapping the stich/hat presses instead (had the 4 button powerA version had leds I would consider buying that but the leds maych my corsair k95, mousepad, pc, leds strips & scimitar mouse all flashing away like l.sd. with out the 8 hours of come down.
powerA make very good controllers. my last cheap powerA I bought 8 years ago for 10 still works perfectly but it has a smooth plastic shell so longer gaming sessions are uncomfortable with no grippy surfaces, (I only found out it was made by powerA after buying thisd controller… i’ll be buying from these guys again)

TL;DR BUY THIS instead of official xbox controller for PC Gaming – its far superior. end of.

    I'm a sucker for RGB
Very good controller for its price and I’d recommend it if you don’t play FIFA 22.

If you play FIFA 22 then I would not recommend it at all due to when taking penalties. When you taking a penalty, the aim wobbles when holding it in a direction. I couldn’t find a way to make it less sensitive even after calibration. (Razer wolverine also did this and I had to return it) Therefore I had to buy an official Microsoft controller again as it remains steady when taking penalties on FIFA.

Takes some time getting used to but very nice for the price
The controller has a strange feel to it compared to controllers from Microsoft. (Like you’re on a higher sense) Although after getting used to it it feels natural. For the money it’s a very nice controller so you can get used to paddles. Unfortunately for me after 2-4 hours of use everyday for a week I now have stick drift on both sticks. It’s quite a considerable amount so be wary if would effect you a lot.
Overall for the money it’s good but there are better controllers out there if you pay a little more.

Beats the elite v2 in the analog departme
I have used this product over a week straight playing FPS games.
I bought the xbox elite v2, had to return due to it being faulty, then bought another one, to have the same problem the analogs wouldn’t click at 2 5 7 and 11 o’clock positions due to the new design.
This joypad at the fraction of the cost ALMOST out performs the xbox elite.
The analogs on this controller work perfectly, directions mean alot to me as I have been speed running games such as mario64 where precision is key, slightest bit of drift or oversteer in your analog can ruin a game. The RGB is nice and the 2 extra action buttons on the back are fab (but not as good as the xbox elite v2 with its 4 extra with flappy panels) but it falls short on the trigger locks, that’s where the controller falls a bit, they are no where near the quality of xbox elite v2 with their trigger locks, they feel very flimsy and don’t lock as close as the elite. But beside that for 35 vs xbox elite 150, yea it definitely a great controller it is my go to for any fps or platforming game.

    Absolute perfection for me
Not sure I would have ordered this if I read reviews beforehand cos most people had bad things to say about it. However its been class for me. The weight is perfect (not too heavy or light), quality feel, long enough cable and quality as well, buttons are perfect to press. The instructions for changing light and other settings are absolutely simple. Haven’t used a headphone with it yet but I’m hoping it works as well. I love all the buttons as they feel soft and easy to press. However I don’t like the position of the buttons beneath the controller as you constantly find yourself pressing them unintentionally and they have cost me a few games. I would prefer if they were reposition so that we don’t constantly press them by mistake which can be annoying if it costs you games. Overall it’s the best controller I’ve purchased so far and I would purchase it again should I have to.

    Great produc
I’m always dubious to buy cheaper peripherals, however, wanting a wired Xbox controller for the PC I thought I’d give it a try and it turns out I am very happy with the product! The controller feel sturdy, possibly the only downfall is that L2/R2 feel a bit less solid than the official controller. The RGB lights are programmed through holding a button on the bottom and cycling through the ‘zones’ and colours using the D pad and A/B/X/Y buttons, I’d assumed there’d be a piece of software for it, but it does the job. The R2/L2 triggers have a switch underneath the body, to change how far they need to be pressed to action, which is a nice touch. It does have two ‘easy access’ buttons on the bottom of the controller, but I haven’t found a use for these yet as you program these to be another of your buttons, not a keystroke, which would be nice. Overall, very happy and may pick another one up for my lad.

    Overall a good buy...
Gamepad is well weighted & sized. Most buttons are very good, except the triggers, that feel a little cheap & light. Which leads to the main fault, the trigger stops. The only useful setting is the middle, the other two settings are poor. The first setting is far to short, triggers don’t do anything, too much dead zone. The third setting is the long default, too much dead zone again. Gamepad currently does not have any app, or online manager to resolve this. Other issues, the analogue thumb controls will wear out over time. Had over 6 months of long gaming on pad, with one of the controls becoming too loose, with drift problems. Still ok, but I wish a developer would make a gamepad with module controls, as this is the first part to fail usually, & would be more eco friendly.
The features work well enough, & the extra 2 remappable buttons are a nice addition. They can be used instead of the triggers, for a better response. The headset plugs directly into the gamepad, with its own settings built in. If disassembly is required, really easy with small Phillips screwdriver heads, inside will not fall to bits, everything is fixed. Overall this gamepad is a good quality, soft top, & textured bottom, & currently a price that is just right…

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersReally impressed for a 3rd party controlle
    Was a bit dubious going for a 3rd party controller but to sum up;
    – looks and feels great
    – buttons don’t stick (this was my main concern), slightly different feel to a “real” controller but not in a bad way
    – personally I love the LEDs but you can easily turn them off if it’s a bit much
    – cable is a good length and seems strong; I have a cat who chews on EVERYTHING and I feel safe leaving this out
-fair price although I think 30 quid would be more accurate, I paid 35

Overall if you want a wired controller or just need a new controller full stop, I’d reccomend this, especially if you’re into the whole “gamer LED” thing . Time will tell on the long term durability but if get a year or two out of it I’ll be happy, I play a lot so it’ll be stress tested for sure. Will update the review if it starts giving me trouble but so far so good, if unsure I’d say just go ahead and try one ou

Very solid, wired 3rd-party controller for the money. A lot to like.
Recently purchased this controller at the beginning of July so have been using a fair bit. In summary a very good 3rd-party, wired Xbox One, PC or Series S|X controller. Yesterday I also took delivery of the Turtle Beach Recon Controller (separate review left on that product page) which is also another really good controller with some very unique features. This compares well to that controller. My thoughts:

+ Ergonomics pretty much the same as the Xbox Series controller.
+ Tension on the analog sticks is nearly perfect and the same as the aforementioned Turtle Beach Recon Controller. Again very small deadzone.
+ Kontrol Freeks fit perfectly fine with no wiggle or turning (took them off to put on the Recon for that photo).
+ Front of the controller has a soft rubberised coating which is pleasant to hold. Some texturing on the back of the controller although quite smooth to hold.
+ D-pad is very good, as are triggers and shoulder buttons. No impulse trigger rumble motors for the games that use them, i.e. Forza Motorsport. But I don’t think that’s going to be an issue with FPS and 3rd person shooters.
+ Micro USB cable port is locked in very securely on the controller, and the break-away cable is a nice touch (like the OG Xbox).
+ RGB lighting is quite fun although thankfully it can be turned off. Zone lighting isn’t quite uniform though.
+ Very easy to program the two back buttons on the fly, although no stored profiles like the Turtle Beach Recon Controller though.

The Trigger stops work…for some games but with varying results. In Halo MCC you can set the trigger stops to the smaller travel with no impact. But in other games the buttons don’t work or limit the acceleration on vehicles, i.e. Destiny 2. So it’s hit and miss as to whether they work with the game you want to play. Without software, like the official MS Elite or the Razer Wolverine controllers, trigger stops are limited in usefulness.

Not many negatives although I think weight of the controller is one. It feels slightly heavier than an official Microsoft controller with battery pack (286g vs 271g). PowerA have used metal weights in their more expensive Fusion Pro controller and this feels similar, although without taking it apart I can’t be sure. But personally I prefer lighter controllers. Also the 3.5mm audio jack worked fine for me, although I didn’t have a chance to test the microphone which can be very low quality output on 3rd-party controllers.

So in terms of the features versus the price of this controller, it’s an easy recommend, particularly at this price point. I do prefer the included audio pre-amp/EQ etc. on the Turtle Beach Recon Controller but the Spectra Infinity is cheaper and if you use a wireless headset might not need those features anyway. A good controller, and I hope has some durability etc. as I continue to use it.
