Good little device
I’ve used these for a few projects and they are great, and adding WiFi and Bluetooth onboard is brilliant. I don’t use Micro/CircuitPython, but the C SDK is good and works well with FreeRTOS.
Found it fairly quick and easy to get this up and running.
Found it straightforward to solder the header pins onto this and connect it to thonny running on an RPi, was able to install some python WiFi server code on this and use it to toggle a servo connected to the pico W’s gpio pins to flip the switch on my kettle by connecting to the pico W via my phone over the local WiFi network.
Sehr vielseitiger Microcontrolle
Der Pico ist sehr gut als (Wieder)Einstieg in die Welt der Mikrocontroller geeignet.
Die zustzliche Anwendbarkeit von Micropython (anstelle von C ) macht die Programmierung komfortabler.
Mittels WLAN wird der Anwendungsumfang dieses Microcontrollers erweitert (z.B. Remote Monitoring & Control, minimalistischer Webserver bzw. -Client, eigenstndiger WiFi-Access Point).
Only just scrapping the surface of what it can do!
The device was well packaged and arrived safely (and quickly) in perfect condition. I decided to get the “bare” version so had to solder the pins, but that worked out OK. I’m only just beginning to learn micropython so I haven’t explored the devices WiFi comms potential yet.
