You’re getting a lot for you money here, the attention to detail of this rod is fantastic, there is not a single flaw in it’s construction, not in the handle, the reel holder or any of the acrylic work on any of the eyelets. The eyelets are also straight as an arrow and ceramic. I mean come on a strong graphite rod with this level of detail is… well it’s recommended that’s what it is, In all honesty if I could do it over I would opt for the light med action the med. is stiffer than other brands so I would order an action lighter than you normally would.

Just received the rod. I would say it’s an ok fishing rod: Solid builded but lack of sensitivity(otherwise it will cost you at least $100). So I would recommend ML instead of M tone if some small fishes(under 1lb) are also your target.

I like this a lot as I just needed something to be able to grab and go and have a rod when I need one.
This is now stored in my old pickup truck with some reel and string for that time that I get the bug and just want to go sit at the local lake and dangle my bait for a while.
I have to say when put together this is fairly sturdy and feels great in your hands. Guys you know what I mean. Grab one of these – they seem to be made well enough to tackle a big one. Not got anything to nibble my bait yet but I plan to go to the lake later this week and see what bites.

A very nice rod for my spinning reel. It is a little more stiff than I expected, but it’s OK. I plan to get a lot of use out of it over the summer.

This rod seems well balanced with a 3000 sized reel and 12# mono. It is sensitive enough to feel the bite. The blue graphic wrap is a little cheesy and the cork handle doesn’t compare with my higher end rods, but I don’t think the fish will mind.

This is a appropriately priced spinning rod. It got the 7 ft rod and it’s a pretty decent rod. The handles feel a little weird. The bottom section with that thread the reel in is a little short for my taste. Also the sharp cutoff on the handle ends feel weird too. If it wasn’t for the handles I would rate this higher. But, maybe that won’t bother you. Everyone has different hands and hold fishing rods differently. It’s still a decent rod, just not as refined as I hoped.

I’m truly becoming a believer in this brand. The craftsmanship in these rods (and reels) shines through in their lightness, balance in hand and relatively sturdy build.
If I have any doubts about this particular rod it is that I would be nervous if I hooked into anything more than 10-12lbs. So I don’t recommend taking this on outings targeting large catfish, salmon or any species you’d anticipate weighing more than a dozen pounds. This rod definitely belongs in your boat for those fishing trips when you’re seeking bass, pike, walleye or trout.

I really like this fishing rod that I ordered. The rod comes in two pieces that attach with ease. The handles on the rod are made of cork. The rod also is made of graphite (carbon fiber) which makes a nice design and is also durable. This rod is perfect for fishing and casting in my local bay area.

Not a fisherman myself, but have been wanting to get into it for a while. First impressions from a novice: pole is very light yet durable, while maintaining good responsiveness. To get a feel for this I had some help from my cat and his mouse toy, I tied on some line and attached a mouse toy to the end. First I’ll cast it out into the living room where he goes zooming after it, then to really test the responsiveness I’d twitch it side to side as he constantly bats it out of the air or chases it around. To test the sturdiness I’d wait for him to tire out and lay on top of the mouse, where I would begin pulling straight up with the rod trying to get it out from underneath him. His 13.3 lb frame would bend the rod considerably without it falling apart or breaking. I cant wait for the weather to warm up so I can get a reel on here to try and catch real catfish.

This rod is nice and lightweight. I matched it with a spinning reel that is also lightweight so that the rod would balance correctly. The secret to matching a reel to a rod is to balance the rod on one finger just in front of the reel. A balanced rod will stay on your finger and not tip to one side or the other. You might have to play around with a few different reels to find the one that matches the weight of your rod.

The flexibility is there, and I feel that this will be a great fishing rod for sunfish and crappies from my dock.
Overall, I am very happy with my rod, and I can’t wait until open water fishing.

Unboxed the rod and the shaft portion and eyelets all seem very well made the two halves fit together very well and the upper portion feels solid. The cork handle and reel mount is a bit of a different story on their end, While supple the cork portion feels like it is a bit loose around the shaft and when securing the reel into the handle, at the point the screw clamp collar begins tightening against the reel base the cork trim popped loose from the collar and separated from its layers. It is held together by some cement compound and I was able to re-stick it, but don’t really imagine that the cork will hold up when exposed to heat or sunlight while on a boat. The rest of the rod feels good when casting and setting hooks and the only drawback is the cork is of a different fit and finish level.

Excellent rod. Very lite weight seems strong. Only complaint I have is the Space between the 2 part handle is kind of far. Other than that. excellent rod, already hooked up new real and can’t wait to go use i

The rod seems nicely made, and feels right..can’t find any flaws in material of construction so far. A baitcasting reel mounts easily and stays firmly in place, & I like the little hook/lure retainer (see pic 3). Only off-putting thing about it is the very cheap storage bag with weird Asian branding on it that it came in. On the other hand, they didn’t have to include a case at all, so can’t really complain.

Not sure how I feel about the style of rod with a bare handle section behind the reel, as I’ve always used the old style with a fully covered handle. Unlike some, this one DOES have enough grip area immediately behind the reel for one hand, so it will probably be OK. Don’t know if a young kid will take to it as easily, but the grandson wants to go fishing, so we’ll find out.

We’re still getting a lot of snow but in about 6-7 weeks I should be able to wet a line! This rod feels nice and slides together easy! The only thing I would change about it is the void in the back handle, I would prefer that be solid with out the gap

It is not meant to compete with big brands but if you are in the market for a reliable and good quality for the pride rod, this is the one you want. Liked it.

I chose the medium action 7′ spinning rod for working sea trout and redfish on the SC tidal marshes. The rod is super lightweight and strong due to the graphite construction, action is very good. The ceramic guides rival that of much more expensive fishing rods. Overall excellent purchase!

Lightweight rod cork handle. Not a fisherman but going to give it a go when the weather warms up. I will update my review after first trip!

This is a really nice 2 piece casting rod. I put a 7.6 ounce Kastking Centron Lite Baitcasting Reel on this rod. It balances well and feels great. This rod feels very LIGHT but responsive and sturdy.

“Sougayilang Baitcasting Reels, 8:1 Gear Ratio Fishing Reel with Magnetic Braking System Casting Reel, 9 + 1 Ball Bearings Super Smooth Anti-Corrosion Baitcaster Reel” is the closest match to what I’m using and it seems to have better specs.

I normally use 1 piece Med Heavy/Medium or Heavy/Stiff Rods. I got this for keeping behind the seat of the Truck for those “OH!! Lets test this Canal Out!!” while out and about. lol

I haven’t fished this rod yet, but having been Bass fishing for over 50 years now I can tell how a Rod and Real setup will perform pretty well before I hit the water with them. This Rod will do it’s job and do it well.

The action flexes enough to toss out some smaller/lighter lures and has enough backbone for good hook setting. The Joint goes about 3 inches up into the Top Part of the Rod. Nice firm secure joint once seated. Takes a bit of Twist Force to make the top turn out of line.

I’ve never found a two piece rod that will ever match a one piece. This rod comes pretty close though. Another VERY nice feature of this rod is that the Rod Blank area exposed under the Reel seat is large enough for me to have my Middle finger AND Index finger comfortably touching it for added feel.

I’m also liking the more uniform shape of the split cork grip vs the Hour Glass or Tapered curved ones on rods these days. The butt is long enough to easily brace under your forearm for leverage if needed. But not so long as to interfere with working the rod.

For the money this a quality rod that will perform well. I’m certainly glad I got it.
