Actually, I use it as a door monitor. Simple to set up. Batteries seem to last a long time. Captures everything in a quality of your choosing. I play back through my “65 television and image quality is impressive.
Nothing gets by this fantastic Camera. All Amazon deliveries now on camera.

Curious of what visited my garden at night I decided on a wildlife camera and this little unit ticked all the boxes
It’s easy set up and flexible mounting options means I can see ground level activity at night and capture a variety of birds feeding during the day

Camera was very easy to set up and use, all you need is 4 AA batteries (although the unit can take 8). Followed the included instructions and used the same night to capture the critters stalking around the garden.
Excellent quality and even comes with a micro SD card. All you need in this type of camera.

I’m pleased to say there have been no quality issues or problems setting it up following a clear and detailed Instruction manual. Whilst there is no bluetooth or wi-fi, so that photos and videos need to be manually transferred to computer, the built-in setup/review screen is excellent. The supplied 32Gb microSD card should be adequate for amateur use.

We liked the easy to use menu in setup, compact with a camouflage look. Great for nighttime use with a great lens which covers a very wide capture. Easy to install on bracket supplied or just strap it to post or tree.

Good to use, big enough screen and easy to use navigation buttons. Read the instructions before use it helps to understand and operate easier. Good camera, just what i was looking for. Would recommend

If you’re like me and tend to not read manuals be aware that the “replay” button cycles through videos while displaying a snapshot. To view the video you must press OK.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat, clear images, simple setup. Good in the dark, multiple sensitivity settings for activation. Swift response to warranty activation. Seems well made and everything except the batteries was in the box. The video camera captures very quickly when it senses motion. We’re delighted. It plugs straight in to a mac or PC (I have used both) and shows a folder where the videos can be watched or copied.

We have used this to see which creatures visit our garden at night. Just two random cats so far, but they did not seem put off by the camera.

I looked around to try and choose a camera with the features we required and I’m impressed with this, I think we made the right choice and the price was good too. Top marks. I look forward to taking it out in the wild! I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking at their first trail cam.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI recently purchased this Entry-Level Trail Camera and have mixed feelings about my decision. My initial expectations were based on the camera’s specifications and the reviews I read online.

Through some experimentation, I discovered that the infrared light is only effective up to about 15 feet, even when using 8 fully charged 2800mAh batteries. Beyond that distance, the target’s details are lost in darkness, rendering the recording more-or-less useless to me.

As others have mentioned, setting up this Trail Camera is somewhat cumbersome and finicky, but it can be done using the built-in LCD screen. The camera’s menu system is user-friendly and easy to navigate, allowing for some customization based on your specific needs.

The Trail Camera produces AVI-format video recordings, which can be played seamlessly on VLC media player, a free and open-source media player. However, if you try to use these video files in media editors like Davinci Resolve, you’ll find that they are not recognized due to their video codec. You can either purchase a video converter or use HandBrake, a free and open-source video converter, to convert the AVI files into MP4 format.

    *UPDATE 1*

If, like me you want the *best quality* nighttime recordings possible, even better than the default max resolution of the camera then first, check out the screenshot provided before continuing.

The top image is the original recording at max resolution, the second image below it is the converted recording using 2160p 60 4K AV1 settings using Handbrake. The bottom image now shows the background more clearly than the original, making the whole recording smoother looking. The slight drop in contrast in the converted recording will be put back once I am back into the my Video Editor.

I have found that 8 fully charged 2800mAh batteries when recording soley at night last 2 hours before they are completly drained. Not tried using them them all day but would imagine they would last much longer.

    *UPDATE 2*
It turns out that my Trail Camera did have a fault when recording with it, which is a shame as I’ve quickly grown to like using it. I contacted support and have found them to be very helpful and always replied within 24 hours. I was given a refund minus VAT.

Overall, this Trail Camera is worth the 4 stars I have given it based on price and performance.

    Decent Entry-Level Trail Camera

The camera is great quality and it looks great. It does exactly what it should and will be rugged. My only gripe is the use of AVi files. A bit more of a pain to play and edit on Android Atleast, but it’s doable.

As a complete newby to this sort of photography I was concerned I would find it difficult to set up , however it was easy to set up and it took a few photos during the first night. We have still to capture any significant wildlife but I am sure we will soon.
Customer service has been excellent which is reassuring if I need help moving forward.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt was easy to set up instructions very clear, very pleased with the video quality and photo quality. It is solidly built and looks as if it will give years of service, but as I just got it I’ll have to reserve by judgement. Considering how reasonable the price of the camera is, I will give it a 5 star rating and report back if anything untoward occurs, but I’m not expecting that to happen. Some reviews have complained about battery life, considering the amount of videos and photos that have been shot already, I would report the battery life is satisfactory to me. Update 8 alkaline batteries inserted on 6th April, today 10th May, I have not yet replaced them. The camera is used in the garden 16-20 hrs daily only turned off if I’m working around the placement. I delighted I bought this camera.

This is a great entry-level wildlife camera to start you off at less than 50!
+ It’s easy to set up with a comprehensive manual and intuitive menu settings.
+ Can be used for time lapse photography
    + High resolution video (2688 x 1520) and stills (7168 x 4032)
    + 2″ TFT LCD
+ 90 Degree PIR Sensor Angle
    + IP66 Waterproofing
+ Can be hard-mounted with a provided bracket or strapped to a tree or post

    – Batteries can be fiddly to remove – tight fit
    – Setting up camera view is fiddly with no remote view via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. It can only be viewed by the LCD screen inside the camera in Test Mode.
    – It’s not a good idea to have the camera open in damp conditions as the lens, PIR sensor and LCD screen will fog up.

A perfect entry-level camera for recording wildlife

First time using a trail camera and very pleased with my purchase. Bought it for seeing what goes on with the local wildlife in the garden. Opted to buy rechargable batteries at same time as read in reviews that batteries “die” quickly. I haven’t yet found this to be the case but cheaper to recharge than to replace imo. Image quality (photo and video) is very good with lots of mp options and night vision quality is also excellent – both are sharp and crystal clear. Operating camera is straightforward. Yes, I read the instructions and found them to be clear and user-friendly. Only had the camera a week so still learning best placement in the garden but so far so good. Would recommend.

Have used in kitchen for a week now to see what our dogs do at night.
Device came in sturdy packaging & appears to be well made.
Data at bottom of screen is too small to read on built in screen but clearly legible when viewed on pc.
    Links to W10 pc.
YouTube video Guide to Use as referenced in manual is good.
Both Day & Night vision video quality are clear.
    Easy to set up.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersNot being the Techie type I was struggling to get the camera to night shoot on a “timed” window. Apart from that it was easy to set up and as you will see from other reviews this was my issue not the camera. That being said I had to contact the help email and I received a prompt response to my issue with a very friendly and helpful answer. They have clearly heard it all before! Instructions are clear in the booklet and I have had 9 triggers overnight two nights on the trot. Mostly cats but a Fox last night. Hope to get a better view tonight. Will take a bit of time sorting out best placement but always excited to review it when it comes in.
Unsure of battery life so far. Just used Duracell batteries still showing full. Only used for a few days but It has been on and off like a yo yo!
I think a great starter/first camera and great price. Good to know the helpline is happy to help.

Takes good pictures and movies, the latter being best otherwise you might end up with thousands (literally) of snaps if you set them to take every minute. It is amazing what wild life we miss at night time, even in winter.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersThis is the second wildlife/trail camera that I have bought from this company. This camera is of a slightly lower specification than my other one but don’t let this statement put you off.

The camera is well-built with good-quality access pin hinges and locking clamps. The who unit is made from very strong plastic. The built-in display is easy to view for both setting up the camera and viewing wildlife that you have captured. The option buttons are easy to use and give good feedback so that you know the button has been pressed. In the open door of the camera is where you install your AA batteries behind a clipped access flap. One of the nice features is that you can use either 4 or 8 batteries depending on how long you expect the camera to be left in the wild. Just make sure you fill either the top half or the bottom half with batteries, if you mix the battery location the camera will not work. This is all explained in the manual.

Setting the camera up is a breeze, accessing the options menu you can select
Mode:- This instructs the camera to take a photo, video or both.
    Photo resolution:- Self-explanatory
Photo series:- How many photos to take, 1, 2 or 3
    Video resolution:- Self-explanatory
Video Lenght:- Select of long the camera will shoot video
    Auto recording:- On or Off
    …and so on.

The camera comes with a good set of accessories to mount the camera to a tree or comes with a built camera tripod adapter, this is the option that I used. Using the supplied MicroSD card I was up and running straight away.

I apologise for the not-so-exciting wildlife pictures supplied.

Easy to use good quality wildlife and trail camera

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI use this to track a possible mouse incursion into the house. The camera is easy to set up and the picture very clear without having to feed it through the laptop..
I could wish that the on/off switch was on the top of the camera, as once you have it in position, you have to move it again to switch to the film position and of course, the screen goes blank, so you can’t be sure you’ve put it back in the tight position. Apart from that, it is easy to set up and use and excellent value for the money.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI imagine this is what sir David Attenborough must use.
I was highly impressed by the quality of the pictures taken, at 28MP the images look as though they are analogue even though they’re digital. Everything is coming out in focus and looking very crisp.
The night-vision actives automatically meaning it is perfect for shooting time lapse or just long shots without worrying about having to switch the night vision on. It also has a time lapse mode.
The user interface is easy to use and comes with many options for professionals. For non-professionals the demo mode can be used to immediate start capturing.
The product comes with a 32 GB SD card which is a generous addition. Normally a nigh-vision camera or a 28MP camera alone would cost more than this and be lower quality, but this camera does both and exceptionally so. A huge bargain, well worth every penny!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersA great trail camera that not only can be used for adventure to capture wildlife but also is very useful to be used as a CCTV for indoor and outdoor.
the capability of using either battery or adapter is very useful for when you want to use it as a CCTV camera.
Overall product quality amazed me as it looks very solid with good materials. it works with only 4 AA batteries but put 8 for longer use.
The picture and video quality was good and I loved the flexibility of changing photo and video quality in menu which you can set it for lower quality and save more space.

I tested in dark room and infrared sensor worked great. I also tested the motion sensor where it was in middle sensitivity and i felt it was too sensitive so set it to low.

The main reason I bought it was to capture Timelapse video to see sun rise and sun set from my house window which was amazing. you can set it to take photo and short video in your selectable intervals when it’s in TL mode. Obviously when you use TL the motion detector senser will be off. worth noting that for video recording you can record the audio as well.

it’s absolutely good value for money and I recommend it to buy it.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI have wanted one of these cameras for a while now as a gift for my 12 year old son and I have been doing lots of research as you do. I settled on this device as it stood out from the rest and boy does it deliver!

My son is very much into nature and wildlife and therefore this was the perfect birthday gift and he hasn’t stopped playing with it!

I was very impressed it came with an SD card and I purchased some rechargeable batteries. It didn’t take long at all to set up if you follow the informative instructions carefully.

We went with the setting of “take a photo” once the camera is triggered then allow the recording to take place for 20 seconds. Much to our amazement we captured a badger in our garden as you see with the footage! What we also liked was the fact we could set the time in which the camera could become live and also when it could be switched off. Once we had left it out the first night and caught the badger we then left it out for a week and to our amazement it had registered 60 other “recordings / captures”, this included squirrels, magpies and all manner of other wildlife!

We secured it to a fence post with the “strap” that came enclosed and there is another fixing it you wish to do something more permanent.

You can “play” the recording straight off the device of you can plug it straight into your computer with the supplied cable and view the images on a bigger screen. You can then at that point save the footage off the SD card as I have done in order to show you my results of the very clear images recorded.

We rescued a Hedgehog the other day and while it is at the hospital getting better once we get her back we’re going to closely monitor her release back into our garden.

The camouflage design on the outer blends seamlessly into hedgerows as you can see. The build quality is very good also and appears very durable and tough. The retaining clips in order to insure the camera is clamped tightly together when in operation are very good also. The rubber lip within the edging is of good quality also in order to prevent water ingress.

You could of course use the device for security measures however for recording wildlife footage this is the one that ticked all the boxes – great fun and at a very good price! 10/10!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great fun and fantastic quality, my son is very happy indeed!
