A fantastic card holder and robust. Only fits 6 bank and credit cards and wont fit more than that as i have tried. Actually to be honest its good to de clutter the cards you dont use on a daily basis, like me i am trying to de clutter so i have selected the 6 cards i need from bank and credit cards to gym pass and driving license. A fantastic gift. I would reccomend i

    A fantastic product.

At first glance, the product appears to be of good quality and durable. The leather cover is really soft to the touch and has a nice appearance. Credit cards are easy to insert and the wallet holds them tightly, with no chance of accidentally losing them. The whole product looks like first class work.
Time will tell the rest about durability. I would honestly recommend it to anyone thinking of getting one.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHad this sucker for 4 years, survived many nasty falls, even being lost once, and its still going strong. Can’t fault this thing, so far it has been working perfect, 10/10 would recommend

Love the design, if you have 5-6 cards to hold then will work absolutely fine, any more than that then the slider to push out your cards will become stiffer but isn’t really a huge inconvenience. Definitely recommend and looks amazing

Cards stay firmly inside holder and easy to access. Significantly smaller than my usual bulky wallet.

Easy to use, very durable. Only downside would be the number of cards that it holds. No more than 7 without being difficult to remove the cards

Ideal for jeans and shorts pockets. It’s not bulky and uncomfortable like a normal wallet. Very comfortable when put into front pocket of jeans/trousers, no discomfort whilst walking or moving around. Money clip is very useful for a few notes as in the modern day most people use cards for transactions. Knowing that it is RFID protected is a positive reassurance.

Very high quality build for the price, can hold up to 6 xards comfortably without feeling like your stuffing them in, sleek in design, spring loaded lever on the bottom to extract the cards, matt finish black which seems to be scratch resistant as it still hasnt got a mark after months of using.

Lot less room used up, cards safe and unreadable it’s a stylish 21st century light weight wallet. I got the one with the clip for notes. If you don’t mind loose change in your pocket this is the one for you. Really well made, not cheap at all. Great value for money

Its a modern take on a thing you didn’t even think about needing a modern take. My old wallet was one of those “I have had it for _ _ years and can’t part with it” kind of deals. But parting with it was a great idea! For the price, it holds up really well!

Aggressive upside-down shaking? those cards wont come out.

Passive-aggressively showing shop staff ID for Paracetamol? you at least look cool whipping it out of thatt thing.

Easy to add any kind of card to take on the go. Used for a business trip where I didn’t want to bring my whole wallet and getting through Airport was super easy. Pops cards up pretty well so you can grab what you need. Super durable so far.

The wallet is great, but not for cash, if your looking for a wallet just for your cards this is the wallet but if you carry decent amounts of cash i would look at another product

Knowing what i know would i buy it again, I would due to the card carrying quality

The product is great and the card holder bit works perfectly however the clip is too tight to be able to hold cash or clip on to anything, would make the product much better for the clip to work but all in all a good produc

Really doesn’t seem bad at all. A little bulkier than I expected.

I have three cards in the wallet – two bank cards and my Driving Licence which works well. Any more and it would make it awkwad to remove the cards.

Card holder is a fantastic idea and so easy to get access to cards. However the money clip on the back seems to have lost strength and bent out a bit with only holding around. 5 notes for a day or two. So taking some stats off for they. Quality well built wallet though. Hopefully have many years of use our it.

Product is stylish and works well – very easy to access cards and much more compact than a regular wallet.

4* instead of 5 as the leather versions have imperfections on them – have included photos of two different ones I’ve received, each with a mark on them. Doesn’t affect use of the product itself but something to consider if you mind this sort of thing.

    Stylish but with imperfections

Used daily now for about 3 years. You do have to be selective about the cards you carry and you can’t overload it (I’d like to see a fatter version). I’m carrying 3 embossed and 3 flat cards. If you have to force cards into the wallet, you’re doing it wrong.
The money clip on the back is pretty rubbish, certainly with UK plastic notes, OK if you fold the notes over like 4 times, but I wouldn’t trust it to hold anything securely. (but I don’t carry cash often enough to get too whiny about this.
Other than that slight niggle it’s been absolutely brilliant. The finish on the front and back plates is durable, the edges are now starting to show wear but that’s to be expected when in daily use.
    Well worth the money.

great card wallet, i came across it with 20 minutes remaining for next day delivery so i rushed to purchase it thinking i try something new not really thinking too much about it.

it arrived next day, opened package looks and feels great, put my cards in and it functions as it should. shaked it like crazy and none fall out.

but then in my old wallet all my paper cash and coins were there and i instantly realised that this card wallet would be very impractical for me so i returned the wallet.

would love this card feature on a wallet that can hold notes and coins.

If you are like me you don’t want the trouser or jacket line of your clothing ruined and this wallet does just that. Another key plus side to this is you don’t have to carry cash. So no more carrying vast swathes of change you keep and then lose because you can never spend it because you can’t bear the shame of depositing thousands of pennies at a checkout. No more will you be stripped of money when a family member, friend, or random person on the street askes you for a fiver for now with a smile you can say no I don’t carry cash and wave the stylish metal in the face. The design is metal the strongest of all clothing materials. The old fashioned wallet would soon become frayed and fall apart or you would spend so much on a wallet that claimed it wouldn’t that it would remain empty for a month. This won’t. However you will need to change where you get a coffee and where you go to do things, as the card carrying capacity is limited – for me seven comfortably. Some of this can be mitigated by using apps on your phone. This however will take some getting used to, for many a month you will clog lines and upset a great many people.

After researching online and looking at different minimalist wallets, I came across the Akielo Alpha collection. I wasn’t sure about it but was wanting to get a new wallet. Any doubts I had were blown away when it arrived! It is so neat and slick and well made. The difference in size compared to a leather wallet is almost unbelievable! The alpha wallet is very well made, with the money clip being very secure and sturdy, and more than capable of holding in a variety of notes. The slider release for the cards is well made and very satisfying to use! I have had no issues with fitting in the cards I need either. And another positive about this wallet is, it makes you de-clutter your wallet and take what you really need. I found it to be an excellent price and something I will definitely buy again to gift to others. 5/5

My honest review of this “wallet”. It is exactly as described in the advert. I have 6 cards fit easily in the wallet. The movement of the cards is fine and smooth. The money clip is ok, not the strongest I’d guess but it holds the UK money alright. Only downside I can see right now is the pins that hold the plates together are very slightly raised and ever so slightly catches your fingers. I will personally peen them over for a better fit. I’m not sure it’s something I will use for the long term as you need to carry your coins separate but it does what it says it does. Thanks.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersUPDATE: Not had the option to test for RFID protection but it looks and feels great. A few minor scuffs/scratches after being in the same pocket as some keys, but they’re barely noticeable. The little “rivets” on the rear are beginning to lose some colour after a while but it’s not a huge deal to me. I’d still recommend this product.

Just received this item today, so I’ll update after a few weeks of use, considering the pandemic in which I’m not out as much as I used to be.

TLDR: Looks and feels premium. Can fit up to 7 cards, but not recommended. Cards won’t fall out. Really secure and durable. Looks fab too. 10/10 recommend.

Carefully and securely packaged which is a in my book.

Not only does the item look and feel premium, the unboxing experience makes you feel like you’re receiving something special thanks to the minimal black and gold aesthetic, and I absolutely love that.

Upon opening the box, you’re immediately thanked and welcomed into the “AKIELO Family” which makes you feel part of a community. That personal touch is just spot on.

Placing the card aside, the wallet looks impeccable. The black and white accents really make it stand out without it shouting about it. It’s so much better than I imagined (see pictures). I used your standard IMPEGA pencil tip to compare how thin it is since I’m sure we have all used a pencil at some point in our lives. This cuts the size of my old wallet (that I threw away, no pictures unfortunately) in half, maybe more.

I can fit 7 cards in this (2 embossed bank cards and 5 flat membership cards), but the mechanism had a lot of resistance when using it, so I don’t recommend using that many unless they’re completely flat. I think I’ll stick to using 5 cards instead (2 bank, 3 memberships) because they are likely what I’d carry around most. Its all personal preference.

The cards inside feel safe and secure, I couldn’t get any of them to fall it which is absolutely fabulous. I know that’s something myself and others were worried about. The wallet is super lightweight even with cards inside.

You can definitely keep one card in this (though, I’m not sure why you’d want to) and it will not fall out. I forgot to include this in my video but it’s definitely possible.

The wallet fits really nicely in my pockets and it’s not much larger than your standard bank card, so it should fit in most pockets comfortably.

So far, I love this product. It makes me want to go out and buy things I can’t afford

    Sturdy, looks & feels premium. 5 ⭐

I have been using this wallet for nearly two months now. My previous leather wallet was just too thick and heavy for me to carry around, and being someone who doesn’t really use coins, I had to look into something like this.

Its main selling point for me is how slim and lightweight it is, I don’t even feel it in my pocket, even with the money clip. It’s also very aesthetically pleasing and futuristic-looking. Having said that, it is prone to scratching, you have to be careful not to put it in with anything remotely sharp like keys. Also when the card extends out, there’s not a lot of space between them to grab the card you want. I get around this by pushing down all the cards beneath it and sliding my desired one up, takes a bit of getting used to. Having said all these points, for the price point, you really can’t complain!

Would’ve been 5* if the cards had a little more space between them when you popped them out.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sleek, nice fit in pocket, scratch-prone, not very ergonomic, but worth the price

I can’t fully rate the wallet in a short time, but what I can say is this. It feels great, looks the part, and plays the part. You can’t go wrong here. Great price, amazing wallet. Thiers just one down side . The wallet leaver could of been built better and comfortable. Too small for big fingers, need to push further up to get a grip and it hurts the tumb. I like looking at my wallet then pressing that lever. It can get addicting though which we all will love and enjoy about the wallet. Watching the cards slide out was cool every time. I due feel like it needs time to break it. The wallet was not smooth at all, again over time like anything in life it started getting smoother, pushing the lever and the cards sliding smoother. Again amazing product I just need more time to break it in, but I’m not sure if its supposed to be that way. I bought two of them and they, both are touch to use in the beginning but again with time I think it will get better let’s see.

This came around 1 month ago and I’ve been using it as my primary wallet, I so much prefer this to a bulky leather wallet. This wallet is solid and contains room only for debit/credit cards and nothing else, you can comfortably fit 5 cards in the space.

When the clip at the bottom is pushed, the cards come up in Solitaire fashion, meaning that there is small separation between the cards allowing for easier removal.

The only real negative is that the clip for holding cash is not something I would trust to hold notes long term, but then again, I bought this wallet because I hate having cash just lying around not doing anything. Another negative is that the paint wears quickly off of the screws, I imagine it will the body at some point.

Overall I think the Akielo is good value for money for somebody just getting into metal wallets. Be careful with the push button at first though, you really need to get used to a ‘hard’ wallet.

Edit – I’ve been using the wallet now for 2.5 years. No issues with it at all. I don’t use the money clip but the brief time I did it wasn’t great. The build quality is great and it’s still going strong. I’ve sat on it accidentally several times and it hasn’t bent at all.

This is a nice wallet, don’t get me wrong. The design and mechanism are good (and somewhat satisfying – you’ll likely find yourself fiddling with it quite often), and the material is nice.

However, be warned – the quality control isn’t so great, to the point where my one looks as though the metal casing within the leather has slipped “out” before setting with the glue (this is the basic metal one with a simple leather wrap, in case you think otherwise). Therefore, where the leather wraps round the bottom corner by the slider, there is a 2-3mm gap that just gathers dust, and the metal casing pokes out of the other end by the same margin. It doesn’t affect usage, and I’m sure a little heat or a knife could prise away the leather so it can be adapted – just be warned that it may not look 100% out of the box!

I was one of those that walked around with a wallet filled with various cards and can honestly say this has helped reduce the clutter but also keep me away from collecting too much rubbish.
I like the design, its different than what you will see around. It’s solid and can take good beating (oops). The edges (colour) will start to wear off eventually as you can see in the photos but that depends on how well you use it. It can easily hold SIX cards … anything more than that is embarrassing when you’re standing at the counter trying to fight with this. I’d say its not the smoothest or lightest in terms of extracting the cards but that also depends on how many cards you stuff in it.

Okay … now the money clip. I was hesitant whether to go for the money clip or not. To be honest, I don’t find it that useful because you need to carry good few bucks to keep them secure otherwise they’d be dancing in your pocket or worse dropped when trying to take something else out (has happened).

So I definitely recommend it if you want to minimize clutter in your pocket and if you carry cash as well than you should go for money-clip otherwise standard should be sufficient.

4.0 out of 5 stars Smart, safe and durable

Firstly this is the best looking and slimmest wallet I’ve owned. It’s a very classy and very modern looking wallet and incredibly sturdy. It fits very nicely in any pocket and is so slim you almost forget it’s there after using a ‘traditional’ flip wallet.

Obviously there is no where to keep loose change which I think is the point but it can get annoying keeping loose change in your pocket. However as physical cash hasn’t been phased out yet – the money clip on the back is very handy.

I have put 7 cards in my wallet (2 debit cards and 5 non-debit cards) and it works very well. You can probably fit a few more in there but the release mechanism gets tougher to use the more cards are in the slot. Also the more cards in the slot the harder it is to pick them out after they’re ejected as they are ejected in a sort of descending pattern. To get around this I put the most important cards at the front and back for ease of removal.

Overall a great wallet and very good value for money!

This is a decent product. I bought this as it was cheaper than the Secrid wallets and seemed ok from the reviews. To make it easier, I have listed the Pros and Cons below:

    PROS:
    – It fits around 6-7 cards in depending on what cards you put in. I had 7 cards in there, one of those a bank card where the numbers stick out, the rest were loyalty cards etc.
    – The fact you can slide the little slider to fan the cards out is great, and they are fairly accessible.
    – The RFID blocking does work. I tested it using the NFC on my phone and other equipment and it does work!
    – Nice design, a bit blocky but it’s fairly small and thin so fits in my pockets nicely. Be careful with the back pockets that you have the money clip facing away from your buttocks… it hurts…

    CONS:
    – The slider is stiff and after only a few uses it kept sticking and getting jammed… not ideal!
    – It’s a lot bigger than the Secrid and holds as many cards…
    – When you drop this, your cards come shooting out so you and up having to pick them up all over the place…
    – The money clip is annoying to say the least.

Overall, I would say spend the extra on a Secrid wallet. It offers better than this, although I would still say this was ok!

Golden Review Award: 100 From Our UsersI was skeptical at first when looking for a ‘futuristic’ wallet, as there is a gaining popularity with these metal bodied and minimal card holders but I just didn’t like the price tags that came with them. I’ve looked for months at particular brands (Ridge / Fantom etc.) as I have OCD with cutting unnecessary clutter down but they all came with a hefty 50-90 price tag and I didn’t like how most of them exposed the sides of your cards and you manually had to push them out. As this would have been my first purchase I could never justify parting with that kind of cash for something to hold my cards.

Then I saw this beast!! I loved the look, the positive reviews were a big decision maker and the price was amazingly cheap for what looked premium……although I was still skeptical to think the premium look & feel would suffer with the much cheaper price tag than it’s competitors. But let me tell you……the Akielo wallet does absolutely in no way suffer in this department!

The smooth, matte feel of the Aluminium is gorgeous (I bought the black edition) It feels really solid yet light in weight and can hold upto 6 cards (I have two embossed i.e. Credit/Debit cards and 4 flat i.e. Starbucks/gift cards) and it feels great, keeping them all neat and straight as my cards got warped in my previous leather Vans wallet.

The mechanism is so addictive to keep sliding to see your cards all fanned out nice and neat. And it’s important to note that the cards are never loose or slide out, whether they are tucked in or fanned out….even with heavy shaking they don’t budge, which is perfect to keep peace of mind that your cards are 100% secure. I was so surprised at how comfy this was in my back pocket as well….I thought it would be really uncomfortable to sit down with this in my back jean pocket (as I bought the money clip version) but it’s so slimline in my back pocket all day long and I don’t even notice it’s there (and that’s from a guy who wears skinny jeans).

The box is a really amazing touch too! Comes packed real snug in solid box with a Thank You card from Akielo for your purchase and customer service details on the reverse. This is just the cherry on an already amazing cake!

There is really nothing negative for me to say about this wallet. You won’t regret purchasing this bad boy!

    – Premium feel & build
    – Solid and 100% secure
    – Slimline & very practical

    This wallet is INCREDIBLE!!

As mentioned in the headline, the product is aesthetically pleasing and guarantee to get your friends asking questions. The design looks great visually, feels amazing in your hands & pockets and, seems ready to cater to your minimalist needs.

However, after having used it for about two weeks I have noticed that my cards now have scratch marks on them due to to rubbing against each other as I take them in and out of the wallet. I have 2 (two) embossed banks cards and 4 (four) flat cards in the card holder – not quite sure how I could possibly fit 5 embossed cards without even more major scratches to my cards. Additionally, if you often keep a spare fiver or tenner on you, opt for the one with the money clip – I opted for the one without.

Apart from the scratches, I would recommend this card holder. I just hope I will not have to replace my cards every few months due to wear and tear. Maybe the leather ones are better in that aspect, who knows.

One last thing, if you worried about your contactless cards being compromised, rest assured the RFID blocking 100% works. And Great packaging.

Golden Review Award: 51 From Our UsersI’ve owned this wallet for a couple of months now and purchased this to replace my old ‘traditional’ wallet as it was far too bulky and uncomfortable. If anyone else like me keeps their wallet in their back pocket and hates having to sit on it, then this is the perfect one for you! Its so slim you don’t even realise it’s there and it works just like it should. The mechanism is very strong and sturdy and the cards are held tightly in place. It can hold 6x cards, 4x credit cards and 2x store cards easily and they form in a nice stack so its easy to get which one you need. I would highly recommend this to everyone and highly suggest it, especially for people who are becoming cashless and only need to bring cards with them. It also gets a lot of looks from friends and strangers alike, whenever I bring it out people always comment on how cool it looks!

As for the RFID blocking for those who don’t know this should not be of any concern as this type of scam has never, ever been confirmed within the UK and is not a threat. It’s something that has been made up by companies as a scare tactic for sales, when in reality it’s preventing a crime that doesn’t even exist – so if you are worried about that… don’t be 🙂

I absolutely hated having my wallet in my front pockets, as it would stick out and look ridiculous which is why it was always in my back pocket. You can probably tell where this is going, and yes, it was stolen from me on a night out. As many others have said, I rarely carry notes and coins so leather wallets were a bit redundant for me and they are a tad too cumbersome to carry comfortably.

After checking a few reviews on amazon this card holder caught my eye with its good reviews and decent price and I can say, on the whole, it’s been a fantastic purchase. The holder has a beautiful matte finish and the money clip doesn’t stick out much which means it fits in my front pocket perfectly; even the box it came in looked of a premium quality.

I have only two issues, and these are minor, but the slider to reveal the cards wobbles side to side slightly. While this isn’t a particular problem right now, it feels like it will be a failure point down the line. The other issue is that I am left-handed, and keep it in my left pocket, therefore I would’ve appreciated it if they did a left-handed version. Right now I have to flip it over to be able to reveal the cards with my left hand, which slightly ruins the flourish I was going for when paying for something! Like I said, it’s a minor issue, as I’ve had to deal with things like this made intentionally for right-handed people my whole life, but it would be nice to have the choice!
