We’ve slimmed down the new ZenBook Duo 14 so it’s 3 mm thinner than the previous generation: this is made possible by the tilting ScreenPad Plus design, which reduces the need for internal cooling airflow. Battery life has also been boosted to an amazing 17 hours for all-day productivity. The precision-engineered ErgoLift hinge tilts the keyboard by 4.5° for ergonomic, fatigue-free typing.

For easy connections to peripherals, ZenBook Duo 14 has comprehensive high-performance I/O capabilities including a pair of the latest Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports. These support Power Delivery and DisplayPort, and the 40 Gbps bandwidth lets you connect an external 8K display or two 4K UHD displays. ZenBook Duo 14 also includes WiFi 6 (802.11ax), enhanced with ASUS WiFi Master Premium technology, so you can easily create and share on the go.

ZenBook Duo 14 is engineered with our new Active Aerodynamic System Plus, which uses the ErgoLift hinge mechanism and tilting ScreenPad Plus to increase overall cooling airflow by 49%. This in turn allows an optimum internal temperature to be maintained for maximum performance. Inside, there’s a powerful dual-fan setup with a large-bore heat pipe for efficient heat dissipation. Combined with other innovative measures like liquid-metal thermal compound on the CPU, AAS Plus allows ZenBook Duo 14 to sustain incredible performance, no matter how demanding the workload.

Last few laptops of the well known D brand had blown out through heat and just cooked themselves. So I was keen to find one that was powerful, reasonably priced and could stay cool and run photoshop for me.

So far so good, the extra screen lifts and there are feet to raise the whole thing up again, so airflow is superior and never seems to get cook an egg hot like the others.

The keyboard takes a bit of getting used to , but I’m getting there’s and the little screen has not really had its time to shine yet as I haven’t had time to diss out what to best do with it, but I am optimistic I will .

Do only longevity will determine whether it was a better choice. Fingers crossed, but early indications are good.

…But, by golly it is fast! The only thing I have to recommend is to buy a (As if you don’t have one already. Lol) Mouse. As the smaller than usual Mouse pad on the right hand side will get on your nerves after a while. And eventually hurt your fingers and thumb, and probably give you repetitive strain injury. Lol. Still. a fantastic Lappy.. As said. It is fast. I mean, lightning fast. Oh, and wait till you see the exquisite box it comes in. Will blow your socks off. Just screams quality at you! With some freebies inside too! Glad I bought it. I love ASUS, gear. I also have one of their Chromebooks. Nearly 3 years and no issues whatsoever. Sorry for the short review, but. I don’t really think I need to say anymore. Except treat yourself. I can recommend this Lappy. Easy and quick to set up. You know the drill…Enjoy.

The parcel was delivered fast and efficient. It contained everything that was promised and i had the pleasant surprise to find a laptop sleeve inside as well. (I don`t know if it came with the laptop brand new.) Laptop was not damaged and the box looks to be in good order. I am happy with my purchase.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI use this as my work laptop and it is great to have the second screen to check notes during meetings, view call participants and many other applications. I have outlook on the main display and Teams on the secondary display so I’m not shifting or alt-tabbing my mind away.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFor me, this design is absolutely perfect. I love to use multiple screens, which is not easy when you travel. The second screen of this device is perfect for my needs. I tend to have apps I regularly access – like Teams, Zoom, Messenger or Skype – running below, so I can be communicating with people, and still access documents, email etc above.

I bought my first Zenbook Duo – a 15.6″ version – in 2020. It has been brilliant, although quite heavy and battery life is a joke. Now I have bought the latest 14″ version, and it is even better. I love the way the second screen how tilts. This aids vision, and should help cool the device. I am happy with the keyboard, and always use a mouse, so the odd trackpad location doesn’t bother me. I also don’t understand the complaints about battery life. I am getting three hours from this new device, and it is a top end model with i7 and separate graphics.

If you want a superbly built device that will offer the versatility of a second screen, this laptop will be perfect for you. I have no doubt that this latest 13th gen version will not be my last. It has made me a firm advocate of Asus.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our Usershis is a great laptop…BUT the only issue I have is it doesn’t work well with KVMs
I have 2 kvms, tried both and while video switches fine, it doesn’t reinitiate the Keyboard and mouse, as a result you have to unplug the USB link, and plug it in.
excessive wear on the port….as I switch 4-5 times a day.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI love this laptop. By far the best I have had. i am a Law student and am often working from several documents at once in class, and the second screen makes swapping between screens a thing of the past. I have Word on the main screen, and usually a statute or judgment in the left of the bottom screen, and instructions at the bottom right. Has speeded things up enormously and allowed me to actually concentrate more in class and not frantically switch between screens etc.

I have four hours continual lessons where I am on it almost constantly. The battery is usually around 40-50% at the end from fully charged, depending on how heavily I am using it. That is more than good enough for my needs.

The screen resolution is amazing on both, and both are touch screens. Makes me wonder how I ever coped with a normal laptop! A great buy. Expensive, yes, but you do get what you pay for, and this is paying for itself in terms of productivity.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersBought this to replace an older i7 Dell with a puny GPU. I mainly use it for video, photo and 3D and the Asus Zenbook handles it all just fine. It’s never going to beat a massive PC GPU but it really isn’t that far off.

Good things: Main screen is gorgeous. Colours and brightness (after a small twiddle) are bang on. I can’t see a Retina display being that much better. Secondary screen is really really useful – especially using the ProArt Creater Hub software, which makes the secondary screen a touch pad control unit – a proper game changer. Touch screen quality is phone-level.

Battery life – 6 hours using intensive Adobe Premier – that’s really not bad given the GPU is blasting along.

Build quality and packaging – As lovely as an Apple, all I can say. Plus the military grade (really?) chassis does feel properly solid.

Things to note: You have to spend a couple of hours setting it up properly – update the GPU drivers, install the ProArt software, twiddle with the brightness and definitely put the little stick on legs on the bottom as it does get warm.
The keyboard and mouse takes a day to really get used to, but it’s worth the learning curve. Anyway, if you use an external mouse it doesn’t really matter.
Only one standard USB-B port – there are two USB-C’s which is great but means you need a B to C adaptor if you want to plug (more than one) standard USB peripheral in. About 16 on here.

Conclusion: You know you want it. You know people are going to see the second screen and go wow. It’s a Porsche of a laptop – got the looks and power, got the quirks but it really does do the job. Anyone using a laptop for media creation professionally, need look no further.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have to say this is a really nice laptop.

I don’t do much apart from office and PDF work so this is fast. Responsive. Decent battery (although I try not to max out brightness etc).

Some people complained about keys and keypad. I don’t mind them. I actually like the feeling of the keyboard. As touch screen I don’t use the touch pad but when I do not major issue. Overall good.

    No complaints.

Too early to give proper review.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI have been looking to move away from the different cheapy laptops I have been using for a while, and I decided to get something a little bit different.

The 14″ ZenBook Duo is a little bit science fiction – you can’t believe it has so much technology in a 14″ chassis! The top half is a normal laptop, with a high resolution screen, thin bezels and a webcam (that supports Windows Hello). The bottom is the clever bit – the keyboard has been shrunk and compressed a bit, with a touchpad on the side, so that the top half of the deck can support a second fullwidth high resolution touchscreen, tilted towards you. Windows treats this like a second monitor, and Asus has also included some smart software that allows you to reorganise and swap windows, use it as a quick launcher for apps and commands, or use it as a big touchpad.

This makes it a multi-tasking powerhouse – as I type this review on the main screen, I have my email and messages on the second screen. I have also been using it for copy editing – with a main Word document on the big screen and a second reference document on the smaller one, copying and pasting between them.

Everything else is also bang on – loads of ports, strong battery life and a nice clicky action to the keyboard. It is powerful too – everything feels quite zippy with the quad-core 11th Gen i5 processor.

I am really pleased with it – and for only 900 I think it is tremendous value. Asus don’t skimp either – it comes with a leather carry case and a stylus pen for the screens, extras that other manufacturers make you pay more for.

    Highly recommended.

Great product, the screenpad is fantastic and responsive. Windows 11 fully functional. Got some great Asus deals on the side including light room etc. But battery life is terrible probably 3 hours when you are intensively using. Longer pro 5 hours if you do light work and no updates running in the background. So far as you will use it as you home laptop and not substantially during commutes this is really fantastic. I should have waited till black Friday as I would have got an extra 200 pounds off…

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersModel bought: Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED UX8402ZE, RTX3050 Ti.

    PROS
    CPU is very very fast.
    dual screen is incredibly handy.
Not many 14″ laptops with an RTX chip, it can run games to a decent standard.
Very good build quality, feels solid.
    Keyboard keys feel very nice.
Touch screen works well with fingers or supplied pen, on both screens.
touch pad is small but works well.
Headphone audio output is very good.
Plenty of port options including memory card reader.
Can charge it up from USB-C port.

    CONS
    It runs hot.
Fans are noisy when its working hard.
    battery life pretty bad.
Its quite heavy for its size.
Second screen has a grainy look to it.
    Speakers are only average.
Laptop only runs at full speed when its connected to the very large power pack.
Ergonomics are a bit weird due to second screen taking up space.
Asus software that enables the laptop second screen features is only average.

    CONCLUSION
I’m happy with the laptop but I would only recommend it if you really need that second screen. Don’t buy it just for novelty as there are sacrifices made due to the form factor. But if you really need that extra screen space you cant beat it.
The RTX graphics chip eats the battery, the model without RTX will probably have much better battery life, so only get the RTX version if you need it.

    ADVICE
Make sure you run all the Asus updates including Bios.
You will need to play around with the My Asus app to get the screen colours displaying properly. By default its way over saturated.

4.0 out of 5 stars The best laptop if you want dual scree

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersAfter retuning a iMac 27 to amazon because it was too big i began shopping for something a little smaller and as a avid apple fanboy (i know sorry about that ) was looking at MacBook air but this came along in the listings on offer Aswell so did bit homework reviews YouTube etc chose this and let me tell you wow wow wow it’s not perfect but its near on keyboard travel feels perfect, weight a little heavy but remember what it has 2 SCREENS !!!! it’s cool looking well-built comes with case pen (take the battery cover out to activate the pen ) windows 11 has come a long way since i last used (did i mention i was apple fanboy lol ) well i am truly converted to the point i would buy a higher spec one in future . Now onto the slightly negative do not buy if you’re a professional get a better spec one up the asus duo line , battery life not the best about 6 hrs screen resolution needs to be a little better, its perfect if you’re doing bit emailing web surfing, not had the time to do anything great with the second screen but am gonna . this is a great product that will only get better if asus keep it up buy this one if you’re the average joe buy up the asus duo line if you need it every day all day one very happy consumer and that takes a lot for me to say i promise you .
