I bought this in a price drop and I can say that this charger doesn’t disappoint. It is very well made and once you get used to the different configurations and outputs it’s a dream to have. Now instead of several chargers I only need to carry this to simultaneously charge my Chromebook, phone, and other peripherals. If you manage to get in a sale it’s well worth the money.

This charger solved all my problems.

It charges an M1 Max MacBook Pro as well as phones and any other device imaginable.

The great thing is that you only need to remember to take one charger when travelling saving tons of space weight and frustrations !

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersNo earth/ground pin to the power cable / socket, so my metal chassis macbook pro sometimes has that “fizzy” vibration sensation when plugged into this charger. Struggling to find a decent replacement product which doesn’t cost the Earth (pun intended). But hey it’s fine for charging a few phones at once I guess.

When reviewed, this was about 60, and that is the price I will be basing my review on.

Firstly this uses the new GaN technology, allowing very high power in an enclosed space, which is how it can do 108w without overheating. This is a big part of the cost of this device, as it is new technology and not cheap.

This model also has all the modern charging protocols, including the proprietary Apple and Samsung ones, so all the latest devices should be covered.

Build quality is very good, with easy insertion of cables but no looseness. Heating is present especially when using a big laptop or putting the total use above 50W, but it’s nothing out of the ordinary.

Overall I would say that this does what it says and that’s a rare thing these days with chargers. Yes you pay a bit more than the cheapest competitor, but when 100W of power is going near my devices I want the best quality charger, not the cheapest.

    Five stars, just about. Excellent.

Nice little bit of kit. I have it in my desk to charge an iPad Pro, iPhone, batteries and other things. Looks nice, feels premium and works like a charm.

    Powerful

This is a faIrly compact USB charging hub with a nice and simple design. As more devices are now coming with USB-C cables, the mix of 2 USB-C and 2 USB-A ports is appreciated. Overall very pleased with the performance of this USB hub when charging multiple devices. The only negative against it is the higher price.

There are 4 ports on this charging station, 2x USB-C and 2x USB-A – this makes it compatible with a wide variety of devices providing you have the cables required.
The maximum power output of this charging station is 108W so this shares the power depending on what ports are used.

Works well when using the USB-C port to charge my laptop – good as a replacement charger should it be required there.
With phones and tablets, they get charged very quickly due to the power output of this charging station, but this does depend on the output capacity of your cable too.

Though GaN chargers are supposed to give off less heat, I did find that it got fairly hot when charging multiple devices at the same time.

Compared to other charging stations, I do feel that this is priced higher than alternatives, even though it is a GaN charger..

It’s good for travelling as the cable and the station can be stored away. The charging station is chunky but doesn’t take up too much space.

Despite that, very pleased with this charger – allows me to charge my laptop and my other devices at the same time from a single station rather than using multiple things.

Looking at the overall outcome of the product it looks very nice it looks very authentic it looks like something you can easily use you can carry around you can take whatever you need to the actual slots in the slides that you can actually put in are very useful of course and you get a number of it’s easy to actually put any form of items or device on it it’s very convenient is very light meaning easy to carry around wherever you may go it’s not heavy some parts feel like the quality of the material ain’t great because of the type of plastic it’s used for the price I definitely wouldn’t recommend it but that’s because of the actual plastic feeling of it it feels like it can easily be broken but it does do a fantastic job he charges really fast as mentioned it can charge a lot of items at once which is phenomenal because you don’t really get him any charges like this and it also gives the same amount of energy and power to each item now initially some items may require more charge then others and also faster charging however this charging station does not actually provide that ability for all devices however smaller devices and devices with small amount of amps are easily funded with the source of electricity that’s needed to power them up however such larger devices are much more difficult to do so overall it’s a great charging station it does exactly what it’s supposed to do if you’ve got many different phones and tablets and devices I would definitely recommend to get this because it keeps it all nice and tidy as well you don’t have to worry about it because some people may complain that you don’t get the wires with it but I feel like getting your own premium wires is the best way to go of course smaller shorter wires for these type of products would be recommended or though Pete many people may have one of these charging stations in one room where everyone is sharing it with a long extended wires meaning you can be all around Roman using it which is fantastic and is something that’s definitely needed and recommended the actual USB drives are perfectly fine there’s nothing wrong with them all of them work so I’m fantastic really happy with that and I’ve tried the mall at once also and they do a fantastic job so I’m yet to find any faults with it overall it’s something I was incredibly happy to have.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Users: Top Tip : Charge your items needing charged quickly, for a short period of time, meaning that a long charge might not be needed, and you can just top up power during coffee breaks, or dog walking time.

: Top Tip : This review is for the 108W version. Other less powerful versions can be bought from this page, so check that you are buying the correct, and highest power version, the 108W one.

: At 74.49, at the time of writing,

    This :

: Belkin 108W GaN USB Charging Station for Multiple Devices, 2 USB Type C and 2 USB A Fast Desktop Charger Dock Hub for MacBook, Pro, Air, iPhone, Pro, Max, Mini, iPad Pro, Air, Galaxy and More

Looks to be a powerful, flexible, and full of clever stuff, off the wall charging station.

    But…
    Is it any good?
    Is it good value?
Will I get a lovely cup of tea , at any point during this review?
And possibly even a biscuit ?
Well… the answers to these, plus perhaps, one or two, extra, questions, we might accidentally stumble across, during the course of my meandering, and often erratic, review, we should take a closer look… …

    Packaging :
It arrives in a lovely, shiny, professional, retail ready box.
The level of packaging is not excessive, or profligate, and is just enough to keep the product safe, and out of the box in good condition.
It makes a very good first impression.

    Recycling :
Most of the packaging can be recycled, including the inner contents.

    Contents :
Out of the box, and the contents are easily catalogued:
    1 x 108W GaN USB Charging Station
    Nice and simple.
    Just like me.

    Err…

    Build Quality :
The build quality is very good.
It feels chunky, well put together, and solid.
It feels, and looks pretty durable.
There are no visible flaws, no ragged edges, no mould marks, and no gaps.
No telltale rattles, or squeaks that would give away poor workmanship.
It all looks very professional indeed, with all the junctions being beautifully finished.
It’s all nicely done, and looks the business.

    Features :
The charging station is not a big unit.
    It measures : 98 x 80 x 30mm .
It weighs in at 335.7g, which is light enough to allow it to be portable.

It is supplied with a power cable that has a UK 3 PIN, fused, plug.
The power cable measures 1.9M, not including the plug.
Having the plug off the wall, and utilising a separate power hub, it makes it easier to plug in to charge your stuff, as access is not down the side of the sofa, or behind an armchair.

The charging hub uses GaN technology.
This is next level, clever stuff.
It stands for Gallium Nirtide (hence GaN).
Gallium nitride, or GaN, is a material that’s starting to be used for semiconductors in chargers.
It was used to make LEDs starting in the ’90s, and it’s also a popular material for solar cell arrays on satellites.
The main thing about GaN when it comes to chargers is that it produces less heat.
It also charges quicker than conventional chargers.
So that makes this much cooler than traditional chargers.
In both senses of cool .

The charging station has 2x USB-C and 2x USB-A ports, to charge up to 4 devices at 108W of total power output.

    A USB-C PD 3.0 port charges a MacBook Pro from 0-50% in 39 mins.
That shows the power, and the speed of this charging hub.

Intelligent Power Sharing recognizes power needs and distributes proper output to up to 4 devices, without needing to worry about what gets plugged in where.
The hub will allocate power where it is needed, and where it is most effective.

Belkin is a trusted name in charging accessories, and this can often lead to higher prices.
Have a search, and a browse around, before buying, as there could be better value in a non-branded charger.
Having said this, it is reassuring to use a trusted name, and a trusted brand, especially when using plug in accessories.
Peace of mind is worth a few extra pounds.

    Set Up :
Setup is as easy as plugging it in.
And then the scramble to find the correct USB cable.
Always check your “man-drawer”, the place that old batteries, cable ties, keys, and all manner of cables are stashed to be fished out later, once a use has been found for them.
    Every house has a man-drawer.

    Performance :
The hub is perfect during testing.
It didn’t put a foot wrong.
    Phones were charged astonishingly quick.
A USB mouse was charged within an hour.
It was possible to pop anything on charge, and within a short period of time, it was charged enough to be usable, and then charged up fully later on, once it wasn’t needed.
It has the possibility to change the way you charge your peripherals, as getting a few hours from them, means that you don’t need a long charge time, straight away.

    Down Sides :
No downsides were noted during testing.

    Value :
Value wise, it feels like this delivers the goods.
The quality you get with this, makes it a good buy.
I would happily pay the asking price.

    Summary :
    Overall, this is excellent.
It is well designed, with some nice features, and some cool touches.
It is well put together, with a good overall build quality, and some good details.
It is pretty good value, and feels like a good buy.
I am a proud owner, and user, and I am happy to have had the privilege of reviewing it.

I think I can hear the sound of a kettle boiling…
    Ooh, lovely…

    Recommendation :
I do not hesitate to recommend it highly.
The USB charging station, and the cup of tea.

    Biscuit ?

I hope you enjoyed our time together .
Thank you for reading my review .

Ever since Apple decided not to include a charging adaptor for its latest iteration of the iPhone, finding a powerful adaptor is essential for maximising the charging rate.
This USB-C is perfect for this job. Not only is it not large, but it also manages to include two USB-C ports as well as two USB-A ports.
This power charger by Belkin has 108 of power, which is way more than enough to charge your iPhone as well as your MacBook Pro simultaneously.
It’s also very portable and handy if you were on your travels. Having port charging ports is perfect for charging phones, laptops and handheld gaming consoles.
Please note, that charging times are also dependent on the cable you use.
For me, this is a capable and versatile charger that reduces cable clutter.

This review is for the Belkin 108W GaN USB Charging Station for Multiple Devices, 2 USB Type C and 2 USB A Fast Desktop Charger Dock Hub for MacBook, Pro, Air, iPhone, Pro, Max, Mini, iPad Pro, Air, Galaxy and More (108W)

74.49 at the time of review.

Reading through the reviews so far, quite a number are NOT for this 108W charger, so I would suggest ignoring the reviews that aren’t for this 108W charger before making up your mind.

This charger measures 98 x 80 x 30mm and weighs in at 335.7gms so it isn’t that light for travelling with and you only get a UK plug with it. The power cord is 1.9m long (excluding the plugs). There are no USB leads included with it.

Belkin is a well established company and makes good accessories for tech and this is no different. It feels solid, looks good, has a good length of power cord and has 4 output ports, two of which are for fast charging. The ports worked as expected and delivered power to my devices, but be aware that the output is reduced across the ports that are being used, so you won’t get the maximum charge rates if you are using the two USB C or two USB A devices (or all four) at the same time.

The charger does get hot to the touch when using all four ports even with it being a GaN device, but then it is belting out a lot of power.

There are four silicon pads on the underside which stops it moving about, but there aren’t any on the narrow sides which means it is designed to lie flat and not on a side. That may not be an issue but it may not help if you have a vertical space that you might want it to slot into.

Belkin make very good kit and I have a load of stuff that has lasted more years than I will admit to, but this GaN charger has a huge asking price which I think is over the top. It is a good charger, but it is too expensive, is designed to lie flat and it gets really hot so it is 4 stars for this GaN charger. If you have the money you shouldn’t go wrong with this, but I would suggest looking around first before making your decision.

This is a large charger, but that is to be expected when you consider what it does. it can provide power to up to 4 units concurrently, whilst maintaining a high charge rate for them all. Power is available via 2 USB and 2 USBC ports.

Due to its size it does not seem ideal for traveling or carrying around in a laptop bag, although it if replaces 4 separate chargers it might be a viable option for traveling.

Plugs fit comfortably into the sockets – not to tight but certainly not too loose. It seems to be well made and good quality.

  18. RussSikesentk says:

I really like this charger. I can charge all my devices without using all my available outlets. It charges super fast which is a plus. My only issue so far is that there is no indicator light letting you know of any charging all power going to the plug, you just have to check to device is charging. But that may be me just poking holes unnecessarily. I guess this is perfect for people who like complete darkness at night time with no charging lights on.

Needless to say the power this produces is fantastic. I have been using the type c plug a lot this week to charging my iPhone and MacBook and the charging speeds are fantastic. My phone is charged in less than 30 minutes. The design is very compact and sits on top of a desk without standing out too much. The benefits are it’s smaller in size and more portable. It’s not difficult to plug in, into hard to reach ports in office, the added ports make it easy to charge my phone or AirPods in parallel.

I do love the build quality and size of it. However, the charger stays warm when you have it plugged in which isn’t too much of a concern for me but if its not in use I would have liked an off switch of some kind. When you charge a device, it get hotter. it’s the only downsize I feel about this product.

    Highly recommend

Small and powerful, charges my HP zbook quickly and without incident, although you need to ensure you have a 100 or 65w rated cable.

It is heavy but that adds to the feeling of quality. It’s a great size and shape for travelling , although you do notice the weight.

Brilliant that I can charge my laptop, tablet smart watch and Bluetooth speaker all at the same time.

Overall a very good package and an excellent USB block.
