Excellent jacket from Berghaus, fully waterproof and is a seemless fit with their fleece. Fully wind resistant and keeps you warm. Great value for money
This is a goid quality breathable jacket. You also zip in a compatible fleece if desired. Comfortable to wear and fully waterproof due gortex lining.
Spent a while looking at coats, walk lots on Dartmoor. This one does the job, keeps me dry in worst of Dartmoor weather, windproof and breathable. There are cheaper and also more expensive coats but this is worth buying.
I am a delivery driver. And it is perfect to spend several hours in the rain on the motorcycle. Its needs a fleece for the coldest days.
Very nice lightweight jacket. Quality is top notch which I’m impressed with. Bonus of having an inside pocket which I’ve struggled to find in similar jackets of it’s type, perfect for mobile and wallet. I can definitely tell it’s going to last a long time. Would of preferred poppers instead of velcro but because of the quality it’s worth 5 stars. Not had a chance to test it in rain yet but going by other reviews it’s gonna be fine.
Buy one, unless you intend to climb mountains in far away places this jacket is the one to buy.
Excellent lightweight jacket and so far totally waterproof in moderate to heavy rain when out in rain for 40 mins walking. Currently using the berghouse mid layer in the jacket. Very warm but do not overheat when wearing even when the sun comes out. Quality is excellent can not rate this product enough!!
perfect fit. The coat includes a zip arrangement which is fully compatible with my (other make) fleece. It is a quality jacket with proper zips where they are needed (including pockets).
This is as described, lightweight, short just below the hips, 2 lower zipped pockets outside & 1 zipped inside, waterproof outer, inner mesh, with fold away hood (not detachable). Made in Thailand & the same as a previous one I had from a camping shop. All good, would recommend. Can zip a thin fleece under it if needed.
The jacket keeps out the cold and the rain. It is flexible for all seasons beings 3in1outdoor coat.
Size M feet well, I am 177cm but can suits up to 180cm I believe
But wind, waterproof excellent. I also have a Tog waterproof with inner fleece, that fits lovely, so all I would say is that for me Berghaus is a small cut.

I am rather concerned that the jacket closing zip seems rather cheap and cheerfull.
You must ensure that the popper below the zip is closed, to stop it undoing from the bottom of the zip
I have not had a chance to test how waterproof the jacket actually is.
Good fit and comfortable and light to wear. Very breathable and looks good.
Fit is good, used on a drizzly 12 mile walk on Dartmoor no issues
Two zips one for a closer fit; the other for colder weather when you are wearing, say, a fleece and need more room. Quite stylish, too.
I bought a Berghaus Hillwalker waterproof coat to use for regular walks where I need protection against wind and rain. I find that Gore-tex is the only material that can be relied on to be breathable and to have that in a coat in this price range makes it excellent value. The coat is quite light but well made with roomy pockets and a decent hood and the sizing is just right. The only slight disappointment is that the zip is not double ended.
Bought for partner. Looks and fits perfect. Not really had bad weather to try out how waterproof this jacket is!! Will update if there are any issues! Hoping not.
I like the fact it’s very lightweight even with a fleece zipped into it, it’s Gortex but I haven’t had the chance to test it out in bad weather yet.
I was originally going to get the paclite 2, as I was after a gore-tex lightweight and wind / waterproof jacket, but some of the reviews on the paclite said it had let water in after some time, so after some research I chose this one.
I was a bit worried from the photos that this jacket would be too bulky as I wanted something light enough for bike riding, but was surprised how light it is. I only received it today but tried it outside a couple of times in freezing weather with just a shirt on underneath and it’s very warm and completely blocks the wind.
I haven’t tried it in the rain yet but I’m actually looking forward to it raining now to see how well it performs, which I’m sure will be great.
The side pockets are a decent size and comfortable to put your hands in, and it has a single pocket inside again of decent size for most stuff you’d use it for (could fit a phone and power bank + cable in etc).
Would recommend it to anyone looking for a light warm weatherproof jacket.
Over some 40 years of walking and hiking in some bad conditions I have tried all sorts and this jacket is possibly the best I have owned, comfortable, breathable and waterproof. The fit is excellent and as described. Would recommend.
his is surprisingly lightweight, but breathable waterproof and wind proof – with just a light weight fleece ,its handled everything the winter has come up with so far, including some reasonably exposed moorland walks in the peak district. The black colour was 50 less than all others – bizarre but great bargain for a goretex jacket!

The only complaint I have is that unlike the Berghaus it replaced you have to open the coat to access the inside Pocket. Other than that it is everything you expect from Berghaus.
Bought this for a gift for my husband as a replacement for his 13 year plus Berghaus dog walking jacket. Bought another due to the quality and longevity of the item. Almost identical plus a few more design improvements. Hopefully this will last as long but certainly looks attractive as well as practical. He’s really pleased !
Good coat, although size appears a little smaller than my other Berghaus coat when ordered at the same sze.
Obviously waterproof and breathable with a generous fit. Velcro wrist fastenings could be be a bit closer. What is missing though are additional inside map pockets.
I am really pleased with this jacket, although I have not really tested its waterproof capabilities and I would add you would definitely need a sweater/fleece on underneath if its windy/cold. That said this coat is Interactive and you can zip in a berghaus fleece in, I have ordered one.
This coat is waterproof, breathable, well made and a good fit. Having tried other waterproof jackets this one ticked every box. It’s used mainly for dog walking and being out in the rain for upto an hour, I was kept perfectly dry. Surprisingly lightweight too.
The only proben I had was one of the tassel thing had come off zip but I can get replace ments other than that the coat is great would like to know were I bought it from so I can make use of the life time garnte
