Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is quite a good piece of kit but …….
This works well, given that it’s battery powered. 15 litres is not huge capacity but it’s enough to make the machine manageable and not too heavy. I can fill it from my rainwater storage tanks and so use soft water which us great for rinsing paintwork. My first one stopped working for no apparent reason and customer services said I would have to pay for a repair as it wasn’t registered although the date of manufacture was on the label. Nevertheless I sent it back and it was then replaced free of charge. No complaints.

Had this for a couple of weeks now and I absolutely love it I’ve had battery operated jet washers before and all though they are a good idea having the water hose in a bucket is not that good the water is never constant so it affects the pressure but with this the water is contained in the unit so the pressure stays constant and the water gun is nice and small great for getting into small places like wheel arches I wouldn’t even consider any other type of battery jet wash now

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersGreat when you don't have access to a hose pipe.
I got this to wash my car as I don’t have access to a hose pipe. It doesn’t provide a very high pressure but it’s enough to apply foam (with detergent bottle sold seperatly) and for rinsing afterwards. It holds more than enough water to wash a medium size car and the battery lasts for at least 2 uses on the higher pressure setting.

    My husband loves this
Mainly used to clean a motorcycle – after a ride – he just pulls it out and uses it – no hassle

    Great for portable washing
I bought this so I can wash my campervan whilst it is in storage, unfortunately the storage site doesn’t allow us to use their facilities.

I half filled the unit before transporting by car, I then carry loads of 2ltr bottles to fill up and refill. The bottles are reused each time, but the unit is too heavy for me to lift when full so I have no option. There are 3 speeds for the volume of water, I used the highest speed with the spray gun, even with 15ltrs it ran through the water fast. I used 30ltrs to completely wash a campervan in excess of 6 meters long.

Would I recommend it, absolutely. I was using a hand pump unit before and it took forever and wasn’t anywhere near as effective.

The unit is compact, there is a little locker at the bottom for the battery and a locker at the top that stores the spray gun and brush, the hose tucks into a section at the rear of the unit. It’s hard to get back in when finished but you just need a little patience.

The only downside I’ve found is it’s tricky to undo the hose from the unit, I’ve found being careful and using a glove for additional grip does the job, it’s also good to keep the trigger of the gun pressed, this releases the last of the pressurised water. I’m very careful removing and attaching the hose as a lot of the criticisms I read are about the clips breaking…..slowly slowly, gently does it and I hope it will last for years.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIt's excellent, way better than I expected!
Sceptical at first that this would be any good. But it really is! Not as powerful as a mains pressure washer, but good enough to clean desking, and the car. Very happy with it.

    Portable 'pressure' washe
Not really a ‘pressure’ washer. It is okay for washing the car as I live in a flat and have no access to a hosepipe. It wouldn’t be any good for anything stubborn as the pressure is not enough. Does the job I bought it for. iQuite heavy when full and carried down two flights of stairs.

    Good Ki
This is a great piece of kit to aid washing things away from a water source. We are in a water meter so filling with clean rain water was my objective. My main use is for washing my car and find the 1st pressure setting perfect for the brush attachment and then the higher pressure for rinsing off. None of the settings are too abrasive for the paint work. The unit holds all the attachments saving storage. The battery lasts for 2 uses and keeps you up to date with how it’s lasting. It charges up quite quickly as well.

    Works very well
A few years ago I had a similar portable washer from another company. These were fairly new at the time and were marketed towards cyclists at the time. Unfortunately, I only used it infrequently and around 18 months of me owning it I went to use it but found that the battery had died and wouldn’t charge. The battery wasn’t removable/replaceable so I had to regrettably dispose of it.

I was put off purchasing another one for fear of the same thing happening again. Fast forward a few years and I find myself living in a new house where I am unable to get a hose to the front of the property without running it one through the house and risking it leaking all over the place. I started looking for a portable jet wash to be able to 1) clean the car, 2) clean the windows on the front of the house and 3) wash the bike after very muddy rides.

I was surprised to find that there seems to be more variety in the models available compared to a few years ago. Although this was quite expensive compared to some of the others available I decided on this as hopefully being Bosch it will be a little better made and it has a removable battery so if it does fail in the future then this can be replaced with one of their standard batteries. The capacity of this washer is also greater than anything else that seems to be available whilst at the same time being fairly portable – be aware that when this is filled with water it’s quite a heavy beast and some could struggle with lifting it. It does have wheels and an extending handle which makes moving it around easier though.

I used this for the first time yesterday to hose down the windows after cleaning them. I am extremely pleased with the way it performed. It was powerful enough to be able to reach the first story windows on the one setting and contained plenty enough water and battery to complete the job. In fact the battery is still showing two thirds full and I had it running for a good 10 minutes or so. Battery capacity should be plenty for any jobs that I see myself doing. You should easily be able to wash 2 cars on a full charge.

Theres only 2 small niggles that I had with this which I’ll mention. When I first connected it and switched it on I thought it was faulty. It takes quite a long time for it to start working and there was no noise to indicate that it was working. In fact I had to dig the manual out again for another read to find that it states it takes around 10 seconds for it to start operating. However once it started spraying water, I never experience this delay again, even after switching it off/on again. So just be aware of this the first time you use it.

The other issue I had is that after connecting the one end of the hose to main unit it was very difficult to remove it again. I had no problem removing the spray gun end, which incidentally has the exact same fitment. I don’t know whether this will be an issue next time or whether it will become a bit easier over time. It would have also been nice if the hose could have been folded to fit in a trapdoor section like the brush and spray gun. It does fold and fit in an attachment on the rear but this isn’t as quick and easy to do.

Overall I am very happy with the washer and will find it extremely useful in the future. I only hope that it lasts for many years to come. I recommend this product.

    Great Portable Washe
After 2 months of using it, I can say it is quite worth the money. I previously had a Karcher portable OC3 model but it wasn’t as powerful as the Bosch and the capacity was much smaller. Yes the Bosch can be heavy if you fill it in completely but the pressure and the capacity are enough for the small jobs I bought if for : car and bike cleaning, gutter washing and patio cleaning. I use it almost every week.

So far so good then but my only worries is the built quality. The plastic feel cheap and not very well adjusted, but maybe it’s just an impression and this thing will last. I will update my review in a few months time if anything bad happens to it.

    Good Device
One battery (2.5mah) lasts for 5 re fills of 15ltr.
Washed 1 mountain bike (covered in mud) and 2 cars on one battery and 5 refills.
Brought for Mountain Bike to wash before loading into car and will do that perfectly on one fill of tank.
    Fantastic.

Good qual.Good quantity of water held and reasonable pressure for a portable battery operated washe
Generally very pleased. BUT – The hose is very difficult to remove after use. The outlet nozzle is vulnerable to knocks. Being plastic, it could easily be broken especially when the hose is attached

Works well; very pleased with my purchase
Our water pressure is too low for a power washer attachment. This has solved our problem. Well designed; 15 lt water capacity is adequate for my needs particularly if I use the lower pressures (which are good). A satisfied custome

    Great product but...
I think this is a terrific machine. Interestingly, after I received my pressure washer, Amazon reduced the price by 60. I cannot help but feel a little hard done by.
Furthermore, I do wish that someone would tell Amazon that I have received this item if only to make my account look a little neater.

    Expensive but great produc
We purchased this to clean out caravan as we only have access to water where we store it and no electricity. Because of lockdown, I’ve only recently manged to use it to clean the caravan. Until now I’ve only used it on my car. What a brilliant piece of kit. I did; however, but a second battery just is case and glad I did. On a full charge and set to high power, (there are three settings) you can spray approximately four refills of the water tank (4 x 15 ltr) The only downside I found is that you cannot put soap/chemicals in the water tank so I purchased Pro-Kleen Snow Foam and a snow foam sprayer. It really does make light work of cleaning a car or caravan. I spent a day and half cleaning my caravan a few weeks back as I hadn’t touched it since last year. I lost count of the people who stopped and asked about the Fontus as they were amazed by how easy it made cleaning a caravan.

Pricey but good, portable outdoor washe
This is not a pressure washer for high pressure cleaning of cars or patios: an 18V battery in a mobile washer can’t be that. However, for small jobs in areas where it is hard or inconvenient to get a hose to it is very useful. I have found it most useful for cleaning bird crap off garden furniture and cars, and washing muck off outside doors and windows. The washer is sufficiently pressurised that with its brush attachment it is easy to clean these, and getting the hose to them would be difficult.

I’ve marked 4 stars for portability because filled with water it is quite heavy which would be fine but when wheeling it over rough areas the cap for the water tank can pop off which needs watching; and 4 stars for value for money because it is more expensive than some comparable products (but I’m reasonably loyal to Bosch and assume it will last).

Well made, but little under powered
Very well made and very easy to use. I was a little disappointed with the overall output power. It won’t blast insects off the front of a vehicle. But lots of uses and extremely portable. Great battery life.

Probably the best portable jet washer - if only it had a foam lance
I have used other portable pressure washers in the past which provide a hose pipe like stream of water but this is almost as good as a mains powered pressure washer. The water steam on the highest setting is strong enough to be painful on the skin. I use it for both washing my bikes and my car.

I drive an Audi estate and it has enough capacity to pre rinse, and then rinse again after hand washing with car shampoo. This includes double rinsing the wheels after applying a wheel cleaner. There is usually enough left to rinse out the buckets as well.

For my bikes i can easily get through two complete bike washes without a full tank and the power is brilliant for stripping grease from the chain.

Having a hand held gun instead of a lance is great for control and accurae washing. I haven’t needed to use the brush attachement so can’t say anything about that. It is a well built sturdy unit, that feels like it will last. And I could see the ability to swap battteries with other Bosh tools as being useful but you will run out of water way before the battery needs charging. I wouldn’t be suprised if i could empty the tank 6 times or more on the full setting on one charge.

If i was to nitpick, i would a gun that had the foam bottle, failing that using hozelock standard fittings could give more options. I would prefer if the wheels had a rubber coating and the battery compartment door latch can be finkey at times. A bigger tank would be nice but so far hasn’t been essential

    Good little uni
Really pleased with this little unit, arrived well packaged. On time. Quite powerful for a battery powered unit. Managed to rinse the while off my car with water to spare and half a battery left too. Don’t understand the negative feedback. Good for what it is. Would buy again.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat for motorbikes or pushbikes
Was apprehensive about buying this is it is expensive and I was dubious about power/flow of water…BUT just used it to clean my bike and it is excellent! I used it on full power it is just right for getting worst of the crap off and the 15 litres let me do my whole bike. Sprayed on Muc-off, went and refilled it, and then washed the Muc-Off off! Pressure washers are too strong for bikes and damage bearing, this is just right. It’ll be brilliant for watering my plants and doing the window frames too. I don’t have an outside tap so needed a solution like this. Perfect. Will try and post a video later.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersArrived quickly - plan if you need extra battery
This arrived very quickly and was perfect for the small courtyard to be cleaned. The capacity of 15 litres gives around 5 minutes continuous operation at full power, so my approach was to have a second battery on charge while spraying, then put the first battery on charge while refilling and spraying using the second battery. By cycling around like this, I managed to do the job over a period of about 40 minutes. So, if you plan to do something similar without access to a hosepipe for water supply, and can have a couple of chargers on the go at the same time, then this pressure washer is just what you need. Obviously, it does not have the power of a mains powered and hose-pipe connected one but it is a well-designed, easy to use, and convenient piece of kit.

    Expensive product that works well
Great product and does what it says on the tin. The dowside being the cost of the Fontus, its expensive for what it is. The battery although good for three full tanks of water seems to discharge itself so needs charging before use if not used for a week +. Charge time though is very quick.

Great piece of equipment for cleaning my caravan in a storage yard. Not too powerful that it would damage decals and sealants 15 litres washed about half of the caravan. The battery life was good managed to wash the whole caravan without flattening the battery. Quite expensive first one sent didn’t work although it replaced very quickly. A little annoyed that the price has dropped by 60 from when i bought it.

Great product very mobile easy to use rugged build as it is a Bosch and its German i love German products the attention to detail is crazy everything fits within this compact unit. dont get me wrong its not a powered pressure washer but if you are restricted for electric and water supply then this is the solution i have tried the worx its not practical as again you need to carry water and hoses etc this is basically fill up roll out and get the job done easily can wash a car no problem. So please as i have said it designed for a purpose and that is mobility for that reason alone its a 5 star product its robust and definitely tough construction and i am using it daily as it is accessible all you do is recharge the battery which is only 1 hour than you get a charge of 30 mins to 1 hour dependant on the setting that you use and there are 3 in total min. mid and max.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersEasy to use but not much powe
I bought this to water the front garden as it’s a pain getting a 100ft hosepipe from the tap at the back of the house to stretch round to the front of the house and even then it doesn’t reach everywhere. The good thing is it’s easy to put it together and it wheels to wherever you want to use it. The only downside using it for this is that it doesn’t hold a lot of water – probably about 4 watering cans worth so if I want to water more than the pots at the front I have to take it back to the tap to fill it up again a few times. Still easier though.
The other thing I bought it for was to use the jet setting on the spray to shift bird muck off the paths as it’s not worth getting the mains pressure washer out just for that. I was disappointed with this aspect as the jet spray setting doesn’t seem any more forceful than the jet setting on the spray gun attached to the ordinary hosepipe. Because the Bosch has a motor powered by the battery I assumed it would have more power than the hosepipe. I knew it wouldn’t match the mains pressure washer but I expected more from it.
So all in all it works and is easy to use. Saves lugging watering cans to parts of the garden where the ordinary hosepipe struggles to reach but it’s proven to be expensive just for that and had I known about the low power I don’t think I would have bought it.

Arrived quickly and well packaged. Considering the price and manufacturer, I had high hopes for this product. I was not disappointed. If like me you live in an apartment and do not have access to a water supply or power this is the perfect tool for washing your car in the street. Well constructed, except for the poorly designed battery cover which is difficult to operate and is likely to break or fall off at some point. Otherwise it’s great for washing a medium size car with about half of the 15L water capacity. It’s quite heavy with a full tank so getting the measure of what you need makes it easier to wheel around. I bought a 15L “caravan” water tank and fill the Bosch from that in the street. You still need a bucket and sponge as detergent does not go in the Bosch machine. Its more like a pressurised hose than a real pressure cleaner but make no mistake, for cleaning cars it’s all you need.
