This fridge is like owning a Mercedes car. The quality and robustness is unmatched. Yes you pay more, but it will last you a lot more. Also the fridge’s design is superb as styling and user experience is concerned. The only drawback is the wine rack that is offered, I did not need it and I bought an extra shelf from Bosch.

It has an extra cooling box that keeps vegetables super cold. I’ve had this for 6 months now and haven’t seen a spot of ice. True no-frost.

Very happy with this fridge, will probably last for a long time

Everything seems good with this fridge/freezer. Freezer and fridge sections very spacious. Only one small problem is that fridge temperature is much too cold, it was spoiling many fruit and veg. Finally I turned down to the lowest possible temperature where it seems to be ok.

Fridge is great size, well built and functions are good. Delivery was shoddy as the drivers dumped and run as couldn’t be bothered to help get in house

Have had this fridge freezer for a month now, it is working fine, you don’t have to defrost it as it makes no ice, plenty of storage and keeps food very fresh not at all noise.

I was looking for a fridge freezer, just under 60 cm with good capacity on this fridge freezer ticks all the boxes, amazing capacity for the width, but makes up because it’s sightly taller, took me ages to find this fridge freezer that would fit in the space with good capacity and energy efficient as much as a fridge freezer could be

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersReplaced our 20 year old Bosch Fridge Freezer which had seen better days. We had a new kitchen installed and decided to buy a new fridge freezer that would fit the space. The width of the new fridge freezer was same as the old and although the new fridge freezer is deeper we managed to get it to fit. Looks good, nice bright internal light and the wider door shelves makes storing plastic milk bottles easier. Hope this one lasts 20 years.

4.0 out of 5 stars Deeper than older models

Our old Fridge/Freezer breathed its last, and we luckily picked this one of the many for sale out there. We would highly recommend this Bosch Fridge Freezer for its superb ease use, capacious space and it’s beautiful look.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI used to run three separate devices, a separate fridge, a freezer, and a mini fridge and these appliances had a combined energy usage of about 230 Watts. Read to the end to see how much I save!

The Bosch KGE49AICAG Serie 6 Freestanding fridge has a Class C energy rating and is well worth the 750-800 as it is probably the best bang for your buck in its class. I researched probably over 30 refrigerators before I bought it and so far I’m really happy with it. It is mahoosively big and roomy, standing probably over 6ft tall, 70cm across and 64cm deep, and is whisper quiet. The controls are intuitive, with an LED display and buttons to turn the refrigerator and freezer temperature up or down and there is an obligatory temperature alarm.

I bought one of those Energy plug meters, the “Yurayisen Power Meter Electricity Usage Monitor,13A Energy Monitor” specifically to measure the Bosch beast and the device was pretty accurate as I tested it against a 14watt lamp and a 400-1200 Watt variable electric heater.

Basically, the Bosch KGE49AICAG only uses circa 21-22 Watts of electricity, which is insanely little compared to my old equipment (230 Watts combined) and will pay for itself in no time at all!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Energy Efficiency Without Breaking the Bank (Bosch KGE49AICAG)

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’m not reviewing the fridge freezer. It’s a Bosch. It’ll be fine. However PLEASE NOTE, ‘installation means carry to the appropriate room and push into its hole. If the plug needs removing to get the cable to the appropriate socket, they will refuse, even if the 2 are a mere 6″ apart. Instead they will advise you to cut a hole in your kitchen wide enough to push a plug through. REMEMBER, ‘install’ means carry, push & test. NOT A THING MORE!

I read all the reviews which largely seemed to be positive so I gambled & trusted them, & decided to but this product. I have to say it is excellent. Just as described. It is also easy for me to move around the kitchen by myself. When u open the fridge door, it is nice & bright. All shelves are well spaced apart.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGood distribution of fridge and freezer capacity for a couple. If door orientation is important read the instructions before starting up because changing the door orientation is complicated and you need to lay the fridge/freezer down to change doors over.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a very smart fridge/freezer however although the doors ARE reversible it could do with there being somewhere on the order form to state whether left or right hand door hinges are required.
The one I got the hinges were on the wrong side for my requirements and, as a special tool is required this could cause a serious problem. Fortunately my son purchased the tool and did the job for me but not everyone would be as lucky.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe’ve had a Bosch frige/freezer for over 25 years & it was still working, just the compartment trays were trashed by the wife trying to cram too much in.
This new one is so much bigger, so much quieter & frost free. Bought an extra glass shelf from Bosch to replace the wine rack, giving so much more useful space too.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersDelivered to my kitchen, which was helpful. Well packaged, no sign of scratches or other damage. Left overnight then turned on. Quietest fridge I have ever owned. Well built. Only time will tell as regards durability, for the money a good buy. Recommended.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGreat fridge Freezer.
The no frost claim is true which makes the freezer section so much easier to use.
It uses air flow, to provide cool air, which runs perhaps more frequently than my very old unit, but as its very quiet this is not a problem.
The only issue is the position of the door handles (Holes), which might be difficult for older people or people with reduced dexterity.
Overall I’m very pleased with this purchase, the unit looks good, has finishes that are easy to clean, wheels at the rear to allow movement into the available space (And removal for cleaning)
I purchased because of the reduced depth, which allows fitting in a standard kitchen layout with water pipes restricting the depth of the unit I could install. This fits well and overcomes this issue.

Very spacious, extremely quiet and very cold at lowest settings. Freezer door requires a lot of strength to open – fridge door a lot easier. I particularly like the small extras – digital displays, alarm if doors left open etc. Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBosch products I really like, as they are so reliable. My last fridge-freezer was a LG very spacious and it lasted 15 years. In that 15 years fridge and freezer trays needed replacing but could not as the product was discontinued. So I turned to Bosch for my replacement as my last Bosch washing machine lasted as long as my last fridge-freezer purchased around the same time. I have been impressed by my Bosch washing machine so thought I would stick with this company. Happy I did I am loving my new fridge-freezer and its design inside. Delivery was prompt and efficient as was the setting up by the two delivery guys who were also efficient and polite.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersBought this to replace an ageing Beko fridge freezer.

Very impressed with it so far. It is quiet and using noticeably less electricity than my old fridge, despite maintaining cooler temperatures.

The noise it makes is very low and pleasant. You can barely hear it. My old fridge made a din like a cement mixer full of nuts and bolts.

The internal plastics are a little thin but then that’s nothing unusual. Even in something like a Miele you can readily break the plastics if you aren’t careful.

My one complaint is that there isn’t a temperature indicator for the fridge compartment. Had to spend a few quid to pick up one to use.

This fridge is a little bigger than my old one. My old one was 55x55x180. So this one is about two inches bigger on all sides. There is so much more room inside, despite that fact that is uses less power. It’s actually amazing how much bigger that is inside. It’s a bit Tardis!

One thing I particularly like with this fridge is the shelves and draws and so on are all in the right place for me. Everything seems very sensibly laid out. My only tiny complaint is that the large freezer tray in the middle is too big. I think it would have been better if all three were the same size. This is a small complaint though.

One difference that I suppose is down to particular manufactures and models is the draws in the Bosch are much easier to slide in and out than my old Beko. The draws in the Beko used to partially derail and get stuck.

Very highly recommended. I would definitely buy another Bosch.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI love the look of the fridge freezer. It has a really nice finish to it and is well made inside. The the shelves are strong and robust.
Ideally I would have preferred a freezer with four shelves but this ticked all the other boxes.
This fridge freezer is so quiet it’s delightful! At first I thought it wasn’t working but it runs great.
My only gripe is the fridge door doesn’t always close properly and I have had to get used to ensuring its closed. If the door is left open the alarm is very quiet. You wouldn’t hear it if you were out of the kitchen.
I am very happy with this fridge freezer and would highly recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFridge is spacious with deep shelves and has an excellent capacity.
Freezer drawers brilliant design with large central drawer. This is great if you have a turkey or large item to freeze. Very deceptive in size. Stores so much
    No bending to access fridge.
    Delivered promptly.
Only one downside delivery guys wouldn’t unpack it and it was quite difficult for two pensioners.

Bosch is obviously great and this appliance is no exception. It’s quite spacious inside. It’s also priced reasonably. However, it is a bit too noisy; nothing unbearable but I wished and expected less noise. The least favorite part is the place of the temperature control: you have to open the door to change the temperature whereas I would have loved to be bale to do that without opening the fridge.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersWe bought this fridge freezer as we were in a panic as our old integrated fridge freezer had been on its legs for an age and after it heated the food to 20C we knew it was over.

After looking around for a more eco friendly fridge freezer after Which? changed the levels so there are less A+++++ items ti’s was the best we could find at a competitive price.

The fridge freezer is big! It’s so spacious we almost don’t know what to do with all the new space. As it cools it gurgles and groans, but it’s not too loud.

Best item we’ve bought in a long time.
