Respected Quality Brand
Found these Laminate jigsaw blades (cut opposite to usual blades) perfect for cutting some 8mm plywood that I was using as Artist Picture Board. As it was already primed I didn’t want a lot of tearout. Longevity is still to be proved but Bosch products have proved themselves to me in the past.
They perform well. Good, clean-cutting blades.
The quality of finish on these ‘expert’ branded blades is a cut above the norm, and they are pleasingly rigid in use with no sense of wander. I have not used them for plunge cutting yet,but the design and finish of these blades suggest that they should be able to do this with ease. They do not splinter the wood, leaving a clean finish on the workpiece both top and bottom. These jigsaw blades are a tad pricey, but the higher quality of finish probably justifies it. I anticipate good durability from these blades.
Best blades by far, proper Bosch produc
Nice slim clean cutting blade, ideal for curves or tricky shapes. Razor sharp so take care. These Bosch blades are really miles better than the non Bosch stuff on sale. Buy cheap buy twice was never truer than when buying Jigsaw blades. Excellent product highly recommended.
Great product lousy delivery
The product is what I would expect from Bosch however it was delivered a day early and I had specifically gave a delivery slot. It was not pushed into the letter box as stated on my delivery advice it was put behind a plant and left in the pouring rain so that the packaging was saturated.
Good for cutting oak shelves
These blades have done an excellent job, much better for cutting oak hard wood that the blades that came with my jigsaw. They cut true and smoothly, and didn’t suffer from flexing.
Doesn’t fit Lidl Parkside jigsaw
Updated review: Not sure whose fault it is but these don’t quite fit the Parkside jigsaw after all. Blades seem to be able to be attached securely and you might get lucky with a couple of cuts like I did initially, but in fact the blade can easily slip from the guide during sawing causing bendy cuts and other problems. Front to back dimension is larger than the Parkside blade that came with the machine. Given the reputation of the companies, I expect this is a Lidl problem, not a Bosch problem.
Initial review: Cutting 12mm hardwood plywood was easy and clean with this Bosch jigsaw blade. All sides of the workpiece get a nice, clean cut edge. No splintering. Night and day difference in both speed and quality of cut compared to the blade that came with the Lidl Parkside jigsaw.
Good blades
Used to trim a round top for an oak table. They were relatively robust and with care I managed a vertical cut (not bevelled). Good job I had five as they don’t remain sharp for very long – hence not the full 5 stars but very good and did the job. I would buy again.
Perfect For Decking
Had some 3cm decking boards that needed cut to make a temporary floor for my bin store. Couldn’t be bothered setting up my circular saw and given the tolerance needed, knew I could get away with using my jigsaw. Blades cut through the wood with zero problems, even when I hit knots.
Turn your jigsaw into a mini chainsaw!
I got these blades for some cuts into studwork which needed a bit more depth than felt comfortable with a standard blade. They’re chunky and longer than I think you’re ever going to need with a jigsaw, so well worth having in the toolbox if you have deep cuts which aren’t really possible with a circular saw (and you don’t have a band saw). Note that due to their size, you’re not going to go around any corners, maybe a long gentle curve if you need it.
Item as picture not descriptio
These blades are great, but you get 2 x T101 BIF and 1 x T101 AOF – so thats 2 for straight cuts and one for curved cuts.
A bit miffed as I wanted straight cuts only. I wanted this brand as I had used before – when it cuts laminate flooring the edge is perfect. No chipping at all so gives a super straight edge. Takes it slow and steady – no need for taping or any other tricks. Makes the job so much nicer and easier.
Great blade for weekend warriors
Don’t be scared of down cut blades, you’re holding the jigsaw onto the workpiece regardless of up/down cut.
Used for a diy project cutting 18mm hardwood ply. Got the whole project done with 1 blade, including some tight corners that really needed a narrower blade, although these did cause some burn marks.
Using masking tape on the reverse side helps to reduce tear out but there will still be some as is the jigsaws nature when cutting ply, a sacrificial piece of wood may help further but will slow the cutting speed.
Laminate flooring is mostly made of compressed paper with a printed wood pattern on, stuck on top of an HDF (high density fibreboard). Therefore, having the right tool to cut this accurately and without damaging the surface can be important. These blades do just that, mostly because they offer a finer cut with the teeth cutting on the downward stroke, rather than the usual jigsaw blades’ upward cut that could damage the laminate surface.
These did the trick for me and provided an impressively neat finish — so much so that it looked like a factory cut. The three blades offer two types, with two general purpose laminate cutting and the third a smaller and finer cutting blade for more accurate work.
Recently laid and cut 10mm B&Q “Good Home” laminate to fit a fairly irregular 15m2 kitchen, and was recommended specific laminate blades by one of the staff. Was able to complete the job comfortably with the two larger blades provided, with very little wear on the second by the time I was done. Glad I took the advice and went for specific laminate blades, as I tested a regular smooth-cut blade on some off-cuts out of sheer curiosity and it was knackered and toothless within five minutes. Well worth the money, but if you are working on a larger kitchen I’d recommend buying a couple of packs to be safe.
