These shorts are very comfortable. Perfect fit for me 36″ waist, sit just above the knee. Lightweight too.

2 velcro side pockets, one of which has a loop presumably to attach car key for example.
2 more velcro pockets at the rear and 2 front open pockets.

These trousers are so nice to wear. Great for walking and I love to travel in these. They are so comfy and great to turn into shorts when it heats up or you get off a plane in a hot country. I’ve just bought another two pairs. Sizing is spot on.

I find it really hard to find slim non baggy hiking trousers. These are a great fit! Lightweight and lots of pockets. I’d like the shorts a bit higher but could be worse. Will probably buy another pair. More range of colours would be good too!

Good fit, helped by dual features of elasticised waistband and webbing belt. Rip-stop material is light-weight, yet still feels like good quality. It is also quick-drying, aided by mesh pocket lining. Pockets are also very usable.

I bought these shorts to replace a pair of Colombia Titanium shorts I’d had for quite a few years. I like Colombia shorts because they are made from a lightweight fabric so ideal for the summer, rather than the thick chino-style shorts, and they’re quick-drying. My previous pair had narrow legs and I was fairly confident these would too (they do). Overall, a very nice pair or shorts but at just over 40 they were expensive. But given they had the features I wanted I think they were worth it.

Used for a long weekend away as limited items allowed in travel bag.. departure and return worn as trousers.. couple days sun so perfect worn as shorts… found them to be perfect weight for warm climate but maybe a bit baggie around legs.. But I think possibly that’s the fashion now?? Great quality well made product.. plenty pockets for wallet, passport, reading glasses and sun glasses with lots spare … pack down well too.. I would highly recommend..

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersInitial review, will revisit in six months after I have had some use in them. Edging my bets after the boots from the same company failed after 6-7 months of use.

For now, great light weight. Dry very quickly after getting wet (weather permitting). They do get wet quickly, walking through long grass with dew and was soaked. Lightweight and very useful during the recent hot spell. Suspect they will only be useful in Summer and warm Spring/Autumn days.

Very well made smart pockets around the trousers are more helpful than originally thought.

Favorite part of the trousers is when they are shorts only as they have great fitting and look great. Worth buying these if going for hike at it meants you have to carry less weight.

These hiking trousers are well made and I found them to be true to size. I find them cool and comfortable to wear. Even though the fabric is lightweight it appears to be durable being a “rip-stop’ type material. I have only given four stars for two reasons. Firstly I would have preferred zips to the pockets to make them more secure. Secondly, to zip off and remove the bottoms you have to remove your shoes. These are fairly small points however and overall I am pleased with the purchase.

Bought these for my son to go camping and he loves them, the fit is perfect and quality is excellent. The shorts on there own are also very smart. I managed to get these at a great price and wouldn’t hesitate to buy another pai

Arrived on time and well packed.there super light and thin perfect for summer walks.theres no stretch.i have real thighs not twiggs so there’s no excess flappy material.im in-between sizes so went for the bigger size glad I did.the left leg pocket as a loop to hold a water bottle doubt I’ll use it for that but a os map does fit in the left pocket the belt it comes with is a little cheap if I’m honest on the whole great shorts.

This product is a good fit and the leg length of 30 inches was great for my hight 5ft 8in
they wash really well but I don’t tumble dry them they dry overnight no problem
I wore them in a heavy down pore and they dried very quickly a great product.

Overall happy with these. Good pair of walking trousers. Plenty of pockets with a zip on one side for money/valuables and light weight. Conversion to shorts is easy and the legs are clearly labelled for reattaching. The only warning I’d give is to go for a size up from your usual size. I’m a 34 in trousers from other brands and these are definitely a bit snug.

I purchased a pair of these Columbia Silver Ridge II shorts in a size 38″ waist and 10″ inside leg. Having tried them on I can say they are a ‘comfortable’ fit. However, I would definitely suggest you consider buying a size up from your normal waist size if you don’t want a looser fit.
The shorts are manufactured to a high standard, are lightweight and fold down to a very small size, great for holidays when suitcase space/weight can be an issue.
With six pockets, one to rear, two to front, two side pockets one of which has a zip side pocket there are plenty of options for storing personal items. The front and rear pockets are mesh lined, but its a thick mesh, presumably to aid drying.
In conclusion these are stylish shorts which can be worn anywhere.
    Highly recommended.

I’ve been searching for ages for a replacement for my original North Face Paramount Peak Mk 1s and 2s (the current mk3s were just plain awful!). If you’re fairly slim in the hips and don’t have an enormous backside, these are the ones to go for. Well supplied with cargo pockets for left or right handed wearers. Clearly labelled detachable legs. Comfortable and not too long in “shorts-mode”. Fabric has slight stretch that makes them comfortable to wear throughout a long flight and still arrive at your destination looking presentable.

I bought these for the Gurkha Walk 2019, when you foolishly enter a competition to walk 100Kms non-stop. I did about 70km in these bad boys. They were lightweight and comfortable, and when the heavens opened, they dried off quickly. So in all regards a good buy.

These are great quality, lightweight shorts ideal for hiking.

Disappointingly, just like all manufacturers of walking / hiking apparel, they assume everyone buying their stuff is of a slight build. I’m a 32 waist but have big legs. I ordered a size up as I thought that would do it. In the end I got a 36 and they just about go round my thighs. Thank goodness for the integrated belt.

This gets 4 stars as they are no worse than any of the others, it’s just frustrating ever being able to buy your actual size!
