I’ve used these diggers along with a spray and sticky traps. They work to keep our clothes moth problem under control. Only downside is the smell afterwards takes ages to disperse – it’s a low level smoky sulphur smell. I treated my bedroom over a week ago and I’ve been airing it out 24/7 even sleeping with the window open using oil diffusers and incense and the smell still hasn’t gone. I’m going to try another brand next time as it’s not pleasant to tolerate and although the company have assured me the active ingredient Permethrin is certified safe for domestic use I do worry about what it may do to my health if I can still obviously smell the stuff.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI set off all 4 bombs to cover the whole house and it seems to have done the job as I hoped for. I only allowed for 2hrs of smoke as I misread the instructions (it’s supposed to be for 4hrs) but it has worked. The “burning” smell did linger for around 3 days which is a bit annoying but it does go with good ventilation. And better that than bugs and moths! Would 100% buy agai

So far so good, note to anyone who is silly like me, please turn the smoke alarms off before using these.

So far it seems to be working.

Best and easiest way to get out those little buggers in your house. Just light up the bomb and leave for couple hours. Advice, dont put them straight on the carpet it will leave like burn mark on it.

I ise this product in a 3 X 3 mts shed and with only one smoke bomb it was enought even with spiders. It is really easy to use.

Obviously these have to be smelly so I can’t complain about that. Had a real moth plague and these solved the problem very quickly. Only word of warning -read the instructions carefully as by their very natuer these are toxic.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI used 3 in a two bed semi. Cellar, living room and bedroom.

I left the house for 5 hours while they burned and I returned to a visible smoke all through the house and dead moths, wood lice and flies.

Mild residual smell but not particularly unpleasant or strong.

    Would recommend

I’ve tried many makes of flea bombs with no effect. My son who’s a dog groomer recommend critter kill.
It worked a treat it’s been about 5 months now and not a cat flea in sight. I would recommend this product and the seller. Delivery was quick too.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersDid the trick and got rid of a fleas infestation left by my a tenant at a rental… for about 2 weeks… then they came back and I called in a professional to do it anyway. I had these situated all over the house too. Wish I’d called the professional out first to be honest. These things are straight forward to use – you just need a metal tray under it so it doesn’t burn your surface and remember to get rid of any smoke alarms as you can’t get back in afterwards. If you’ve got a small area you’ll be fine but will need multiple treatments. The problem is that they leave a stench afterwards that take days to clear where a professional who uses sprays don’t have any of that! It puts you off doing a second treatment !

Used this couple of times for good measure but also used other products in same room to increase effectiveness. Great if you need to bomb the room as a general but not going to get into cracks and sub surfaces so needs to be used with some extra products to make sure you get to places the smoke won’t reach or penetrate.

We had mosquitos and insects in our bedroom in Cyprus. I lit a smoke bomb for 3 successive weeks and it does appear to have done the trick! I always left the windows/door closed for atleast 2 hours. The weather has cooled now and insects are not such a problem, but I am pleased to have found this product and will use again in the spring. Not cheap though.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersReally great product. I have recently had a new shed built as my old one was falling apart. I’m going to be using the shed for storage and a workshop. A number (approximately 20 which I could see daily) of large spiders and I’m assuming loads of smaller ones decided to call this place home. I served them their eviction notice by means of this XL smoke bomb. Some of the spiders must’ve taken action and moved on, and the ones that stayed, well you can read about them at the bottom of this review. The smoke bomb didn’t disappoint. I lit it at night time so that people wouldn’t think my shed was on fire. The smoke initially was really intense, then it died down and just hung around. Went in two days later and left the door open to ventilate. Dead spiders everywhere. Just need to sweep them up and dispose of them. Will use another smoke bomb in a couple of months, or if any of the spiders claim squatters rights and decide to move back in.

Product appears to have worked very well – in combination with steam-cleaning the carpets and mothballs. Only negative is that it is quite hard to light the smoke bombs and get out of the room quickly – especially when using in/on hall/landing/stairs. some sort of delay on the wick before it stands getting down to the smoke but would be good.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersOrdered 2 lots of these – arrived on time, packaged well, user guide in with product. We smoke bombed the whole house. We kept being bitten and we didn’t know by what, so thought we would do the whole house. We stayed at familys over night, arrived home the following morning, opened all windows and doors for around 4 hours. It turned out to be bed bugs that were biting us, the smoke bombs didn’t get rid of the bed bugs, we had to get somebody in, but they were good at getting rid of spiders etc. Going to use them in the garage and loft next!

Golden Review Award: 67 From Our UsersI’m a cat sitter and I brought home fleas from a client’s moggies. My cat was not happy with the little friends who took up residence in his coat. Neither was I when they colonised my carpets, pausing only to lep out and bite me on the feet when they weren’t terrorising the poor ginger fellow.
I got the cat that really expensive stuff from the vet shop to eradicate them from his fur.
That left three floors of carpeted rooms to deal with.

No way was I buying sprays – they’re useless – but I’d tried these foggers a few years ago to get rid of clothes moths.
Hid the cat away from the fog in a sealed room.
Set up the candles. lit the touch paper and retired to the nearest IKEA for a four hour mooch and some meatballs.
It smelled like Chernobyl when i got back, but my word, it had worked!!! No more getting lumps bitten out of me and the smell was soon dealt with by leaving the doors and windows open for a few hours.

This stuff is powerful and not particularly pleasant to work with, but if you have a severe flea or moth infestation, it’s the only thing that works quickly and effectively. Even the lady at the vet shop said it was the best thing I could have used.

Golden Review Award: 36 From Our UsersI made a point to buy the larger 15g XL size – one upstairs and one downstairs seems to be enough in my 4-bed house. Repeat treatment every 3 months or so seems to have overcome a bad clothes/carpet moth infestation at a fraction of the cost of calling in the professionals. I set off bombs just before I go away for weekends etc, and ONLY once the cats are safely out of harm’s way at the cattery. The odour completely dissipates in a day or two, so treating before going away overnight is ideal. The only problem is that the initial cloud of smoke sets off the smoke alarms. Remember to leave open any wardrobes and drawers where the tiny, silvery moths and their larvae may lurk among woollen clothes. I also spray these areas with an aerosol can of permethrin (same ingredient as in the smoke bomb) about every fortnight.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis was one of the only things that worked for the flea problem we had in our home. We had tried other bombs/foggers before, but these bombs really did the trick. The only reason I didn’t give them five stars is because we had to use a separate spray at the same time, so this wasn’t totally, completely 100% effective. But it worked very, very well and it was money well spent. If we had a flea problem again this is where I would start!

I used one of the bombs in my garage, and it filled up with smoke very quickly – when I returned 4 hours later, I saw quite a few bugs on the floor, and even big spiders had come out of hiding, giving me the opportunity to get rid of them! – I will definitely order more, but next time, I may try 2 at the same time to see whether they can actually kill the spiders 🙂

Very fast fuse, be sure to point away from face as you light – maybe a second before the (poisonous to critters) smoke starts. However it definitely worked in the shed, even watched some of the little beggers try to leave through misfiring roof areas, where the sparrows caught them – all in all, does what it says. Mum reports spider free shed. 🙂

Golden Review Award: 35 From Our UsersI noticed my body getting bites around mid april, saw a first bedbug aroung first week in may. I was playing around on my ipad in bed at night and saw one crawling on my pillow, squashed it with tissue, next morning I saw a smaller one and squashed that also. Few days after that I kept seeing few crawling around so I caught them and kept them in a small container.

Tried looking for the infested area but I couldnt find anything anywhere, even with them trap under my bed legs. So I got myself 4 of these, small, steam cleaner bed matress cover, washed sheets at 90 degrees and got my duvet and pillows washed and dried in high heat professionally (50) it was a cheaper option as some places were charging me 800 ~ 2500 for pest control.

My bedroom is large but not huge, enough to fit a super king, few free standing cupboards and make up stand thing. I used 2 of this fogger in my bedroom even though 1 would be enough. I put 1 bed bug i caught in the room with this fogger. Left the bedroom for 5~6 hours and the experimental bedbug was upside down but still alive. I was not happy with this product and i put the experimental bedbug back in the cup with other bedbugs that i caught. But within 24~48 hours after the fogging all the bedbugs in the cup is dead or almost dead.

So if you are infested with bedbugs, catch them, expose them to the smoke and then let them go, they will crawl back to where it came from and infect the other bugs (they seem to like to cuddle with each other) since I used more smoke than required i left the room window opened for 2 days and slept on the sofa, tonight will be the first night back in my bed. Wish me luck. Must have caught the female as it kept laying eggs, im still to see them hatch, i read that smoke wouldnt kill eggs so, i will keep my eye on it. Picture shows 2 dead bug, theres also another smaller one there with the eggs.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersStuck only one on a plate under the living room floorboards and months later still none of those big spiders that used to roam the room of an evening. The floor cavity is 28x14x1.5 feet. I put the floor board back down to trap the smoke but hung around to ensure no fire started as it is under wood boards. The pot did not melt and there were little puffs of smoke seeping through both underlay and carpet which I took as a sign of good smoke output. THe smell in this situation was minimal and I vented the room for an hour, polished the woodwork and put the soft furnishings back in and all done. Good product for those underfloor critters and it also will have gone into the cavity walls..

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI live on a farm and come the colder weather every type of bug moves into the house and loft. This product cleared the house and loft leaving a trail of death behind it.
Leave all cupboards open, beds stripped and pull out all belongings that could harbour the critters and it’ll do a great job.
Only one warning, it suggests that you place these on a baking tray or other fireproof surface but doesn’t mention the fuse is quite volatile. When first lit the fuse spits sizeable red hot embers up to a few feet. These landed all over our floors and as you need to leave the area quite quickly once the smoke bomb goes off it can be difficult in the fog to check the embers went out. Caution is recommended.
I also forgot to unplug the fire alarms which caused a nearby neighbour to panic a little.
I left a large sign in the house window stating smoke bombs had been set off which luckily stopped our neighbour calling the fire brigade!

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersIt is very scary letting a firework off inside your house, which is what lighting one of these feels like. Put it on a very big ceramic plate if you are as nervous about that as I am. I let two off. Light them in sequence towards your exit and stay calm(!) They fog everywhere with permethrin poison putting it in corners you might not reach with a spray. Note that to be effective you have to hoover every day for 7 days afterwards. I really would do so. The reason given is that you now have a flea hostile carpet and need to hatch the eggs into it – which is where the hoover vibrations come in. We did so. No sign of fleas since. Wife complained abut the dust it put everywhere but that’s what its supposed to do.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersThe product arrived very quickly and was well and safely packaged. The instructions were simple and easily understood. Whilst it is perhaps still early days since I used the (15g XL) smoke bombs to fumigate the rooms, I have seen no further signs of the dreaded clothes moths.
Even after two hours, there was a very detectable aroma, which some people may find unpleasant (I did not). On the basis that if I could smell it, then the was still fumigant active (and killing moths) I retreated and left it another hour. By which time the smell was much less noticeable. I opened the windows and left for a further hour for the room to clear completely.
The instructions say very clearly to remove all pets and houseplants etc, but I forgot the Mother-in-law’s tongue plant (Sansevieria trifasciata aka Bowstring Hemp or Snake Plant) – it seems to have taken no harm (so far). Follow the instructions and you should not go wrong.
