it switches on the light automaticaly, but no sensitivity adjustement. actually thats good, it just works fine. you can adjust so that it sees just what you want. very clear picture, and you can log on from anywhere via the web. password protected. the monthly charge starts after 3 months. i forget how much, but not a lot, i think its 4 a month (just cant recall, sorry). oh. and you can talk to people over the link, the time delay is around a second, maybe 2 seconds, feels strange, but thats the interweb I spose.

Works very well and sends all alerts to my iPhone
easy to set up but would suggest when installing up a ladder
to trim mains cable ends to the correct lengths first and then
fit base to wall. I am very pleased

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersWe have had this camera for almost a year- mixed experiences with it but in summary:

    – you don’t need the protect alarm hub as is suggested in the Q+A. Camera only subscription is 2.50 a month which is pretty reasonable, and stores clips on their cloud which is handy.
    – motion detection. ERA added a sensitivity scale which improved things. We still had a lot of difficulty getting the settings right for our camera. But- what has helped massively is that we have just figured out that the camera can be tilted left/right as well as up and down, so you can focus it on the area you need it to. How this feature isn’t advertised (and it is not obvious), I don’t really understand. Even in the promo video it shows the camera moving up and down only so you assume this is the only adjustment it can make. Reading other reviews, other purchasers remark that this is a significant drawback, so this really needs to be highlighted.
    – We really like the simple, robust design, especially compared with the ring spotlight camera.
    – tech support is a bit hit and miss, we have found.
    – it can be a little bit buggy. For instance, our camera is currently showing 1 hour ahead. No doubt a hard reset would sort it, but you have to take it off the mount plate to do this.

Overall, I think ERA could advertise all of the features a bit more clearly, including subscription costs, as again a few people complain that you need the full protect subscription for ten pounds a month which isn’t the case.
