Does exactly what you need a label printer to do, and does it no fuss and hardly any setup. Uses non-proprietary labels. Auto-senses label boundaries, so no need to fiddle with the printer between prints.

No issues installing the driver, was up and running in minutes and it comes with some software for creating labels which is nice. Man it’s so much faster than printing labels and taping them on, if you’ve started shipping things just get one!

I purchased this as my Dymo 4xl one minute will accept the 4×6 labels and the next will reject the lables, I appreciate I am buying non Dymo branded labels…so my recent purchase of labels both rolls it wouldn’t accept…I purchased this printer plugged in the usb stick and downloaded the drivers which took a minute or two at the most…I printed off a label within a couple of minutes no questions…the labels the Dymo rejected worked first time….I would never suggest anyone buy a Dymo they are crap in comparison.

Does what I want. Print shipping labels.
But it prints them off center.
There maybe a way to change this. But I haven’t bothered.

Easy setup/installation. Fast and great prints! The power adapter could have been built in, but otherwise no issues.

Purchased this after reading other reviews and so glad I did. Its brilliant, easy to set up and fast and efficient at printing labels. Saves a lot of hassle of writing address labels and if using for eBay then it will automatically add tracking number to items if purchasing label via ebay link.

    Top class thermal printe

Absalutley Fantastic.. why have I just seen this.
Iv been printing off labels with a regular printer and then cutting them and sticking onto parcel.
But this… is a big game changer.
Only thing is I’d say it’s a right faf on having to keep connecting to Bluetooth but I don’t mind as the overall job is amazing

Enjoying it so far! Wish it connected directly to eBay.

It’s ok shame the Bluetooth doesn’t work from a IMAC as that’s what it was to be used with, product seems to work ok once set up properly and configured.

I really love this little item despite an issue I think needs a little bit of a rethink. It was easy to set up and easy to use.
My only negative would be that it’s awkward to tear or cut off the label as there is no room so you have to open the printer to do i

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis a brilliant printer and does the job very well. While plasticity, what budget printer isn’t these days? Be warned though. The setup instructions do assume a level of confidence in installing a printer beyond your normal laser or inkjet. Relax, take it slow and you’ll be pleased with the result. Or, alternatively, spend (a lot) more money to get the bells and whistles.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersNB I think this listing has changed since I made my purchase at the end of November 2022 – I bought the Bluetooth version.
AlsoI initially wrote a one star review as the printer simply wouldn’t work, but I have since updated both the score and my written review as described below.

I did a lot of research before buying this printer and I chose this one because it had all the features I wanted (Bluetooth printing, can take different sizes of labels, labels stored inside the printer, compact, easy to use) at a good price. However, it ended up being a huge let down at first.

Although it was easy enough to download the app and connect to the printer from my iPhone, I just couldn’t get to grips with printing a label successfully. The instruction manual is in poorly translated English so it’s not particularly helpful, and the app is not intuitive and parts of it are in Chinese so it’s pretty useless. I was able to import a returns label but for some reason whenever I tried to print it the printer would think about it for 30-60 seconds and then spew out a tiny QR code as shown in the photo. The code isn’t even related to the label I was trying to print; when I scan it it comes up as ‘123457789’, so it must be a test code or something. I tried asking for help but got no reply, so customer support is completely lacking. It was so frustrating to continuously waste labels so I decided to give up and I intended to return the printer for a refund. What a waste of time and trouble.

However, I decided to give the printer a final try (if only to print its own return label!!) and it suddenly started working properly. I didn’t do anything differently; it was as if the printer all of a sudden wanted to play ball for some unknown reason and I can’t say I was unhappy about that! Now it prints labels in a matter of seconds and I’m absolutely thrilled. I may need to play around with the thickness of the printing as some of the barcodes can look a little thickbut that said they still scanned without issue by both Evri and Royal Mail so perhaps I’m better off leaving well alone!

The fact this printer is black is a big plus to me as it looks slick and it won’t change colour over time (I hate how white plastic so often yellows as it ages).

I would have liked it to come with a few sample labels for practice runs, but I’ve not marked down for the fact it doesn’t as this is mentioned in the listing so it came as no surprise.

So if you have a similar experience to me at first, don’t despair as hopefully your printer will suddenly buck up its ideas like mine did!

Initially difficult/impossible to use but now works great!

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI’ve been considering one of these thermal printers for some time as I hate having to print, cut and sellotape labels. I’ve been unable to justify it since I only sell a few things on eBay and print returns labels. Furthermore, I wasn’t sure if I could use this to print Amazon return labels.

I finally took the plunge on this printer after my printer ink ran out. “Why did I wait so long?” is the first thought that came into my head after printing the first label off. It’s fast, efficient, and above all, CONVENIENT! I’ve been able to print labels from Evri (Hermes), Royal Mail, DPD, UPS, and even Amazon returns (including the returns barcode part). Some labels require minor scale and margin adjustments – all done using the built-in print dialogue (Windows PC version). I’m unsure how Mac works with it, but I doubt it would be much different.

Why did I choose this particular thermal printer? For one simple reason – It supports internal rolls. Many other options need a stack of papers sitting behind the printer, which looks untidy.

The print quality doesn’t rival an ink-based printer, but it’s perfectly fine for labels.

    Highly recommended!

Update: A few things I need to mention after a few days of use. I discovered that my DPD labels were not clear enough until I adjusted the “darkness” settings in the printing preferences. Also, as I was playing around with the preferences, I somehow messed up the positioning of my labels until about 30 labels later I corrected it by setting the vertical offset to -5.0. My labels are now printing perfectly aligned, darker, and much clearer! I would highly recommend watching the video instructions on the USB stick included with the printer if you run into any issues.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis is a reasonably priced printer, and if you set it to the lowest possible print speed and a density of 8 (in my testing) you can get really pretty readable labels with working QR codes etc. Even at the lowest speed it prints a 100x150mm label in around 1.5 – 2 seconds, so no real need to go faster. Print quality at higher speed just gets worse.

In case you’re specifically buying it for use with ebay, I can confirm that the Royal Mail labels offered by ebay work fine with this printer. You have to turn off zoom etc to make sure the labels align with the 100x150mm labels, so you might waste a few goes. Make sure you get direct thermal labels.

It’s only capable of 203dpi, so that’s “fine” for single-use shipping labels, but you can’t really go much smaller than about size 8-9pt fonts.

The build quality is fine, but it’s probably targeted at the occasional use on a desktop rather than constant warehouse use – sometimes the labels don’t feed through consistently so you have to press the button on top to get a bonus blank label and to make the perforations align with the printer’s cutting edge. This might be because I’m still using a nearly-full roll of 500 labels and perhaps they’re dragging a bit. Calibration didn’t seem to help.

The printer also comes with a driver CD, but this is useless because it’s not 1996 any more. You can download the drivers directly from Seagull’s website, and, although the Linux bundle works perfectly, I just wish they would give you the simple PPD file rather than a binary self-extracting shell script.
