Eats though the shredding but needs A4 pages stacked neatly for most efficient use.

I wanted a shredder for a small but busy office. Did a search for the best suited… recommended another brand. Useless.. lasted just over a week. Waste of 70. Looked again and found this one. 3 weeks in and I couldn’t be happier with it. I would recommend using the Fellowes shredder oil to keep it in good conditio

This was bought to replace our old one. Its excellent value for money. It can shreds 100 sheets through a feeder. It is quiet. Easy to handle. Easy to move about. Would highly recommend.

The bin gets filled very quickly. You’d be surprised at how few sheets will fill the bin but really good machine nevertheless. Simple to use, not too noisy.

It’s a shredder, it shreds. Auto feed is okay.
Prompted to comment on ‘sheerness’. But no idea what it means, so I haven’t.

Very effective – and I love the self feed of the paper, which makes it much easier. No data can be collected off the resulting crisis-cut paper.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy assistant has one less thing to do each day. She places aall of our day’s shredding in the bin when she leaves for the day. The next morning, she empties the bin. The first day thaat we had it, she ran a legal-size banker’s box oof documents through it with no snags.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is easily the best and quietest shredder I have ever owned. Simple to setup (remove from box, remove tape and instruction book). Munches its way through piles of paper loaded in the lid and handles odd items via the letterbox hand feed. Demolished in a few hours a pile of papers that would of taken days with the old manual unit.

This auto shredder works well, either with piles of A4 paper in the feeder (though you have to make sure it’s a neat and tidy pile) or with small bundles of miscellaneous sheets fed through the slit at the top. It does heat up quite quickly, so that it has to take a short rest, and hence it might not be good for an environment where there is a constant stream of material. But for a home office, where from time to time there is non-urgent shredding to be done, it’s fine.

This is a great shredder. It’s quick, quiet and can handle a lot.

The bin is made from solid cardboard though so will be interesting to see how long that lasts but with due care it should be ok.

A bit noisy but, the noise is not as bad as hand jamming paper in a small port at top. Auto feed is great. Will do 200 sheets at once in storage area

This shredder’s ability to automatically shred up to 100 pages of same size paper documents is very useful, as is the size it shreds them down to. It makes it most useful for the highest security documents you want disposed of, in a way that doesn’t mean you have to attend to the machine yourself. You can also manual feed 10 sheets at a time through the front slot, which is great for oddly sized things like bank or shopping receipts.

Because of the small shredded pieces, its bin is one of the slower ones to fill up. I also appreciate that it uses oil you dispense yourself rather than the plastic-y oil sheets. General operation is quiet and refreshingly simple, as is emptying the bin, though a face mask is recommended for the latter as dust particles get into the air during this process.

On the downside, its continuous run time is one of the shortest of the shredders I’ve tested, at 15 minutes – I’m guessing as a result of how many moving parts it has to cut documents into such small pieces. If you’re looking for a machine that can shred media such as discs, this one won’t be for you – though it will cut up credit cards via the manual feed slot. It also can have difficulty auto-feeding paper in straight, resulting in some particularly uncomfortable noises.

This is quite a sizeable shredder — about the size of a full tower base unit for a desktop computer, or a small-medium wheelie suitcase. This shredder doesn’t have some of the hugely impressive run time features associated with some other home/small office shredders in a similar price range — it won’t run constantly for hours, run time is restricted to tens of minutes rather than hours. The shred capacity is a reasonable 10 sheets, and this does cope alright with 10 sheets of regular 80gsm copier paper fed in simultaneously. The shredder is quiet and effective — you can definitely hear the blades whirring, but the motor is not badly intrusive. The controls are fairly intuitive. The cut is small — P4 security level — though not the smallest.

The really useful feature of this shredder is its 100 sheet feeder. The feeder requires a small amount of assembly before use (a plastic fin that has to be attached). But then this works a bit like a printer — you can pop a bundle of pages into the feed and leave it to do its thing. I’ve emptied out a several old files by simply popping a bunch of pages onto this and giving it an occasional glance as I was working at my computer. It’s needed the bin jiggled to settle paper down a bit and allow it to complete work on a particular stack, an occasional emptying, and jammed once. The shredder resolved its own jam, reversing the feed, but then went into pause mode and I had to check the feed before setting it back in motion.

Staples (in reasonably small quantity) are, as promised no problem for this — though it’s better to take them out and separate recycling properly. Old cards (credit/debit/store/staff passes) can be put through this, but not CDs or DVDs, and labels are a no-no (presumably because the adhesive gums up the blades). I have run thin card through, but wouldn’t feel confident with testing its capabilities on thicker or corrugated stuff.

Not the most powerful shredder I’ve used, and the run time isn’t huge. But it’s well made, the bin has good capacity, and for regular sized shredding jobs (e.g. bundles of old A4 printout) the sheet feed which doesn’t require someone to stand over it to feed papers in is a useful addition.

It’s certainly a sizeable unit – 68cm high by 37cm wide and 39 cm deep, it’s at least double the size and weight of your average decent quality home shredder. It has a very large collection bin, which suits the biodegradable shredder bags I use very well (they’re absolutely necessary unless you want shreddings *everywhere*).

Operation is very quiet with none of the loud whining you get with most shredders – the loudest sound is the crinkling of the paper as it gets sucked in at the top.

The paper feed slot is comfortably large enough for 50 sheets of used A4. You could get 100 sheets in it, but I think it would need to be brand new, flat paper containing no staples. It’s plenty capacious enough for any shredding requirement I can anticipate in any case.

The sheet feeder works very well on the whole – I did have it jam up a couple of times, when it tried to pull too many sheets through together – mainly because some of them were stapled. It was very easy to free the jam, as you can simply lift open the top cover where the rubber feed rollers live, pull out the jammed sheets, close it again and start the feed going.

There is a button for feed and one for reverse, an on-off switch, and that’s all you really need to know.

I found it very easy to set up , very intuitive to use, and it renders the paper into very fine shreds which would be pretty much impossible to piece together.

Altogether – I think this is a good value and very practical shredder for an office environment.

Getting it out of the cardboard box was a bit of a challenge and it may be best to open both ends and push it all out (it is very top heavy).

It is on casters with locks and as I mentioned it is top heavy with all the weight at the rear and it nearly wants to fall over backwards.

The next challenge was to figure out how to get into the paper basket/bin (where the instruction leaflet and paper feeder were shipped. Well it pulls out forward just put a hand on both the front sides and pull.

It has just over a 1 metre mains lead with a physical on/off switch on the left side at the top.

When not in use I would turn this off as the naughty machine uses 3.4 watts waiting to be used (even after sleep mode cuts in). I guess EU rules re standby power don’t apply to shredders yet?

Anyway in operation it works well and I have only managed to half fill the big bin (so far).

It should auto turn off when full, also turns off if it overheats (not used it enough for that to happen).

While shredding the noise level is quite low and uses up to 200 watts when shredding.

The feeder works okay, just pile some paper up, press the play icon button and it feeds in a few pages at a time.

The paper really is cut up into the smallest pieces I have ever seen from a shredder.

Other than the high standby power consumption I am impressed with it.

    This is a superb shredder.

Well made and on castors for easy portability. Comes requiring nothing but clipping a small plastic bit on the back.

Two ways to shred. Load the paper feeder or manually. I found the paper feeder worked bets if you thumbed through the papers first so that it fed one at a time or so. Can be prone to jamming though so be midnful what you are putting in the feeder.

    Manual feeder worked as expected.

Controls are easy to use and I was amazed how quiet it is. Cuts into very tiny bits that is not only secure but means the bin holds more before emptying.

    Very happy with this

I was amazed at how good the machine looked. Yes, you could tell it had been used but only by looking inside the bin!

A good buy, value for money.

This shredder was a little more expensive than I wanted to spend, but it is also the best shredder I have ever used. As we hear in the news, do not skimp on the shredder. This one is fast, heavy duty and makes lots of small little pieces that can not be pasted back together. This one feels like it will last forever. Comes with some oil, too, so no need to buy a big tube of it.

Love that you can just load it up and leave – saves hours of manual feeding. Ideal for the new GDPR rules and regulations!!

I like this shredder. When you have a lot of shredding to do the stack and walk away feature is the best. The auto feed feature should have been created years ago. It’s really nice not having to manual feed a lot of files. One thing I do notice it does have a burning smell. I don’t know if this is just because it is new or not. I will give it more time with testing. Even though it has a large bin to hold the shredding it does fill up fast. I like the fact that is shreds the paper to almost nothing. The one thing I wish it did do is shred label sheets or stickers. Sometimes junk mail has stickers etc. on the paper. Do to the cost of this pricey machine I would not want to ruin the machine for a lousy sticker or a label. The auto feed feature is great if you have paper that is NOT stapled together. It is quiet, but still loud enough to interfere with other tasks – such as listening to the news program, radio, talking on the phone. But if your not doing those things it won’t matter. Would I recommend this to anyone? Yes, I would. It is not a monster machine, but it does the job for a very small office or to use in your home for personal use.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWhen I received the product it didn’t work. I sent a return request, however decided to check out what the problem was? Figuring in all probability it worked when it left the factory. When I opened it up I discovered a connector had become undone, so re connected and it works as it should since.
However one word of caution here, I realised if I failed to get it working, the warranty was out the window.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersDoes a decent job. Not that noisy. Will shred some stapled pages but will tend to stop if pages are to thick. Once you get the feel of what it can handle it runs rather well. I also tend to throw small pieces of paper in the unit and they also shred most of the time if I inter mix them between full sheets. I have a 99ci that works very well but is all hand fed. This allows me to leave, and it will automatically shut down when it finishes the job, and will even shut down when it jams, because I overloaded it with to many thick stapled documents. Nice not to have to be there when its working.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersI was concerned after reading other reviews about purchasing this shredder but I have to say so far this shredder has meet all of my expectations. Yes, it makes noise but then I expected that from a shredder in this price range and size. It is so nice to be able to place a stack of papers in the shredder and shred instead of feeding each paper one piece at a time. So far I have not had any paper jams.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersI selected that shredder because I wanted the auto feed feature And I purchase the “upscale” version that holds 200 pages in the auto feeder. Works as advertised. Quiet. Auto feeder takes staples sheets. Not sure why other reviewers are saying the auto feeder does not work with credit card bills and other pages smaller than 8 1/3 by 11. It does. As long as go put in pile that is all the same size. Works for me because that is joe i file my papers anyway. I would recommend this shredder if you are in the market in this price range and want the auto feed function.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have been using this shredder every day for three years for a small business and it has never failed me. Just place a stack of papers in the top and close the lid. If it stops, turn the papers over and keep going. You can feed junk mail envelopes in the top, two or three at a time. There are no reasons for bad reviews for this shredder. I rarely give five star but I have put this one to the test. There is no maintenance or oiling. I will definitely buy another if this one ever stops working.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis shredder works extremely well, cutting up both paper and CDs etc. I have found it very useful as I am clearing out my office of old paperwork including documents with student information etc that must be destroyed before dumping. So far this has not jammed, over heated etc as cheaper shredders I have tried tend to do.

I wont go into techno detail here as i believe its nice to have a review from the other point of view. This piece of equipment is packed well and unpacks quickly ready to go. Just plug in and shred ! This shredder will cross shred your documents amd takes no time at all. You can even shred bank cards and cds etc.
shreds by hand or automatically with a pile, you can simply walk away and let it go.takes card and envelopes as well as documents more than a few pages thick. Ive really put this shredder through its paces and its not failed me yet. I even shredded two complete boxes with ease to save space in the works bin.
nice little pull out bin for the shreddings and no need to empty all the time.
I can’t recommend this shredder enough. This makes work fun !
