I go through a fair few backpacks and purchased this a while back to try. I have to carry heavy items in both hands at work when I leave, so needed a backpack.
Initially the bag looked good, however on using it, it does have problems which could be easily remedied. It has no internal zipped pocket for a purse or keys. I have to put mine in the laptop section and fish around for them when needed.
The other problem are the straps – the adjustment fob is within an inch of the base of the bag and cannot be moved . Thus when sitting the bag properly on your back you have to reach behind you to do so. It also makes it difficult to release the tightness to take it off. A backpack needs to sit high on the back or it will bash the lower spine and is uncomfortable.
Other then these two gripes I would say it’s a pretty good bag for students and the like, but not for those who need multiple pockets. For the later try a diaper changing bag which often come with plenty of pockets, are spacious and are a hell of a lot cheaper.
Disappointing.
I love this bag! I was a bit unsure after reading so many different comments about it m, but chose to give it a go and I’m happy I did it! It’s super comfortable, its square shape makes a lot a room for everything you need and and it’s cute! I use it everyday for work and even used it for a 7 hours hiking! Be aware it’s not waterproof though!
This is my fourth Kanken and my second regular sized one (the other ones are mini). I simply love it, I got it in black and it just looks so sleek. I must admit though that this is the first time I found out about the seat pad, heh. Even though my other Kankens are bought in store! I just considered it part of the packaging. Now I know – so for everyone buying a Kanken for the first time:do not throw away he weird looking grey pad.
Used it every day since I got it, it still looks brand new quality of this bag is amazing plus it fits sooo much!!!
I use this for school every day and a lot on the weekends too. Fits everything in and would recomend for everyone
Love this bag. It’s well made, looks good and very practical. Only downside is that it is slightly too small to fit my old huge laptop in. Probably a newer smaller thing it would fit perfectly.
This product took a while to arrive (4 months) however I’m extremely happy with it, and it has lasted me a long time. Some threads have came out however I’ve used it heavily
