Ständig dreckige Hände
Der Schlauch hat mich berhaupt nicht begeistert. Platzsparend und leicht ist er. Wenn sich der Schlauch mit Wasser fllt, werden auch die angegebenen 15m erreicht. Ich habe ihn nicht lange genutzt, da er mich genervt hat, dass man stndig schmutzige Hnde bekam. Man muss das Wasser aus dem Schlauch noch auslaufen lassen, nachdem man den Hahn abgedreht hat. Der Schlauch schrumpft dann vor meinen Fen auf dem nassen und erdigen Boden. Wenn man ihn dann ordentlich auf die Halterung aufhngt, muss man anschlieend erst noch einmal den nchsten Wasseranschluss suchen um sich die Hnde zu waschen. Mit dem geschrumpften ist es ja nicht mehr mglich.
Bin unzufrieden und habe einen teuren bestellt.

The plastic hose tidy hook thing is a bit flimsy and crap but the hose itself is brilliant. Squirts water all over the place.

Buy quality, buy once
Gardena are my go to brand when looking for robust garden essentials, and I already have a Gardena hose reel in my back garden which is excellent. So I ordered this lighter weight garden hose for the front garden, and for that purpose it works a treat.
The hose itself is easy to fit with its hanging tap attachment which holds the hose holder firmly for you to manually gather the hose and hang on the holder. I do find though that the holder isn’t easy to keep all the wound hose on, and parts of the hose keeps slipping off, so I do think the shape and size of the holder attachment could be better.
The textile hose itself is sturdily made, doesn’t kink and is easy to manipulate in use. The spray head included is an unusual one, as it doesn’t have multiple spray patterns, just one spray that is controlled by twisting the collar on the head which determines both pressure and reach (see video, taken before the hose pipe ban!). I like the simplicity of this and also that there is no trigger you need to keep pressing down, so ideal if you struggle with hand dexterity due to arthritis for example.
All in all this is handy robust hosepipe and the Gardena quality is evident. Unlike many expandable hose pipes, which a,ways seeing a leak I find, I have no doubt that this Gradena one will last for many many years. I think it’s the old adage of buy cheap by twice (or even three times or more!), invest in quality buy once. So yes it’s expensive compared to some on the mar,et but the quality of the hose, head and tap fittings are great quality, with no leaks. It just loses one star because of the design of the holder, which is the on,y element I think could be better. 4
Clever - couple of things to note
This is a lever idea – rather than drill holes etc you just use your tap to hang the hose off.
It isn’t super heavy but it does mean you will need a tap that’s up to the job both in its makeup and mounting.
The plastic hook is pretty large and the hose doesn’t really look round it – it hangs off, so the tap needs to be at a good height too.
The lightweight fabric covered hose is easy to move around but kinks easily. The included spray gun is very basic with no on/off feature which makes it less convenient.
It’s a clever and convenient hose with pros and cons. Overall I do like it.
Fantastic lightweight hose
Growing vegetables this year has been a serious challenge. Too cold at the start of the season and too hot and dry for the rest of it. A decent hose has been a must, albeit we are now back to watering cans due to the drought.
This is the second textile hose I’ve had, the previous one was one of those flat types which I didn’t like at all. I’ve been impressed with this one so far. It’s lightweight and I’ve had no leaks or kinks and it’s really easy to store once done.
Storage — it doesn’t get any easier than this. Simply hanging the hose on the tap using the bracket supplied, it couldn’t be easier and it comes with all the attachments I needed. I was initially a little concerned about hanging the hose on my garden tap but the hose is so light, it really isn’t an issue. My big ungainly plastic hose reel has now gone.
The price does make me draw breathe a bit at 66.79 but Gardena produce some really decent quality products and sometimes it really is worth the extra few quid to get a quality product. There’s nothing more annoying than working with cheap tools.
This is a great hose pipe for your garden. It comes with parts to fit all types of taps and no need to drill in the wall as it comes with the holder to storage the hose. The material is nice, thick and durable. Spray patterns are great and easy to use. I would highly recommend.
What I mean by no bells and whistles is there is no fancy connections or gun just one very very good hosepipe, infact the best one I’ve had in years. The only fancy bit you get is the connection to fasten the holder to the tap, great idea simple and looks neat. The hose is lightweight, easy to manoeuvre with no kinks, it’s of high quality and very well made, you can feel the hosepipe within the material is nice and thick as is the material it’s covered with. I would have liked brass fittings that’s just me but the plastic fittings are solid and well made and add to the lightness of the hose. The spray attachment is a simple click on affair with one spray pattern that is really good, just turn nossel to open flow and can be done with one hand. If needed a spray gun can be added as it’s a universal fitting. The length is perfect as it reaches both sides and ends of my static caravan when it’s time for a clean. The price isn’t what you call cheap but when you see the quality and it’s durability its worth every penny. I’ve gone through 2 expandable hoses in a short time that were over half the price of this one. 5star all round great no nonsense hose pipe.
A quality hose!
This Garden hose is a very thick but high quality hose made from textile vs the standard green rubber I’m used to. The hose definitely is worth the price as you don’t suffer from kinks from just the slightest bend and allows for a much better water flow. It includes the fittings and can be installed without screws. The best part is the hook that the hose can hang off which allows for easier storage. The hose material itself is also frost resistant and UV protected so it can be kept out in all range of weather, perfect for the UK. Despite it looking like it’s going to be really heavy, it’s actually reasonably light weight. Definitely a recommend from me.

We needed one for around 20m so the additional 5m is also great for if we ever needed it longer.
When not in use, it rolls up nicely and hang off the hose holder.

This is my second Gardena hose – I have one for the rear garden, this is for the front – watering and car washing.
Based on my experience with the other (more sophisticated) Gardena hose, I was expecting good quality, and I haven’t been disappointed.
Replacing the old part that was attached to my garage tap with the Gardena equivalent has fixed a long-term issue that I had with water leaking while using my old hose.
It was simple to work out which parts go where without needing any guidance, and the hose/hose holder were installed within about 5 minutes.
I wanted this hose to replace one that lengthens under water pressure. I’ve never really got on with those hoses as you’re forced to keep the pressure high, and they can split if the pressure builds too much.
This hose is relatively ‘old school’ but feels nice and robust. It also has enough length for all of my needs at the front of my house.
The hose holder is plastic (as are the other parts), but seems plenty sturdy enough, and is an ingenious design, avoiding the need for a drill and screws.
The shower head is ideal for watering plants, but not so great for things like car washing. It can be easily replaced, however. One of the nice features about Gardena connectors, is that they stop the flow of water when you remove a shower attachment.
I’m very pleased with this hose so far, I can definitely recommend it if you value quality over gimmicky features! I hope this was helpful.
A tough yet lightweight hose from top German garden products brand Gardena
This is a quite a nice hose both to use and in appearance plus being lightweight very easy to handle. It’s made by Gardena that is a part of the world famous Swedish Husqvarna company so it’s got good credentials in that respect
Gardena is a long-established German manufacturer of garden tools and it has been part of the Swedish Husqvarna group for well over ten years. Gardena hoses have a good reputation for their system design and build quality and the brand has a good range of products to choose from depending on your need. This Gardena textile hose is tough yet lightweight and it is quite compact when coiled, expanding to a fairly useful fifteen metres in use — twenty and thirty metre versions are also available on the same Amazon product page. This hose could be handy for watering a small patio or terraced area, or for car washing and even when camping or caravanning where portability is important. This is a very sturdy hose that is much better quality than some of the cheap Chinese expanding hoses I have been using for a while, but it is a little bit limited by it’s fifteen metre length so will only suit certain applications. Not cheap at something under fifty quid currently from Amazon for this fifteen metre hose, but a top quality product that doesn’t kink in use and should give many years of service if looked after and stored properly. Five stars for design and build-quality — but the thirty metre version is currently much better value from Amazon at around forty-three pounds.
This is the best hose that we have ever had. So lightweight and the tap hook is perfect for keeping the hose tidy without having to fix to the wall. Works perfectly with our sprinkler. The water pressure through the hose is great.
