Got them for the whole family. Many times my daughter has pointed out to me scratches on the casing showing tampering to no avail. She stupidly just locked her frame to the bike rack at school and got her tires and seat stolen but they couldn’t touch the frame. I’d showed her how to properly lock her bike by her rear wheel through the triangle but she was lazy. But the lock is rock solid!
Took a long time to arrive. Ordered 3 for the family but 1 arrived missing keys. Daughter went out with friend. Her friend’s bike got stolen. Her’s was untouched. That’s a good lock. Using it to protect very expensive electric bike. It is kind of small. Just room to lock frame to standard bike rack. But that is part of the design structure, that there’s no room to insert leverage tool.
I brought two of these for my Lectric ebikes. Very portable, just remember that they are very small and you will need to make sure that you can get close to a bike rackor whatever you intend to use a a securing post. Other than that very lite weight, and easy to transport in a backpack or wearing it. Heavy duty keys and design.
This isn’t as heavy as some of the same strength, so is easiler to carry. You don’t get much of a locking area, being a compact lock, so the chances of being able to lock this to a post as per the illustrations are limited. The prongs on this are supposed to allow the rider to slot the lock onto a belt or rucksack strap, but I can’t imagine that many would use it that way, so they are largely superfluous. But this is a highly-rated and strong lock. Just don’t expect it to easily perform exactly as illustrated.
he lock gets the job done if you live in a bigger city i would recommend this bike lock i use it to lock my bike when i go out riding and i want to go in a store or a food place
Seem very secure but on the short side and doesn’t fit around sign post, but purpose built bicycle street racks no problem
It feels like a solid lock and is very convenient to attach it to the belt. I also appreciate the soft touch coating, which makes it nicer to handle. It’s quite a small U lock, but that’s what I wanted because it’s easier to carry and, assuming you can fit it around the bike, harder to break into
Only had this lock a few days and I guess I can’t give it five stars at this point and I’m hoping it won’t be put to the test. However needs must, just purchased an eBike and it’s essential not that I intend to leave it unattended. I will also buy a cafe lock, remove battery etc just to make it undesirable to steel.
It’s a great heavy duty product that’s not too heavy itself. Extremely durable and is simple to install, lock and dismount. I live the idea of keys being registered to each owner so it ensures security of your item and it looks great too!
Very secure. The wearability is a bit of a gimmick but this is a top quality bike lock.
Second time had to order this, first one came without keys. Replacement was sent very fast and happy with the return processing. Item seems very strong and appears it will be secure.
Expensive in comparison to similar locks but worth the money with the sold secure rating.
Wanted a small-ish gold rated lock and this one delivers very well! Feels nice, solid, secure and well made.
Was nice to find that the lock clips into my rear rack, making transportation very easy!

So far it has done it’s job perfectly and I am very pleased! Also, having a golden security lock might be important for insurance purposes depending on where you live so this is a reliable option for such cases.
I use both the chain and the Ulock, both excellent, well designed locks. And their customer service is outstanding. When a screw went missing on the Ulock, an email was responded to within 24 hours and a no-charge replacement arrived by post a day later.
I’d also note that it is a very snug fit if you have a large/thick bicycle frame – I have a Trek X-Caliber and I’m very limited on positions I can use this (for example, I’ll never get the frame and a wheel locked to a toastrack cycle rack) so I opt for just securing the frame and the using a Hiplok Z LOK for securing my front wheel.
All my moaning aside, the lock itself seems very strong and I’d like to think it will put any suspecting thief off attempting to steal my goods!
bought 2 dlocks one lock the key would not turn when fully inserted so returned it . i bought another dlock to replace it which arrived promptly and worked. unfortunately reeived another dlock aftter this listed as a replacement . which i didnt order. returned this dlock which worked but was unwanted.
the return took a week to arrive refund in progress over a week late
The lock is small but strong and fits snugly across the crossbar of my bike – securing it safely to a pole and bike parking stands. Great deterrent to those who, sadly. seek to steal bikes.
I read a lot of reviews before buying this and i wasn’t let down, this is one heck of a strong lock and so well made, it’s always reassuring when you have a good lock and this is reassuring, definitely recommend.
Great lock, well thought out and beautifully made. Slightly shorter than some of the locks on the market so fits snugly around my eMTB to secure it to bike stands thereby not leaving any room for bolt croppers.
Being able to wear this lock is a nice bonus, but not as important as its ability to keep my bike from being stolen.
However, the lock is really rather small and it may be almost impossible to use in an ideal manner – Placing around the frame, through a wheel and lock to a bike rack.
Obviously there are some bikes it will fit, but personally, I will use it as a secondary lock and also use a larger D lock to ensure my wheels stayed attached to my bike where they belong.
If someone can pick one or is prepared to use an agle grinder then there is very little you can do about it, how many oppurtunist bike thieves carry angle grinders around i dont know, its not a quiet thing to undertake so that really leaves lock pickers and if someone is skilled enough to pick one of these or any lock then there isnt much anybody can do. As said its a snug fit but does go around the frame on the top tube, down tube and underneath the stem.
I have no qualms about leaving it in public for an hour or two, that said i have my bike insured. The best thing about this D Lock other than the Sold Secure rating is the transportability of it, i also have a Bulldog Chain Lock, which weighs nearly three times as much as this and is huge, its just not practical.
This lock can slip into your back pack or over your back pocket if you use the attachment. Ive ridden lots of places with it over my belt loop and over my back pocket if nipping to the shops in jeans, its never come off and feels very sturdy though i wouldnt wear it on a trail, but who locks bikes on trails. For commuting its fantastic, much lighter than chain locks, and it also comes dressed in a rubberised coating which means its not going to prang your paintwork. If you have oversized fixtures like big fences or girders you secure your bike to then a chain lock is always going to be better fit wise, but this is just fine on as said a very chunky ebike frame on standard council cycle stands and racks and lots more!
Ive had two months use from it daily with no issues, will upate if theres any failure or theft but looks solid and durable for me, five stars!
