Quite powerful for the size. Didn’t expect too much of it so quite surprised. 3 settings. Can be tilted up. Only tried it out really to see how it feels so can’t comment on long term use but I do think it’s going to make the long sticky nights that are on the way a bit more comfortable. I would say yes buy it it’s worth it.

I bought this almost 4 years ago now, and have had no issues with it at all. As with all fans, it’ll collect dust that will affect the performance, but this fan is so much easier to clear with a can of compressed air than other fans I’ve used. It probably takes about 10-15 minutes to clean (including the hoovering up afterwards – I wouldn’t take a hoover to the fan itself though!).
It can be loud on the highest settings, but of course quieter on the lower setting. It serves as a nice whitenoise for me personally, so I don’t mind the higher setting while sleeping.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersSome of the reviews for this item do mention that it has a noise to it and while this is true on the max setting, it is very rare I’ve found myself using that setting. The low and medium settings are more then enough and do not produce an obtuse noise. The fan has been a life saver the past summer and I highly recommend. It is a light item with wall mounting capability although I have not tested this due to it sitting on my desk. The item is a good quality for the price, the movement of the head back and forth can be stiff and noisy but how often will you be doing that. It has no trouble pushing air around and while it is not quite as effective as an A/C unit, it is much more affordable and is efficient enough for the hotter UK summers to come. Does not seem to push energy usage up by much either so if you’re a bills watcher, this item shouldn’t be too much of a worry.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersIf, like me, you have a stroke looking at your electricity bill, then this may help.

Drying clothes inside during colder times is tough; it takes forever and can leave them smelling a bit damp if they don’t dry quickly enough. Drying them in a warm room is ideal, but expensive with today’s electricity prices. I bought this fan as a kind of experiment, a way to speed up the drying process while using significantly less electricity.

So, does it work? In a word, yes.

It can’t perform miracles, but it does speed up the drying process a fair bit. It also seems to help prevent the damp smell, which is an added bonus.

I bought this particular model because it tilts 90 allowing it to be placed directly under a clothes horse, firing air upwards through the washing

    !!!IMPORTANT!!!!

For safety reasons, don’t place under your washing if it is dripping wet.
Spin your washing twice if you need to, to get the majority of the water out.
Don’t leave it on over night.

If you don’t want to place it under your washing, place it to the side firing air across, rather than up.

This particular model is rated at 40 Watts, costing about 2 pence (GBP) per hour to run. The price per kilowatt hour on my tarrif is 42 pence. Yours might be higher or lower. Regardless, it’s very cost effective.

As for the fan itself, it’s well built, and I like the contemporary look. It’s also fairly quiet on full power – it has 3 settings. Ive had it running constantly since I bought it and it hasn’t put a foot wrong.

My only wish is that it was more powerful. 40 Watts is fine, but 100 Watts would be better, drying the clothes quicker at a little over double the cost per hour to run.

Anyway…Hope this review helps and saves people a few quid in difficult times.

Been using large 20″ floor fans for Zwifting, however wanted something a little more compact but powerful. This works perfectly wall mounted in front for a nice faux outdoor feeling! I also have aircon which helps a lot.

A good no frills fan. All plastic and light as a feather. Very easy to move around the house. Fair price for a solid simple product. Only gripe is the control dial on the top is awkward to reach

For the size, it’s great! Compact but strong. It works fine, and it’s not extremely noisy. It really helped with keeping my guinea pigs cool a few weeks ago, when the temperature in my room would go above 30 degrees, and it was quiet enough for me to have in on even during the night.

I had 6 of these (same model) when I lived in the U.S. – so was pleased in the recent unprecedented hot weather in the U.K. to find that I could get the same one delivered next day. Very compact unit, relatively low noise and great at pushing air around. Claim is that it can be felt up to 5m away – and it’s true – even on the lower setting. Recommended.

    Hey Guys,
After a whole year i finally found out how to clean this lovely fan. There are 6 screws at the back and they unscrew to open the fan up. Then you can clean it just like any other fan 🙂 Otherwise the fan works really well. Thought this might help some x

This is a really powerful desktop fan.
The only problem is the setting on/off button is on the back so you have to turn the fan around every time to adjust the settings, it would so much better it the controls were on the front. !!
It is a bit noisy but didnt really bother me as the main thing was to cool down and it does that.

  12. TiffaniSprague says:

It is very strong and has a long range. Not sure about a big room, but it is enough for me. The problem for me is that the airflow is very narrow, so it’s not the best if more than one person wants to enjoy some breeze. It definitely has some noise, more noticeable when you turn it off but it’s not distracting during use, hence 4/5 for noise. For its size, I think it’s reasonably lightweight, hence 5/5. I might want another fan with oscillation, but that’s just me, this fan does what it’s supposed to do well.

Purchased one for home use and then another for a friend. At full speed, it can be quiet noisy, but at this price point, I find it hard to beat it.

The Honeywell TurboForce Power Fan is a compact yet notably powerful device. With its three standard speed settings, it efficiently circulates air throughout the room. Each setting provides a consistent gust, and while the highest speed is particularly forceful, it does come with a bit of noise. It’s something users might want to keep in mind, especially if they prefer quieter environments.

A feature worth mentioning is the fan’s up/down directional adjustment. While it might not be groundbreaking, it does offer a degree of flexibility in directing airflow to desired areas. For those in the UK longing for the box fans that are a staple in American households, the realization hits hard: box fans are simply not available here. Given this void, the Honeywell TurboForce Power Fan serves as a practical alternative, and the airflow was a welcome respite from the recent heatwave.

The fan’s affordability is a pleasant surprise, especially considering its performance. It’s clear that Honeywell has struck a balance between cost and functionality, ensuring users receive a product that’s both efficient and budget-friendly. All in all, the fan stands out as a reliable choice for those seeking effective air circulation without breaking the bank.

This is a good quality table top fan with good speed control and powerful despite it’s small size
It’s very quiet and you can barely hear it when switched on to the highest settings.
I baught 2 and used 1 on the lowest settings to keep my dogs cool, works a treat . Honey well is my go to brand and this fan didn’t disappointe.

I desperately needed a new fan and quickly, but the choice was immense. So I only looked at the first dozen listed, checked the reviews, and this one was really good. A decent price, and small-ish. It’s also lightweight and easily portable. I find it’s quite quiet sitting on a wooden table, but on a glass table it rumbled. I talked to the BFF on the phone and there was no problem in hearing her. It’s 28 at 1pm (9 Sept) where I am and due to hit 30 in a couple of hours. I have it on the second setting and have it no more than 10 feet away from me and it’s keeping me pretty cool, BUT, last night I did have it positioned much further away from me and on the highest setting, and tbh I didn’t feel it was that effective, and I doubt it would be so in a larger space. As a few have commented, the control knob is on the back, with the highest setting right after the on/off switch which is a bit strange, but it’s not that much of a bother. On the whole, I’m very pleased.

Bought this for work as my old desk fan literally crumbled!

This is a belter, I wear noise cancelling headphones so I don’t hear it but I haven’t had any complaints from colleagues so it can’t be that bad!

Only issue I have is, when you turn it on, the first setting is the highest and it goes lower from there, so to get to the lowest setting, you have to turn the knob all the way to the last setting (think there’s only 3 settings so not the end of the world), strange design but not a deal breaker.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersPurchased this as my rechargeable fan broke so I opted for a more powerful fan that worked via mains power.
The fan itself is much larger than I thought but that’s not really an issue as I have a lot of room to place it, but it’s definitely something to think about should you be lacking in space.
Very powerful even on the lowest and mid setting.
Most definitely NOT quiet so I’m not sure why it’s called that and why other people have put that in their reviews, I can pretty much sleep through anything so I’ll be fine in that respect but if you’re a light sleeper and have bought this for your bedroom I wouldn’t bother!
Included a video just so people can see/hear the fan on different settings.
Rating 4 stars not 5 purely because of the sound when it’s been advertised as quiet.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI brought this mainly because of the reviews. Its quite powerful and sturdy for a small space fan, very much like the option of being able to attach it to the wall. Being a woman of a “certain age” its become part of my bedtime routine haha..only downstide is the controls at the back, and the fact it starts straight on high. So switching it on in the middle of the night means you get blasted before you even get time to turn it down! But on a whole this is a good fan and there are ways you can get round the switch at the back if you plug it into an extention with a switch, put it on low then switch off the plug.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIt has been a reliable companion in my office/home studio setup.

Installed above my desk, this fan’s wall-mounting feature is a space-saving blessing. It keeps the air circulating without taking up precious desk real estate.

One thing to note, though, is the slight vibration sound that seeps through the walls. It would be beneficial if there were some dampening options to minimize this while mounting.

In terms of cable length, an additional 30cm would make a real difference. The current 2-meter length sometimes leaves me wishing for a bit more flexibility in positioning.

Performance-wise, this little fan packs a punch. While it won’t blow you away like a hurricane, it certainly handles the job well. On the maximum setting, it’s powerful enough to send loose paper flying off my desk, which is quite impressive for its size.

All in all, the fan is a solid choice for maintaining a comfortable workspace. The wall-mounting feature keeps things organized, though some vibration dampening and a bit more cable length would be welcomed improvements. Its output is commendable for its size, making it an effective addition to my office setup.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mountable, Good flow for the size

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis fan blows with power and is very cooling. Perfect for a desk or next to the bed.

Annoyingly, the turning on is done from the back. This is fine for a work desk, but if using by the side of the bed, it’s very annoying that you have to physically get up out of the bed to turn it on and off.

It also does not rotate. Which again is fine for a work desk. But be careful if using by the side of the bed. My side table is slightly higher than the bed. Which means the air flow does not go low enough to reach

Recommend this for a desk. It’s perfect. Is a bit loud, but I don’t mind this in the office. No air con means this is an essential item as is very powerful and keeps you cool even in boiling heat.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI’m really pleased with this fan, for the price. It is not trying to perform quite the same function as a tower fan or traditional desk fan. Most obviously, this is because it does not oscillate. It simply blows air in the exact direction you point it – and in a fairly narrow column at that. However, for what I want, this is ideal. I didn’t think I would wall-mount it originally, but it soon occurred to me that I would get the best from this fan by mounting it on the wall behind me, pointed right where I sit at my desk. It’s quiet enough on the lowest setting, but really excels at its maximum speed and can be a good distance away from the target (i.e, me). Nobody could call setting #3 “quiet” – but I don’t care because I want cooling on a hot day and I can wear noise cancelling headphones to make the noise a non-issue. Yes, the power/speed dial is quite fiddly and at the back of the unit, so if you’re intending to adjust this fan a lot, then it’s probably not the one for you. If you’re going to mount it on a wall pointed in one place, then you can either turn it on and off at the wall or use a smart plug. (This is great – I can just ask Siri to turn on the fan when I’m hot.) For the price – and its intended use – this fan would be hard to beat.

A bit over rated on adverts i’ve seen which persuaded me to to buy this fan. Bought it to hang vertically above the bed to kep my wife cool but there is no provision for it to be hung so I had to drill screw holes in its base so fix it to an overhead shelf. Angle wise once fixed it was great, but its a bit noisy and as others have said the speed switch is in an awkward place to adjust. The base is a bit flimsy for my liking even if stood on its base (rather than hung upside down as i wanted) single thin plastic base with thin keyhole style fixings to hang on a wall, Id not trust them to hold it on for very long especially if it got knocked, i think they would break off. Does the job hung upside down though with the base holes i drilled, they obviously never thought about a ceiling type fixing only walls of base stood. BUT it does do the job I wanted it to do even if we do have to turn the bedroom tv up a bit so we can hear it over the fan.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI love these fans, I had one a few years ago I picked up in the USA during a summer there and it was fantastic, when returning to the UK I was so pleased to find you could get them here too and immediately ordered one to replace an existing aging fan that was loud, creaky and cumbersome.

That same fan has been going strong now for about 5 years, as good as the day I bought it, and since then have purcased another 2 for different rooms of the house. They’re extremely versatile having such a small footprint, you can stick it in the corner of the room blowing up to circulate air in the room, you could put it on a unit blowing straight across, and it even has wall mountable holes in the foot of the device. So you could mount it on a wall if you wanted and point it downwards.

It shifts a serious amount of air even on speed setting one, which is also reasonably quiet, if you bump it to speed three, it’s considerably louder, however still no where near as loud as some other tower or pedastal fans I’ve used in the past and I would say this pushes more air than those did.

Of all the fans out there, epsecially at around 25, these are some of the best you can get in my opinion and just fit in almost any space making them so versatile. If you’re looking for a fan, I’d definitely give this one a go!

Tip: If you pair these with a smart plug, you can control them via your home assistant (Siri, Alexa, Google Home etc), that allows for you to do some cool stuff if the temperature is above a certain amount, or just remotely turning them on a schedule if you’d like to circulate some air etc.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI recently purchased the Honeywell TurboForce Power Fan, and it has become an essential part of my sleep routine. I am extremely satisfied with its performance and the comfort it provides throughout the night.

One of the standout features of the Honeywell TurboForce Power Fan is its powerful airflow. Even on the lowest setting, it produces a gentle yet consistent breeze that helps to create a cool and comfortable sleeping environment. The fan effectively circulates the air in my bedroom, preventing it from becoming stagnant and stuffy.

What I appreciate the most about this fan is its whisper-quiet operation. It produces minimal noise, allowing me to sleep peacefully without any disturbances. Unlike other fans I have used in the past, the Honeywell TurboForce Power Fan doesn’t create any distracting humming or rattling sounds, ensuring a restful night’s sleep.

The compact size of the fan is another advantage, as it doesn’t take up much space on my bedside table. Its sleek design seamlessly blends into my bedroom decor, and the sturdy construction gives it a durable feel.

The Honeywell TurboForce Power Fan also offers three speed settings, giving me the flexibility to adjust the airflow according to my preference. Whether I need a gentle breeze or a more powerful airflow, this fan has me covered.

Overall, I highly recommend the Honeywell TurboForce Power Fan to anyone who enjoys sleeping with a fan on. Its powerful yet quiet operation, compact size, and adjustable settings make it the perfect companion for a restful night’s sleep. Say goodbye to restless nights and hello to a cool, comfortable sleep environment with this fantastic fan.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI love Honeywell fans and usually buy them for the summer. They are great, sturdy and powerful and I have never had a problem with them. I bought this for my desk this summer as it was getting really hot and my desk sits right next to the window which made it harder to get work done. This is a tiny but strong fan and sits well supported on the desk. It tilts to provide air exactly where you want but it does not swing. So its one of those that will help cool the room but won’t move any air around but perfect for those who want air in their face. However. the quiet operation is a bit misleading as its loud. You can hear it in the other room and its definitely loud when you are on the phone or work video call. I put the fan next to me on the sofa when I was watching TV and you definitely need subtitles. I would still buy it, its portable and easy to carry around and the power is fantastic. But its not for those who need a quiet fan and cannot sleep due to noise.

Golden Review Award: 62 From Our UsersI recently purchased the Honeywell TurboForce Power Fan (HT900E), and I must say that it has exceeded my expectations in every way. This sleek and compact fan has become an integral part of my living space, offering a refreshing breeze that keeps me cool and relaxed throughout the day!

First and foremost, I was pleasantly surprised by the fan’s quiet operation. In the past, I’ve had experiences with fans that produced an annoying hum or distracting noise, making it difficult to concentrate or unwind. However, with the HT900E, I can enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of my surroundings without any disturbance. It’s perfect for both work and relaxation, allowing me to focus or simply unwind without any audible distractions.

The TurboForce technology employed in this fan is truly remarkable. Despite its compact size, the HT900E delivers a powerful gust of air, ensuring efficient cooling even on hot summer days. I particularly appreciate the 90 variable tilt feature, which allows me to direct the airflow precisely where I need it most. Whether I’m sitting at my desk or lounging on the settee, I can easily adjust the fan to cater to my desired cooling preferences.

The three-speed settings of the HT900E are another impressive feature. With a simple flick of a switch, I can switch between low, medium, and high speeds to suit my current cooling needs. This versatility enables me to adapt the fan’s performance to different situations, whether I require a gentle breeze for a calm ambiance or a powerful blast of air to combat extreme heat. Hopefully the UK won’t get the dreaded 40’c again this year but I feel confident that I’ll survive this year

Furthermore, the wall mount feature is an added bonus for those who wish to save space or optimise their room layout. I appreciate the flexibility it offers, as I can choose between placing the fan on a table or mounting it on the wall, depending on my specific requirements. This feature has been especially useful in my compact living space, where every inch counts.

The HT900E’s design is both modern and elegant, seamlessly blending into any room decor. The fan’s lightweight construction makes it easy to move around as needed, and the durable build quality assures me of its longevity. Honeywell’s attention to detail is evident in every aspect of this fan’s design, from its sturdy construction to its user-friendly interface.

In conclusion, the Honeywell TurboForce Power Fan (HT900E) has proven to be a worthy investment. Its quiet operation, powerful cooling performance, variable tilt, and three-speed settings make it an exceptional cooling companion. Whether you need a fan for work, relaxation, or anywhere in between, the HT900E delivers on all fronts. I highly recommend this fan to anyone seeking reliable, efficient, and convenient cooling solutions.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersJust recently bought my first cycling smart trainer for indoor use. Anyone who has cycled indoors will testify that a fan is a must have accessory to keep you cool and compensate for the lack of air flow that you would normally have when cycling outdoors. This fan from Honeywell was recommended to me as a good one at a reasonable price – you can drop some serious money on a fan if you want to. It has 3 settings, and I just set it up on the floor in front of the bike and use the tilt function to direct the airflow where I want it. It’s perfectly adequate for my needs and gets the job done but if you are seriously into high intensity racing and generate a lot of heat then you might need to invest into something more heavy duty.

Nice little portable fan, keep saying little. It’s not that little but can be easy picked up and moved with one hand. The highest setting is more than capable of keeping your room cool. In the summer I use in my bedroom which is 5m x 7m and south facing and it does the job. Yes can be on the noise side, but I’ve seen stand up fans and others worse. For the results I’ll take the noise.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersReally sturdy solid product. A bit noisy for some, but that’s understandable considering the amazing ventilation. Here’s the BUT. I cannot believe Honeywell designed this product so that the on/off and power setting switch is concealed in a recessed crevice at the BACK of the device. To turn it off/on or adjust the setting you need to grab and move the device to adjust. The adjustment switch is recessed and requires two hands. It would be totally useless to some elderly or those with dexterity problems.

Crazy this product had been on the market for ages but still has this weird power switch. I demo’d this to my CEO of 20,000 global employees, some of whom don’t have local ventilation. He really liked it, but hated the controls and told me not to procure it globally. Very frustrating when you find a nearly perfect product.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThese aren’t really quiet enough for moving air at night – we got this for the hot weather this last summer and whilst it was great at shifting cooler air around where the kids were playing inside, it was just a bit too noise to be used at night, when we’d hoped to use it most. Perhaps I’m being unfair – you know what it’s like at night – if you hear a noise, you listen for it more, then you hear it more… I guess if you sleep deeply enough to tolerate the noise, you’ll probably sleep through a heatwave…
That said, it is a good fan, it looks good and it does move air.

It is a powerful fan with three settings. You are literally blown away on the third setting, it will be great for the summertime. This fan can’t look down, it can only look straight ahead or upwards. Annoying for me because I can’t feel it when I’m lay in bed as my desk is higher than my bed, but it is absolutely fine when sitting at the desk. It is louder than my old fan, but not too loud. I do expect it to be louder because of how powerful it is when I have been using it.

For me, the issue with this fan is the position of the switch. It is at the back of the fan and for some reason starts with the third setting and ends with the first. I’m not sure why it is set out like this. Also, There is a handle that you can use so you can carry this fan essentially making it ‘portable’ but the button is under the lip, so it is somewhat a nuisance to get a grip when the button is in the way. The pictures attached show the position.

Overall, the fan is brilliant for the purpose that I had bought it for, but the design flaw of the button means I will give it 4/5.

A Powerful Fan With A Major Design Flaw

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI usually wait longer before reviewing a product but there isn’t really much more to get to know about this. The only thing that I don’t know is if it will be reliable over time. I will find out and update this review at a later date if anything changes though.

This fan is reasonably quiet on speed 1 which is what I was hoping but I have to say is that it is much more powerful than I expected. One thing that people ought to know before buying is that this fan seems to focus all the air it blows at one specific point. I can still feel the air it moves about 10 feet away even on speed 1. However, you do need to aim it right at you or you won’t feel it much. It doesn’t spread the air out like other fans seem to so may not be as good at moving air around a whole room.
When I compare it to a 10 and 12 inch fan that I have, you can feel this fan (that I think is a 7 inch) quite a bit further away. But as I said, because of the design almost all the air goes forwards and doesn’t spread out to the side much compared to my other fans.

When sat at my desk though having it aiming directly at me, this one feels quite a bit more effective on number 1 than either of the others on their highest setting. I could easily sleep with this fan on so long as it was on its lowest setting. 2 and 3 are noticeably more powerful but I would say that they add a little more noise than power to the breeze. Both those speeds are fine for day time use. when it is on number 3, the breeze is really strong for a fan that is so small. I think it is because it is 40w which is quite powerful for a fan this size. My 10 inch fan is 35w and not as effective as this one on any of the speeds.

One thing that is a little tricky to use it the switch to turn it off and change the speeds. I actually don’t turn it of with the dial as I bought something that has allowed me to use a remote to turn it off. I use the Energenie ENER018. It is very handy as you it allows you to use any remote to turn the fan on and off. Very useful for if you use the fan at night.

I did expect the build quality to be a bit better. I would only say it is the stand that is a little bit wobbly. It could do with something to help absorb the vibration from the fan because it does make quite a lot of noise if it is on a hard surface that isn’t very solid. I have put it on a cork mat and that seems to have sorted it out. It also seems fine on carpet. The build quality of the other part of the fan is reasonable although I would much prefer it to have been metal. I suppose this will save quite a bit of weight and it still seems quite sturdy.

One thing I find a little bit irritating is that you can’t get it to face downwards at all. Most other fans allow you to rotate them to face upwards and downwards a little. This goes fully up so it faces the ceiling and then rotates 90 degrees so it faces directly forwards. I was hoping that it would face down a little. If you wall mount it though, this will solve that issue and you will be able to rotate it downwards. It will only go on the wall in one position because of how the mounting holes have been designed. I still think that having the ability to wall mount the fan is a very nice feature to have for the price. I think that makes up for the fact this fan doesn’t oscillate like many do.

I have seen quite a few people comment that this fan collects a lot of dust and also some mentioned that it can’t be taken apart. Well, you can take the front cover off but the brand has done a very good job at hiding the screws that allow you to do this. There are 6 of them that go around holding the front grill on. You will just about see them if you look from the back. You will need a long, fairly narrow screw driver though. To me, this fan does look like it will collect a fair amount of dust over time but at least I know the grill can be taken off.

Overall, I think this fan is excellent for the price. I do like the design. It has a much smaller footprint that a lot of fans that are not as effective as this one. This will be very good for desk use as it is mush shorter than most fans and as I mentioned before, it blows air where you direct it so you probably will be able to avoid it blowing paper everywhere.

    Really pleased so far.

    Update – 21/6/16

Over the few weeks I have been using it, it seems to have been flicking a little bit of oil onto the fan base, the grill and probably some other places too. I understand it will need a little bit of oil on the motor to keep it running quietly and smoothly but when I took the grill off, I found that it looked and felt a little too oily. I wiped it clean but it still every now and then keeps flicking a tiny bit out. This will probably be a one off so it won’t make me knock off a star.

I asked Honeywell directly about this and they didn’t even reply. You can’t find this fan anywhere on their website even though loads have been sold. I expect it to last but I’m not impressed with the fact that Honeywell say they will always reply when I asked ages ago and have received no answer.
