Bought this because I had unfortunately got a virus on my last co tomputer, I actually got this ten pound cheaper, very easy to use, has got windows11,if your naturally looking to upgrade, can be used for work or like me social media Twitter, comes highly recommended, and more than worth the money
5.0 out of 5 stars Laptop
Yet again, looks great, but I’ve got to set it all up.
Does everything I need for day to day personal life.
5.0 out of 5 stars It’s a nice machine
Good value screen quality not great on HP BUT ITS a fast machine . No built in dvd player no good though
Simple to set up
I didn’t have any problems with setting up this laptop . Everything went smoothly .
great laptop
watching youtube on it is absolutely devine, not much apps to get if you want to download all the tv on demand apps, cant get britbox, netflix, all4, itv hub etc..
but the only thing you can get on this laptop is disney+ if you love watching kids stuff, if you want serious on demand apps you are better off with a google chrome laptop. But it’s good for studying comes complete with Microsoft office, spotify….
very quiet keyboards for library study, connects well to any printer to print
well i have opened the box and got the laptop, go get yours.
Decent quality buil
No compaints based on 3 months of use. Only drawback is that keypad doesn’t have backgroud light, therefore you need external light to work on laptop.
Fast but not a gaming machine
Good for a childs basics but not a gaming machine (which was bot a surprise) JK
Very good
It’s very good for what i use it for brillia
Good value laptop
I was sceptical for the price but it was easy to set up and does everything I want it to for home and work needs
I love it :)
I’ve used this for studying, discord and watching on streaming apps. Recommend buying it 🙂
Positives –
Great camera
Great for watching Netflix etc
Great for studying
Adorable and small
Battery is pretty decent as well
Screen is good also
Negatives – (NOT THE LAPTOPS FAULT)
When using discord, the laptop does run a tiny bit slow but that is purely because discord is a huge cpu/memory goblin. I still use discord however it’s not that annoying 🙂
Durable and portable
Easy to use , fast in operating, light to handle and affordable to purchase.
Got this to replace an old very very slow laptop. Mainly for online banking and excel……can’t fault it really fast boot up etc…..very pleased with i
Blackfriday update. Feels good quality for the price. Very light for the size which is just right.
I have an iPad but can’t seem to get on with the touch screen keyboard etc and wanted a cheap laptop. I didn’t expect much from this one due to the low price but I only really wanted it for using the Internet and have to say it’s excellent!
I read reviews claiming the WiFi kept dropping off but I’ve had no such issue, start up speed is quick and battery life is great.
Don’t be put off by the low price or name you’ve probably never heard of, as I say I only wanted it for browsing the Internet and have been pleasantly surprised with how good it performs.
Great Laptop
I bought this to use on starting a Uni course. It loads quickly and is not over loaded with preinstalled software. I was going to put more memroy and enlarge the SSD but on using it I can’t find a reason why. If you want to play games on it though then you likely need to change both, or buy something better endowed.
Beautiful laptop, lovely colour, lightweight, nice fluid keyboard to type very fast on. Was very easy to set up all by myself using the on screen instructions, so very impressed. I’m really pleased with this purchase, I prefer HP to all other laptops. Always good value for money too.
First impressions review after a few days’ use.
This is a good basic laptop which is just fine for internet and office apps (which are preinstalled).
It’s reasonably thin and light and the battery seems to last a decent time. The screen is rather basic, but it’s adequate for the likely use cases.
I’ll update after a few weeks or months with some more long term experiences.
Only think letting it down is the light colour of the letters on the keys… Need to be darker on the silver background
4.0 out of 5 stars HP
Have no real comment as I cancelled order due to better price elsewhere, but HP is a great make.
Had HP laptops for a few years now but never had an AMD so I thought I would give this a try.
Has what I need for work and my degree outside of work, great FHD screen, not that heavy too. I have Windows 11 on it which i find works really well.
As mentioned never had an AMD before but really impressed with it, handles everything I throw at it and didnt realise it came with an AMD graphics so fairly chuffed at that too.
Overall Great Laptop and would I move from AMD now probably not.
On googling I found this can take 32gb ram so I ordered 2 X 16gb. I also upgraded the SSD to a 1tb nand. Great laptop, thanks.
The laptop is great the delivery by UPS was appalling and the supplier should change their courier to a company who’s drivers carry mobile phones and are able to read a map!!!
I think overall this device is good value for money but stay near a place to charge the battery. I’ve had laptops for fifteen years and this one has by far the shortest battery life of any.
All OK except keyboard is bad design – seeing the keys is a very big problem. Lighting helps a little but the problem is still there. Silver on Silver is a No No
WHEN MY DESKTOP DIED, I NEEDED A LAPTAP TO TAKE IT’S PLACE. AS I ONLY USE IT AT HOME THIS
SEEMED LIKE VALUE FOR MONEY. AS I HAVE ONLY HAD IT FOR ABOUT 12 DAYS IT IS TOO EARLY TO
GIVE A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW. ASK ME AGAIN IN 12 MONTHS.
Bought this on “Black Friday” 2021 for 480 as the mother in law has one be it a lower spec and she’s happy with hers.
The pros are the cost
The light weight
Easy to operate
Nice clear anti reflective screen
The Con
Who ever thought of putting the two USB ports and the charging port so close together needs firing!
Once you get one USB stick or whatever you are using in one of the USB slots that renders the other useless as there is just no space for another (I have bought a Dual extension double USB adapter to over come that anomaly.
Also the keyboard looks fine if you are looking down on it but at any slight angle and low light you just can’t see the lettering as it so feint. Why they couldn’t put stronger lettering I don’t know.
But saying that…for the money it’s a good all round laptop so don’t let my comments put you off.
Reasonable product at this price from the manufacturer.
This worked well from the box, not too many problems setting up but there were some gremlins installing Office 365 initially. The screen is OK but not as sharp as it could be. The keyboard suffers from a little too much flex making it seem less stable and a bit plastic during use. It functions well enough though. Battery life is OK but not best in class by any stretch. About 4 hours on moderate use before I plug in.
I started looking at cheaper laptops but decided on paying that bit extra for something with a decent processor; a decent amount of memory; a decent sized modern NVME hard drive; and a decent battery life. My only gripes are that the keyboard is not backlit and the screen hinge is not 180 degrees (cannot lie flat on the table). That would have been the icing on the cake.
Time will tell, but in the first week of ownership I have nothing to complain about…
Update: Jan 2022. Laptop has proven a good purchase. It runs most everything thrown at it. Super fast with an excellent battery life.
