Overall, this is a great punch down tool. But like other reviews, the spring in mine broke as well. I at least got about a years worth of daily usage before the spring gave out in the middle of a punch. For the price, you would expect it last longer.

It doesn’t click like a normal punch down tool but great since I can’t find my other one and the cost is much less than a replacement ideal punch down. This might not be great for a big job but for one or two it’s awesome

works well but its missing the option for a non cut punch down. the holding pouch is really not necessary unless your robin hood!

i love this kit. hi and low punch setting and a comfortable phattt gripper along with pouch and pick tool. good kit for starting out. too many fake krone tools out there.. hard to tell whos selling real. so i went with this ki

This was a recommendation by my son, who installs cable. I was intent of doing a job for myself without hiring someone to do it. This was a great handy tool to punch down the CAT wires into a wall ate which I had ran thru the attic from a router to an area I needed a hard wire outlet plate to be. Female determination.

Tools are of the highest quality. This kit made the task of terminating 60+ cat6 cables a breeze. They could obviously cost less, but you're paying for a quality tool.

Can’t go wrong with Klein tools. Made solid, felt good in my hand, with a comfortable grip. Opened it up, went to work punching in cat 6 with no issues. Would definitely recommend.

It does what I need it to do my blade came sharp with it. Not as good quality feeling as some of the others though. But it's still a klein and it should last a while.

As a telecom technician is tool I’d awesome. Can do 66 CO or apartment terminals. And 110 keystone blocks and much more.

It's a nice comfortable tool. They just don't last very long. I'm going to give Milwaukee a try.

I’ve had this tool for about a year. I like the long handle and it fits my large hands very well. The long impact shaft makes it easy to get into the back of nearly every patch panel .

Requera slo una herramienta para ponchar BLOCK 66, pero adems de esa navaja cuenta tambin con la Block 110.

Es una herramienta de muy alta calidad, tiene las puntas bsicas de cruz y planas y es muy fcil de cambiar las puntas, es un desarmador no muy largo, que lo hace ideal para introducirlo en espacios reducidos. Adems que cuenta con otras puntas para hacer conexiones de cables con conectores de redes y computadoras.
Well-made and mostly efficient tool
I bought this to install Cat6 and RJ11 Keystone jacks for our home network and a corded phone extension. It worked almost perfectly – just make sure that, when you’re pushing down on the tool, you hold it at 90 degrees to the jack, otherwise it may either damage the small prongs in the jack or just not push the wire in properly. The integral wire cutter didn’t always cut completely through the protruding wires, but they were easy to break off afterwards.
It’s a nicely-made tool (as usual for Klein), with a strong pouch to store it.
a little pricey, but worth it (to me) I like the style of the rounded grip compared to the other punch downs on the market. and nice it came with both 110 and 66 blades. also comes with a wire pick and a very nice belt holste

Don’t buy cheap. The spring and blade popped out during use on my other cheap punchdown tool. Punches were not seating pairs well. Had a 30% failure rate. Got this Klein tool and have had no fails. I use this regularly with high density patch panels and keystone jacks. Extended tip really helps when having to get in between cables in densly populated panels.
If you work in data jacks it's the only took you need to carry to remove faceplates, fix simple opens and flips, and terminate in a pinch. Every data guy must have!

I purchased this based upon researching reviews for multiple products. It has worked well on four jacks so far, although I cannot seem to get the cutter to work consistently. Perhaps my technique needs to be refined.

I always lose tips for multi tip screwdrivers, but so far I've been lucky with this one. The bits snap in a bit better than others i've used. The punch end locks in solid and presses in the cable well, with the nip on the end. It's not something I would be comfortable punching down a whole patch panel with, but it works when it needs to for me. Doing customers' work, I rather use my real punch down tool.

Perfect “punch-down” tool for connecting new phone lines in panel. This is a specialty tool for me. I was unable to MacGyver other tools for this task. Excellent Klein quality for my needs. The cost of the tool was minimal compared to a service person’s fees…IF I could find one!

My “Go to” punch down tool when terminating CAT 5e on an already occupied patch panel. The extra long neck allows for easy access through terminated cables and the spudger helps as well to dress it in prior to the punch. The “LO” setting might be alittle too low but the frustration is saves me is forgivable on these old patch panels.
Solid product though I didn't know that Klein has products that are not made in the USA. That was part of the reason I ordered it. But I guess some stuff is made elsewhere.

This punch down is legit....the best I've used so far. The handle is great and the double blade (110/66) is easy to change around. I haven't used the "pick tool" for anything, but the carry case is great - just strapped it to the side of my tool bag and this guys goes everywhere and is right there when I need it. I would highly recommend this if you do punch downs often.

I thought it was a bit pricey, but overall I’ve been extremely pleased with the performance. multi punch dowm blade has been useful on more than one occasion. I used this for wiring a broadcast studio for about two months straight. never a bad punch.
This is a traditional punch tool with a much larger handle. All my guys live it, even the old time telecom guys. It is much more comfortable to use and less fatiguing to use than the traditional punch tool. Not sure how long this has been on the market, but wish we had found these a long time ago. It is unlike the other punch tools that look like a screwdriver because it has a spring loaded impact like a regular punch tool and you can set it for low or high impact as well.
As an engineer, I've used professional ones at work all the time. None of the ones I bough, except this one so far, have even been close to successful punch every time. Thank God that I own a tester that will identify the troublesome conductor.

This little tool was easy to use for punching down jacks, and re-terminating cat5 cable. I used it to re-punch the inside 4 twisted pair wall side of the phone jack, and it was pretty straightforward and easy to figure out how to use.

I bought this to save time in a small office cable installation. It was a small enough job that the self-punching jacks probably would have been adequate, but this was much easier and faster. I’ve run it through hundreds of punches with no issues so far. The intensity adjustment does what it’s supposed to do, and it’s fairly easy to rotate the bit. As an amateur, I’d appreciate a clearer indication of the cutting side of the bayonet, but I understand that’s it fairly easy to see as you’re lining up to punch anyway.
Have always loved Klein tools. They used to be completely made in America, not sure now. This tool should get 5 stars. It works great and was very reasonably priced. If you're ready to move from a cheap punchdown tool and scissors to something more durable, this is a good setup. You can also get adaptors to allow you to use the punchdown tool as a screqdriver. There's also a mechanical switch that lets you turn the punch feature off when you don't want or need it. The scissors are a bit difficult to use with large hands, but they're well built and cut things they shouldn't have to cut without appreciably dulling.
