The housing is a little light, but for the price it’s fine. Thoughtful design. A solid, no frills light source and you can adjust the amount of light. Emits less heat than some models. I like that you can expand the system.
This has been a great little grow light. I’m using it to start seedlings ahead of planting outside, and not in a grow-room, so I’m not using some of the features just yet. This spring was a trial run, using some space in my basement for some perennials. I don’t have plans for a grow-room, but I did want something that would give me the option for brightness and color selection. This has done just great, and I think I’ll add another one or two for next year. The ‘daisy chain’ setup will be good, and I like that the hanging hardware came with it. I’ve got an unfinished basement, so the exposed joists were easy to install from. Couldn’t be more pleased.
Um I’m no led expert but for its value it does the job plants are growing and I’m pretty happy
This is a good choice for a grow light. It has a dimmable feature I find handy, and the size works well for me. It also stays cool since there is a fan inside it. I used it for pea sprouts.

I was very skeptical but within 10 days we had herbs and vegetables sprouting all over. The green beans are already 4″ tall and very healthy. In a few weeks we’ll start transplanting to the greenhouse.
So impressed with this grow light. Brightness is great. Fans keep air moving. Timer has been accurate. Easy to use. Doesn’t put off much warmth. Definitely a keeper. Priced accurately for the quality of the light.
Easy to set up and install! It’s strong, durable, and has weight to it. Definitely serves its purpose as the plants love the light. Had two test group plants, one with this light and one growing in window sunlight. The plant that grew under this light were bigger and greener! I would highly recommend this light to any grower/lover of plants. 10/10

Lampe fonctionne parfaitement mes semis pouces correctement, mais elle ne couvre qu’une plaque de semis de 50 /30 et c’est limite car sur l’extrieur des 50 cm on vois bien le semis qui reviens vers le centre mais ne fil pas je recommande cette lampe au jardinier qui veut dmarrer plutt ces semis fait trs bien le job
I’ve been gardening off and on for over a decade now, but I’m definitely still a novice gardener. I do enjoy starting from seeds, however, so the idea of a grow light was appealing, but I wasn’t sure how hard it would be to use one correctly and consistently, so I went with the smallest size of this. I’m thinking that I may get a larger one next year. First, it was much easier to set up than I’d expected. All of the hardware is included, so all I had to do was find someplace where I could attach it to the ceiling. And that wasn’t so easy when it needs to be combined with a place to put the seed starting pots. The only places I had that were easy to reach for keeping an eye on things was a table near a wall in my laundry room. But then I spotted a hook to use, and within 5 minutes, the whole thing was set up and turned on, much to my delighted surprise!
Since then, I’ve been following the instructions for how close the light needs to be, what setting to use, and for how long it should be left on. A week into using it, I already have a number of seedlings sprouted, mostly zinnias, which I have grown before from seed. I know for sure that I have never seen so many seedlings sprout, and all look tremendously healthy. To be fair, these were also seeds from a new source, so it could be better seeds. Or it could be the lights. Or, honestly, and the option I most lean toward, it could be a combination of both. Regardless, I’m delighted.
If it weren’t for the lights, I would sometimes wonder if this was even turned on. The fan is much quieter than I expected, and I have to be standing close to the unit to hear it. If this result keeps going for my next set of seeds I’m starting, I’m going to have my best garden ever this year. And I will certainly be looking for larger and more grow lights, as well.
Seems good! My kit came with everything advertised. It lights up as expected. The fan works. It’s not a silent fan, so it can always be heard. This could be a bother to some people. It doesn’t rattle or anything though, just isn’t a totally silent “whirrrr.”
Only time will tell how much my plants grow with it or not. I’ve waited some to put it up after ordering it, because my “Christmas”/Thanksgiving cactus decided to go for a second wave of intense blooming, and I didn’t want to disrupt that by adding the light. So the light fixture hasn’t been up for a long time in my living room.
As a preference, I wish there was an on/off switch on the cord and that the cord was longer, so I didn’t have to unplug it every time I want to turn it off.
This is a really nice grow light for small spaces. It is all metal construction and includes everything you need to hang it other than the mounting point itself. It has a 4 wire harness on a carabiner clip for connecting to the unit, a ratcheting adjustable rope with clips on both ends for hanging it from ceiling height, and an S-hook for the mounting point.
The included cord is only 6 feet long, but it uses a standard 3-prong receptacle which is nice if you wanted to replace it with a longer one instead of using an extension cord, or use a shorter one for daisy chaining. The outlet on the opposite side is a nice touch for daisy chaining units.
The fan is not temperature controlled, so it is going anytime the light is turned on. That said, it’s pretty quiet. The included manual is short, but beyond basic operation, it also has some good information about recommended usage.
I love you can add more units of the manufacturer. The adjustment with a knob is so much better for me than a remote. Since I have a small greenhouse this light and a daily chain solution is perfect for me. For the wattage and number of LEDs this light is a good price.
Nice even spread of light for my Fiddle Figs, which seem to really love the light. Adjustable brightness for an LED light is a fantastic option for the money. I expect to get lots of use out of the light due to the built in fan to keep the circuit board cool which extends the longevity.
This light isn’t the brightest grow light I have, but it does seem to do a decent job of getting seedlings started for sure!
This would be an ideal light for a smaller section of a tent for seedlings or clones to get started, but I would definitely get something better or use at least two of these lights for the actual growth cycles.
Hello dimming function! It’s a feature I never thought I would need, but it’s so much more convenient to turn a dial to lower the light levels instead of adjusting the timer on a full powered fixture, especially if timing is crucial to your growing operation. The built in outlet on the opposite side of the plug allows you to connect more light fixtures together, even if they aren’t the same type. That way the operate on the same timer and don’t require a power strip.
I cannot speak to the longevity of this unit yet (will update review if it dies an untimely death) but it’s wildly bright, has LEDs that put out the colors plants care about in addition to just plain daylight, and can be put in an external timer or smart plug to be controlled automatically.
Dimmable via a rheostat, so no x% – click y%… Make it exactly and previously as bright as your pants want it to be, and you’re done.
The moves a little air around, quietly, so good for use in a tent.
All in all a very nice plant light.
This LED grow light is a easy to use and well-made light system, that the light is adjustable from 1 -100% to provide your growing or existing plants with the light they need.
The fan once you turn the light on runs smoothly and quietly, and the knob that dims or brightens the light works nicely as you can adjust the light from 1-100%. The socket to plug another light into is also a nice feature as you can link several lights together and each light gets their power from the one linked before it.
The wife plans on using this to start her garden early this year as she grows them indoors until the weather gets better then transplants them to her outdoor garden. I am currently using it to give my Bonsais a little extra attention.
The only thing negative I can say about this grow light is the mounting/hanging system. The system is designed to be hung from your roof or another high place and just dangle over your plants with no stability and nothing to stop the light from swinging around, the light has enough weight to it that if it should fall on your plants it would end up damaging them. I will end up building a bracket with legs that the light sits on as it will be more stable and have no chance of falling.
This light is a great addition to our winter “plant room”. It mimics natural sunlight so we can keep our plants healthier over the winter months (better light and more hours than nature provides). The plants seem to be enjoying the light.
The mounting strap/pulley was a bit useless to us and I had to make my own suspension system to hang it as we wanted, but this didn’t detract from the light.

It has a nice metal build with a perforated metal COB substrate.
The circuit board where the COB chips are is not protected by any glass. Everything is exposed but the board has a nice rubberized coating on it as do the hanging cables included with the light.
This light does not have any screws, rather it is riveted together so there is no way to open it for servicing or to replace parts.
The dimmer works really well on this light and it has a nice sturdy dimmer knob and the dimmer has a good brightness range.
At first I was a little confused by the daisy chain outlet, I thought it was a foreign plug but it is actually a universal plug.
It’s too early to tell how the plants will respond right now but I am expecting good results judging by how much brighter this light is compared to the lights I have now.
This light is extremely bright. It works amazingly and would buy more of these.
I am using this grow light for my indoor, winter tomatoes. It’s been working great. Because the plants can get rather tall, it’s nice to be able to suspend this light above them on the top shelf. The user manual is well done, and easy to follow. I like that it has an intro to the LEDs, in case you can’t remember which light color does what. I like that it’s dimmable. I do wish it had a timer on it, but for what I’m using it for, it works fine. I recommend it.

For 50 bucks this is a good entry level grow light. It provides plenty of high intensity light that easily covers an area 18″ x 36″. The intensity is fully adjustable from 0-100%. I tried to capture the difference in the photos but my camera didn’t fully cooperate. The light does not have a timer function but most of my lights are controlled by independent heavy duty timers so that’s not a problem. Fan is the quietest I’ve ever used. Recommended for starting seeds or cuttings indoors.
During the holiday season I had to move my philodendron and Christmas cactus in order to put up decorations. They were not thriving in the less sunny spot but there wasn’t anywhere else I could move them to ensure that my cats wouldn’t eat them. This little grow lamp has done the trick. They are back to growing and growing more rapidly than before. Definitely recommend for anyone that has limited light (great for an apartment setting!) or for anyone that wants to grow their own herbs.
This light comes well packaged. The light itself is well designed with a cooling fan dimmable light setting and expandable! It also comes with the proper hardware for suspending it above your plants. A very nice offering from FRGROW!
