Endlich den passenden Mantel
Meine Frau suchte einen Wintermantel und unter etwa 10 Mntel war keiner dabei, der passte.
Bevor sie billig und zwei mal kauft, habe ich es in die Hand genommen.
Bestellt habe ich diesen Mantel, sowie weitere Top Marken wie Mammut und MarcOPolo die auch super waren, auch im Schnitt.
Aber diese Marmot hat doch einfach den ticken besseren Schnitt fr schlanke Frauen.
Dadurch sieht es nicht aus, als trge man ein Schlafsack.
Das Auenmaterial ist eher matt als glnzend wie das Produktbild vermuten lsst.
Es ist federleicht und trotzdem sehr warm. Sie friert und sie schwitzt nicht darin.
Innen ist auch im Gegensatz zu den anderen beiden auch ein Futter (Fleece) wodurch man sich wohler und wrmer fhlt.
Ihre Worte: Der beste Mantel, den sie je hatte.
I am always cold and German weather does not help. I have bought this coat to be prepared for 2022/2023 winter and it is one of the best purchases of my life! It is comfy and really warm, ideal also for windy day and with light rain. Highly recommended

Great coa
Very pleased with this item very warm and not heavy to wear great having two inside pockets and extra warm lining in the top part of coat ordered a medium and very pleased with the sizes I am a size 12 also perfect length just below the knee I am 5ft 2ins in all worth the money
Very warm, snug, 700-fill down coat, true to size and well-designed
I ordered this coat just in time for the December 2022 freeze and am so glad I did.
It is a lovely coat, very well designed and well made as I would expect from the Marmot brand. The baffles are filled with 700-fill down (whereas many similar coats are a mere 600-fill) and this makes it warm and ‘puffy’ without feeling bulky or cumbersome.
Sizing is accurate. I am UK size 12 (34-29-36) and the medium size fits perfectly with room to wear a chunky arran jumper beneath without the coat feeling tight or constrictive. The front 2-way zip is YKK branded and runs smoothly although a chunkier weight might have been more suitable than the lightweight zip used but I have no complaints. The handwarmer pockets are lined with light microfleece along with the cuffs and upper body. Inside are two deep pockets of sufficient depth to carry a 7″ phone and one pocket has a zip. I am 5’8″ and the coat reaches the top of my knees. The removable hood with adjusters is an average size, fully covers the head and the ‘fur’ trim can be zipped off.
I haven’t yet worn it in rain but a few drops from overhead trees have landed on it, beaded and run off so I expect it to withstand a light shower. However, I wouldn’t plan to wear any down coat in the rain and slip a waterproof shell or poncho over it in wet weather. I’ve worn it in a strong breeze in a very exposed elevated position and found it to be windproof – or at least very highly wind resistant.
At full price, this is an expensive coat and I hesitated for 2 years before buying it. In the current cold weather, I haven’t regretted it for a moment and feel it should last at least 10 years making it a good investment for life outdoors in cold weather. It has kept me cosily warm at -9.5C and I would expect it to provide good insulation in temperatures down to -18C, possibly even colder.
Super schön, bequem und warm
Der Mantel ist super schn, sehr leicht, nicht zu dick, sehr bequem und dabei wirklich super warm. Daunen sind einfach am Besten.
Der Mantel endet bei mir oberhalb des Knies und Gr. L passt mir perfekt. Ich habe breite Schultern und lange Arme was mir oft Probleme in Jacken bereitet, hier passt alles super. Kann ich sehr empfehlen und wrde ich wieder kaufen.
Bought this for a trip to New York and wasn’t disappointed. I have a Northface coat but wanted something with more down and this is 700. Very pleased with purchase. It does come up small so I would go a size up. I am normally size 8-10 and extra small in Northface. Ordered a small in this and it is snug- wouldn’t want to put on any weight 🙂

Do love this coat as it’s a replacement for one I’ve had for about 10 years, only negative is that the size seems to be slightly smaller than my previous one.
Amazing coa
Absolutely amazing coat, I think it’s probably the best I’ve ever owned. It feels so soft, is lightweight enough that you don’t overheat but warm and cosy enough to keep you warm. I’ve just worn it in awful rain and stayed nice and dry. Fits true to size and is so flattering on. The only negative I could find is the hood is abit big and I have to hold it out of my face. But the coat is so amazing Its not really an issue. If your considering this coat, buy it! I hope it will last me many years 🙂
Loving my new coa
I have had the coat for a month now and I love it. It’s lightweight but lovely and warm. The style and fit is as described. Delivery was good. So far so good.
Super warm!
Very well made, super warm coat. Looks simple and stylish. Only thing is that the fit is narrow across the chest and shoulders so consider sizing up. I’m XS in almost all outdoor brands but needed S in this.

Great coa
Love this coat. I did a lot of research before I purchased it and knew it’s qualities and drawbacks. I also waited for it to be reduced in price. It is light weight and really warm. I would highly recommend for warm but it’s not a coat for the rain. Don’t buy it and then complain . It’s made for cold dry weather and the longer length is great. I feel I am walking in a cosy sleeping bag!
My new favourite coat!
This is currently my favourite coat; it feels soft, lightweight and warm. Other reviews said they had a problem with the zip but mine is fine; it’s just back to front for me but you get used to it. The coat has a lifetime garentee for the zip if it breaks or sticks anyway. I love the soft lining and the long length. The only thing I would change is the cuffs being tighter and the neck being more padded to make it more snug but that is not a big deal as a scarf or wearing a polo neck jumper solves that problem. The coat is warm; I was in search of the warmest mid priced range coat I could find. I have really feel the cold and find i need an extra jumper underneath in anything colder than 3oc but I bought the size large although I am a size medium(12) to accommodate this and it’s a perfect fit.

Exactly what I wanted
I love this coat! It’s so soft, stylish and importantly warm. I am so happy with my purchase. Regarding size I am a 12-14 with a smaller bust and bigger bum and the L was perfect for me, with enough room to wear a thick jumper. What I also like is that the hood is small. Very very happy with this coat.
Lovely coat and I really really wanted to keep it as it feels great on. But it was too long for my short legs! Sent back and ordered another one in the shorter design.
Warm, cosy, long coa
I am quite tall, 5ft 9in and find it difficult to get coats that are long enough . This is just above my knees. It is well made, the top has a cosy lining and the pockets and lined and keep hands warm. The coat has some shape and is not too bulky, unlike many other down coats. I live by the sea where is is always windy and this has kept me warm this winter. A good coat.
Beautiful coa
I love this coat – so light and well made – it looks really nice because of the angling of the padding.
One downside for me was that the sleeves are way too long so the sleeves were bunched up and looked bulky. However I found I could fold the sleeves up about 2 – 4 inches which made all the difference.
Another plus is that the fur round the hood is really nice and the hood a good size – not too big. In addition the beautiful material is rain resistant.Also its a lovely colour a great inky navy – not at all boring and it has a slight sheen –

Great coa
Very happy with this coat. Has saved me in 0 deg C temperatures and winds. One slight improvement could be lengthening the sleeves slightly, and also the ability to remove the fur from the hood (the fur irritates me but I’d still like to use the hood). Nice lined pockets and great length down to the knees. Overall very happy.
The XS is for a 25.5 inch waist, any larger then this will be super snug – I only know this as I’ve gained an inch after the hols.
The design is elegant; the length reaches my knees (5ft 4), and doesn’t make me look like a Michelin man.
To compare it against my North Face Metropols, the Marmot is superior. TNF doesn’t look as elegant and isn’t as warm as the Marmot Montreaux for several reasons:
Marmot has cuffed the sleeves meaning the cold can’t creep up the arms.
Marmot has added a faux suede type fabric inside the arms and also inside part of the inner lining, which keeps you warmer.
Marmot has a smaller hood that sits close to the head, whereas north face metropolis has an enormous hood that’s not only visually ugly but can be blown off the head easily.
The filling is generous and the cut is flattering to the figure.
Marmot keeps me warm in windy and cold conditions whereas my North face metropolis only kept me warm in semi-cold conditions.

I debated getting the medium or large after seeing other reviews. I’m a UK size 12. I’d describe the medium in this coat as somewhere between a UK 10 and 12. I think the large would have been fine on me. I’ll keep the medium though. It is fitted but I can wear a jumper underneath this, zip it up full and still sit down in it without anything seeming like it’s about to burst or break. These puffer coats can seem a little bulky sometimes, but this doesn’t, probably because it’s such a neat fit. There’s a useful inside zipped pocket. I haven’t worn it in cold weather but it seems like it will be warm. It’s a nice length, I’m 5’8″.
A bit too long than expected, but extremely warm and comfortable. I would say it is better than Rab, as the outer line is softer and because of the fleece in the inner part and pockets, which helps a lot! Hood is a bit small, but faux fur helps to keep in place

Great quality and great fit. Love the hood, the fabric, the warmth. Also like the warm furry lining half way down. Great pocketry and doesn’t compromise fit on a female figure.
Great length (I’m 5’11). My size 14 was true to size.
I was in a quandary given the reviews as to whether to purchase the M or L. I’m 5’8″, 34C and generally size 10/12 or M. Not wanting to feel restricted across the chest as I’m more broad in the shoulder, or by wearing a 2nd layer as mentioned in some of the reviews, it gets cold here… I purchased L! Delivery was super speedy and I’m truly delighted. The coat looks lovely, feels snug & cosy as soon as it’s put on. It comes to my knees, light weight and water resistant. To date no down/feathers have appeared through the fabric. Highly recommended if you are seeking a very warm winter coat 🙂
I was a little apprehensive when ordering this coat, having read a number of reviews, about sizing. However, I needn’t have worried. I am a size 14, 5’10” and the Large was perfect, even with a thicker jumper underneath. The length comes to my knees, which I really wanted and didn’t expect. I wore it this last weekend when going to Brugge in Belgium, where it’s surrounded by canals, therefore can get really rather cold when the wind gets up. I was as snug as the proverbial bug. I love the lined pockets, which were cosy. The extra internal pockets are useful too. The hood is a little big, but liveable. The coat is very lightweight too. Really very pleased with this purchase.
UPDATE: I originally bought this coat to travel to the furthest north you can go, in Norway, in November. I wore this, along with layers underneath and was toasty all the time. A brilliant buy!
Lovely warm long coat, just what I wanted. A bit on the pricey side but very good quality so happy. Bought a large having read previous reviews, I’m usually a size 12, and wanted to be able to wear a thick jumper underneath. It comes to just above my knees and I’m 6ft tall.
Marmot coats are amazing. It is long, warm and it has a hood. It is ideal for Winter in London. U will have to wear layers underneath but the coat will protect you. I have been wearing Marmot coats for a long time and I have loved the colours it has come in.
Beautiful coat, but I had to return it as it was too tight on the shoulders… so if you have wide shoulders like me, it may be a bit tight. It fitted perfectly everywhere else.
With 700 down fill, this promises to be a warm coat. The cuffs also have an inner layer to keep cold air from travelling up your sleeves. I heeded the advice of other reviewers and bought a medium instead of my usual small, however I almost think I need a large!! Also the coat wasn’t as frumpy as I expected based on some reviews.
Absolutely love the coat. It was purchased for me as a Christmas present. I must say though that the sizing of the garments are scary!! I have recently lost a lot of weight. and am a reasonable size now for my height. I had to get XXL in order to fit well!! This played a horrid mind game with me!
This is a very warm coat as others have said and as some have tested in much colder climate than in the UK. It is very comfortable to wear, weight is probably appropriate to its warmth. There are two inner pockets which I find very useful. I think it would look better on taller people. I am 5 ‘2 wearing S, the coat comes down to one inch below my knees so it does swamp me a bit.
Update: This is the second winter I have had this. I found this year colder than last and I have found that I can’t live without this coat. It is super warm so there is no need for bulky layers. I usually just have a cotton top underneath and the coat keeps me very well insulated. For comparison I also have the Northface arctic parka and the Patagonia tres 3 in 1 coat. The Marmot is by far the warmest and most comfortable. Obviously the other two have better weather resistance having water-repelling outer shells. That said I was caught in a heavy shower once while wearing the Marmot. The outer fabric looked pretty soaked but after I hung it up upon arriving home the fabric dried completely in no time. I am so impressed with this coat that I have decided to buy exclusively Marmot down coats for my children from now as I believe they are quality products and one of the warmest on the market.
Even though it is a bit tight I love it as it doesn’t look buggy but very feminine. Because it’s warm I don’t need many layers anyway. It is soft inside and very well finished. It’s expensive but I don’t regret buying when it’s windy and cold outside and I feel warm and well covered. The hood is relatively small so it fits well and isn’t blown off by wind.
Adore my coat. Perfect for watching my son play football. Lots have people have displayed coat envy! Light yet very warm. I look a bit like a marshmallow but it’s a small price to pay. Everything seems high quality, no feather escapes and I have worn it in drizzle with no problem. I imagine it will be my faithful winter companion for many years. Also the pockets are lined with something really soft and snugly, they really have thought of everything!
